I will leave this review to those that want the honest truth and unfortunately, I need to leave this review vague enough so that her office doesn’t try and discredit my comments (I would challenge you to look at her responses to other negative reviews…some are obviously warranted) I don’t play.
Several years ago, I was going through the most challenging time of my young adult life. I had made some mistakes years prior and unfortunately found myself in a predicament, which lead me to an admission of guilt to my misdemeanor charge…per my council (Ms. Frye directly) I accepted a deal that was inaccurately presented to me in court. While dealing with the aftermath of my case, it was brought to my attention that Ms. Frye had given me an inaccurate and false narrative of my obligations to the court. I can’t go into extreme detail, but I can tell you, I have more than enough evidence of malpractice. I do not and will not take this lightly. As a working class medical professional, anyone that wants to partner with Ms. Frye I would recommend you head my warning.
I have a case worker overlooking my complaint to the Georgia board. As a criminal defense attorney, Ms. Frye does not want these facts to become public, but unfortunately this is the direction she would like to move forward with. She is unwilling to admit to the mistakes she made to the court (and myself), which the court has graciously provided me and my current attorneys (several years later, after the incident) with enough proof and evidence of said malpractice.
There are so many attorneys out there. This one will overcharge you and make it feel normal…and in my case, give you the worst outcome possible (with sprinkles of nasty, disrespectful and condescending attitude) while verbally giving you the wrong outcome of your case after the trial. I can’t make this up. I know I sound like someone recently hurt by the outcome of my case…that is incorrect. I advise any and everyone to challenge any potential attorney that you might be interested in to ask adequate questions and understand the realm of possibilities regarding your case. This was one of the worst mistakes I’ve made in my entire life, and I have really been struggling with it for years. I would not recommend Ms. Frye to my worst enemy.

Rhonda was hired to handle my father's case, but unfortunately, she has been incredibly unhelpful. She became dismissive and irritated with him, eventually requesting a psychological evaluation. She was late for my mediation. Took my money and didn’t finish my divorce. Was not in favor of fighting for what was owed to me during my divorce. Very unprofessional and lazy, kept my $2500 retainer and did absolutely nothing for me. I hired another lawyer who completed my divorce. She’s horrible! Do not hire her.

I repeat do not hire this woman she’s a CROOK!!!! She will take your money and do absolutely nothing for your case. She is lazy all she’s worried about is payments. She done absolutely nothing for my son’s case all she did was gather evidence from the DA she has no clue of what she’s doing. She needs to be reported to the bar association. All she had to do was get a video and she couldn’t even do that. She will not have your back and gets an attitude when you call her or ask questions. I never hated someone more than I hate this lady she’s a con artist. Do not give her your money.

I recently settled my case with this law firm…and let’s just say I will NEVER use them again for ANYTHING . I was dissatisfied with the services and disgusted with the amount I’ve received for my car accident.. it was ridiculous how I had to constantly call in and upon doing so it was times new people were brought on to my case, and I would have to explain from start. They don’t care! And they received far more money than me as a client in the end… I wish my case was NEVER handed to them by Great Trial which is another company I would NEVER trust to do any other case for me… you are better off going to well known attorneys than this small new inexperienced office. Never again!

Matt doesn't come across like most lawyers I have met. From the beginning of my legal needs, he takes his time with the details and really gets to know every aspect of a case. He asks questions clearly so he understands and it's almost like he puts himself in your own shoes. He is very much a straight shooter, which I appreciate. Hogan and Stoye helped us with our Will and Trust paperwork and were very quick to respond, professional in correspondence and in person, and were very understanding and patient when it took me a while to gather the information they needed. Not to mention so kind and patient when we brought our babies into the office to complete the final paperwork. They broke everything down for us so that it was easy to understand and answered every question we had. They were great!

My wife and I hired Jud in the fall of 2013 after we were sued for a sellers disclosure disagreement on our house. Lisa Owen was my third attorney. What I thought was going to be an easy case, rapidly escalated to one of the worst experiences I have ever been through. A divorce. If everything is smooth and no issues at all, maybe any attorney will do. When things get nasty and everything is at stake, you want to be sure you have the right team behind you. I had to changed attorneys twice because I found out as things progressed, the case was beyond the level of competance for the current attorney. One of the attorneys had to withdraw from the case because she admitted it was beyond her abilities and experience. I wish I had saved all the wasted money and time with the first two.
All I wanted, was to know, that when we went to the mat "court", the team and person fighting for me, that I had total trust and faith in them. No matter the results, I wanted to know, they were the best. Lisa Owen was professional, 100% on her game, her team behind her including Natasha, Sarah, and several others, were always pushing and driving forward. Lisa actually scared me she is so good. Sharp, articulate, fast thinker, great debator, driven, witty, a total bad as#. She is a true bull dawg and exactly what you want if the case is something that truly matters. Lisa called me on her family vacation, pushed me non stop, she thought about things I never would have, I was in awe of her and her team the whole way through. She ran the show....She directed everything. she was in charge....and that is exactly what I wanted.
Yes, I paid a lot of money to hire someone of her caliber, but, I would have saved so much money if I have contacted her first. I am so thankful to my friend that I called who works in the legal system and asked for help and who was the best? I wish I had called her at the very beginning. She said, without a doubt, you call Lisa Owen.

My divorce was the worst event of my adult life. Far worse than I could have ever imagined. The emotional drain, the physical exhaution, the fear of what may happen. I am a Marietta native. I am a 25 year veteran in the mortgage industry, and unfortunately I help clients every month go through a divorce. There is usually a home and a mortgage to deal with. You want the best helping navigate these steps. I typically help one of them move out and buy a home, and the other, I help to refinance the mortgage into their name. It is a very structured and a very emotional process.
I never thought I would personally go through it myself. I now feel like I have a Ph'D in the mortgage/divorce space. I was going through this to settle my case, but also to learn as much as I could as to the logistics of all that can take place on the legal side. I was an apprentice watching one of the best in the industry, and paying very close attention, because I was the case being tried.

If you’re a first time offender, I wouldn’t recommend Melvin Nash. I used him between 2020 and 2021. If I had gone with my gut, I’d of saved a lot of money. I was a first time offender and he did for me what a court appointed lawyer could have done for a few hundred bucks, for $5000. I only ended up paying $4500. Whenever he spoke to me he would say to stay off of dope (marijuana), because of failed tests, but I was pregnant and no longer smoking. I passed the test for the court house so I’m not sure why I kept failing the tests at the place he sent me to. He was just rude honestly. His assistant handled majority of the work while he rarely spoke with me. This is obviously just my experience and doesn’t mean another would have the same, but I just thought I should share.

He's pretty low maintenance, but that's because he understands the process. 3 or 4 quick emails following our first and only intro call and he was able to do exactly what he said he would do. Mr. Treadaway is slow, disorganized and lacking in attention to details. I hired Mr. Treadaway to assist in a divorce proceeding. He asked twice for monies which I paid. There was no verbal or written contract outlining how or when monies would be paid or any accounting of those funds. I was under the assumption that if further $ was required it would be brought up at that point. 5 months later after the divorce I received an invoice for a rather significant sum of money. Further review showed the invoice to have a $1000 "error". I contacted Mr. Treadaway by email regarding the invoice and was afforded NO response. 5 months later her turned my invoice over for collections to another attorney and demanded interest that was never disclosed.

Steve cook is not only a great attorney but a even better friend! Steve and I have known one another for over 25 years and in that time I have had a few legal problems concerning traffic violations which he promptly took care of for me of no charge also more recently I had three warrants for my arrest and was picked up and caught 3 felony drug charges I had my girlfriend call Steve on the 18th day in jail and he immediately got up there to see me. he told me that I was a good friend and that he was going to squash my probation and he was going to get my misdemeanor charge thrown out. and then the three felonies he was going to get reduced to misdemeanors in time served he was able to get probation which i was In violation of terminated. Then he was able to get the misdemeanor
I had been charged with for giving a false name to law enforcement thrown out of court. and on the three felonies I got an even better deal I got probation and the felony charges will be expunged from my record upon completing a simple probation no fines no community service just report and stay off drugs and Steve did all of this for the amount of $400 he worked diligently every thing was handled fast and had me out of jail in less than 30 days considering all that I had pending against me legally that was absolutely amazing and he worked very fast to get me in front of the judge I cannot say enough about Steve he's a great man with a wonderful attitude he wants to help people that's his mission in life so if you need good representation and you're in a legal bind facing criminal charges I would absolutely beyond a shadow of a doubt only recommend Steve Cook! you can take your chances with another attorney it's going to cost you more and the outcome will be uncertain Steve will let you know up front what the most likely probability is going to be he has good foresight when it comes to what the potential legal outcome will be that's what makes him one of the best attorneys around he's very affordable he's very fair he's not a crook he answers his own phone when his secretary is not in the office. he stays in touch with his clients he's very easy to reach and that in itself gives great comfort many attorneys once you give money you can't get in touch with them until you see them in court but Steve is not that way he will absolutely return your calls he will have his secretary give you information if he's not in and if you need a call back from him no worries he'll be in touch.

I had a shoplifting case that was completely accidental on my part. I was really nervous because I've never even received a traffic citation or ticket in my life.

've thought about NOT writing this review several times, but the crazy, pathetic & bizarre actions of Mrs Alterman really needs to be known.
I'll just list them
1. Cursed me out once for calling in what she thought was 8pm but was 3pm not sure what the deal was but very bizarre.
2. Missed filing for hardship license which resulted in not getting one.
3. Missed court on three occasions two resulted in bench warrants put out for my arrest.
3. Failed to show for jury trail, which caused myself to not be there ither.
4. Scolded me in court and told me to mind my own business let her handle this when I had a couple questions.
5. Never seemed to remember anything
6. Always accused me of my guilt & never once seemed on my side.
7. Suggested that I send the arresting officer donuts, I kid you not that was so bizarre

I hired Cathy for my husband's criminal case in May 2012 (after having dealt with another attorney who was not helping us at all!) and I could not be happier with her results! She then went on to help him with his immigration case in Atlanta where he was allowed to stay in the country and is now a few months away from getting his green card!! Skelton and Blackstone Attorneys helped my wife and me prepare our wills and advance directives. They carefully took us through all of the various decisions and helped us understand the ramifications of each. We left the office with complete documents which Skelton and Blackstone filed with the appropriate authorities. Has been booted off Hyatt Legal Services due to client complaints. Did NOTHING in my case resulting in default judgment and garnishment. Never returned a call. Opposing counsel and the court didn't even know I had a lawyer. Case could have been dismissed had he done ANYTHING. Blamed everything on his "paralegals." I only rated him a 1 because there was no zero.

I had a shoplifting charge and ended up moving to a different state and hired him to handle it back in Georgia. His prices are definitely reasonable, biggest downside was that he failed to show up to court for me and I had to find that out through the court and hurry up to get it resolved. My mother also had to get involved because he tried to deny that he was paid even though the evidence was in the emails. Overall, I guess you get what you pay for.

I had this lawyer as a public defender on a very serious case n which a female lied on me bc I welding give her drugs. No evidence and she didn't even appear in court but he had me plead guilty to the third count bc I didn't know any better. No to this case I'm trying to fight this charge from 1993 bc it still haunts. I was incarcerated on another charge at the time and was doing time so I did not know that the girl did not show up for trial until after I got a visit from my family and they asked me y did I plead guilty. He never did any investigating nor did he try to help me n any way. I only seen him at the time of court. I wish I knew then what I know now. I have so much anger n me for this bc it has ruined my life bc of the nature of the charge. Ten years ago if I would've found him and it wouldn't have been a pretty site bc I would b n jail for life. I'm a changed man now bc of my kids but I still think he owes me sum help by trying to get me back in appeallant court.

My ex took my Son to Illinois on an order written by a Commissioner in Bakersfield. She wanted a $50 consult fee. I paid $25 in cash, and wrote a check for the other $25. After getting paid and putting out her cigarette, she told me, "I can't help you, take it up in Illinois." That was twenty years ago, without a visitation order, I HAVEN'T SEEN HIM SINCE. Cynthia yelled at me while explaining a visitation order. I could not for the life of me understand the judges order and during a phone call she yelled at me while explaining it. She l apologized after - said she had a long day, but the experience rubbed me the wrong way. Her staff was great and always gave our family updated through email and phone calls.

Considering hiring this attorney , but her prices are doubled compared to a few other local offices…so do some research beforehand. Her personality was great and I found some helpfulness in the advice I was given. After my consult I spoke with a friend who hired her as her attorney to gain insight on what it’ll be like working with her. she said lots things would always pop up because of personal events happening in Cynthias life. Which caused delay with her case. She also mentioned her office manager just wasn’t the best to work with and always made her feel stupid for asking about her case or having any questions at all. She ended up hiring someone different.. I will mention.. I didn’t like how her office manager spoke with me when I scheduled my consult either. So extremely rude with snide comments. When I called back to see how I could pay, I was greeted with a different office staff who seemed more polite and helpful to my concerns for payment! I spoke with this lady for about 10 minutes. If I remember correctly her name was Marlene! If you call this attorneys office just make sure to speak with her! Extremely helpful!! Thought I’d leave a more recent review since I struggled to find one. Still debating hiring Cynthia. Will leave an updated review when I have decided.

After researching companies that were successful in cases against HOA's I hired this firm 5 years ago. I asked if they could win and was told yes. February 2023 we had to agree to a settlement. In that 5 years we changed lawyers 5 times. I would call to find out what was happening and was always told that they were waiting on the HOA attorney and that's just the way this worked. I ended up paying this attorney more than if I had just paid the HOA fine. There is no real update from them, unless you call their monthly bill an update. The last attorney assigned did manage to get a settlement worked out. We took it because I was not going to drag this out another 5 years and 5 different attorneys.

This is a poor start. After speaking with the staff and an attorney with the John Miller and Associates Law Firm...
I paid the non-refundable fee, agreed to the initial date and time set by the staff and called 1 hour before the appointed time to confirm the appointment.
After the appointed time and 15 min before the close of business, I called the office and was informed that the attorney was not going to make the meeting.
Summary: the attorney did not display the expected professionalism and courtesy to take the time to call to me, and provide an apology and reschedule the meeting.
This is definitely a teachable moment for John Miller and his Associates...provide timely information to the clients and be more considerate of our time.
