I cannot say enough good things about Lisa Werner and her staff. They guided me through a long and painful divorce process with an abusive and bullying husband. Lisa fought hard to get me my results. Please reconsider if you’re planning on using this law firm. They are HORRIBLE and they do not communicate with the client. They only answer the phone when they’re trying to get you as a client and after that you won’t hear from them. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!!

Please, Please be careful with this attorney. He acts like he’s there to help you but he’s not. He will try and get you to make bad deal that’s being offered by the prosecutor. I’m in the process of reporting him to the TN Law Board. If you don’t want to get the worst deal possible or end up going to jail find another lawyer.

She was opposing counsel for my ex.
Her initial complaint was riddled with errors, including the fact that we owned land together, which a cursory search or phone call would have verified. The Order setting the hearing had the wrong hearing date and was never actually served to me. There was no duedilligence done by her or her firm. She showed up in court in a sheath dress, sandles and wearing her sunglasses as a "headband". She is the epitomy of unprofessionalism. No matter what they have to say about me, that doesn't negate the blatent mistakes and errors in the filed court documents. Debs and Davy should both be reprimanded for their unbelievable unprofessional and inadequate practice of the law.

I could not have chosen a better law office or attorney to represent myself and my family. Debbie Zimmerle was our super star on more than one occasion when. During a time that was very difficult for us we found comfort and security in speaking with her and knowing our side would be heard in court. I paid over $3000 for a child support modification case where numerous mistakes were made. I tried to be understanding at first but then when it took a weeks and months to get simple things done I started advising things needed to improve. It took over a year to get a simple child support modification done. My case was never put first . The day before my first scheduled court date at 3:30pm they called to tell me we weren’t having court bc the other party had not been served. They didn’t even make sure that was done right !

She was a great attorney, she helped me get my daughter back. My original attorney was kicked off my case and she was court appointed. the judge ordered the paid attorney to give me $2500 of my $4500 back. I went to the court house and the lady at the court house gave me a copy of the paper work saying the old attorney already paid my attorney (Autumn Chastain) my money back and I had to take that to her office to request my money. She said she never recieved my money from William Winchester. I went back to the Court house and they said it showed right there in the paperwork that he indeed paid my money back and autumn has it! I went back to her office several times and the desk lady said she wasn't there every time. No returned phone calls. The last time i went up there I left a copy with the secretary that she said she would give to autumn. I never heard anything back. I was never paid my court ordered money. I still have my copy and it still makes me angry every time I think about it! Im grateful for her helping me get my daughter back. She even gave her stuff for Christmas the first year I had her back, but it seems like I paid for it really. I tried many times at 2 different offices she moved to, nothing!

Autumn represented me in the wrongful death of my daughter. It was a difficult case but Autumn was there for me through every stage of the case. I have gone through a hard year of trying to get a divorce and while my divorce is still not over I would not have wanted to go through this without Tarsila in my corner. She is always fair and has helped to keep me grounded ( even during my many melt downs and freak outs). She always keeps me up to date on all information and is very fact based which I love as I believe a divorce should be about the facts. She will even respond to my many emails after hours and while away on vacation (again even if it's just to calm me down or help me understand something). While no one gets married with the desire to get divorced if that does happen and you want someone who will be in your corner who is truely fair and gives you realistic expectations based on your situation she is the lawyer you want. I can't relay my gratitude enough for her services this far even though it's not over yet.

Please take my advice and stay away! Yes emails are $58 a pop. Yes they charge you $290-$330 per hour. Yes you have to deposit at least $1250-$1800 in retainer fees. Yes you do have to put $5000 in your retainer at court. No I was not happy with the outcome for $20,450.... that's right $20,450! Not for men for them! I wish I could charge them $100 per letter in this review.

As in the last review I too hired Edward at the lowest point in my life. He was very good with me and let me know what my options were right away. She had a ruthless lawyer and he handled her very well. I reached out to Mr. Rasberry for a consultation on divorce and he didn't listen to a word I said. He responded to my questions with unrelated information emphasizing just how little he listened to me. Even though he clearly didn't care about me or my case he made sure to talk down to me during the entire conversation. to boot he frequently interrupted me and spoke disparagingly about my situation. After seeing his history of reprimand and the annual disciplinary actions taken against him it is clear he should explore a new industry. Perhaps one where he doesn't have to interact with others as sympathy, empathy and sheer humanity are severely lacking in his skill set. There are many other lawyers in TN, keep searching.

Mr. Rasberry always represented me in a professional manner. Recently we had to file a order to protect my daughter while her father is dealing with mental health issues, Johnny worked nonstop for two days interviewing witnesses and drawing up papers in order to get this in front of a judge, where he worked with father's attorney to protect my daughter with her father's consent until a resolution can be reached. Out of the blue, he sent me a surprise bill that was more than double the agreed amount for a simple legal matter. When confronted, he admitted that he did not communicate this change, yet still tried to collect on the overcharge.

Jim Widrig represented me during my divorce and what I most appreciated about him was guidance through a difficult time. Divorce can be very stressful and in my case, it was fast and hard. During some of the most challenging points of my litigation, Jim reminded me that this is a long game. When you are involved in a divorce with children it can be emotion-filled. His experience and understanding what was most important to me (children/custody) allowed him to provide the best advice. Miss Mullins is an unprofessional mediator. She is not able to keep the parties on track so a plan can not be formulated. She is not worth the expense you will end up losing money by using her. I would recommend finding a different mediator.

On 6.15.21 I hired Ashley to handle the adoption of my grandson that I already had legal guardianship of. I know she sent a processor in 11.21 to find the bio-father to sign over custody. From that point on she didn't do anything else on my case until I filed a complaint with the State board. Finally on 1.19.23 we went to court and she didn't have the proper paperwork. I didn't hear from her again until I hired another lawyer to finish what she started. On 3.8 she called said she was on her way to court to have the judge sign and pick up my certified copies to mail to me. I've reached out several times and as of today, 4.3.23 I still haven't gotten my copies of the adoption. Please...don't use this attorney!

Ashley was truly a god send to our family! When our private adoption got a little sticky and the hospital was doing/saying conflicting things to the birth mother, whom had made her choice of a private adoption and chose my husband and I, Ashley truly went to bat for us! In the most respectful, tactful, but productive way she contacted the appropriate hospital attorneys and authority's to make sure our sons custody arrangement and his safety, best interest, and well-being was the number one thing everyone focused on. When our son was three days old and in the NICU, Ashley was able to meet with a judge to get us emergency custody of our son, per the birth parents wishes, so we could make appropriate medical decisions for him, visit him, and begin to bond with him before bringing him home from the hospital. Throughout our entire adoption process, Ashley made sure we were informed, prepared, and also had everything done exactly as needed for the legal side of this adoption. Our case was very unusual and we always had a million questions, emailed her pretty much weekly, spoke on the phone often, and visited her in the office with our son and no matter how many times she had answered the question before, she always explained things to us again. Aside from being an amazing attorney, who communicated often with us and kept us in the loop of where we were at in the filing process, she always showed us that she truly cared. She took interest in our personal story, why we were adopted, and she truly loves our son and he loves her even more. Any time we saw her, he was reaching for her. I’m not sure that without Ashley’s tenacity, tact, strength, and persistence that we would have our son; seeing as the hospital had some conflicting thoughts when he was born and until he was three days old. My husband and I cannot speak more highly of Ashley (and everyone At the Barnett Firm) as they truly fought not only for us, but with us to become parents. There will never be enough thanks and praise to show and tell her!

My son’s dad recently used this company to change our current parenting plan. We went to mediation and settled on a new plan but I never got a copy. My son’s father recently passed away and I called to ask for a copy to see if it got finalized because like I said we went to mediation and I never heard anything after that.
I called to ask to speak to someone so I could get a copy to prove my son’s father did have partial custody of our son.
They refused to speak to me and told me they couldn’t since I was the other party even though the other party is passed away. Very unprofessional on their end.

I am not happy with this firm at all. Settled divorce, however there was 120 days for the other party to pay what was due, and the file was to stay open.
days passed no money and called - they will not even talk to me unless I start the process from the beginning etc.
Very unprofessional and I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Professional Responsibility. I doubt it will do much good, but other than this what can one do.

Talked a good talk, but did very little. I never received communication, documents, returned phone calls. Was not informed of a court date, nor was the opposing counsel! Billed several thousand dollars for nothing. Left firm abruptly (I assume he was fired) which was the only positive thing that happened.

We retained Mrs Ogle for an important matter and was extremely disappointed in her representation. There were several times I reached out to find out the status on certain topics to no reply, ever. There were several things that she did not follow through with. I had several questions during our meeting and also the day of court and she literally told me “not now” or basically gave me a look that said shut up. She did not fight for the needs of our situation. The only time I felt confident in Mrs Ogle was when she was selling herself during the consultation. I regret hiring Mrs Ogle, she is not an aggressive attorney at all. Anyone looking to hire Mrs Ogle, I would look elsewhere. I have never written a review of any kind in my life but felt the need to save someone else from wasting their money.

Her rates were reasonable and I left satisfied with the time that it took and the end result. We hired her because of her reputation for providing the best work for making sure children's best intrests always came 1st. She failed to contact eye witnesses, did not keep us updated on court dates, and became hostile to us in the middle of a hearing. These failures caused a child to be separated from her family for a minimum of 14 weeks. Upon hiring a new lawyer, we discovered paperwork she had never given us and undisclosed meetings with opposing counsel.

This lawyer tried to take me to jail because I would not sign an unfair settlement. My own lawyer said I would go to jail. I said ok. I had to give $3,000 to this lawyer so I would not go to jail. I only WONDER what would have happened if I had not had my tax returns. He would ask a judge to send me to jail. He took the judges decision first and said I would go to jail. This is trickery. It caused the divorce to stretch out for another whole year. He wanted to do a lot of mean things and he did. The judge said I did not have to pay my husband's legal fees but yet he was able to garnish money from my bank account. Money that I needed to support myself. He did not care he wanted all the money he could squeeze out of me. Why not one of his more afluent clients. Does he have afluent clients? He is financialy driven and iif you cannot pay he is going to deny representation to clients if they lose the ability to pay when they need him most.

My divorce took 9 years to get concluded with no children and really no assets, not even a home. It was drug out and I even did a lot of my own copying to save fees and still ended up with a large bill. I asked about a uncontested divorce on grounds of abandonment since he went to federal prison and I had learned this was possible and claimed they knew nothing about it and would have to research it. They never checked on it and let it drag out years longer until the judge and his attorney was finally over it and granted it anyway. This was a marriage with severe mental and physical abuse involved that was even documented. It was unsafe for me to have to continue fighting him and she knew it. I needed a speedy out and safety and it was not found there.

3 years ago my husband was provided Aaron's contact information to assist us in a custody case. We paid the fee and he closedthe case. A few months later we had a additional issue with child support and paid him close to $5k to assist us, three years later and we are still waiting for the case to be closed. Aaron is the worst, bottom of the barrel lawyer we have ever come in contact with. He did nothing but appear in court three times for 15-20 minutes cash time and sat in one mediation and he thinks that is worth $5k. Every fee that came up; filing fee, copies fees, registering the order fee, etc. he had us pay. We had to contact the courts in another state to get a copy of the old order and have it sent to TN and follow up. We had to contact Maximus for assistance, all the things we paid him to do because year after year he has done nothing. By the grace of God my husband has since gain custody. We asked him to stop child support and he wants more money it is the same case, still open. Why are we required to give him more money on the same case he has not resolved. We went around him and got the custody order changed thinking it would be easier for the case to be closed if all he had to do was file to have the child support changed. We have other children that have been affected by the money we have paid him and the sacrafices our family took to have this resolved.
