I speak from experience and I would have to say I was hesitant at first since this was the first time our family has dealt with this kind of situation. I came across him through an Attorney referral and lo and behold, I felt like God has answered our prayers. Matt guided us all through out the process, we submitted all the paperwork that is needed for our case and we decided to set aside all our doubts. You have to be willing to listen and control your emotions and trust that your case will be closed. My son was taken from his mother by DCFS I didn’t know this happened until 4 and half month after he was placed in a strangers house ! And this was the second DCFS case the first one I was the victim that didn’t press charges or show up to the case because my logic was I was the victim in that case so how do I need to show up ? Well I was very wrong and my rights to my son were limited to 1 supervised visit per year! So for 4 years I was basically paying her to see my kid and I was paying large sums of money to do so. When I showed up to court, the court provided me with so free but terrible lawyer I left court and was reaching out to her and her office with no response calling 4-5 times a day for over a week and that wasn’t gonna work! So I literally meet or had phone conversations with every attorney that deals with these type of cases and I only had a good feeling about Matt so I retained him he promised to get me full custody of my son and we came up with a solid game plan and instructed me every step of the way he was also was my therapist and a very patient friend because I too was in the system when I was a child so I was very hard to witness my child going through the same traumatic situation , Long story short Sole physical custody and the mom only gets a 4 hour visit per month this was my dream and it’s a reality now !!!

I regret ever hiring Soleymani Law Firm to represent me in my family law case. At the time, I was new to the legal system and trusted their promises that they would fight for me and my son. Unfortunately, their actions did not align with their words.
My initial consultation with Deborah Soleymani was full of assurances about how her firm would stand by me. However, once they took my $10,000 retainer, their level of service completely changed. The attorney assigned to my case, Emily Hetu, was unprofessional, lacked communication skills, and did not advocate for my son or me in any meaningful way. The worst part? She did not even show up for a crucial hearing. Instead, they sent a substitute attorney without any notice, leaving me completely unprepared and vulnerable in court. This attorney had no background on my case, did not defend me, and ultimately, because of their incompetence, I lost in court.
On top of their negligence, they managed to burn through my entire retainer in less than two months while doing minimal work. To make matters worse, they had the audacity to claim I still owed them money for a single hearing that cost me $10,000—an outrageous and unjustifiable fee for the lack of service provided.
This law firm lacks integrity, professionalism, and basic ethics. They do not fight for their clients; instead, they take advantage of people who are already in vulnerable legal situations. If you’re considering hiring them—DON’T. I wish I had read a review like this before wasting my time and money on them.
There are far better family law attorneys out there who actually care about their clients. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Soleymani Law Firm.

My initial impression of Kathleen was very positive—she came across as competent, driven, and solution-oriented. I spent months organizing and sourcing all my court paperwork at her request, which was the hard part of the process. However, once I completed this, the experience went downhill quickly.
Her 'team' began giving me the runaround. I reached out over six times to get an appointment, and they canceled multiple times. Despite this, I gave grace, trusting my first impression of Kathleen. After yet another cancellation, they said I would have to wait until the new year to be seen. I requested a date for 2025, booked months in advance, but the appointment came and went without any communication from her office.
I reached out to express my disappointment over the wasted months of effort on a sensitive case not to mention the $800 consult fee, urging Kathleen to do better. Her response was dismissive—claiming her staff said I had new representation (which is false) and that she is not taking 'new' clients. There was not even an apology for the months of wasted time, lack of communication, or the sheer number of follow-ups I had to initiate.
This was a deeply disappointing experience, marked by unprofessionalism and poor taste. I cannot recommend Kathleen based on my experience.

When I was arrested for getting a DUI, I didn't know what to do. Mr Kevin Mckesson comes highly recommended. You think that the law is here to protect and serve you until you have a run in with the police, then the whole "innocent until proven guilty" is thrown out of the window. Once you feel the cold cuffs around your wrist , you kind of just feel hopeless. It's not like they tell you how long you're going in for. It was my first run in with the law and my good buddy called Kevin. Kevin went to work right away reducing my bail amount, and getting me out of jail. Back in 2006 I was charged for, first degree murder, second degree murder, and voluntary manslaughter. Winston Mckesson was my attorney on this case. In 2009 my trial was in action. I had a 5 months trial do to these charges.
When the jury went in for deliberations of 5 days. They came back with a hung jury. It took 2 weeks for the DA to refile on my case. This time the DA brought up first degree murder and second degree murder. 3 years later in February 2012 trial was on the way. A 5 month trial again.
Winston Mckesson, shown the lies of the cops, DNA evidence showed that I was stabbed and that I took a life in self defense. But the DA was able to bring back mansaulter. So, yes I did have to serve time.
Winston Mckesson, closing arguments was outstanding. I truly feel that Winston Mckesson did a great job. If not the system po c the DA would have given me life.
Winston Mckesson, was also able to take a capital case off the table.
One thing we all must know, the DA ane cops, plus the DA's will do anything to get a conviction.
But Winston Mckesson, was able to prove lies and inconsistencies to the jury.
I recommend Winston Mckesson, too those who are facing the same situation.

I called upon Raza of Margolin and Lawrence when things looked very grim for me coming up on trial for a felony DUI. I was referred by a close friend who had hired them. Dan spent 19 months aggressively and strategically working on my behalf. I was charged with felony hit and run and he utilized every angle to gain leverage to our advantage. His diligence in my case got the DA to finally offer up a plea deal I was happy with. In the end my felony hit and run charge was reduced to a misdemeanor with small fine, 90 (45) days’ work release, and 3 years of summary probation. As a result, I was not only able to keep my security clearance, but also keep my job with a leading military defense contractor. In addition I have a very good possibility of getting the misdemeanor charge expunged from my record entirely after only 1 year of probation.
Dan's confident and professional demeanor was very influential on me and it helped me to relax and maintain my poise as we appeared in court for multiple hearings. George Roland is by far, the absolute best lawyer that I have ever dealt with! I was referred to him by my ex and he highly recommended him to me after I had another attorney, that by the way was the worst lawyer I had to assist me. During my case, my father passed away and he rapidly followed thru to get an advance for me, and I was able to pay for the burial!! I care about him like family!!
He has a firm attitude, yet he never behaved superior to me. He works very hard for his clients! He makes me feel as if I'm his only client, and he has many!!! He makes sure that I'm updated on any changes in my case,
And he has always been at court with me and gave me an synopsis on what could happen!!!
I work for a well known company and he never flinched to go after them to assist me and he has always been present for any deposition!

Paul had been the family lawyer for 10 years when i met carey . he was full of energy and very talkative . he seemed to always listen carefully to his dad Paul . i got into a domestic v case and Paul sent Carey to defend me . what i remember is Carey going to the bench and after about 30 seconds judge said 6 months summary probation and we left the court . this is what Paul used to do also .. i have not had the need for the last 25 years but i would go to carey again .

I was facing LIFE! My case was complex, lots of medical reports and neuropatholigy.
I was charged for murder even though the case was refutable through science and facts.
Sadat worked strategically in building my case. Acquiring 2 reputable neuropathologists for my defense, 2 private investigators, self defense expert, video expert, and toxicologist. Every single expert on our team was top notch, EXPERTS in their field and provided an extreme value for the case.
During cross examination Sadat drilled the Peoples doctors and detectives, practically embarrassing them. The audience laughed at how Sadat had every witness/expert/detective announce their own lies and mistakes. He was a master at his craft playing with children.

I’ve had quite a few attorneys in the past that came highly recommended from various sources some of which charged me more money then I care to even think about because at the end of the day once they got paid wouldn’t do anything for me and their only concern was getting me to take some kind of deal to end my case.
