Probably one of the best and most genuine lawyers I’ve met. She’s fair , she’s smart, she’s kind and she’s not messing around. UPDATE: After I received a notice from the courts that I had a warrant for failure of proof for something we resolved years ago, I once again reached out to My Rights Law Group. They immediately got to work trying to figure out what happened and why. They were able to get the matter resolved within a week, and now I am off probation! If you are scared and not sure what your next move is, definitely give this group a call. Even if your case seems hopeless or terrifying (as mine did), trust you will be in the right hands with these guys. Bobby also has been great about letting me know he is available should any other issues arise.
I feel very grateful to My Rights Law Group, specifically Arie, as they got my felony DUI case lessened to a misdemeanor. I was very scared and ashamed when all of this happened, and though there is no excuse on my end, I do feel super lucky to have found this firm. I did both a Google and Yelp search for DUI attorneys and their reviews spoke for themselves. They were always kind, quick to respond, and reassuring no matter my questions. I was terrified of jail time, and from the beginning they promised that wouldn’t happen. I'm incredibly glad and thankful that I chose Ann to be my lawyer. These are the reasons why she's a fantastic lawyer and why I highly recommend her:
1. I could tell she genuinely cares about her clients. She clearly presents everything you're legally facing, what you need to do on your end, and everything she plans to do on her end to win your case. When you need to contact her, she's a simple text or phone call away. When you have questions, she patiently and clearly explains everything to you.
2. She's professional and highly experienced. She's been there and done that. Consequently, she knows what she's doing and if your case is winnable, your chances of winning increase by hiring her as your lawyer.
3. She's very personable and nice. She has great relationships with many key contacts/prosecutors at the courthouses, meaning that it's highly probable that they're more willing to work with her to get your charges reduced/dismissed.
4. When she made one small mistake when communicating to me about my next monthly payment, she ended up reducing that month's fee by a few hundred dollars out of her professional courtesy. She didn't have to do that.
5. Finally, she got my charge reduced despite all the evidence against me. I plan to get the leftover charge on my record expunged once a year hits and hire her again to handle that.
All in all, I'm thankful to God for Ann - she did an absolutely incredible job getting my charge reduced. She was fantastic to work with. I highly recommend that you hire Ann Gottesman as your lawyer. You won't regret it!

I would give a 0 if possible, this is the worst law firm ever they will tell you anything you want to hear until you put the retainer , I was ignored until pay day by supervisors, attorneys, case managers, then the first 2 court dates had to be postponed because my attorney didn’t come they sent a fill in with his own law firm that didn’t know anything about my case so I had to get a extra court date months later when the date came my attorney shows up didn’t know me or anything about the case asked if I wanted another delay , remind a month I was told to pause payment because of lack of communication so the day of my court the lawyer said he didn’t know me but was told he can’t go inside because I owe a payment lol I already had paid over 2500 dollars & that was literally my first time speaking to him , I was ignored the whole time except when paying was due worst place ever & they still are trying to charge me more money

I am immensely grateful for the incredible work Laina did on my case. What started as a phone call to report a serious road rage incident turned into a nightmare, with the Napa police filing multiple felony charges over a defensive statement I made during the call. This situation should have never escalated the way it did. The police took my frustration—expressed after dealing with constant harassment from officers—and attempted to give me two strikes for it.
The road rage incident itself was frightening: a person got out of their vehicle during a fit of road rage and began approaching me aggressively, forcing me to drive away for my safety. During the call to dispatch, I vented about how the police had been harassing me. Though I regret my choice of words, the context of provocation should have been obvious.
After months of zero progress with a public defender who didn’t seem to know what he was doing, my family hired Laina. She came into the case late—near the end of my 14 months—but her expertise turned things around. Laina genuinely sympathizes with people of color and is acutely aware of the unjust nature of the legal system. She effectively navigated the complexities of my case, addressing the incompetence that had been present in my defense. Laina saw through the prosecution's exaggerated narrative and successfully reduced my multiple felony charges to just one (Penal Code 71 for threatening an officer). After I completed my mandatory supervision, she helped me get that charge expunged, clearing my record, which is now just as it was before all this happened. This was my first and only charge, and Laina's work allowed me to remove this unfair burden.
Since my release, I have completed my degree in biology from San Francisco State University, maintained a healthy lifestyle with daily exercise and a plant-based diet, and continued to receive counseling and support from professionals who highly recommend me. While I believe the harassment I faced from Napa officers should have been more effectively addressed by the justice system, I’m grateful for the justice I received with Laina’s help. Her expertise gave me a second chance to live my life freely without the impediment of a felony.

There is an extreme amount of trust, and a giant leap of faith one must take in hiring an attorney. Hiring a lawyer in family law matters of this nature entails tying some of the most painful and difficult decisions of your life to another humans' skill set, and trusting that they can and will properly represent you during a time when it's hard to trust anyone. It involves handing over deeply personal intimate details, sometimes through scraping together the funds to access their help. It's a big deal, and that's why I'm writing this review.
It's important to me to authentically share my experience as John Hosfords client in order to give prospective clients the insight to appreciate what a sound decision hiring this firm is.
