I hired Alan after a recommendation from my old boss for a vandalism case in LA county due to me and my sisters ex boyfriend getting into a fight and me punching his glass-paned door window trying to hit him. I got a letter from the Van Nuys court house with the charges and gave that letter to Alan and he worked it out better then i planned by me just paying for the ex boyfriends insurance deductible and charges were dropped like they never even happened. Alan had my case handled quickly and very professionally. You might think hes intimidating but that works to his advantage in court but he is truely there for his clients hands down i should of never used another Attorney after using him big mistake. He is by far above and beyond the best Criminal defense attorney out there.

I had Alan Fenster as my hired attorney for my criminal case in Orange County. I had a case that was filed almost a year later and Alan didn’t forget and he would always contact me to remind me and he would let me know what would happen prior to my turn. I had multiple cases misdemeanors in different courts that he had gotten transferred to one court consolidating it with my felony case from a diff court. I was referred to him and I would not have changed my mind in my decision to appoint him as my attorney. He charges a flat rate once hearing your case details and once looking over the charges. He is sort of intimidating haha but he doesn’t deal with the little details in between and goes straight to the point with the evidence filed against me. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and honestly you can sense the professionalism as well as the comfortable and experienced demeanor he presents himself in court to feel a little relieved from the stressful and complications the case becomes. He is fully aware of what to expect and he is respected by others in the courtroom. He always considered my situation to prolong my case until after I gave birth And he kept the stressful headaches of the case feel like a load off my shoulders considering my case was filed months later. I love my decision with Alan Fenster and I would always go back to him if I ever need any other assistance IN any other criminal defense cases. thanks!

I came across Alan when he was recommended to me from a family friend. Alan is a great lawyer with many years of experience and notable cases. He's smart and understands the system very well and helped reduce my Felony DUI with injury case to a misdemeanor. He went out of his way to help me get in contact with people that would help my defense. Deborah was an absolute disaster to work with. She was busy on two trials and said as much and apologized when I told her that I could never get a hold of her and she never responded to calls. She charged me $14,000 for one month of horrible work product. She has line items like text message .75 hours. She said she was giving me a discounted rate which should’ve been a red flag but then just was merciless on that hourly. More importantly, when she was preparing my response, I would tell her the details, and she would write it up with blatant lies that I could never defend in court. I had to rewrite everything she did. I am in shock. As I was calling around to replace her numerous lawyers had things to say about her that I wish I knew before I hired her. Buyer beware.

This lawyer took on my case and was waiting for documents from the hospital and life insurance policy. Never communicated with me about anything. I called their office about 10-12 times and are always told I will get a call back that day. Well it’s been 3 months and not one of my calls have been returned.

The worst experience ever. I settled my civil case 5 months ago and still haven't got paid. It's so much bullshit with these guys idk how there still in business. I assume they just rob there clients. I'm about to file a formal complaint at this point. I had them for a criminal case before I got tricked into this civil case. They did literally nothing for the 10k I put up. So I demanded a receipt for everything they did on my case to justify 10k and when they couldn't itemize everything to that amount I ended up getting half my money back.

When I read the negative reviews I said no way, I was completely wrong!! Run away as fast as you can, incompetent does not describe these thieves. They want money before even speaking to you. If you ever heard an attorney joke it was written about this law firm, not sure you can even call them a law firm. If you read any of these reviews and still call them you have been warned. It can’t get worse. It’s sad that they are allowed to prey on people.

This "attorney" really does not deserve any stars at all. He doesn't care about what you have to say or provide, as an attorney that should be the first thing you do for your clients. He lacks motivation and has no pride in what he does to represent you. He's too old to fight. Not aggressive "attorney" at all whatsoever. He just cared about his money and doesn't even bother to keep you updated nor informed on what's going on. He's always late to every court hearing and waits the last minute to tell you when court is, and goes into court like he just crawled out of bed. This guy fell asleep during court on multiple occasions, and incriminated the case more than what it was. He talks really loud, with no filter. I honestly think he needs to be looked at VERY VERY closely by the state bar. He should NOT represent ANYONE AT ALL.

Mr Strauss is a top notch defense attorney. During trial my thoughts were "wow this man is like a seasoned prize fighter". He threw so many punches I lost count. His determination and preserverance awed me. The jury came back with a guilty verdict but new evidence was revealed and now the tables have turned and the judge is working with Mr Strauss to help set my ex husband free. I can tell you this with certainty that Mr. Srauss is a brawler and will fight to the end to set you free.

I hired Kelly Kilgore to represent me in court, he would never keep an appointment to see me always with an excuse or another and when I fired him, he kept 90% of the money for doing nothing, then I took him to arbitration and again he kept canceling and making excuses, now I am taking him to small claim court and reporting his fraud acts to the California Bar association.

Mr. Kilgore handled my sister's case. I love this Attorney because he showed so much love and compassion for his work as well as his clients. Many attorney's are in it for the money only and could really care less about the clients just as long as they win, but not Mr. Kilgore. He does this because he just love helping people. He is a real go getter and puts his all into what he do. And because I loved his work ethics so much I've even referred a close friend of the family to him and now he's handling her case. Thanks to Mr. Kilgore, my sister is Mary Thompson is out of prison after serving 17 years for which she was given 25 years but due to the fight in Mr. Kilgore and his determination and hard work, my sister is now free. She is the worst when it comes to handling anything, she misspelled our names and put wrong dates to the papers multiple times, the entire process took so long because of Angela's incompetence. She also ignores you and lost the original divorce decree and forgot to file it to the clerk for months. Total disaster

I hired Ms. Myle August/September 2020, I was going through a horrible divorce, DVRO, child custody cases. I have paid her around $11K, she is not good in court, she seemed more on my ex’s side than mine when we were at the hearings. She was going with whatever the opposing lawyer was saying, which is crazy. She is super sweet and more like a friend than a lawyer. She would get back to me either by text or email right away when I had questions or concerns. It was my first time ever having a lawyer so I didn’t know she was charging me hundreds of dollars when she would reply to my texts or emails. At the end of the day, I hired a different lawyer and ended up paying thousands of dollars to Ms. Myle for wasting my time and for being a follower of the opposing side than doing the right thing for me and my kids since I was paying her and not the opposing side.

Joseph fancies himself to be an effective lawyer, but in reality, he’s in it only to over charge and under deliver to his clients.
Joseph represented me and when I was offered a good settlement proposal, he never brought the proposal to me, he refused it, and then I ended up losing everything.
I am in the process of filing a complaint with the California State Bar as he violated my rights by never discussing the settlement offer with me.
He’s arrogant, just wants to get paid, and he literally pisses off the judges and other lawyers.
He’s a hack who shouldn’t be practicing law.
I’m sure others have had similar experiences, so if you have, please share your stories as well.

The Firm is only looking out for their own best interest $$$$. Complaining of the work they are being paid to do. Unable to meet deadlines, numerous errors, bad discovery, no depositions, late filing, missed deadlines. These failures ultimately were the firms need to withdraw from my case after three years and after receiving over $100,000 of my hard earned money. Their unexplained, inconsistent, excessive and unreasonable billing was the excuse used to abandon my case and place blame on their client for non-payment....yes after they already billed and were paid over $100,000....my money and time wasted. You are only $$ in their eyes. Don't make the same mistake I did....they will only succeed in making your situation worse, leaving you to pick up the pieces with no remorse!!
