I was violently beaten while holding my child and left covered in bruises from head to toe in San Mateo county at 71 larkspur Ave in Daly City CA in 2015. Later that same year the same man who left me covered in bruises shot another man in Napa county and they sent me to prison for it while he got away as the victim. All,
I unequivocally recommend Cate Beekman as your next attorney. Specifically, if you need 5-star representation, go with Ms. Beekman post haste.
Why? Ms. Beekman is highly effective, brilliant, thoughtful, creative and most of all; she accomplishes the goal of zealous advocacy without insult, injury or raising her voice. She communicates as well to her client (me), as she does to judges. Furthermore, her working knowledge of legal standards and your issues – even if based on first impression - is first-class.
When? If you have a current attorney (fire them, I mean that with all sincerity), retain her and thank me later. Not all attorneys are created equally. If you are looking for an attorney, bring her on board immediately. I witnessed first hand, her ability to digest voluminous information – distill what was relevant and irrelevant and make cogent arguments. That goes double in a small area such as Napa, CA where the paucity of effective counsel leaves much to be desired. You have a diamond in the rough in Ms. Beekman.
She does not use superfluous words or enter anything into evidence to make the case for opposing counsel. She understands the burden of proof and uses it effectively and surgically.
Background? For context (what is it worth), I never write reviews. Everyone’s situation is different. I also put little opinion in the faith of others. However, Ms. Beekman’s representation was so beyond perfection, that I believe I owe it to everyone reading this, that you hire her immediately. What’s more, if it matters, I am an attorney myself, so I believe I know what good and bad lawyering looks like (or should like).
Ms. Beekman represented me in a matter (that in my opinion had no merit). She took the matter to its logical conclusion and prepared me and represented my interest before the tribunal very well.
First, her legal acumen is without peer. Opposing counsel, while over-matched, was a worthy adversary. Nevertheless, she objected when necessary. She also did not do anything to showboat or appease me for the sake of “getting even”. Additionally she made well-reasoned, articulated and ultimately effective arguments on my behalf.
Second, her demeanor is even keel. Her temperament is the same. She knows how to calm you down, while also laying the crumbs for the trier of fact to find in your favor.
To conclude, her sunny disposition is just who she is; a good-hearted person. However, do not let that disarm you, she is legally lethal when necessary. That said, if you need to win and “bet the case” (your tenuous position) – Ms. Beekman is who you should go with immediately.

I was very lost and had no idea where to go or find the necessary help. Mr Farzad was very responsive immediately, he offered me help and explained my possibilities when unfortunately I was full of fear and also did not know my rights in marriage and in the country, since I am also an immigrant and English is not my first language. When I explained my situation to Mr Seyfi he asked me what I did? I told him I was a recording artist. He asked if I had any music available? After he heard a few tracks on Apple Music he told me to get out there and continue to make good music. And not to worry about this case because he was going to make it go away! I highly recommend Mr. Hughes and his office to handle your legal needs or problems. I can speak to my case as an out-of-state non-CA CDL truck driver who received a traffic violation for hands free cell phone use by CHP 11-30-23. This type of violation is a major deal and driving offense with potential significant points on your commercial license and potential employment termination depending upon your trucking company-safety director .I found Mr. Hughes thru this website-Avvo.com and was glad I hired him. He is very transparent about his work process and legal fees. I paid a flat fee rather than hourly fee for his services. I think it would depend upon your type of legal case. However, a simpler traffic case like mine would require less legal research and work than more complicated cases that require hourly billing. Still, Mr. Hughes provided the utmost attention to my simpler traffic case that eventually was dismissed with no fines or more importantly traffic points on my NY CDL-commercial license driver record. I cannot thank him and his office enough for helping me fight and win my traffic case in Riverside County CA -Murrieta traffic court this past month-JAN 2025. The case had been extended out and postponed for over 1Yr-01-30-25 would have been 14mos from the CHP citation date/traffic tkt. Lastly, I applaud Mr. Hughes prompt contact with his clients. He uses a secure online portal-Clio software for clients ;so, you can securely E-Mail msg him with any questions during your case .He will then promptly reply to you. Also, he answers his calls and will return your call if you leave him msg. I once called him and he answered his cell phone despite being on vacation. You just normally do not see that level of client service and attention-to-detail with most other lawyers. In fact I had a personal family friend-lawyer in NY who handled my injury case when I was struck by a DUI driver 1997 before I had my NY CDL-A commercial license. He did not return calls or maintain client contact like Mr. Hughes did during my case. I think anyone looking for excellent representation, especially if you are an out-of-state or even CA commercial (CDL) or even non-commercial driver, you will be well served to handle your legal needs. Mr. Hughes has significant CA trial criminal and traffic courts experience. Thanks Mr. Hughes and team for winning my case!

Will Bruzzo is honest, reliable, responsible, savvy, confident, flexible, knowledgeable, reassuring, calm,
experienced, communicative, supportive, patient and well-connected. What set Will apart initially, was that he was the only attorney that responded to me virtually immediately after I submitted a contact form. He listened to me and didn’t judge my behavior nor actions. After becoming familiar with what
transpired, he developed a plan – a reasonable plan based on the circumstances and evidence. As the
process unfolded, at each decision point, he described the possible outcomes and then recommended that he believed was the best course of action - but always allowed me to make the final decision on
which way (when and how) to go. He was never patronizing and was careful to never over-promise. He always answered my texts, emails and phone calls in a timely manner. I never felt that he was “aloof,” avoiding me, too busy or difficult to reach. I never felt that he “didn’t care.” While I went through multiple emotional stages (anger, frustration, confusion, helplessness, impatience, uncertainty, etc.), he remained resolved that his plan would work. He never promised that his plan would be 100% successful, but he laid it out clearly and stuck to it. He knew most of the other players (judges, DAs and courtroom staff) and they knew him. Over time, he has become familiar with how specific judges decide on certain
issues. Some judges are more lenient in certain areas, while others are more strict. He combined this experiential knowledge with his patient and methodical manner to guide me to the best possible outcome. In the end, his plan worked – exactly how he said it would. He would probably be the first to
say that my case could have gone any number of other ways, but it was no accident that the plan he laid out came together just as we both had hoped.
Regarding money, it's hard to tell if Will's fees were appropriate or excessive, because I didn't have time to "shop around." Could I have "saved money" by hiring someone else? Maybe. But you never know if someone else will charge less upfront, but then nickel and dime you to death later on. Will had a fixed fee that I thought was pretty high, but looking back, his services (and his character) were worth every penny.
Will Bruzzo is a straight-shooter, does what he says, and is a man of his word. Tough to put a price tag on that.
