I can't begin to put into words how lucky I feel to have been represented by Ashley Smith in my divorce and custody case. Ashley cares about her clients and during what was easily the scariest and most difficult time in my life, I was able to focus on what mattered, protecting my 7 yr old daughter, myself, work, and keeping a straight head knowing I had Ashley on my side to quickly navigate and provide outstanding advise during a chaotic time. She believed in me and was always available and immediately got back to me the numerous times I had to contact her. I was prepared most importantly for the 2 times we had to go in front of a judge and was calm on the stand because I listened to Ashley's advise. Unfortunately my case involved addiction and child endangerment. When going through something like this, you almost spend as much time contacting your lawyer as you do speaking to friends and family. Trust me when I say Ashley is the one you want fighting for you. These things are long and drawn out and I could not imagine confiding in and being represented by anyone else. Ashley is easy to speak to and highly respected among her peers and all in her industry and that was obvious to me. Ashley simply gets it done, quickly and professionally and is there for you to make sense of all the curveballs and things that can occur in a case like mine. I am forever grateful for what Ashley did for me and my family and I am stronger than ever after going through what I have because of an amazing support system I had and have, but knowing the leader of this was Ashley whether she knows it or not. I cannot say enough about Ms. Ashley Smith. She is the eye of the storm. The part in the middle that is calm and stable while there is chaos spinning all around. Some of us, like me show up in her office vulnerable, clueless, scared, hopeless the list goes on. Ashley is not your therapist nor is she going to tell you everything will be fine but what she will do is listen, focus, instruct, compile, answer every single question, guide you. She will only reach out if she has to. Be patient because I can assure you she is working thoroughly on your case. I put all of my trust and fate in her hands and it was not easy. When it came time it was incredible to watch Ashley work. Her professionalism and determination is above and beyond. She is a true inspiration. I have friends who separated before I did and my case finished before theirs, Above all Ashley exceeded all of my wants, needs and expectations in the end. Almost 2 years ago today I made the very difficult decision to end my 2 decades of marriage after my "I do" became an "I don't". The associated legal process of separation and divorce in North Carolina is complex; however consulting with and ultimately hiring Theresa E. Viera was a life-saving move on my part. Theresa is a great teacher and explains each part of the process in a manner that allows you to make the best decisions possible during a highly emotional time. She is well respected in the community and the courthouse and runs a firm full of legal experts who are life-saving. I ended my process successfully and could not have done so without Theresa and her team guiding me, checking in on me, and ushering me into the next phase of my life. I am a resident of another state and Theresa Viera represented me in a case in North Carolina. I was unfamiliar with various antiquated laws in N.C. I initially hired a different attorney/firm and that experience was awful. I was quite scared about what could happen with my case and I luckily found new representation in Theresa. What a difference maker. She was well-versed on the specific laws and right away made me feel less stressed. She was compassionate, thorough, attentive, and took her time to make sure I understood every nuance of the case, as well as my options. I could not have asked a better attorney to act on my behalf. Paul was great to work with. A friend recommended him to me and I would recommend him to others as well now. I had a simple separation that didn’t need to go to court. He was excellent in guiding me as to what I should fight for and what wasn’t worth fighting for since the court wouldn’t be able to enforce it anyway. He was always very responsive to my emails and questions, as were his team. He was a level head and guide during a not so easy season.

This is the second time I have have used Will over the last ten years. 10 years ago I was faced with a nightmare of a divorce and Will guided me though a very complicated settlement. I was devastated and Will was patient and understanding.
Recently a change in circumstances affected my divorce contract. Will effectively amended the contract to make sure my best interest was met.

I am writing this letter to recommend Will Medlin as a family law attorney. As a father of two teen boys and a small business owner, I could no longer remain in a marriage that had taken its toll on my sons and me. Will was recommended to me as an attorney who uses intelligence and reason to protect the rights of those he represents.
As this was my first marriage, I was quite nervous and ashamed to be in this situation. My marriage failed and now I had to share all kinds of personal information with a stranger. My case, as most, was complexed and messy. Will was simply amazing. Every turn of event and every time I had any issue he was on top of it and always responded to my every question, issue, etc. even when I know he was not in the office! He was very patient with me and respectful in all aspects. He always prepared me for what I feel was 100% accurate. Many attorney's I have found will tell you what you would "like to hear," however this was never once the case with Will. I am very happy to have chosen Will. The firm was also very accommodating and very easy to work with. If I could give more than 5 stars I certainly would. If you're looking for an honest, fair, and a GREAT attorney, your search should be over.

I found Alex by chance, and I couldn't be more pleased. My now husband and my two boys wanted to make it official and do an adoption. My ex was making it hard to do, even though he had not been in there lives for over 12 years and no child support. Alex didn't give up. He fought for us and got it done. The adoption is official. Alex has also given us advice on other things. The whole office is wonderful. Crystal is amazing and so understanding. If you have any issues I recommend them to the fullest. Unfortunately, I found myself as a defendant in a child support case after being divorced for a few years. As a business owner with probably a higher income than average, I had many sleepless nights over the possibility of paying someone because of a difference of work ethic while I was killing myself trying to make a better living for my family. Lee met with me, went over our separation agreement and how our divorce went and was confident from day one even though I was not. Then we hit court day and I watched many father’s lose their case right in front of my eyes then it was my cases turn, Lee performed just like right out of a movie bringing up several cases in the past, proving why our previous agreement would stand in today’s law books! I approached the Law Office of Kelli Allen in about February of this year ( 2023) to help me submit my Green Card Application. I was assigned to Berna Chacon- a bilingual specialist in data accumulation for Green Card submissions. Thank G-d I was. She was absolutely outstanding. I mean truly- it took me a while to accumulate the necessary data ( necessary being whatever Berna told me to put together) and we submitted my application in June of this year. Today is November 24, 2023, and guess what- I have my Green Card Truly great work by Berna -what a help she was! I couldnt have done it so seamlessly without her!. Prices at this office are reasonable to. And nice, and accomodating people! I would go out of my way to recommend this law office and Berna to handle anybody's immigration matters. What a great job they did and I am one happy camper!

This law office is completely unequipped to handle modern employment law cases. The attorney was shockingly uneducated on clear-cut workplace retaliation, ADA violations, HIPAA privacy breaches, and discrimination law. Instead of recognizing textbook legal violations, he was dismissive, condescending, and gaslighting—forcing me to explain basic legal concepts, only to victim shame me for staying in a job where I was financially and medically trapped.
Rather than advocating for employee rights, he made me justify my own case, despite having prepared over 500 pages of documentation and proof of clear violations, retaliation, and systemic discrimination—questioning clear ADA noncompliance and disability discrimination. I even had to explicitly explain how multiple diagnoses and conditions are legally protected, and he still failed to recognize obvious retaliation. He clearly does not understand modern workplace environments or employment law beyond the most basic level.
On top of that, I was financially and physically displaced due to a Hurricane Helene, another concept that didn’t warrant even the slightest bit of compassion or understanding from him.
I came in for a consultation prepared to pay $400 for solid legal advice but ended up wasting my time repeating myself, trying to explain the nature of modern remote work environments, cloud computing, and corporate tech consulting. He should have paid me for educating him on these concepts—even though I doubt he remembered anything that was discussed after I left the room.
If you are looking for a lawyer who is compassionate, understands nuance, and is actually familiar with employment law from this century, look elsewhere. You should not have to repeat yourself multiple times, be further gaslit, or feel more exhausted after a legal consultation than you did before it.
The lack of competence extends beyond legal matters. If you expect a law office that at least knows how to update their own Google business listing, provide clear office directions, or even put up a sign so clients can find them, you’ll be disappointed there too. If they can’t even manage basic business operations, how can they be trusted with a complex legal case?
Do not waste your time.

Worst law firm that I have ever dealt with. I would totally recommend someone else. Southpark family law is unprofessional on all levels. They will not take time for you nor your case but will take the time to collect or ask about there money over and over. They don’t follow their own contracts. You can never get a hold of Meg and then you have multiple people in your file when you hired only one lawyer. I really don’t understand how any of them have there License to do this. I’m telling yall to stay away from this law firm, they will totally disappoint you.

I paid this firm over a month ago to complete a simple deed transaction for me. We had a call to discuss exactly what I needed and was assured this was not a problem. They would never respond to me by phone even though I was told I would be called back by the receptionist on multiple occasions. Over the month I never received details on the process. At the end of the month they sent me an email to tell me they were not experienced enough to handle my simple deed transfer and refunded me my money. Throughout the process I simply needed follow up or a call to discuss the status. I don't like to leave a bad review but this was very disappointing.

Be careful of pushy advice to do an emergency custody hearing based on Ann Margaret Alexander's opinions and high fee which she earns with every outcome. Be aware that these hearings are very quick and may be based on falsified documents with no time to make an actual case and she will push to settle and acquiesce under pressure and collude with the other attorney. She makes a lot of money on these quick hearings and doesn't do her clients justice. It's amazing how her opinions change drastically after the hearing- an abusive parent is no longer abusive just the alpha parent (after she collects her fees). Also, be aware that these emergency custody hearings, if there is unfavorable outcome, will ruin any changes of a permanent custody change in the future. Do your research and homework in these situations!

Bree not only handled a lot of the behind the scenes grind on my custody case, but also took the lead on another important issue for me. She was always very responsive to my emails, called me even after-hours to discuss my case, was on-time to court, and her court room presence was awesome.
