I met Mr. Lo Piccolo after a very difficult and unsavory experience with another attorney. I was having a difficult time, and was facing a charge that was quite frightening for me. Mr. Lo Piccolo was extraordinarily professional and thorough from the start. At no time did he pass judgements about my situation, just looked at all the facts and went from there. He was very clear with me about what my options were, the potential outcomes, and demonstrated a keen knowledge of and extensive experience with the law. His office ALWAYS contacted me with a reminder the day before a court appearance, and everything I needed to know was provided to me in writing. In the end, the result he helped to obtain was highly satisfactory in both his opinion and mine. If you are looking for someone who will be straightforward, direct, and honest with you and not try to blow smoke up the proverbial rear-end, I would certainly recommend meeting Mr. Lo Piccolo. I got hit with 6 tickets for suspended plates right before my birthday as I was heading out to NYC. In my mind, I thought "This has got to be more than $1500 in tickets!" Anyway, fast forward to my court date, Mr. Panetta went above and beyong and got not one, two or three but ALL of my charges dismissed!! Granted, he only charged me his minimum fee and here I thought I just wasted all my money, but that was not the case at all! I'd recommend Mr. Panetta and his firm any time, any day. Just like he said, "Im an attorney for life" and he meant it. 17 years in business and I hope for another 17 more! Thanks again.

After my son received a summons for a parks violation, I consulted by phone with Doug's partner, Kimberly Summers, and decided to retain her. We came into the firm to meet with her and Doug, and it was Doug who represented us in court. They were both very patient and reassuring, especially with our son; we felt listened to and cared about. "Your typical divorce plaintiff wants four things: (1) the house, (2) the kids, (3) the husband's paycheck, and (4) freedom to spend time in the house with her boyfriend," said one attorney. All he or she has to do to get this is file a false complaint with the Police. The spouse or SO will be arrested, locked up, arraigned and provided with an Order of Protection against himself or herself. But suppose the plaintiff is the actual criminal. Suppose he or she files a false report. If that happens to you or you just want an excellent defense lawyer, Elizabeth Crotty will get to the bottom of the story and represent you effectively and clearly with the District Attorney and in Court (if the case gets that far), She can persuade tough Asst. DA's to get the case against you dismissed outright if it is flimsy or just plain false. She does not make deals to enhance her reputation with the DA's office. If a plea bargain is the best outcome for you, she will fiercely defend you and get you a better deal than you thought you could ever get. She will represent you and not herself. The latter is a problem that is all too common especially in cases where the actual facts go against prevailing prejudices. I hired Elizabeth Crotty as my lawyer. She represented me energetically and effectively when I was about to give up and accept a poor result for myself because I was just too overwhelmed to fight well for myself. She knows what she is doing.

I would recommend her for parents looking to assist their college kids needing a criminal lawyer because she will protect them legally as best she can.

Ms. Lewis (henceforth described as L) was introduced to me when i approached the law firm of Joshua Dratel LLC for a felony charge. There was no dispute that a crime had been committed. My first 2-3 meetings with L were also attended by Mr. Dratel (henceworth described as D) as we went over the details of the crime as well as an interview of my background as a non-criminal. The firm charged less for L's time than D's time. Despite that, L's approach was super professional and thorough. I am sure she discussed my case with D virtually every step of the way as she gathered the pertinent information and communicated with the prosecutor's office. The process required investigating the crime itself, my booking at the jail, information re: my medical history, and multiple conversations with the prosecutor's office. This latter phase was the most difficult since the prosecutor's office was so busy and often did not return phone calls and emails; none of which could be ascribed to lack of effort on L's side. We had multiple conversations about strategies and she clearly made every effort to figure out the most expeditious as well as the most effective to get my charge reduced. Of course, i would have loved a full dismissal but that was not realistic. For a first timer like me, the court appearances were especially intimidating. The idea was that we would eventually agree on an offer from the prosecutor's office once the charges were reduced. The first court appearance was effectively a bust since the prosecutor was not ready to make a solid offer; the excuse being they hadn't had the time to really think through the case. Hence my second court appearance was scheduled for 6 weeks later. At both appearances, L met with me a good 15 min before our scheduled time to go over her communications with the prosecutor's office and explained in detail the ramifications of what the ultimate agreement would mean. There are so many places one can land. Dismissal, dismissal with conditions, disorderly conduct, disorderly conduct with certain conditions, and other misdemeanors. Ultimately, i accepted a plea of disorderly conduct with conditions which in this case was better than dismissal with conditions. This would be the reverse of what one would think is better in the long run. But L explained to me in careful and patient detail why this choice was much better than the other choices. This whole judicial process can be very anxiety producing however having L represent me and be by my side all the way reduced the angst and turmoil. Having her explain the different nuances made it easy for me to accept the final judgement. Without doubt, I would turn to her again (God forbid) if I have another occasion to be in trouble.

I engaged Lindsay for my father- to help get his grand larceny sentenced reduced after meeting certain restitution conditions in his plea agreement. What should have been a simple exercise was anything but; complicated by a difficult cast of characters including a tough judge and various opposing forces. Prior counsel had spent months on this issue with no success. Lindsay wrangled these forces like a pro. Within days she was walking into a hearing with consent of the parties and, when it looked like the judge might balk, was prepared with the case law to substantiate her position. Lindsay got my father re-sentenced in a matter of days. Lindsay Lewis is a smart and capable attorney. And, unlike many other lawyers, returns phone calls. I could not recommend anyone more highly than I recommend Lindsay. I sincerely hope I never need to use Lindsay again, however, if I were ever to get into trouble myself, she would be my one phone call.

I don't really want to go into specifics of my case (tl;dr it was sticky, delicate, and messy), and instead would like to focus my review on my experience with Queenie, who I hired to represent me. I'll start with results. Queenie was able to advocate for me, and I ended up with an agreement that provided me better protections. She was able to secure more for me than what I thought was possible. This is significant, especially because in these scenarios we don't always know what we can ask for. It's great to have someone in your corner who does, and will do the work to secure that for you. The second thing I want to emphasize is how Queenie did this. She is experienced and knowledgeable, there is no doubt about that. But she also sought an environment that would give me the most leverage, using a wide range of tools and tactics. Queenie threw herself into this and was an aggressive advocate when she needed to be, and a measured advocate when it would be most beneficial to me. That was my experience with her. She also affirmed my role as the client and in the end gave me room to advocate for myself in a manner I could not before. I hope to not be in this situation again, but if I do, and for the many of us who end up here, you want someone like Queenie in your corner.

It was really informative, so I gave him a call. Mr. Miller was terrific and since that time he has been my whole family's attorney. When my wife was injured in a car accident, thank God he was there to help us; when my aunt died he got us through probate; when my son got divorced his firm made sure that things were settled in a fair and reasonable manner. I was recommended to Mr. Miller by a friend when I had some trouble with the police a while back. The police had grabbed me off the street and arrested me for a crime I did not commit - and when I asked to speak to a lawyer - they beat me up so badly that I wound up in the hospital for two weeks. I cannot recommend anyone more highly than Mr. Miller as a top flight criminal and civil attorney. Mr. Lefcourt and his office worked very diligently on my case and made me feel like I was their number one priority. I had previously interviewed many lawyers before choosing Mr. Lefcourt. In the end I chose Mr. Lefcourt and it has proven to be the right one. He was the only lawyer that seemed to take a personal interest in my situation; money was never a priority for him. He and his office were brilliant in handling my case.

Mr. Lefcourt was a staunch and effective advocate on my behalf, and in dealing with the federal prosecutors was forceful and effective. He believed in my defense and strongly felt that the charges brought were unfair-and his advocacy reflected this belief. Mr. Lefcourt also had an indomitable associate who was also a valuable member of the defense team-endlessly toiling over the discovery material and providing constant insight into the probity of the evidence. The associate, however, was still an adjunct to the essential role Mr. Lefcourt played. He clearly had the utmost respect from the prosecutors and this respect insured that they would be as above board and straightforward as they could be. In the end this respect he was given played a key role in being able to get the most favorable disposition to my case. I truly believe that there are few lawyers who would have been able to achieve this kind of outcome given the same set of circumstances. My case involved thousands of pages of documents that the government provided but Mr. Lefcourt was able to distill from this huge pile of evidence the key aspects of the case-and especially its weaknesses. As importantly, he also spent the time to really understand who I was, and this understanding enriched his defense because it bolstered his belief in me and the unfairness of the government's charges. His lawyerly abilities, then, were accompanied by a keen understanding of people and their needs. In the end, and after the government had wanted to put me in prison for 20 years, we eventually were approached by the prosecutors who clearly told Mr. Lefcourt that they didn't feel I belonged in prison, and subsequently they worked with him in an attempt to get the judge to sentence me to probation-an incredible about face that could not have been achieved without his ability and vast experience. In sum, Mr. Lefclourt brings an extraordinary breadth of experience and expertise to his defense practice, but even beyond that he brings a passion as well. He, and his team, turned what could have been an absolute disaster into something that was much less so-sparing me and my family the terrible prospects that were contained in the government's complaint. I recommenced him without question. He is a lawyer's lawyer.

WHEN I FIRST ARRIVED BACK IN ALBANY NY IN JULY 2013 AFTER A TEN YR HIATUS MY LICENSE WAS CLEAN. I SECURED A GREAT JOB THAT REQUIRES ALOT OF TRAVEL. SOON AFTER, I WAS CAUGHT DOING 76MPH IN A WORK ZONE WHICH WAS POSTED AT 55MPH AND IN NYS THATS A BIG NO NO. THIS WOULD HAVE COST ME MY CAREER AS DRIVING IS A NECESSITY FOR A SERVICE TECHNICIAN. IMMEDIATELY I WAS FRANTIC. BIENG FAIRLY NEW HERE I HAD NO KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOCAL ATTORNEYS AND DIDN'T KNOW ANYONE TO GET A GOOD REFERRAL. LUCKILY I FOUND MR. KIRSCH ON AVVO. I TOLD HIM MY SITUATION AND IMMEDIATELY HE PUT MY MIND AT EASE. IT WAS CLEAR THAT ALL HIS YRS IN THE TRAFFIC COURTS HAD WON HIM SOME SIGNIFICANT BARGAINING POWER. THIS SPEEDING TICKET WAS REDUCED TO A PARKING TICKET WITH NO POINTS AND AND A $200 FINE IN A MATTER OF DAYS. AWESOME. THEN.....2 WEEKS LATER MR. KIRSCH CALLS AND TELLS ME HE FOUND AN OLD TICKET FROM TEN YRS AGO JUST BEFORE I MOVED OUT OF TOWN AND IT'S STILL ON MY RECORD. I ASKED HIM TO WORK HIS MAGIC AGAIN, AND AGAIN HE CAME THROUGH SEAMLESSLY. PARKING TICKET WITH A $175 FINE. ALL IN ALL MR. KIRSCH COST ME AROUND $400 FOR HIS PRICELESS SERVICES, CLEARED MY LICENSE, AVOIDED ANY POINTS AT ALL AND KEPT ME INFORMED THROUGH THE WHOLE THING. I'LL BE SURE TO RECOMMEND HIM TO ANYONE THAT NEEDS AN HONEST, FAST, EFFECTIVE LAWYER.

I wasn’t supposed to have a public defender, I even called and was told no, but for some reason Raysheea was assigned to me and thank God she was! I most highly recommend Dave Hoffmann to anyone who wants to understand what they are going through and how their decision will impact the rest of their lives. Dave explained to me that he has worked as a prosecuting attorney before and understands what "both sides" are looking for in a resolution. Dave is personable, kind, and drew from his experiences as both a prosecution and defense attorney to explain all possible avenues of resolving my speeding ticket before I made a decision. My primary complaint with Allan in the past was his not getting things done in a timely manner. However, in part, I believe that may be a result of his genuine desire to help people. He charges exactly half of what his many lesser well-educated peers do. So a lot of clients flock to him and he sometimes spreads his time resources too thin. If he charged double what he charges now, like the rest of his peers, he can cut his hours in half and earn the same income. He's good enough that he'll get a steady stream of paying clients and he'll have more time to better serve those clients while allowing some free time for himself to decompress and recuperate. In the end, he got the job done for me. The work he did was good, and the court never would have held the tardy filing against me personally; Allan took responsibility for it within the motion he filed. He got the case dismissed and has proven to me that he has a better understanding and knowledge of the law and principles of the law as they are created and reinforced through caselaw than his peers do. So for those reasons, I am revising this post and have rehired Allan for current and future legal endeavors. I also highly recommend his services.

Alan is awesome. He came to me via a recommendation and I was skeptical at first because he was so hard to get in touch with. But once I hired him, he has been on the ball and great. So much so that I’ve kept him as my attorney for 5 years! He’s straightforward and tells you like it is. If you have to take your issue to trial, you definitely want him representing you in the courtroom! He’s quick on his feet and witty. Definitely worth the money and the wait.

I had a distal radius fracture in 2013. I generally would not pursue representation, but this time decided to. I was tired of the right thing not being done and having to face grueling consequences. I reached out to the Firm a former high school classmate Partners with. I believe in ethic, and continuity of allegiance. After 3 years of staying on top of this matter, there was minimal Firm involvement. What I wanted was simple, justice. Finality to move on would be beneficial too. Jason Frament took our personal injury case approximately a year and a half ago. Prior to that it had been with a very well known heavy hitters personal injury firm. They had our case for 3 years and did nothing. We never received 1 piece of correspondence or a phone call. Any attempts to find out how our case was progressing were on our part. Finally we were referred to Mr. Frament and his firm. Our questions were answered and the outcome of our case discussed. Phone calls were always returned. The paralegals were on their toes and were also very helpful in sending communication. Our case was finally settled thanks to Mr. Frament. He works tirelessly and efficiently on his client's behalf. I was charged with a DWI, the cops said I was drunk, but I wasn't. Chris was able to have the charges dismissed after hearings. He was very well versed in the law, made me feel like part of his family. I had access to him 24 hrs a day via phone, text and email.. He always took my calls.
