My experience/journey with Courtney Kelledes has been a pleasant and knowledgeable one. I contacted her for help with a years long ongoing situation which had been taken upon by other lawyers with no resolve. After explaining my situations and concerns she informed me that she would contact me after reviewing my info with her partners. I was contacted back shortly where she told me, while she could not make guarantees she and her partners did find merit in my cause, requests and ultimately my goal. From there Courtney laid out a precise step by step strategy with options for said steps. After that it was blast off as she went to work on my behave legally while thoroughly explaining steps, goals, expectations and timelines. She always kept an open ear to my concerns being that I had not had the best if not down right bad experience dealing with the various organizations in past attempts. Courtney always heard my voice and broke down said concerns with answers that I could understand as it applied to the law and my situation. She was always upfront as she pointed out the upside and possible downsides and always had a plan to address any and all possibilities. I appreciated Courtney’s patience with me as there were times due to the courts, law enforcement and past covid 19 fallout the results, while when realized were favorable, seemed to go beyond what would have been thought typical time wise which was frustrating but even then that’s when she showed her value and diligence as she never let department drag go without inquiry on my behalf. Courtney represented me and performed her duties as my lawyer as I always wanted from my initial attempts in the past but had not received from other lawyers before her. We ultimately achieved our goal with me gaining confidence that the legal system isn’t just one sided. Courtney Kelledes is a knowledgeable, down to earth, professional lawyer!

Robert was recommended to me by a friend, and my past experience with lawyers was not great, to say the least. I had always seen them (in injury circumstances) as someone who has the tools and vocabulary but essentially acts as a middle man that just takes most of what you are due. Not SO with Bob. After hiring, he was very upfront with me about the circumstances and scenarios that my motorcycle accident & claim would lead to, and he helped me every step of the way. By the grace of God, and his professional team we reached a result that was beyond satisfactory. He worked at a speed much faster than the state of California and was always one step ahead of everyone else. If you have need for a personal injury lawyer I can't recommend Bob enough. He's professional, timely, candid, and will work his hardest to make sure that you are fairly represented, and given your best chance when pitted against insurance companies and 3rd parties.

I have never engaged a lawyer for anything before, and was incredibly reluctant to do so. But on the advice of friends after several months of trying to get a resolution on my own proved frustrating and fruitless, I got in touch with Bob to help sort out medical bills from a bike/auto collision. Bob was thorough in his explanations, incredibly responsive and refreshingly realistic at every stage about possible outcomes. Thankfully, the situation was resolved in my favor - but even if it hadn't been, I would have been very pleased with Bob's professionalism and service.

I hired him for a difficult case and he has worked hard on the case. He keeps me updated, which is rarity with attorneys. He is highly energetic and wonderful at working the case that other attorneys lacked the knowledgeably to hit all the angles. (I did a lot of lawyer shopping for the right one.) Joel defended me in a defamation case which featured additional claims under the Illinois Right of Publicity Act, 765 ILCS 1075/1 and allegations of intentional infliction of emotional distress. He succeeded in getting the case dismissed, and won a ruling that the plaintiff committed which ruling was upheld on appeal.

Background: a life insurance company was holding up our lump sum payment because of some technicalities. Another lawyer thought that we may need to fight the insurance company in federal court, which would be expensive and time consuming. That's when we decided to meet with Elizabeth. I was referred to JKLF by Legalshield. I hired them to handle my divorce. Boyd Roberts along with his assistant Trudy went above and beyond my expectations. Trudy worked a lot of late hours drawing up paperwork and making sure everything was documented correctly. If she had a question she'd call me direct to verify. She's very respectful and a hard worker. Boyd is a no BS attorney but absolutely professional at the same time. He knows the law and uses it rather than getting angry and talking smack. We imposed sanctions 2 or 3 different times because my ex wife and her attorney were doing nothing to move it along. They weren't getting paperwork and documents to us that the judge ordered. We ended up settling outside of court, she agreed to a cash settlement and I kept my whole retirement account. Boyd and/or Trudy drew up the settlement agreement and still always promptly answered any questions i had. Boyd was always 2 steps ahead of her attorney thro the whole process even tho she filed the divorce. He was reasonable and fair, always knew what to expect and how to handle each situation. Thank you!

I made the biggest mistake of my life one night and was pretty sure that I had destroyed my career and my life. I called Rob on the recommendation of a friend and he immediately talked me off the ledge, showing care and compassion that an idiot like me did not deserve.. Once the proceedings started, Rob was as effective as could be imagined with regard to handling the case but more importantly he kept me fully informed about what was going on. He not only knows the law, he knows people and he knows how judges think. He framed my case to the court in such a way that I ended up getting supervision when I deserved much worse. In the end, Rob saved my butt with his great skill, I was truly lucky to hire him as my attorney.

I don't have the words to accurately describe my feelings about Harrison Law Offices. From the moment that I first reached out to them, I knew that I was in great hands. The office was always professional, responsive, and courteous. When I initially called to ask a couple of legal questions, I had no idea that my questions would turn into a case but when it did, I didn't hesitate to reach out to Jim, who advised and guided me through the entire process. I recall a few of the words that he told me that day. "I'm on the team," he said. Funny to say that throughout a six month ordeal, we only ever met face to face once because of the pandemic. I'm sure their normally challenging job was even more so because of the difficulties associated with the lockdowns and Covid-19 gathering rules. Every challenge was met and I am so pleased to report a positive result. I have no doubt that this would not have been possible without the efforts of Jim and his team and will be forever grateful. Jim demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of the law surrounding my case from day one and, where the legal precedent was lacking (as it was in my particular situation), he had the ability and knowhow to do the research to find applicable case law in other states and apply it to my situation. It was this effort, in my opinion, that led directly to a win for my side in defense of a post-employment restrictive covenant case against me. I could not recommend them more strongly and I don't offer that type of praise often. I would not hesitate to hire Jim again and would call him for just about any legal question that I can imagine.

Attorney Jim Harrison showed his intelligence, his commitment to helping us, and his understanding of the issues from day one, and I was also impressed with the his grasp of the practical implications of the situation and the limits on what was feasible. I felt as though he really listened when I spoke, and he seemed to know just the right questions to ask in order to get to the bottom of things. In my case, he was able to resolve the situation in our family's favor and for a reasonable fee. I would hire him again in a heartbeat if I needed a lawyer.

Jason represented me in a lengthy legal action where he had to represent me a few courts as we won each court battle. You messed up but relief is nearby. You want an expert who will also listen to you, explain the situation and your options and put you in the best situation for a positive outcome. Martin is your guy. After you hire him when you are going through waves of freaking out you can come to Avvo and re-read the 100+ positive comments (I've read them all for comfort 8 times by now) and know you've done all you can to help your situation. I put myself in a tough situation. I went out for a few drinks, nothing egregious but when I was leaving a parking lot I goosed it around a corner and squeeled my tires. I was pulled over and declined to talk the the officers about where I was that evening or participate in any sobriety tests. The prosecutors for DUI trials in Lake county are farmed out to a private firm and the state's firm sent their #1 top guy. Martin got us a Not Guilty on DUI and Reckless driving, and a modest fine and court supervision for squealing tires. Martin went head-to-head with the state's top dui prosecutor and left him noticeably pissed while we walked out with a huge W. You'll be comforted by his understanding of Lake county courts and procedures. He will listen to you. We worked together to craft a defense and no point anything that I thought important was left unconsidered. Even though my case hit a complication and dragged on a bit his flat rate fees were clear fair. Quite honestly they were about 75% of what I expected and was willing to pay for a proven winner. He's super busy but will always make time for you. Most importantly, he's a genuinely good guy. There's a reason for Martin's top rating. Do yourself a favor and pick the best. Get the free consult and make your own choice. It's hard to put a price in peace of mind. If you've read this, you've been informed.
