Mr Porter is absolutely a great Criminal Attorney. But his reckless and absolute refusal to speak on behalf of his clients desires in Divorce and Custody should make it against the standards to practice in those areas. Charged over 8000 dollars and I ended up worse than if I had a court appointed attorney for custody. Selfish and shady.

So terrible! Hired her to present our case for visitation rights. She said virtually nothing for us in court, even though I’d sent her pages of relevant background info. She lost our case, then couldn’t even talk to us for five minutes. Had to race off to another hearing. She didn’t even know the 1986 NY case that says grandparents can be granted visitation. Truly a callous, un knowledgeable, uncaring attorney.

This was actually my second attorney (the first was NOT a good place), and a step in the right direction. Everyone I delt with in this office took me seriously, and understands that this is NOT an easy process. My attorney was Asa Neff and he was wonderful. He took time to explain what was going on and made sure that if I was adamant about a point he taught for it.
Divorce is difficult, and there's a lot of parts, it's good to have someone like Asa that will explain it to you as most of us don't know what all the laws mean is huge. He is also there for you after for any issues that may arrive after your initial case is closed, including asking how things are going (in my case custody was involved).
Though I wish divorce on no one, should you need a lawyer I highly recommend Cordell & Cordell, specifically Asa.
I have actually come back to this law forl.for ongoing issues that have come up, after the divorce but related, and every time I am treated with the same care. Not to mention the amazing office staff that has helped me throughany moments! Honestly they can all deal withe and my stress and over thinking, thars a huge deal, I am the queen of what if, and what are the possible outcomes, and they all keep me in the moment.

Did an excellent job with Ms Carroll, but there are thousands of regular people who suffered abuse on a daily basis and not just one encounter like Ms Carroll, yet this firm only goes for the high profile cases and does not care about the rest of the women out there who endured heinous abuse simply because we are not rich, powerful or have connections.

I’m to the point of finding a new lawyer. Mr. William has yet to get anything done during my divorce and it’s been going on for months. They forgot to send over paperwork to me as promised only to find out he will be gone yet again for another couple of weeks. I barely hear from him the only time I can get in contact with anyone is through his staff. I’m truly disappointed in this company and do not recommend.

Tina and Tim have both spent a lot of time on my case. They have been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and supportive. Not everyone can handle their honesty and approach, but they get stuff done. And they do it with expertise and passion for getting the job done. Excellent petition writing, filing, court appearance (virtual and in-person), thorough, and just a hardcore practice that works as a team and accomplishes a lot. DO NOT HIRE HER!!!
She's a scam artist, she stole my money, did 0 work. It took me two months to get my money back from her, and that's only after I filed and paid for a grievance claim through bar association. After months and countless calls and texts of me trying to get her to do anything, she then said "she didn't feel like it" and wouldn't give money back, I had to go above her just to get it back. There is so many others that claim the same issue! Just search her name, you'll find over 20 others she stole from, check BBB, and other reviews. She's horrible. The fact that she is able to still keep her licence after being a known scam artist is crazy. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!

Very poor communication! I could never get ahold of her or a response sent numerous emails and left phone messages no response for over 2 months! After leaving a voice mail saying I was going to find a different lawyer her receptionist finally called me back! She costs more than most lawyers so I thought I was getting a good lawyer but I was wrong. Reading reviews I see others had similar issues over the years. When you pay thousands of dollars you expect at the very least communication! That’s what lawyers are paid for! Maybe she is over worked and taking on to many clients or poor communication with her receptionist what ever the reason it’s not professional or the clients fault! A divorce is stressful enough but when you have a lawyer that isn’t responding or guiding you it makes it even worse!

In New York it's hard for a father to get a fair shake when it comes to custody of their children.
Eskin & Eskin were able to get me full custody of my son.

At first she seems sincere and determined to help me but that quickly turned into raking up extra unnecessary bills and invoices. She prioritized clients as paychecks, never responded to calls/texts/emails until the last possible second. She not only wasted thousands of my dollars but also years dragging on my divorce! She is my sons attorney and she really cares about him. I know she does her job from the heart and fights for what's right. When everyone was trying to put me down and my lawyer was absent she really did and said what she could to stick up for me and not make me look like a terrible person or mother and also stuck by my sons side at the same time. Today was my sons birthday and he passed away and I had court today and had a lot on my mind and she really made me feel better like I'm worthy and not a piece of trash. She's a mother and I know a mother understands that we fight for our kids. I Highly recommend Heather Kitchen. Thankfully I was refer to Heather Kitchen by a family member after I was taking advantage of and screw over by Steven Klein & Associates. The staff at Heather Kitchen law firm was able to correct and coordinate all the damage that was initially done by Steven Klein. I was able to work with Heather Kitchen and her team to put together an actual plan on how to positively pursue the completion of my pending divorce. I was met with empathy and kindness. Heather Kitchen and her staff were professional, hands-on, reactive, supportive, direct and clear. When my case needed added attention and clarity, there were no delay, when I was in need of a stern voice of advocacy they were there for me. I never felt like I was being taken advantage of or as if billing was the priority. Heather Kitchen immediately response to my email and is attentive to my concerns. More importantly she kept me focused and my eyes towards the end goal. In the end I realize this is the most important trait in a divorce attorney. Most, to the best of my knowledge plan on getting divorced. I did not after many years of marriage. When that ugly day arrives one searches for the best attorney they can have. While Ms Arcuri was responsive and knowledgable, my divorce took two years, and I had to prompt her quite a few times to keep things moving along. I didn't feel like she really "fought" for me, I felt like she went through the motions, and I ended up basically giving up the farm just to get rid of my ex, because nothing was happening unless I made concessions. In the end, I got minimal child support, only had my kids half the time, and I basically feel like I could have fared better with just about any other lawyer. And it cost me a fortune. Highly disappointed. Would not recommend her to anyone.

I wish I had seen this website before. Mr. Anesi is a very good attorney, trustworthy and conscientious. I have retained Mr. Anesi as my attorney for well over 15 years. He has never let me down!! I hope the client who complained about the hidden surprising fees that were tacked on without any notice, realizes that billing in a law office is usually done by the office manager and not by the attorney, similar to a medical office. I experienced the same billing issue, but being the banker that I am, I discussed the problem with Mr. Anesi. Well, my billing issues went away when his office manager was dismissed! If anything, I think Mr. Anesi was a victim like the rest of us.

We spoke with about 8-10 attorneys before coming to him and were met with not great resultso. Even though we did not end up hiring him because of the complicated case we had, he broke everything down for us and explained it all in laymen terms for us to understand. If we had known him sooner, we would have hired him in a heartbeat. He took the time to explain everything and answered every single one of our questions until we were satisfied and understood, knowing full well he could not take the case. If we had known him first, we would have definitely hired him no matter the cost.
