I would give Brad Jones zero stars if I could. He did nothing for my son after we paid him over $3,000 for a child custody case. He did not fight for my son, his client, and basically told him that he was not going to win. If you are a man going through a custody dispute and you want to see your children, please do not hire this guy. We are devastated about the outcome and I don’t want anyone else to have to experience what we have experienced.

I had been working through a divorce, thinking that we would not need a lawyer as we were attempting to split as amicable as a couple could in this day. Unfortunately, I think the court system frowns on Pro Se divorces and we found ourselves seeking an attorney to assist us through the nuances and legal-speak. Brad helped us migrate towards a clear path, cleared the way through some of the hurdles I had inadvertently constructed and actually shaved some of our final costs down from some of the leg-work I was able to successfully navigate. He was a pleasure to work with, did what he said and completed what he pursued for both myself and my ex-spouse. I would recommend him to family and friends and, should the need arise for legal assistance, will continue to pursue his services.

We found ourselves in need of an attorney out of state on very short notice. Thankfully, Brad worked us in. In the couple of days he had to prepare, not only did he surpass all expectations, he showed us that he wasn't in this for just the money...he truly cares and loves his job!! He was invested from the start and knew exactly what we needed. Brad was very honest and not once did we have any doubt in his abilities. You can't lose when someone who is invested in you, but smarter ( 😉), is fighting for you. No matter what the outcome. If ever we need a NC attorney again, it will be Brad.

Patrick Apple was amazing and worked to successfully get restoration of Licence from VERY complicated revocation starting at 15 years of age.. 40 years ago… now driving at 55. Was quoted $1500-2000 for a contract drafting. First version they sent me had incorrect details and someone else's name and address in it. Then I was charged for the correction of that.
Ended up taking much longer than originally quoted. Whole process ended up costing almost $5000 despite the fact there was nothing unexpected happening.
Now my case is closed I keep being sent bills for them having an internal conversation on the "strategy" of my case. Multiple times I've asked them to close my file as we're done but they aren't responsive.
I wouldn't recommend them and won't use them again.
They blow past their estimates and they make simple mistakes.

Unprofessional at best, unethical at the worst. Court ordered custody contempt that got dismissed. I reported her to the BAR association for calling me names during our one and only 20 minute meeting. Downright terrifying that she is about to become a judge for this county by default.

When we started out, my husband & I had a great deal of anxiety about trial. We were dealing with a very high conflict party & were worried about how much damage could be done to our son. Rebekah always gave solid advice & kept a cool head despite the many times we called her upset about the case. She was able to turn it on in the courtroom & was able to bring many of the aspects of the case to light that we were worried could be silenced. Because of Rebekah, we were able to take my stepson on vacation for the first time, take him to our church, have extended visitation & my husband’s parenting rights were restored. For very unfortunate reasons, I was in need of representation. I was appointed Mr. Castle to represent me in my case. I don't want to go into too much detail, but my case was a result from domestic assault that ended up with someone I love passing away. My team was extensive and excellent. I was lucky to have a fantastic private Investigator (Andrew Wolfe)and psychologist as well. The specialists were all acquired by my lawyer (Paul castle) and they worked hard to help me get through this horrific experience. Wish I could give 0 stars, gentlemen is fraud. I had a custody case that moved forward without me, while in jail with ex friend. 3 months after custody case moved forward without me in court, (proof that attorney attempted to get me to court is incomplete, not to mention Rick Lail startedthe Writ 2 days beforemy court date....) all charges were Dismissed against me and my ex friend. These people think it's over and it's not. I will keep fighting until Justice ⚖️ is served
I have back full custody of my baby boy, who was removed from whom the system placed him with due to ABUSE.

I did not have a positive experience with Ms. Kelley Cash during my prenup consultation. Ms. Cash was indifferent - she did not offer any acknowledgement of my upcoming marriage and instead criticized the late timing before the wedding. I was eager to get the agreement finalized and tried to move forward with her services anyways. I never received any follow-up communications. It was a waste of my time and money. I am glad I found another attorney that offered superior services and legal expertise.

As an Alamance county resident, I had a hard time finding a family attorney in the Wake area that I was comfortable with. After doing some thorough research I came across Jake Terrell, and pick him because of his great reviews, dedication and knowledgeable background. Jake has represented me in 2 cases within the year and has been able to get me the results I wanted BOTH times. The second case was extremely rare and when I spoke to Jake about it he was super eager to handle it. I could tell he put in the work the day of court because he handle it with flying colors! I hired Mr. Allen in 2019 while I was going through a separation with my ex-wife that ended in divorce. This was a very stressful, unpleasant and overwhelming time of my life. My ex-wife was making false accusations and asking for everything I had to my name - I needed help quickly. Mr. Allen explained everything to me...his strategy, how the law works, what to expect, best outcome, worst outcome - he was always pretty quick to respond to my calls, texts, emails, etc. I was extremely pleased with the outcome as we settled in mediation and the settlement was one that I thought was fair and that I was happy with. If it were not for Mr. Allen's zealous representation I fear I would have been clobbered and taken for everything I had. I absolutely recommend Mr. Allen for any type of family law case.

I hired Scott, when I was going through divorce child custody, and a lot of false claims were filed against me. I interviewed several lawyers and hired Scott, as I felt comfortable with him. He listened to me patiently and went through the court documents. I asked him to explain the process and he did explained what I should expect next. His paralegal James is certified paralegal and is superb in what he does. James helped me with the initial documents and the process.
Scott has a great document management system. Whatever documents I gave him till now, he never lost those and had those when we needed them. Scott asked me whether I want to settle or go to court. I wanted to go to court and he went with it. During the initial hearing and all the subsequent hearings he fought for my rights and presented my case diligently and proved the claims by the other party to be false. Most of the lawyers, will tell you settle as it saves them and the court time, but it might not be always in your best interest. Scott is not those lawyers, he really cares about his clients and is not afraid to litigate or fight for his client’s right in the court.
My case went through the approximately 15 months with different hearings etc. All these times, Scott has treated me with respect and did his best for my case. Divorce and custody cases are hard, as these drain you emotionally and financially. A lot of lawyers will try to linger your case or will try to charge you excessive amount of fees. Scott never tried to linger my case or charge me inappropriately.
The most important thing is, most lawyers will be nice when they have to take your case, but when the going gets tough and difficult in the divorce case or custody case; they would ask you to look for another lawyer or will ask to be excused from your case. Scott is not such lawyer; he is there for you from the beginning till the end. He is well reputed and well respected among his peers and in the community. He’s been practicing family law for over 20 years. Throughout my case, I had peace of mind that I have best lawyer looking out for my case and who is not afraid to go extra mile for my case.
Scott never promised me the moon or the stars; he always said he will do his best as the case outcome can’t be guaranteed. He did his best. In all hearing, he gave me more than ample time for the trial preparation. He always answered my emails promptly, despite his busy schedule. One time, I had to visit my child out of state and I had driven 7 hours one way and the other parent won’t let me see my child. I immediately contacted Scott and he immediately contacted the lawyer of my ex and that allowed me to see my child the next day. It was a weekend; most lawyers won’t respond to you even if it’s emergency situation on a weekend. That single action by Scott, earned a lot of my respect and regard for him.
I would highly recommend Scott Allen for anyone looking for the best lawyer for Child Custody, Alimony, Divorce & Separation and for family law related matters. If you ask me, who is the lawyer who will stand by you from the beginning till the end, who will be around through your roller coaster ride of the Child Custody, Alimony, Divorce & Separation etc., I would say Scott Allen. He truly cares about his clients and is one of the best lawyers.

As someone who unfortunately has had to deal with 4-5 lawyers in the few years this was by far my absolute worst experience with any attorney/firm. Can’t recommend enough to get a different consult and get better advice, would never work with them again.
The strategy here seems to be to take clients to court and to drag things out as long as possible to wrack up billable hours. From this from I paid over $10k for a divorce case that almost went to trial, until the firm was late on giving me needed disclosures to complete - when I changed attorneys almost instantly got the case out of court and saved a ton of money and got what I wanted.
Attorneys here couldn’t seem to care less, they are arrogant and will give you bad informaron to keep your case going to trial. Total waste and huge regret wasting any time and money here.

STAY AWAY IF YOU DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOUR SURROGATE. It appears communication is not at the top of their list. Me and my wife hired Milan Phan to complete our Surrogacy agreement with our surrogate. Because of their lack of urgency we may have lost our surrogate. They have been working on it for 3 months, an agreement that we already had completed. Meaning they didn't need to negotiate anything. When I reached out to them to get guidance on things, they actually thought I had my own attorney. Something we never expressed and find extremely weird to be honest. Regardless, we cleared that matter up and I have now called 3 times to request a call back from our attorney over a 10 day mark with NO response.
My next step is contacting the North Carolina Bar and reporting them for lack of communication. Something an attorney can lose their license for. I just find it crazy that I have to threaten that to get a response from our attorney.

Going through a divorce is not fun for anyone and hiring Tonya absolutely helped me through this chapter. Having an attorney who genuinely cared about me and my daughter made all the difference. Tonya is knowledgeable in all areas of family law.
At times when I didn't think the laws were fair, her expertise navigated me through. She provided encouragement when I needed it and kept things real. I initially hired a different attorney that I was referred to. Roughly 2.5 weeks in I knew I needed to make a change quickly. I'm so happy I made that change as quickly as I did to retain Tonya. My consult with her was 90 minutes which I loved because it gave me time to go over everything with her and for her to come up with a plan of action right on the spot. At the end of a long and tumultuous separation and divorce, I am pleased with the outcome Tonya was able to obtain for me and my kids. I don't say any of this lightly and truly believe the universe was looking out for me. Tonya is extremely skilled in many areas of the law. She's strategic, kind, ethical, and honest. The amount of attention and detail she put into my case while working on so many other cases impressed me. Some other things that stand out to me is her work ethic and genuine care for my kids and I. I went through two mediations with her and she's top notch at negotiations and and has strong argument skills. Seriously the best!
Tonya went above and beyond to help me with mindset and see things a different way which helped me become a better person through this very difficult time in my life. I never felt judged by her when crying as much as I did when having to speak to her about some of the awful things that happened to me in my marriage. Tonya always explained the law to me while still hearing what my goals were and tried her best to help me reach each them. While working on each step of the process, she put a tremendous amount of detail into her instructions to set me up for success.
One example of her work ethic is when working on Discovery for me, there was a mishap with one of her emails making it's way to my spam folder instead of my inbox. This caused her to not hear back from me for the last and final step, yet she still made it a point to get it filed in time. She really left no stone unturned through each step.
I appreciate that Tonya didn't just tell me what she thought I wanted to hear, she was straight forward with me about the laws and specifically in my county (Union County, NC). She had many ideas to help my case...some I was on board with and others I wasn't always crazy about, but one thing is for sure, she was always accurate and I saw results in my favor many times. I quickly realized that I can trust her and she is HIGHLY SKILLED at her craft.
Her follow up and follow through is impeccable! She's not just any attorney, she also shows her human side which is the perfect mix I needed. When I met with Ms. Graser, she was unbelievably condescending and patronizing. I felt like I subjected myself to be looked down on by her rather than receive actual, helpful advice. She needs to find another career where empathy and compassion is not required or where a cold, robotic demeanor is appreciated. Adam is an amazing and very caring man. He was there above and beyond any attorney I have ever dealt with. If it was not for Adam, I would still be fighting to get my kids back who had wrongfully been taken by the Department of Social Services.
