I am deeply disappointed with the service I received from Moran, Allen and Associates, specifically from Michael Allen. I sought their assistance during one of the most vulnerable and traumatic times in my life as a victim of domestic violence, only to be met with insensitivity, lack of preparation, and poor communication.
During a critical phone call, Michael began the conversation by dismissively stating, “I do not see abuse here, maybe just him being rude,” despite clear evidence of threats, physical harm, and audio recordings of my abuser threatening violence. This statement was not only disheartening but also invalidating. It was clear that my evidence was not reviewed beforehand, which left me feeling blindsided and unsupported.
Additionally, Michael requested that I rewrite important documents due to formatting issues and made comments about his communication style, admitting, “I’ve been told I don’t always say things the right way.” As a victim of domestic violence, I expected empathy and professionalism—qualities that were severely lacking.
To make matters worse, only days before my Temporary Protection Order (TPO) hearing, the firm informed me they had a conflict of interest and could no longer represent me. This is something that should have been identified at the outset, not at such a critical time. Their mishandling of my case added unnecessary stress and jeopardized my ability to feel protected.
I share this review to warn others who may be in similar vulnerable situations. Victims deserve lawyers who will advocate for them with care, respect, and competence. My experience with this firm did not meet those standards, and I hope they address these issues to better serve others in the future.

These lawyers are not for the faint of heart. If you are easily offended go somewhere else. However, they are straight shooters and tell you like it is. They don’t coddle you. On the flip side I probably wasn’t the easiest client lol! With that being said they didn’t lead me astray. I listened to their advice all the way through my divorce and child custody proceedings. They had great great advice on ways to get ahead of things. The only thing I think they could work in is communication. I felt out of the loop on things at times. Maybe that was because I’ve never had to do anything like this before and no clue what the process was and they’ve done this for so long that they assume clients have certain knowledge. In the end I got everything I wanted and a little extra. Thank you guys so much!

My experience was undeniably seamless!! They communicated every step of the way, even after the last day. They made sure nothing was left behind and I had no worries or pain after my accident. They help me understand things about insurance that I had no clue about and things that the big insurance company don’t and want tell you because they don’t want you to know as to what ALL you are entitled too. So hands down this is the best law firm in the state!!! I would literally trust this firm with anything!! Getting a divorce is hard...being divorced can be pretty great though (if you have a good lawyer!) That's where Emily at Ellison Law came in for me. I had an extremely contentious and drawn out divorce due to my ex not wanting to cooperate and be civil. In times where it felt like my entire life way in full chaos, Emily's sound advice, level minded strategies, and keen awareness of the divorce process was my only saving grace. While divorce is ultimately painful, sad, expensive, and life-changing for everyone involved, having a good lawyer to help you through it and to help plan for what your life looks like after divorce is so critical, especially if you are divorcing someone who wants to make the process as difficult as possible. Emily had my back at every turn, she fought hard for me in court, and was so thoroughly prepared that it truly saved my life, the life I have now, the stability my kids have now. The only law group that I have ever been fully satisfied with. Being innocent helped, but I definitely needed a superior lawyer who knew what they were doing, and I surely got that in Casey Kane. Casey connected me with a polygrapher and a forensics specialist, both of whom were of immense assistance in my case. Casey formerly worked on the prosecution side of the law, so his inside knowledge of the workings of the prosecutor's office is an invaluable asset. Casey is a straightforward, no-nonsense attorney who will tell you what you need to know, not what you want to hear.
Casey is easygoing and open to talking to as a client, but when it comes to court appearances, he wastes no time and will ensure your case is heard as soon as possible. Chris was also an outstanding attorney who was very friendly and easy to talk to. The office assistants were also outstanding. Aaron always made sure that I knew when I had a court date and what I needed to do. Maren and her staff were excellent support and advocates for my divorce case. She picked up in the middle of my case from a previous attorney and worked 150% for my children’s and my needs, even going into late night hours when needed. She was always available when I reached out and response time was quick for each inquiry I had. She made the awful process so much easier for me by being informative, available, and knowledgeable. I was injured in an auIto accident and felt ignored by the insurance of the other party. I looked for a local law group instead of large group. The personal touch I immediately felt cannot be emphasized enough. Coupled with the obvious professionalism made this difficult experience much less stressful and I could focus on my recovery.
I was in frequent contact via phone with my attorney and staff. Checked on weekly for my health and recovery. It was a complicated medical situation but they pushed through. In the End, My medical bills were covered, my therapy was covered and I received a total of $75,000 and the attorney fees were very fair and reasonable and upfront. I cannot thank them enough. I needed help with some answers. Already being represented by a Public Defender with a plea already under way I didn’t think some things were fair. Andrew explained everything to me with such professionalism, knowledge and extremely caring and honest. In the end Andrew told me that he couldn’t get me a better plea deal and told me to save my money and stay with the Public Defender. I was so impressed by his honesty. Other firms wanted me to pay up front thousands of dollars before they even talked to me. Thank God for honest people like Andrew. I will refer Andrew to anyone I know needing an excellent attorney. We hired Kimberly to recoup a loan from relative and due to underlying circumstances, we had to write a “gift letter” for that relative. Before doing that, we had a verbal arrangement with the relatives that they would repay the substantial loan when we needed it repaid. They failed to do so and notonly failed to do so, but were also manipulative and deceitful. We hired Kimberly to get our money. We were attempting to get our attorneys fees, interest on the money, as well as the money itself as we had taken the money we had lent them out on a HELOC and because they continued to be manipulative and deposited the amount they owed us in the beginning into our account without us knowing to avoid going to court, we were only able to get our initial loan back but we wouldn’t have even been able to regain that back without Kimberly’s help!!!!! Kimberly was very professional and empathetic to our situation that it was a relative and understood our situation.
