I hired Thomas to help clear my name and get rights to my children. His rates are very reasonable. It's hard for a father to get rights / custody. I've had a lot of trials and tribulations throughout this case but he literally held me up! He is very professional. He explained everything very clearly step by step. When I needed him he was their and prepared. The case was very stressful but he made it as painless as possible. No matter how much stress this case was he never gave up on me. I have to say he really goes above and beyond. If he is ever unsure of anything (which is rare) he does his research and gets answers. I would very highly recommend hiring him. He will get the job done. He has pulled off alot of miracles. No matter how many questions I've had or how much I bugged him he never once got frustrated with me and he never once let me leave feeling unsure of anything. Two years ago, I had an accident where a person died, I didn't had insurance, and to add to that I didn't had a driver's license. I didn't know who to go for legal representation, but a client of mine (from work) recommended him to me and he certainly did his job well. Also, beyond doing his job well, I could see that he is empathetic and that is a virtue that not many lawyers have.

I hired Held Law Firm to help me attain a passport for my minor child that was unfortunately not covered in my original divorce agreement. Margaret and her team were wonderful. There were some issues at the hearing, (no fault of Held Law Firm), but Margaret went above and beyond for me. Held Law Firm was amazing in representing me in my divorce. Melanie handled my case and was very thorough in the details. I was very anxious and scared about the process, but she was very kind and helpful. She was always available to answer my questions no matter how small they were. She negotiated very well on my behalf of the custody plan with my child and on my behalf of the divorce settlement. While helping Ken with an insurance matter. I asked if I could pick his brain about a current custody case in which I was involved. He listened and gave me excellent advice. Although he could not represent me because I was in a different state, he took time to listen to my story and then go into detail about what I could expect and what to plan for, how the laws work, and how and what questions to ask when hiring an attorney, What impressed me more is when I would follow up with him about insurance he would also ask me how my case was going and again give me time and advice. I have dealt with attornies in the past, and I can tell you by how he treated me, someone who could not hire him. I know that he is willing to go the extra mile when hired. He is a rare find, a strong advocate, and a tremendous resource. I highly recommend working with Ken!!

I met Sheree during one of the most difficult times in my life. She was exactly what I needed and I cannot recommend her highly enough. My niece informed me of what happened in the office firm September 27,2024 and I was absolutely shocked and devastated that such behavior would come from a licensed attorney.
My niece is 27 years old, educated , articulate and understands ,comprehensively. She was trying to help on the behalf of my brother . Kortney Simmons did not lead by example per what was explained to me.
Definitely not a good representation of Casey & Simmons Law Firm . Threatening in tone , condescending to someone younger , cruel to someone with a disability and their ability to process information .

Very nice firm, however would not recommend Kourtney Simmons as a point of contact for an attorney. I experienced her as very quick tempered. Talks more than she listens and gets flustered easily during problem- solving - resolution tasks. I also don’t appreciate her openly discussing the matter in the lobby area of the firm instead of in her office when she got frustrated . Her voice began to rise first , and her facial expressions were flustered . Meaning, everyone in the office heard her and heard us . Not client confidential at all .
I believe if she could be more empathic in nature , and patient she could assist clients better with the needs of all parties involved , which could strengthen her reputation for the brand of this office .
Maybe it was due to her busy schedule so she wanted quick - cut - paid - deal when I finally got to see her, bringing my dad .
There was a misunderstanding - and instead of using critical thinking skills to full assess the root needs and even misunderstandings , she immediately jumped into defense , but not in the best way .
I have an elderly father with 2 strokes, I already communicated that to her , a little slow in understanding , and she tried to spin my questions of clarity into coercion .
Other than that, I believe the staff are quite friendly and are awesome at following up and scheduling .
I hope in the future Kourtney can treat all of her clients with disabilities and non disabilities , black or white , young or old the same care as it’s given in previous reviews .

If I were able to give Mike a 10/10 I would. He took on my case last minute, rearranging his own schedule to help me. He listened to me thoroughly and he took over from that point forward. This attorney knows the law. He is witty and firm and most importantly he supports and fights for his clients aggressively. He communicates effectively with his clients keeping them in the loop. He isnt hard to contact if you have questions or concerns which is a rarity. I would highly recommend Mike Hickman as an attorney that you can trust to take care of you! Look no where else!

Mrs. Bristol and her staff are excellent listeners. Our family has struggled with obtaining an appropriate and adequate placement in public education for several years, to no avail. Mrs. Bristol was immediately able to have testing done at the school level, took charge in changing the way certain IEP goals were measured, and has been exceptional/versed in supporting our child's rights in special education. This has been a first for our family in obtaining legal aid for our child, we never considered legal representation in the past but it is worth every penny and immense peace of mind.

Prepare for a long detailed review. They are worth it!!
During my long exstensive divorce...I found my circumstances were much more severe than expected. I reached out to a retired Knox Co. judge informing him my current dissatisfaction with the enigma of my case and previous attorney (NOT Luke) and the outcome of our future. The judge encouraged and edified Luke Shipley as the best and most qualified to get me the outcome that I needed for the protection and safety of my daughter and I. I hired Luke who at the time was with another law firm. I quickly noticed he was doing far more exstensive research, work, and digging then what was recorded on the law firms invoices. The complexity of my case was heart breaking and confusing. The paper trail alone was enough to cause high anxiety but not for Luke. Luke was fluid in his knowledge and expertise of the law able to stay ahead of the opponent. He brought in his powerful wife who was able to shed light on the criminal aspect of the case. I was beyond thankful when Luke and Megan began their own practice. By this time, Luke had already fixed the mess the previous attorney had made and began helping me undo all the emotional and mental control from my ex by shedding light on the truth and going to bat for me. He defended me, my daughter, and the law. Luke and Megan's code of ethics and financial practices are honest, hard working, and for the good of their clients. No one wants to go through the pain and loss of divorce...but when you do, it's GOOD to have attorneys who fight for you, listen to you, and understand you. Mr. Brinson helped me so much through my divorce. It was not something I ever thought I would go through, and Mr. Brinson was kind and understanding throughout the process. He answered my questions in a way that helped me understand some complicated things, but never made me feel dumb. I was also in contact with Mr. Brinson often because of my many questions and concerns, and he never got impatient with me. He always took the time to talk to me without seeming to rush. I am disabled and Alex Brinson was assigned to me for divorce on a 30 year marriage from a husband that was controlling and abusive. When Alex told me he was dropping me because couldn't get husband served (even though husband in military) I didn't know what to do so I tried to find him myself (with backup assistance of course). When Alex found out he was extremely rude and told me I didn't act like an abused spouse and was a stalker. I cannot believe how rude and unprofessional this attorney was to me. He has no idea what I have been through and how controlling my husband was. I just want a divorce!!! Alex has no clue about military divorces nor what all was required when filing paperwork with the court. Don't expect him to go above and beyond for you or be professional. I don't even know why he works through legal aide if he doesn't plan on providing appropriate services. With his limited knowledge on divorce and rude demeanor I would never recommend him to anyone!
