I wish I had seen this website before. Mr. Anesi is a very good attorney, trustworthy and conscientious. I have retained Mr. Anesi as my attorney for well over 15 years. He has never let me down!! I hope the client who complained about the hidden surprising fees that were tacked on without any notice, realizes that billing in a law office is usually done by the office manager and not by the attorney, similar to a medical office. I experienced the same billing issue, but being the banker that I am, I discussed the problem with Mr. Anesi. Well, my billing issues went away when his office manager was dismissed! If anything, I think Mr. Anesi was a victim like the rest of us.

Then after retained, less so. Some hidden surprising fees were tacked on as well without any notice prior to getting valuable info that could only be obtained if I "paid up". That really kind of bruised my trust of him.

Words can't describe how happy I am that I used Mr. Perskin. I was in a pretty gnarly situation (to say the least) and from the moment we met, he showed immense confidence, listened to me, and fought super SUPER hard for me. Paid to have my review removed! I have a testimony for all fathers that are prevalent in their children’s lives. My wife and I decided separation/divorce was our best course of action. While doing so, I also felt as though 50/50 custody was a requirement. After being separated for over two years, I relocated to another state with the idea that this would provide my children with greater opportunities.
My wife and I had been working on a mediation agreement that she avoided signing…..once I moved out of state she attempted to take full custody of my minor children who were planning on splitting their time with both parents, according to the mediation paperwork. At this point, I contacted Michelle to represent me in this custody/separation/divorce settlement that I realized wasn’t going to be civil.
The mediation paperwork also included our middle son attending school in the state that his Dad is residing while our youngest son decided split the school year, between both residences based on climate.
Although the mediation agreement was not signed, my 15yr old son decided to relocate with me against his mother’s wishes, which prompted her to call an Amber Alert which further prompted our need to retain legal services.
Several days later, we were served and summoned to return him in which he did not want to return until the time that had been agreed upon in the mediation paperwork.
The Judge set a court date for 9/19 in which my son did not attend, he remained at my residence and continued going to school.
The Judge did not force him to return at that time as to not wanting to disrupt his education. We were well into the beginning of the school year…..so he set a later court date which included services for both minor children, who were represented by social workers and their own lawyers.
From the very first day that I explained our situation, Michelle asked if the other parent was the type that would be able to come to an agreement, or the type that would fight to the end …..and
I felt it’d be the latter. At this point, Michelle told me how far it could go and how to best go about providing a voice for the children.
I’m not sure how long this process has taken, I believe we started somewhere around August 4, 2022…..after a long drawn out fight, I believe we finalized the divorce on September 7, 2024. Custody was finalized on Decemeber 1, 2022. The judge granted the children the option of splitting the custody between their parents how they chose …..whatever works best for them…..denying either parent the ability to dictate to the children in regards to residence.
No child support to either parent, equal custody…..and this is how it should be for more fathers like myself.
Michelle did a great job of navigating through this process in a way that let the courts know that we were serious about the role that a father plays in the lives of his children. I think this case is something that a lot of fathers could gain confidence in knowing the court system is not always against you when it comes to custody of your children.

My son got ticketed on the NYS Thruway back in the summer of 2024. I was planning on going up to the court yesterday to help him. God had other plans and gave me a new Grandson yesterday so I was unable to go. Googled the court and this office showed up. What a pleasure to deal with! Both fair and courteous. A real pleasure to deal with when dealing with the inevitable tickets that these NYS Troopers have to give. Ticket was reduced to a no points fine which I paid online. Their fee was well worth it and most fair. Hopefully wont have to call them again, but if I do......

We spoke with about 8-10 attorneys before coming to him and were met with not great resultso. Even though we did not end up hiring him because of the complicated case we had, he broke everything down for us and explained it all in laymen terms for us to understand. If we had known him sooner, we would have hired him in a heartbeat. He took the time to explain everything and answered every single one of our questions until we were satisfied and understood, knowing full well he could not take the case. If we had known him first, we would have definitely hired him no matter the cost.

Complete neglect.
During my divorce proceedings, she repeatedly told me that it was fine for me to move out of my house and start my new life before the court hearing took place. As a result, the judge said I abandoned my children to which I then had to fight for custody. She had no remorse for her poor advice and only said, “I don’t know happened.”
I decided to change lawyers and after thousands of dollars spent, I was finally able to obtain partial custody of my children.

Ms hunt represented me for a time before for technical reasons we had to part paths. I'm dealing with a difficult family court case that she was with me for for a few months. I had submitted evidence to her that showed that the statement against me was false, but the device I had it recorded on was stolen. Hook and bait. Overpriced. Charges for everything single second, even for bathroom breaks. The lawyer is old as stone and slow. He coughs dust. Forgets things and should have retired 6 years ago. He’s not flexible with dates since he has early bedtimes and naps. Save yourself time and money. Go find yourself a younger lawyer with more stamina.

My ex-spouse is a narcissist, willing to lie, use our child as a pawn, no matter how shameless, no matter how long and even at our child's expense. Francine Cohen, consistently anticipated and was always prepared for whatever conflicts came our way. She listened to everything I was feeling and absorbed every historical detail I provided, she knew what I wanted to convey and then knew how to assure my thoughts would be clear, concise, effective, and most of all brilliant. Francine Cohen is a legal autocorrect, absolutely priceless. Unfortunately, so many times pressing matters requiring a quick decision would happen outside of the workday, on holidays, late hours moments before exchanges, etc. Fran never once left me waiting, I never had to make a decision without her providing her thoughts. So many divorces don't go to trial, mine did. Fran and Olga are militant when it comes to organization and preparedness during the trial. They have all documents available in seconds via Ipads as well as paper. if "God forbid the WiFi" stopped working or paper documents were not available, both ways were backed up. If the opposing counsel is unprepared, Fran and Olga would provide documents in order to prevent time from being wasted. Fran made hours of trial and questioning look effortless, she studied every detail of evidence, she picked up on so many things that I missed, she was fascinating to watch. A custody battle that becomes a war, requires weapons and a shield, Francine Cohen is the only weapon and shield you need.

My divorce, custody and child support litigation changed as the situation changed through the years (eg. Changes in child custody as to who was the custodial parent). In an atmosphere very unfamiliar and intimidating to me, I was so much in need of a stable support who was not only familiar with the court system but who could portray my needs and the multiple factors involved in my case to those making the decisions. Fran has been there for us as this support from the very beginning in 2006, through the years when I needed her legal support even to helping to facilitate a domestic settlement agreement last year. In my experience, it was always an instant relief when I'd see her on arrival to court and with Fran sitting beside me in the processes, I felt confident that I had a skilled advocate.

My experience with Ms. F. P. Cohen is that she is a very nice woman but she was not a good lawyer. Firstly, for less than 6 months, I emptied my retainer and somehow ended up owing more than I could have imagined. And I was shocked because I probably only went to court about 3 or 4 times in that 6 month period. I later learned that she charged me for everything from phone calls to emails, meetings and so on and so forth. My services did not match all the money I wound up being responsible to pay. Also, in my opinion, she was not successful at upholding my image in court. She was not even able to portray my image in court and I have lived an upstanding life, all of my life. Basically, if your case is not cut and dry, and especially if it involves any serious accusations that require aggressive and direct representation ( namely custody-related court concerns), I would not recommend.

Renee came appointed by the court to be my childs attorney. She no showed multiple appointments, a court date and a meeting with my childs school she scheduled via zoom where they gathered administration and she never showed up. She was unresponsive to emails, preparation for court and prior to our scheduled trial date she made no contact for 4 months prior to,before, during or after trial.
She is assigned by the court to advocate for the childs wants and recommended what she feels is best for the child and his safety. How can this be done without ever speaking to the child or receiving updates and contact with the medical professionals or primary parent over seeing his healing and progress? You can’t.
My advice. Demand another attorney for your child if you are given Renee, one who cares about children and their safety and emotional and physical well being.

Simply cannot recommend them. They take a long time, whoever is your lawyer most likely won’t actually be handling your case, it’ll be the paralegal. A few people took money from my settlement and my lawyer didn’t even know about it until I wrote my initial review which my lawyer asked me to remove to fight for the remainder of my money. The whole process of being in an accident is already stressful so I’d recommend getting a lawyer that does due diligence, and actually knows everything that’s going on. Once my initial check was ready I only found out because I called in. They don’t give updates like other lawyers, you have to call every time. Maybe they are understandably busy, but then don’t take on cases you won’t be able to handle properly. I was in an accident and settled whilst I’ve been waiting for the remainder of my settlement. Do what’s best for you, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.

So terrible! Hired her to present our case for visitation rights. She said virtually nothing for us in court, even though I’d sent her pages of relevant background info. She lost our case, then couldn’t even talk to us for five minutes. Had to race off to another hearing. She didn’t even know the 1986 NY case that says grandparents can be granted visitation. Truly a callous, un knowledgeable, uncaring attorney.
