My case was during the holidays and after we signed everything the office went silent. I had to email to check status and then they would move the case. I wasn't even informed on when my divorce was finalized, I found it on public records. Although I am knowledgeable and know it was my mistake for not reading the terms, I hope this helps someone to ask about refundable retainer fees. My divorce billable hours were about 2,500. My retainer fee was 5,500 so the office made an easy $2,900.00. Hope this review helps someone in the future!

I met Mr. Bruno back in February when I was arrested for a Domestic Violence, I called Mr Bruno and explained my situation. That same they he asked me to come by the office. I went to his office and he met me right away. We spent over an hour talking and unlike other attorneys, he was not worry about the time. Fast forward, Mr Bruno not only did he cleared me of all criminal charges, he also cleared me of a civil charge. I was blessed to have met Mr Bruno. I can sincerely say that Mr Bruno is the attorney you want representing you in court. One last thing, you can text him even on the weekends and he will always reply back to you. Andrew and Theodore were extremely professional and transparent with me throughout my whole case. My case lasted approximately 5 months and they were by my side throughout the whole period. Weekends, holidays, after hours they were always a email/phone call away.

Mitch Polay really delivers, I had a recent gun case in which the Judge had increased my bond from 1k to 85k and 24 hour lockdown at home, I was unable to work, go to the store nothing. Mitch was able to get me off the ankle monitor completely even got them to allow me to travel freely in and out the country on 4 felonies. Everything he said to me was always factual, he really was a man of his word. The D.A. Had mentioned I scored out to a mandatory prison sentence of 2 yrs minimum. Mitch worked tirelessly and around the clock staying in touch with me every step of the way. I still dont know how he did it but all my charges were reduced to misdemeanors and I was let off with one year probation, he assured and reassured me several times he would do what’s best for me and he absolutely overdelivered. Through the years he became not my lawyer that I hired But a great friend and mentor in many aspects of my life. He is a well respected and a true professional. I hope to never have to hire an attorney or ever get into any bad situations in my life ever again but if you have ever see yourself in cuffs and you need a real lawyer, don’t say anything other than I want To speak to my lawyer Mitch Polay and know that you will have someone in your corner who will not go down without a fight and will be there to the end alongside you. One of the worse attorney you can get. You don't want to risk your DUI case with this guy. He will take your money and disappear on you. Won't give you any legal advice, nor would he show up for your case especially if you are outside Miami area. He will send his network attorney that have no clue about your case. You might as well request a public defender and you maybe better off.

I hired Mr. Braxton for a DUI in Lee County, FL. He was very polite, always answered or returned phone calls, and was willing to do whatever was in my best interest. We ultimately decided to go to trial, and the state dismissed the case in its entirety.

Hired Michael Braxton for 2 DUI charges both within just under 5 years. First charge failed road sobriety test but refused breathalyzer. DUI charge reduced to Reckless Driving (important in cases where 2nd charge could possibly happen within five years). 2nd DUI charge failed road sobriety and breathalyzer. Case was dismissed due to false arrest. In addition I never lost my driving priviledges. Great job and would hire again, but hopefully that won't be necessary again.

Mr. Canet is a lifesaver & the best attorney I could have ever asked for. The state wanted 8.5 years in prison and would not back down. My first attorney (NOT Canet) told me to take the 8.5 year plea bc my case was a clear win for the state and trial would be suicide. Within a month of hiring Mr Canet, he discovered missing evidence, contradicting testimonies AND internal investigation reports discrediting a key witness in my case. Once he started filing motions, he had the state so scared they put their best attorney on my case. At my first hearing, he had the state trembling & had the tenured officer on my case stuttering and fumbling his words. He made both of these experienced professionals look like unqualified rookies. Even the judge called the officers testimony “baffling” & pulled Mr. Canet to the side and said “you are a great attorney Mr. Canet.” He is aggressive and without a doubt the most knowledgeable in any courtroom. He is honest, fierce and a force to be reckoned with in the courtroom. Needless to say I am a free man today, Thanks to Mr. Canet. If you want a second chance at life, look no further, just pick up the phone, call him & Mr. Canet will go to war for you.

I decided to use Carlos's after speaking with several attorneys after receiving another DUI charge with very special circumstances and a blood draw with serious consequences and several grey areas. Carlos was not the cheapest and made no promises but that is why I choose him. He was extremely knowledgeable of the law and very professional and always available. I couldn't have been more happy with my choice and can assure he was worth every penny. He kept me out of jail and continues to help me with my needs after the case has been settled. Other attorneys will promise the world and then leave you hanging. I've never recommended or reviewed an attorney ever but I thought it was the absolute least I could do.
