Early in the morning I get a phone call from my son and he’s panicked telling me he’s been involved in a shooting, for which he was eventually arrested and charge for 2nd degree murder. My wife and I immediately began searching for a criminal attorney and upon recommendation we phoned the law office of Hernandez & Hamilton. After a brief telephone conversation with Josh Hamilton we believed we had found the right attorney for our son. This would then begin what would become a 39 month long legal defense and eventual trial resulting in an acquittal. This being due to Josh Hamilton having relentlessly searched for and found every piece of evidence, securing expert testimony, and appealing twice to the Arizona Supreme Court. The staff are soooo friendly and personable ! We talked about life on the phone and laughed! Steve is soooo professional and will fight and serve and protect you and keep you in the loop EVERY step of the way. I literally called 20 lawyers and out of them all Steve was the most educated, young enough to still be hungry and knows how to be aggressive when needed and old enough to be well known in the community!! He’s well educated and sound and shines his clients in the best light possible by telling the judge and prosecutors who you truly are aside from the behavior that was displayed in reports the police seen or were told that they were seen! He’s respectful VERY professional and keeps you in the loop every step of the way. The staff does too! They call , they text and email promptly! Honestly they probably need to raise their prices because they are worth WAY more than what I paid which mind you … compared to the other 20 lawyers I spoke to was WAY affordable! And that too should tell you something also… I talked to 20 different lawyers in the area and out of them all Steven was the best! Young enough to go after it , old enough to be respected and well known in the community and wise enough to know better when to take a deal and when not to! I trust these guys. I was referred to Bellah law by my company.
I met my attorney (Shasta) and her assistant (Bryanda). Shasta and bryanda were really good at communicating and getting my questions and concerns answered.
I had a complicated case with tons of evidence hoping I was not going to overwhelm them. The team did a great job creating my evidentiary binder.
Shasta has plenty of experience and calm under pressure and had represented me through it all.
Accept the final trial had come up…. Bryanda by surprise was representing me , I was a little nervous since she just got her certification to do so but I trusted Shasta in her decision as well as bryanda with the knowledge I know she has from working with her. I needed an attorney and called Mr. Jamal Allen. I spoke directly to him and hired him after consultation. Mr Allen listened to my concerns and explained the legal ramifications of my case. I received a DUI first of this year and I was freaking out. It was my first offense, I was panicking and not in a good headspace. So I was stressed to say the least. After seeing what the officer was charging me with I realized I needed a lawyer I could trust that could help me through this messed up situation I got myself into. Unfortunately every criminal defense/DUI lawyer in the Flagstaff area wanted a ridiculous amount of money for my DUI case and were not confident in the outcome. Almost everyone wanted over five thousand to do the case, until I talked to Bryan. He was a realist and didn't promise me any guaranteed outcome, but he was calm and told me he would do everything in his power to help me out. In my time of stress and panic I needed a person like that to calm me down and let me know it was all under control. So I hired him for a reasonable fee and I couldn't have been happier with the outcome, not just because his fee was reasonable but he did an outstanding job for my case. I went from being charged with a felony DUI charge to being brought down to a misdemeanor impaired to slightest degree. If there were more stars available to give this office, they would be given as this law office saved my life. I was facing some pretty serious charges due to false allegations made against me by my ex-wife. I had never been in trouble with the law before and it was something that caused great strife in my life. His entire office was extremely supportive throughout the entire process and never made me feel like I was just another case; I was never treated like a criminal and my family and I received their full support. Everyone was extremely responsive to my needs and addressed any concerns or questions I had along the way. This case was heavily overcharged and due to negligence on behalf of my previous lawyer, the case was prolonged by several years. After firing my previous lawyer who did not have my best interest at heart, I hired a lawyer from this law office who, due to personal obligations, handed my case over to Joe. From the beginning, Joe St. Louis and Ryan Huffman ensured to gather evidence for my defense and kept me informed every step of the way what the game plan was. Unfortunately, there was much push back from the prosecution office when it came to negotiations and my case ended up going to trial. Joe is a master attorney and went into that court room more than prepared, even though the burden of proof fell on the State. I was acquitted of the major felonies and even when the State decided to pursue lesser charges in a second trial, Joe never wavered. In the end, the State negotiated with Joe and we ended up with a more than favorable result. I went from living my life full of anxiety and fear, not knowing if I would see my family again to being able to look forward to living a normal and full life once more.
