Marion is a solid human, smart attorney, trustworthy and compassionate. Highly recommend her to represent someone who truly seeks fairness and needs someone who has their back. She is committed, well respected, and has a strong presence in the courtroom with a keen sense of detail and knows how to research, as well as work confidently and smoothly in the fly. Id recommend and hire her 10 times over.

Laura King Boneau represented me in a case in October of 2024. She was very professional, kind, and courteous. She was well informed about every detail of my case which really impressed me as to how well she had done her research. I was very pleased with the results of the case. I would not only recommend Laura Boneau as an attorney but would seek out her professional advice if I ever need anything in the future. Laura and her Paralegal Patricia never let me down and helped me out with everything I needed.

I was incredibly impressed with Louis Fristensky Attorney at Law, legal representation. His expertise and dedication were invaluable in my Divorce, child custody, child support and alimony proceedings. He was always available to answer my questions and kept me informed throughout the process. I would highly recommend him at King Law Firm services to anyone in need of legal assistance.

I'll give an extra star because they were generally pleasant to work with and my case was eventually resolved, but not without several unacceptable communication issues with possible legal consequences, and a lot of avoidable time and money spent. My recommendation would be to find more professional representation. 1. Received email notification at 7pm for a court ordered 2 hr virtual mediation session the next day, which I only happened to see the next day while at work. The associated affidavit was signed by representation almost a month before so I should have been notified. 2. There were calls scheduled with me on their side, without any notice to me (not impromptu calls, actual on their calendar scheduled calls) 3. Legal agreement revisions from opposing counsel were sent to me multiple times without any input. One time there were changes with significant financial impacts which I had to notice and evaluate on my own and could have easily missed. 4. I had to sign the same finalized agreement 3 times in a time crunch scenario due to mistakes. The first time, with a two week deadline to avoid court, the signed agreement was snail mailed and was either lost or returned which lost us most of the time window. 5. I was not notified when my legal agreement was executed, causing me to almost miss payments that were legally due. I only found out through opposing counsel at the last minute, which is obviously not how this should work.

I recently went through a life-threatening situation and needed professional help. Melissa was recommended as a highly experienced lawyer, which I cannot deny. However, our first impression of her was not what we expected. We were greeted by the front desk lady and she was very kind and offered us water. She then told us Melissa was ready for us. When we walked in, she told us she had to fill out some things with another person before our consult (we arrived early) so we told her it was fine. Once done, she did not even introduce herself or even asked how we were doing. Although I understand it is a timed consult, I believe she should have at least greeted me (the client), my dad and sister. Being that I am young and it is my first time dealing with legal procedures, I am very naive and she asked for specific papers I did not know about. I had brought other documents that I thought she would want to read but she was not interested in that. I continued with my story and before I could finish it, she cut me off and said she would not represent me. Since we had already paid, we stayed. She was still very nonchalant, but I was able to get a little bit good out of it. I would not recommend Melissa as our first impression of her was unprofessional coming from a lawyer of that caliber, my expectations were high but I was let down by her.

I had the pleasure of working for the Melissa and her team for 2 years. Had I not moved out of NC I would still be working there. Melissa was an excellent boss and teacher. Though at the time i had over 12 years of experience, none of them were in family law. Her and the team took the time to teach me the ins and outs of family law. I moved knowing if I took another position in family law, I would have the knowledge to succeed. I will always appreciate my time with the Averett team!

First, I'm an attorney and practice commercial real estate. I had to appeal some of my rulings in my divorce case and was a fish out of water. I looked around at several attorneys and everyone wanted so much and the fact of who I was going against (law firm). Then, I stumbled across Dr. Aylward's blog on appellate issues. I knew right away that she knew her stuff. I would consult with her first before anyone else. She is an absolute expert in appellate practice.

First of all, I would like to make clear that we did not chose to work with Ms. Nance at Bagwell Holt Smith P.A. She was chosen by the buyers of our home in Durham, and we had no choice but to work with her. Upon receipt of our estimated closing documents, we informed Ms. Nance that the payoff amount was incorrect (too high). When we pointed this out, we were met with the condescending reply that we simply did not understand how to read out mortgage documents. The next day, when we presented Ms. Nance with the correct payoff amount in the form of an email with a pdf from our lender attached, we were accused of "borderline harassment" for having pointed out her careless mistake. The closing documents were corrected. Later, while we were signing closing documents, we were informed by our neighbor that there were people trespassing on our property. The timing of the trespassers seemed quite suspicious to us because the only people who knew we would not be at home were myself and my partner, our realtor, a mobile notary, and Ms. Nance's office. As we had not approved of anyone entering the property, and because we suspected that they may have been under the direction of Ms. Nance, we informed her that we were not aware of not did we approve any requests for people to come onto our property, especially as the Due Diligence period had closed. Her response was that it was the survey her office had ordered to be done during the Due Diligence period, which had been delayed, and said that he had no legal right to deny them. I am not an attorney, however I believe I would have been fully in my rights to have called the police on the trespassers onto our private property given the Due Diligence period had been closed and we were never notified that a survey was going to be done. Our final grievance with Ms. Nance concerns her preparation of our tax documents. We first received one 1099-S form from Ms. Nance's office containing only the social security number (SSN) of my partner. As we are unmarried, we file our taxes singly and so I requested that we be sent two 1099-S forms, one for myself and one for my partner. Though we never consented to electronic documents, we were emailed pdfs of our 1099-S forms however this time Ms. Nance had switched our SSNs so that my SSN was on Jason's form and vice versa. Her response was she just put them in the order they were in on another form (and didn't bother to check that they were correct). I replied asking the corms to be corrected, again, and to be mailed. We then received copies of the 1099-S forms in the mail which had our incorrect SSNs. Upon notification, Ms. Nance re-sent the pdfs of the corrected 1099-S forms. I have once again requested hard copies be mailed as we never consented to electronic delivery of these documents. While preparation of all these documents may be rote to Ms. Nance, they are extremely important to us and have significant impact on our finances. The carelessness employed by Ms. Nance throughout this process is extremely unprofessional. While everyone should be double and triple checking any document they sign, it is easy as a first time home seller to be overwhelmed with the sheer amount of paperwork that goes into selling a home. One should be able to trust that the parties preparing such important documents (and collecting payment accordingly) would have the ability to prepare them correctly and with care. I am glad that we reviewed everything carefully and am sorry for those who have unknowingly been victims of Ms. Nance's carelessness and unprofessionalism.

I spoke with Sandy today, who gives the comfort of speaking to a family friend, not a law office. Do not hesitate to call them, she was fantastic. While they could not help with my specific needs, she took her time, and very sweetly gave me some options to reach out to. There is not a rating high enough, you don't often get the quality of care that was provided to me today. I highly recommend them.

I was assigned Lisa Johnson without having the opportunity to meet her and assess her competency. While my husband was causing the separation process to go longer than expected, it was Ms. Johnson's unprofessional delays and failure to communicate that caused me to sever my relationship with her and the firm. While I tried to reach her by email many times when my husband was shutting off all my utilities, there was only silence. It took two weeks with me finally calling the firm's head attorney before she was instructed to call me. A paralegal never even touched base and the head attorney had no access to my case to offer help. When finally she called, she said she was too busy in court to answer my emails or reach out to me. I continued to work with her and my last communication with her was to ask if we were ready to sign papers. Twenty-four days went by without a single word from Ms. Johnson. I was served with a lawsuit by my husband's attorney at the end of this time and after learning that the lead attorney couldn't access my details when Ms. Johnson was unavailable, I decided it was time to find an attorney who would do their job in a timely manner with a firm that shared access to cases in case my attorney was unavailable. I found out that the only reason the lawsuit was brought against me was because of the delay in hearing from my attorney, which opposing counsel and in particular my husband assumed was caused by me stalling and dragging my feet. I have to incur much greater fees to go to court because of her lack of professionalism and perhaps her inability to handle her case load, and that is after 4 1/2 months and $4700 of accomplishing nothing. I am starting virtually from square one with a new attorney who in one week has accomplished more. I cannot in any way recommend her for help with legal matters due to her lack of performance. I gave her a two star rating because I couldn't bring myself to give only one star, even though she wasn't proactive -which meant reacting to the other attorney at every turn- and my case never moved forward in any perceptable or meaningful direction.

As an attorney I knew I needed an expert attorney to handle my bitter divorce; I did not know Emily at the time but she came highly recommended by attorneys I know. Emily obtained all of my initial goals and charged me 1/3rd what opposing counsel charged my ex. In other words she absolutely won my case as she is an expert. I was unsure of the judge assigned to my case and of opposing counsel but Emily kept everything on tract to move the case and get it over with, being a bulldozer or a charmer, whatever she needed to do for me. 5 stars and a whopping high 5. Whatever Emily does she will do it in an exemplary fashion.

While we did win our case, even if we lost, I’d still be giving 5-stars. Mr. Williams helped my 80+ year old father and our family with a Civil Domestic Violence case in Durham County against his X-girlfriend. Mr. Williams set expectations from the beginning that we have a high probability to win our case, but it won’t be easy and there is no guarantee as the defense may provide strong evidence as well. Part of our success is ensuring Mr. Williams has all critical evidence like videos, police reports, emails, time-lines, viable witnesses…etc. Don’t assume your attorney is going to do all the work, you need to be an active participant in organizing the evidence for him. Our court case date was rescheduled about 4 times because the court was too busy to hear our case, but after 6 months of waiting, we finally got our day in court. Mr. Williams is professional, personable and most importantly knowledgeable at conveying interpretation of the law. During our trial he was tactical introducing evidence. He did a great job conducting cross with witnesses the defense had and he was able to extract information that was beneficial to our case. He hadn’t previously asked for the defense to pay legal fees in other DVPO cases, but we were successful in this request with the judge. This is actually the second DVPO case we’ve brought to the court this year, but our first attorney just didn’t have the “fight” we were looking for. Mr. Williams embraced that “fight” we wanted. Someone that was passionate and didn’t throw his hands up when things got tough or complex. He thought critically and creatively in presenting and justifying our case. Preparing for a trial is one skill, but thinking on the fly during a trial and having the nimbleness to adapt is a crucial skill that Mr. Williams excelled at. Lastly, the efficiency of his office was also great! His office staff is friendly and great at communicating with upcoming court dates or other information they may need. His office staff often met us at court for the first 15-30minutes while court was getting in session and Mr. Williams was in route. Great organization and support from his office. Loved our representation and highly recommend Mr. Williams.

Lauren was a great lawyer for my divorce and custody trial. She was extremely thorough, responsive, and I felt like she fought hard for me. I always felt like she saw me as an individual and that my case was more than just work but my life in the balance. She gave realistic advice and was a great resource for navigating child custody.

Too cocky and too sure of results before court dates that always resulted in opposite of what he was “so sure” of, also was not fully focused for my final hearing in which he failed to provide all the documents i got ready for him to the judge and afterwards i asked him why did he not provide all the documents his response was simply “I don’t know”...after final court date i gave him calm honest feedback face to face which he was not professional enough to handle and got very defensive and raised his voice to me in front of others at the court house...would not recommend at all for any services.

I was referred to David after I noticed my original attorney seems to be working against me with the opposing attorneys rather than for me. He was attempting to make me settle on terms that I wasn't comfortable with and that I did not want to accept. David listened to my needs, analyzed the whole situation, and requested documents for review and was totally honest & transparent throughout the process. With a mediator, we were able to accept a much better settlement than previously proposed. I highly recommend David for any family law services you need.

I would highly recommend David to anyone seeking representation for Family Court. He was my attorney through a very lengthy divorce. He was always very honest, knowledgeable, thorough and competent with every aspect of my case...which, at times, became very contentious. He always provided confidence and positive assurances when I was feeling hopeless. Divorce can be very trying, but I always knew I could count on David to reel me in and provide sound advice for a favorable outcome. I would recommend David over and over!

I did not have a positive experience with Ms. Kelley Cash during my prenup consultation. Ms. Cash was indifferent - she did not offer any acknowledgement of my upcoming marriage and instead criticized the late timing before the wedding. I was eager to get the agreement finalized and tried to move forward with her services anyways. I never received any follow-up communications. It was a waste of my time and money. I am glad I found another attorney that offered superior services and legal expertise.

As an Alamance county resident, I had a hard time finding a family attorney in the Wake area that I was comfortable with. After doing some thorough research I came across Jake Terrell, and pick him because of his great reviews, dedication and knowledgeable background. Jake has represented me in 2 cases within the year and has been able to get me the results I wanted BOTH times. The second case was extremely rare and when I spoke to Jake about it he was super eager to handle it. I could tell he put in the work the day of court because he handle it with flying colors! He made everything stress free and was extremely helpful.. not to mention everything was a short notice, yet Jake had no problem showing up! Jake’s communication skills and work ethic never goes unnoticed with me, therefore I HIGHLY recommend him for any family law cases. Thank you Jake for everything you’ve done for me and my son!

This is our second go round with Katherine Frye as our PC. The first time Katherine was scolded by the courts for overstepping her role as a Parent Coordinator when she changed the custody schedule, wrongly taking away half of my custody. While Katherine seems very knowledgeable in her field she doesn't seem to use that knowledge very well to help dissolve conflict in high conflict situations. Katherine Frye has consistently ignored emails related to alienation of affection, domestic violence, protection orders, withholding and many other issues, and has continuous used her "power of authority" as she likes to call it, to make many bias, one sided decisions. If you are in a high conflict case, or your co-parent suffers from narcissism, do not proceed with Katherine as your PC because her directives and help can be bought, and manipulated, inevitably becoming one sided. I would have to agree with a previous review that maybe Katherine is too busy with her practice or doesn't care enough to find out the actual issue at hand, because there is no way a law professional is supposed to be this disconnected and nonchalant about major issues.

While Ms Frye may or may not be a good attorney, I would recommend someone else with a therapy background to be your family's parent coordinator. Specifically, Dr. Carolyn Pender-Roche of Next Step Psychology is exceptional. She is a therapist and understands what is in the best interest of the children. Carolyn takes into consideration the psychology of each family member as well as seeks to understand the whole situation even if it takes time. I believe from my experience with Katherine Frye that Katherine is just too busy trying to manage her legal practice to take the time to fully understand the issues at hand. If you want someone who will listen well before hurrying to give a directive, go with Dr Pender Roche or even another therapist. Ultimately having someone who can truly be an advocate for the best interest of your children is what is most important even if they dont always do what you want. If you have an ex that lies well, you dont want Katherine Frye as your PC as she is too busy to notice.

Hello! I hired Ms. Frye, Esquire to review and assist through a complex divorce, and was thoroughly impressed by her knowledge, her willingness to engage and be my advocate, guiding me through multiple particular law procedures that may have inadvertently harmed my case, had I not known about them. I thoroughly recommend her to anyone looking for a powerful advocate through the many hoops, twists, and turns that Divorce proceedings can generate. I bombarded her with questions and 'what-if' scenarios and she was more than willing to take the extra time needed, so I could be fully armed to defend myself and ensure my estate was not damaged in any way. Through her guidance, I successfully dodged pitfalls and weaknesses, and I was able to complete my goals with the divorce swiftly and cleanly. Her staff was a joy to work with and communicate throughout the experience, before, during, and after the case resolution. Prompt, efficient, and an absolute pleasure to talk to. She communicates efficiently and powerfully. I realize it's hard to trust reviews online, but trust this; you will not go wrong choosing her to be on your side! She will be my attorney for life.

Judy, you were the angel I needed from Jesus himself. Please don’t be modest. Do not let her prestigious college degrees fool you. She does not show her privilege. The sacrifices she made and must have made over the last 31 years for humanity is unheard of. She doesn’t do it for riches but love for her fellow human. God, Jesus will reward her with many mansions, forty twenty year old virgin studs while she bathes in cash. You rocked Judy! You are the best ever. Thank you thank you thank you! I thought I was the only one that had the experience that I did when going here. Then I spoke to someone else that just came straight out with this information without any prompting. By the time me and the other client had left her office (another man dealing with custody).......we thought she was our ex wives attourney. Basically if your a man trying to get your kids you can forget it. According to Mrs Gillespie theres nothing you can do and your ex can do whatever she wants and you might as well accept that and move on. I can tell you this is not the case with all lawyers. But again.......IF YOUR A MAN......seek council elsewhere.

REGINA IS THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS. I recently went through a separation and divorce. I desperately needed someone in my corner to fight for me and my children. I always felt like Ms. Gillespie respected me and had my family's best interest at heart. Every time I went to court with Ms. Gillespie by my side, I walked out winning a little more ground for myself and my kids-- and with a little more confidence. I wouldn't have stood a chance without her representation and my children are so grateful that she saved them from an unsafe environment. Ms. Gillespie is honest, dependable, has integrity and is extremely knowledgeable.

She has pushed both myself and my staff to the limits in terms of making sure our final work product is the best it can be for her clients. I hired Len Mueller to assist with divorce matters and a separation agreement. Everything seemed ok at first, and she asked for relevant financial documents and started working on an agreement for distribution. I then started to notice that little progress was being made on my case, and it seemed that I couldn’t get Len’s attention unless I made an appointment to come into her office for a conference. During these conferences, she would bill me close to, or in excess of, a thousand dollars each time, and we would often rehash the same issues. I then had trouble getting her or her staff to even respond to emails, and I had no choice but to send her a message conveying my dissatisfaction with her representation, and asking her to cease work. She basically told me to come pick up my file and wished me good luck. I asked for an electronic copy of my separation agreement, as a courtesy, so I could at least complete on my own. She would not respond to the request. In sum, I paid her nearly $4500 and walked away at close to square-one. In the end, I felt that she became argumentative and unprofessional to me. A previous reviewer stated that “she will only work cases she believes in fighting” so maybe mine wasn’t one of them.

Len and her firm are wonderful. I can not be happier with them. Everyone works so well together, it amazes me. My questions were answered promptly and thoroughly. Even after the divorce was final, she was there answering my questions. The process isn't a pleasant one, but having Len with me helped so much. There has never been a time when I reached out and she wasn't there. She went above and beyond.

What a Child Support Lawyer Can Do for You

A child support lawyer specializes in legal issues related to the financial support that one parent provides to another for the upbringing of their children. These lawyers assist with establishing, enforcing, and modifying child support orders, ensuring that the financial needs of the child are met, including housing, food, healthcare, education, and other essentials. A child support lawyer can also represent parents in disputes over the amount of support, ensure fair calculations based on income, and handle legal proceedings if one parent fails to meet their obligations.

Whether you're seeking to establish child support, modify an existing order, or enforce payments, a child support lawyer can help you navigate the legal system and protect your rights and the well-being of your child.

When Should I Hire a Child Support Lawyer?

You should consider hiring a child support lawyer when you need assistance with any of the following child support matters:

  • Establishing child support: If you are going through a divorce or separation and need to establish a child support order, a lawyer can help ensure that the support amount is fair and accurately calculated.
  • Modifying child support orders: If there has been a significant change in circumstances, such as a job loss, income change, or a child's financial needs, a lawyer can help you request a modification to the existing child support order.
  • Enforcing child support payments: If the other parent has failed to make court-ordered child support payments, a lawyer can help enforce the order through legal means such as wage garnishment, property liens, or even legal action.
  • Disputing child support calculations: If you believe the child support amount has been incorrectly calculated based on your income or expenses, a lawyer can help you challenge the calculation and seek a fair adjustment.
  • Paternity disputes: If paternity needs to be established before child support can be ordered, a lawyer can assist with DNA testing and legal proceedings.
  • Interstate child support cases: If the parents live in different states, navigating child support laws can be complex. A lawyer can help ensure the proper jurisdiction is established and that child support is enforced across state lines.
  • Child support during custody disputes: If child custody and child support are being determined simultaneously, a lawyer can help ensure that both issues are resolved fairly and in the best interest of the child.

Hiring a lawyer early can help ensure that your child support case is handled effectively and that your child's financial needs are met.

What Does a Child Support Lawyer Do?

A child support lawyer provides a variety of legal services to help parents secure, modify, and enforce child support arrangements. Their responsibilities often include:

  • Filing for child support: A lawyer can help you initiate the legal process to obtain a child support order, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted and deadlines are met.
  • Calculating child support: A lawyer can help ensure that child support is calculated fairly based on both parents' incomes, the needs of the child, and other factors such as healthcare and education costs.
  • Negotiating child support agreements: If both parents are willing to negotiate, a lawyer can help facilitate an agreement on child support outside of court, which can then be approved by a judge.
  • Representing you in court: If negotiations fail or the other parent contests the child support amount, a lawyer will represent you in family court, presenting evidence and making legal arguments to support your case.
  • Modifying support orders: A lawyer can help you file a request for modification if circumstances change, such as a loss of income or an increase in the child’s financial needs.
  • Enforcing child support: If the other parent is not making court-ordered payments, a lawyer can take legal steps to enforce the order through wage garnishment, property liens, or other measures.
  • Handling complex cases: In cases involving high incomes, self-employment, or complicated financial situations, a lawyer can help ensure that all relevant factors are considered in determining child support.

How Are Child Support Lawyers Paid?

Child support lawyers typically charge for their services based on the complexity of the case and the type of legal work required. Common payment methods include:

  • Hourly rate: Most child support lawyers charge by the hour, with rates ranging from $150 to $500 or more, depending on the lawyer’s experience and location. The total cost will depend on how much time the lawyer spends on your case, including preparation, negotiations, and court appearances.
  • Flat fee: For more straightforward cases, such as uncontested child support agreements or basic modifications, some lawyers may offer a flat fee that covers all services related to the case.
  • Retainer: Many lawyers require a retainer, which is an upfront payment that is billed against as the lawyer works on your case. The amount of the retainer depends on the expected complexity of the case.
  • Sliding scale or pro bono services: Some lawyers offer sliding scale fees based on income or provide pro bono (free) services in cases where clients cannot afford to pay full legal fees, especially when children’s needs are at stake.

It’s important to discuss fees with your lawyer during the initial consultation to understand how much you will be charged and what services are covered.

How Much Does a Child Support Lawyer Cost?

The cost of hiring a child support lawyer varies depending on the complexity of the case, whether it's contested or uncontested, and the lawyer’s experience. General cost estimates include:

  • Uncontested child support cases: Legal fees may range from $1,500 to $5,000, depending on the complexity of the paperwork and the lawyer’s fees.
  • Contested child support cases: Legal fees can range from $5,000 to $20,000 or more, especially if the case involves significant court time.
  • Hourly rates: Lawyers typically charge between $150 and $500 per hour for child support cases, with higher rates for more experienced attorneys or cases that involve complex financial issues.
  • Modification or enforcement: Fees for modifying or enforcing a child support order may range from $2,000 to $10,000, depending on the complexity and the need for court intervention.

Always ask for a detailed cost estimate during your consultation so you can plan your budget accordingly.

Top Questions to Ask a Child Support Lawyer

Before hiring a child support lawyer, it’s important to ask questions to ensure they are the right fit for your case. Key questions to ask include:

  1. What experience do you have with child support cases?
Ensure the lawyer has experience handling cases similar to yours, whether it’s establishing, modifying, or enforcing child support orders.
  2. How do you charge for your services?
Clarify whether the lawyer charges by the hour, offers flat fees, or requires a retainer, and ask for a detailed estimate of the total cost.
  3. What is the likelihood of success in my case?
Ask the lawyer for an honest assessment of your case and any potential challenges you may face.
  4. How long will the process take?
Child support cases can take time, so ask the lawyer how long they expect the process to last and what factors may cause delays.
  5. Will you personally handle my case?
In larger firms, junior attorneys or paralegals may handle parts of the case. Make sure you know who will be managing your case and representing you in court.
  6. What documents should I prepare?
Ask the lawyer what financial documents and other information you should bring to help them calculate child support and build your case.

How to Check the Credibility of a Child Support Lawyer

To ensure you are hiring a reputable child support lawyer, take the following steps to verify their credentials and track record:

  • Verify their bar status: Check with your state bar association to confirm that the lawyer is licensed to practice and has no history of disciplinary actions.
  • Look for family law experience: Review the lawyer’s website or professional profile to ensure they specialize in family law and have successfully handled child support cases similar to yours.
  • Read client reviews and testimonials: Look for client reviews on platforms like Avvo, Martindale-Hubbell, or Google to see what previous clients have said about the lawyer’s professionalism and success rate.
  • Ask for references: A credible lawyer should be able to provide references from past clients who have worked with them on child support matters.
  • Check for certifications: Some lawyers may have certifications in family law or membership in organizations like the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML), which can indicate their expertise in child support and family law issues.

What Should I Prepare for My First Consultation?

To make the most out of your first consultation with a child support lawyer, it’s important to come prepared with relevant documents and information. Here’s what you should bring:

  • Income documents: Bring pay stubs, tax returns, W-2s, or any other documentation of your income and the other parent’s income, as this will be used to calculate child support.
  • Existing child support orders: If there are any existing child support or custody orders, bring copies for the lawyer to review.
  • Child-related expenses: Provide documentation of your child’s medical bills, education expenses, daycare costs, and any other expenses that should be factored into the child support calculation.
  • Communication with the other parent: Bring any communication between you and the other parent regarding child support, whether through emails, text messages, or written agreements.
  • List of questions: Prepare a list of questions about your case, the legal process, and the lawyer’s fees.

By preparing thoroughly for your consultation, you can help the lawyer assess your case more effectively and provide the best possible legal advice on how to proceed.
