We so much appreciate the personal help and attention our son's lawyer, Chris Corkadel, gave to him and to us as parents. As out of state residents, all three of us needed help in dealing with our son's past traffic violation in Colorado, which prevented him from overcoming the suspension of his driver's license in any state. This in turn obviously blocked avenues of work and income during a time when the pandemic made it crucial to find jobs. Chris' experience with the courts in Colorado, his dedication, his friendly and warm listening skills, all worked together to result in a new driver's license for our son, and because of that, our son has a new lease on life. In the beginning it felt like this firm truly had my children's best interest at heart. My case played out for over 3 years. After "winning" at trial with further litigation to take place, I was struck with an uneasy feeling. I felt bullied into a settlement as the attorneys were fed up with my case. Many people had told me over the duration of my case that things weren't quite adding up and that my attorney did not seem to have our best interests at heart. I began to reflect on the case and all the inconsistencies, placating to the other side and capitulating to them as well. I then conferred with another attorney and ended up retaining her services to finish out my case. Upon the new attorney's review of my case, she stated this case was a mess, and she was flabbergasted at all the litigation that was allowed to take place. She mentioned there was a much more direct way to have gone about this case, less money and time wasted, not to mention my children's mental and emotional health. My worst feelings had been confirmed. It is a relief to finally have someone on my case who is truly for the children and not the money.

She never wrote a demand letter. Never did anything substantial, except wrote 2 emails. I had to tell her to cease and desist charging me. I had to bring this case to the bar association. She immediately called, yelling, you agreed to pay this amount. We negotiated, and she reduced it by a few hundred. I should've gone to the bar association and got her disbarred. When you are at your most vulnerable, you cannot trust these people.

My husband and I are still speechless to this day for what Colin did for my husband as well as me. The first lawyer my husband consulted gave him terrible advice, then we found Colin. Not long after the initial consultation my husband was arrested and I called Colin immediately to know what to do. He even had the patience to explain to me where I needed to go for my husbands bail hearing and how that process worked. This was a complex case from the start and Colin was there every step of the way. What started as sexual assault allegations after my husband told his ex wife he’d be filing for divorce, turned into an absolute nightmare that lasted months. Colin referred us to an amazing divorce attorney, and along the journey represented my husband to the end. Colin has extensive knowledge of criminal cases and this truly shows when he fights for you in the court room. We didn’t make things easy for Colin and his team either, along the journey my husband and I, who were struggling with addiction, represented us in Teller county for a new charge we each got as well as represented me in El Paso county for violating probation on a two year old dwai case. I know for a fact if we didn’t have Colin our lives would have been destroyed. He fought for me in El Paso and Teller county and I survived with no felonies. I don’t know how he did it, I was prepared for jail time due to a prior misdemeanor and current drug related charges. Colin spoke to the judge in El Paso county and fought for me, explaining how he had even been witness to me going through opiate withdrawals in his office. He stated the facts of the case, guided me on what steps to take, and spoke to the judge as if I was part of his family. He truly touched my life. My husband as well, the amount of work and time and dedication from Colin changed my husbands outlook on life. In a situation that looked extremely bad on paper, Colin took the time and patience to investigate everything and worked closely with the divorce lawyer to finally bring the case to an end when the prosecution filed for the sexual assault case against my husband to be dismissed for lack of evidence. When you’re in this situation that you never in a life time thought you’d be in, you think your life is over. ITS NOT. Colin is truly an angel, a miracle worker. He spoke daily with both of us, answered every question we had…. Even the insane ones lol… but he did it with care and love and dedication. My husband and I will forever be grateful to Colin and his team. This case was from 2019 I believe, and it took me a while to write the review, and I regret not writing it sooner so more people can be helped. When you think of the legal representation you need in a case, you think it’s not going to be affordable, but it was. With my husband being the only one working at the time, we were still able to fully retain Colin for all of our cases. Thank you Colin for changing our lives. Thank you for dedication your time and your team thank them as well! Mike and I are forever grateful! No matter how bad you think your case is, or how bad a situation you are in, talk to Colin or a member of his team. If he cannot assist you I promise he will refer you to someone equally dedicated and knowledgeable in the needed field! If I ever need a criminal defense lawyer again, I will call Colin. Luckily and by the grace of God we haven’t needed a criminal defense lawyer again and have been sober for 4 years.

The senior associate Katherine Karstetter allows her clients to violate laws and encourages them to file false government reports saying they have a right. Falsifying reports to the FBI, police, making calls to anyone who knows me and scouting USA is not okay trying to get me fired, and trying to stop my advocacy, training and support of disabled, low income, and children is not okay. Shame on you. Glad you defend people who have no defense. It is okay for your client to have my information my family's information our addresses, phone numbers, license plate numbers on sticky notes in her possession.You defend and believe pathological liers who report false felony accusations, who has a personality disorders when you know they are mentally ill. Shame on you.
Abusing and neglecting your child is not okay, and continuing to affect children's and others mental health, and physical health with inappropriate interactions is not okay. Your law firm should be about facts and the truth not defending blatant liers and allowing them to stalk and abuse people. But yes you are a shoulder to cry on that obviously does not have the mental capacity or morals to distinguish right from wrong. Shame on you....

I would give zero stars if I could. I was supposed to be served with court papers and he emailed me an attachment with an unfinished report without the case number and no court room. It said if you can not make it to court you can attend through WebEx. He sent me to the wrong court room on the wrong county. I still have not been served papers probably. They will not return my calls or texts.

My experience with Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor has been beyond great. They dug into the issues of my case and discovered things in my favor that go far beyond what other defendants in the same case appear to have missed or not seriously considered. My opinions of Jim Helfrich and Kate Sender go beyond my ability to express. The best I can say is that I trust them to do their absolute best, which I believe they have done. No bullshit.
They haven’t always told me what I want to hear, but they have always considered my opinion and that has been reflected in the things they have produced on my behalf. My case is not over, but they believe in me and have taken my side with the best they have to offer. Their rates are fair, and I have never had the feeling they were fabricating hours as so many law firms do, especially the law firm that is attacking me. I suspect I will have more to add to this review in the future.

I hired Miles to represent me in a traffic case in which I was unable to attend the court date. In the end, he got me the best possible outcome regarding the tickets, however, the process leading up to the court date was a little shaky. It was often difficult to reach him and I felt as though I had to keep an eye on the process. He would not ask for paperwork from me, instead, I periodically had to check in with him to ensure he had everything he needed from me. Finally, on the court day, he called looking for more files. I would have expected them to check and make sure they had everything before the court date.
But like I said, in the end, everything worked out so I can't complain.

I contacted Mr. Cabral immediately after getting my ticket. The ticket said it was a misdemeanor traffic violation and I didn't want a chance to go to jail or the stress of having to deal with this on my own. Mr. Cabral worked on my case right from the beginning and kept in contact with me with each step. The ticket was written incorrectly so no one was going to take responsibility at the clerks office to determine which way to interpret the ticket. Mr. Cabral must have visited my case at least 5 times or more before meeting me. He was very professional and approachable. The $500 I paid was well worth the trauma and stress I didn't have to go through.

Lee is a terrible lawyer, never answered calls or met dead lines. I found out his law license was suspended for illegal narcotics dealing and cultivation. This was hard to read to say the least. He is a careless individual who will do anything to get more money. He used to be a “ambulance chaser” just took accident cases when it was convenient and money was in it for him, now he is exploiting the patio community and taking their hard earned money. I suggest you stay far far away from this attorney and person.

Hired this attorney for a case. She did prepare well for it, and returned my calls/emails, not always promptly, but at a decent speed. Was knowledgeable in court, seemed to try angles, but was unprepared for some of the DAs tactics, nor aware she was going to be going against this DA vs some lower level person. Again, tried hard in court, did lose the case, but that was not the only concern. My family and I paid a lot for this attorney, and after the case, she would no longer respond to any inquiries regarding a driver's license or post court process. I sent multiple emails, texts, and left voicemails, all just asking for a hand, but never heard back. None were in an upset tone, or anything stating annoyance etc, just wanted to see what to do next. I waited a long period before writing this, hoping she was just busy and would get back to me, but this never happened. I understand the case was over, just as a human, seems that one could take a short period of time in her expertise to answer a few questions.

I would not recommend this law firm. Mr. Driskell worked on my sons case. He never returns phone calls and e-mail. His prices are outrages. We’re thinking he cheated us on our settlement. I’ve ask for the file and to this day I have not gotten anything!!!

Do not hire Patrick Fitzgerald. This has by far been the worst experience I have ever had. Mr Fitzgerald will make deals with the DA that you did not approve of and use your case against you to make you feel like less of a human being. He will criticize, curse and hang up on you if you question what he is doing and why he is making deals without your consent. Absolutely horrible!!

Most times when you hire a defense attorney, chances are it is not for a pleasant situation. What made it a lot more enjoyable was the professionalism of this law firm! Every single staff member that I met was extremely professional and friendly.
I had the pleasure working with them for approximately one year. Anytime I emailed or called, they responded in a timely manner. They explained the whole process and answered all my questions. They are extremely knowledgeable and amazing at what they do!
I can not thank Max, Marianne and Hailey enough for all their hardwork and dedication!!!

I hope for the future Google Reviews can provide an option of (—) Negative starts in the mean time I’m gonna rate this little mediocre house “business” a — 9. I schedule an appointment with a month of anticipation for March 18th on the first place, mind you I create this appointment around February if not sooner around last weeks of January. I call to confirm on March 15th to my surprise a lady answers and says “we hope you called us back, we are gonna have to reschedule due the person in charge of your case is out for an audience” My initial thought was, there’s no one else that can take my case? There’s just one lawyer? Didn’t thought that much of it, they rescheduled me for today April 8th at 4pm. I call today in the early morning to confirm my appointment before I do so I found a v-m in my phone form some lady saying “please call us back as soon as you hear this” so I do, for my surprised the First Lady that answers doesn’t have any idea of how to help me, they transferred me with another person and this one tells me we are gonna have to reschedule the reschedule ONCE AGAIN! Due the lawyer taking your case is out sick.” I am beyond upset at this point, this is the second time they rescheduled me! I told the lady the that was unacceptable, she give me the option to come tomorrow and the I told her that I couldn’t be missing work, I already asked for the evening off so to please let me keep the same time and to find me another lawyer that could take care of my case. This lady proceeds to tell me “yes, let me see what I can do and I would give you a callback.” This happens at 10:23am for the rest of the day I never received a call, email, text, message , fire sign or anything from this person. So, if you are desperate, have limited funds and need assistance ASAP please AVOID THIS little piece of trash !! They would waste your time, resources, money, gas and words. Spend the extra fees in someone that actually follows direction, mean what they say and has genuine word, not this little circus. Do better , y’all playing with peoples lives and time. Shame on you and your ancestors!!!!

I had a personal injury case pressing the statute of limitations of 2 years from a car wash accident. I called this law firm got a hold of Trent in September 2023 with a February deadline he literally and his staff got going on this case ASAP. His staff and Trent found who the insurance carrier was from Car wash fast and talked

My experience with Allen Vellone Wolf Helfrich & Factor has been beyond great. They dug into the issues of my case and discovered things in my favor that go far beyond what other defendants in the same case appear to have missed or not seriously considered. My opinions of Jim Helfrich and Kate Sender go beyond my ability to express. The best I can say is that I trust them to do their absolute best, which I believe they have done. No bullshit.
They haven’t always told me what I want to hear, but they have always considered my opinion and that has been reflected in the things they have produced on my behalf. My case is not over, but they believe in me and have taken my side with the best they have to offer. Their rates are fair, and I have never had the feeling they were fabricating hours as so many law firms do, especially the law firm that is attacking me. Michael Root failed to provide me with adequate representation in a Retaliation Against a Judge case. The witness (alleged victim Judge) had provably lied on the witness stand, and Mr. Root, more concerned about preserving his career than seeking justice, threw me under the bus: the official Court transcript vs. the actual evidence on the record of the Court proves this. Not recommended.
