Started to use this firm for new deed/filing of proper forms to aquire adjacent land. We got the survey done and drawing needed for finalizing. Tried setting up the appointment with this firm, left couple of messages and called at LEAST 6 times over a 10 day period. No return call, won't answer the phone for me. Went to another firm, and no issues.

There is so much chaos going on in Allegheny County with its property taxes, it's hard to make sense of it. I was unbelievably frustrated when the school district filed a base year appeal against my house, only for the appeal to be dragged out for two years, amidst several court cases going on about the legality of these types of appeals in the first place. Kevin helped save my sanity by making sense of this convoluted process and guiding me through it. I was impressed at how proactive he was at keeping track of developments and keeping me up to date. And his services were covered by a low flat fee. I am thankful he helped me through this process in the way he did.

I had an initial consultation with Kevin regarding an assessment appeal hearing that went very poorly. After I told Kevin I had submitted evidence prior to my assessment hearing he was inflexible and condescending. Rather than politely explaining why he was no longer able to help me because his firm takes an absolute position on their approach to these cases, he proceeded to lecture me about the ramifications of submitting evidence before a hearing. He acknowledged that other law firms will send evidence prior to these hearings which suggests that my reasonable action in following the instructions provided by the BPAAR in sending evidence before my hearing did not kill my case. Despite this, he rudely explained that there was nothing he could do.
I hadn't disclosed this prior to my call with Kevin, but I'm also a lawyer in the area and I was surprised by Kevin's unprofessional tone towards a potential client who was merely taking initiative in following the instructions provided by the BPAAR. I don't doubt Kevin's experience and ability to handle these matters. However, his condescending approach to client services were unprofessional and unnecessary.

This law firm is less than 6 months old, and is what happens when 3 one-star attorneys attempt to make a partnership. If you want cheap legal services don't pay them more than $50 per hour. If you want to win, definitely find a better lawyer.

From the experience I had with John Morris, I would not recommend to anyone. I was told at the beginning of my son’s divorce that should be know more than $3000. Only because he doesn’t have any assets at all nor did his ex wife. There are no children involved. Two years later after the ex finally decided to sign the paper work, we get an invoice of an additional $3500 dollars. They said he spent 16 hours on a divorce that had no assets, absolutely no property and no contest. It was just sitting on his desk waiting for the ex to sign. My son was charged $6500 for this. This is unethical.

I retained Abby DeBlassio to represent me in a PFA and Divorce proceeding. I was completely dissatisfied with the her representation. I found her to be unsympathetic and at times condescending. I provided her with all of my financial information as requested to determine my portion of the marital estate. She gave all of my financial information to my spouse's attorney; however, we did not get all of his financial information in return. As a result, I never was given any substantive information as to even an approximate value of my portion of the marital estate. When asked about my portion of the marital estate, she told me she could not provide a figure because she does not have an accurate picture of my spouses's financials. To add insult to injury, i explained to her that I was looking for a home and I quote she said, "You should buy my home but you probably couldn't afford". I have paid her nearly $5,000 to represent me in my PFA and divorce proceedings and she just requested an additional $1,600.00 for a retainer. Nothing substantive has occurred in relation to resolving divorce proceeding.
Her firm consists of her and her paralegal. I have been told numerous times that either her or her paralegal are not available because of vacation or personal matters. Friday afternoons and the weekends not likely to get any response to a query.
My experience was not positive or favorable. I ended the professional relationship when she told me that she is not an attorney that is available 24/7/365 a year. I simply wanted an attorney that was available during Monday - Friday at least 9-5. That certainly was NOT my experience.

I was fighting a losing battle against my mother for custody back of my son she had them for quite a few years and I had not the best background and it seemed like I was getting nowhere and there was no light at the end of the tunnel but then I found Salah Blaik and he helped me to finally reach the end of that tunnel and see the light. It took a little time and yes he is expensive but he is very much so worth every penny he takes the time out to get to know his clients their situation their family everything and is very honest with you and keeps you informed about everything covers all bases and puts the care and effort in to helping you. He got me custody back of my son and I couldn't be more ecstatic and grateful! Extremely disappointed. I spoke with Mr Beck and was very excited to work with him. He asked me to send over some information via email and he’d get started on my case. I followed up via email, in a week to see if he needed anything else from me. No reply. I called the office and left a message. I Wanted to be sure my email didn’t go to his spam or anything. No call back. I then Called 2wks after that call and spoke to another partner, Paul. I told him it’s been over a month and I hadn’t heard anything. I also mentioned if Mr. Beck isn’t interested in having me as a client, that’s ok but please let me know so I can find another lawyer. I’ve now wasted a month. He took my info and said he’d deliver the message. That was a week ago. Since 7/3 I haven’t heard anything back from Basil Beck. At this point I am now looking for another license lawyer. I am very disappointed with the outcome of this situation. Basil Beck had great reviews and specializes in exactly what I need for my case. It’s a shame.

My ex decided that they were going to pursue the division of marital assets (my life's work) after just 5 years in a toxic marriage. I had significantly more at risk as that I am 10 years older than my ex, and make 2 1/2+ times their income. At my 1st meeting with Leslie, I had presented her with a letter that I had drafted to my ex as a proposal to pay her $25,000 - Leslie enlightened me that in my case, due to the fact that my pension, was a pre-marital asset, and my ex's was not - She may in fact owe ME money! I can't begin to describe how wonderful Mildred Sweeney is and how much she has helped in a rather long custody dispute. I came to her with only "supervised visitation" of my two children that I helped raise and left at the end with more then what I could have hoped and asked for. Not only did she help end my divorce, but she traveled the dark waters of child sharing with the underdog parent. Mildred is personal and cares and really gets deep into her cases.
