I can't remember how many lawyer jokes I've heard in my life, but I honestly don't believe any of them can apply to Ms. Farrin. What sets Bailey apart is her genuine concern for her clients well-being. I have consulted with Ms. Farrin several times about very serious automobile matters. Her knowledge of the applicable ordinances, and the best way to move forward were clearly evident. What was equally impressive was her concern about how I felt during the process. She really eased my anxiety about the situation and made me feel that she cared about how the entire experience could be managed.

Anytime you have to hire an attorney you are already stressed but in my situation, I was beyond that point. My 14 and 16 year old granddaughters had been living in a less than ideal household for the past 6 years but in NC grandparents do not have any legal rights to their grandchildren. I was 6 years into a waiting game, then a incident happened with the 16 year old. I called Austen on a Tuesday, met with him on Wednesday afternoon and on Thursday had emergency custody of my granddaughters. Since then, we have been to court and I now have permanent custody. I made the best decision in hiring Austen Jud. He made sure he was there when I needed him, he kept me informed of what he was doing and what he needed from me. He knew how sensitive my situation was and had my granddaughters best interest at heart during the most difficult time of our lives. I made the right choice in hiring Austen Jud.

Do yourself a favor! Appoint an adviser that can deliver. In my experience Amanda Buyrn was very professional while guiding with all I needed to know throughout the process. Her approach got me out of 2 deserved negligent tickets, needless to say saving me good money in insurance for the next 3 years. Needed to write a review which I barely do for this lady, thanks again.

I don't have a long history of speeding tickets but over the last year I've received 2 (both on I-40). I contacted Amanda and she responded immediately. We maintained e-mail correspondence in order that she could keep me informed of progress. Amanda took care of both tickets and I didn't receive any driving or insurance points.

After finding myself in active addiction, I had made some poor decisions and found myself in legal issues. Therefore I wanted a better life and sought treatment. My largest challenge was felony and misdemeanor charges for my questionable behavior. I learned of Kerri’s hardworking efforts in the addiction arena through her advocation of the drug court in Forsyth county. A person assisting me with my recovery directed me to her. She listened with a caring ear and passed no judgement on me. She understood my bad decisions were motivated by my addiction. She represented me to the court as a human being that was seeking assistance to be the great person I was intended to be. She understood their were consequences for my actions and pled to the court that my consequences would be proactive, effective, and assistive in me bettering myself. Her explanation of my character and the person I truly am encouraged the court to hand down a lesser charge and lesser sentence. Understanding the length of time it takes to recover from active addiction she went one step further. She pleaded to the court and recommended that part of my consequences for my behavior would be to be legally responsible to complete my treatment program. I had never had the experience of an attorney treating me as a human being and expressing my value as a person to the court. The fact that she went above and beyond and recommended to the court to hold me legally responsible to complete my treatment demonstrated to me that she really cared about me. This was but a glimpse although a large hurdle of one of the challenges I faced in my early active recovery. Kerri’s action and compassion have assisted me in being a person in long term recovery. Ms. Sigler is not just an attorney she is a humanitarian. To this day she still reaches out to me after the case has been closed and I have completed my legal obligations. I would only pray that other representatives of the legal system follow her lead. My gratitude and thankfulness could never be expressed enough. Thank you Kerri.

As a person that had never been into a courtroom, Kerri Sigler helped me immediately adjust to the atmosphere. Her confidence spilled over into me making each courtroom visit easier. She always responded to my messages during the process. She was firm and straightforward with me. I knew what she expected of me as her client and she took the time to listen to me. We were happily surprised by the quality and trust we were able to put into our relationship. He was patient with this Mom who knew her child had been treated with injustice and false accusations. If I could take a full page ad out, I would! I can only hope you find your way to these reviews. The positive reviews are true. Mr. Desrosiers, was recommended to me and I count my blessings I listened. I had a DUI and Mr. Desrosiers walked me through ever step and court update. We had a plan from the first meeting and because of his energy and professionalism, we executed that plan. I can not say everyone will have the same results however, I would still want him to represent me. My case was dismissed! It should be added, Mr. Desroiers, was formally with the DA's Office.

When my daughter needed a lawyer in Wilmington , she chose Melissa Collins to represent her and I'm glad she did. Her case, which included multiple charges thanks to the over eager downtown police, were able to be taken care of with a voluntary dismissal after a year. She was determined and actually cared about my daughter, always answering emails and phone calls right away and reassuring us both along the way. No question was too annoying for her and we asked a lot of questions and were quite concerned about the situation . And the price was very reasonable. I would not use anyone else if I was in the wilmington area and needed a lawyer.

Ms. Ivey helped me with my criminal case. DA and officer, who charged me with the offense, were intent on getting me to plead guilty because of the way I acted at the time of the offense. Ms. Ivey was able to get me out of that and get my cased dismissed. Highly would recommend!

David Williams was able to take my case on short notice. He was very polite and professional and represented me well in court and outside of court. Mr. Williams worked very diligently on my case while we were waiting to get back in the courtroom due to the COVID pandemic. Sarah is a highly competent lawyer and I recommend her without reservation. Sarah negotiated a complex divorce after many years for me. She not only proved herself capable, but approached it as a collaboration taking into account my wishes while steering me in the direction that was in my best interest. Sarah went above and beyond on my intense high conflict child support and custody case. She explained things thoroughly without making me feel silly about being so stressed and worried. I could tell she took the necessary focus and time to my case to assure we held the highest ground in that courtroom as my case even went to trial. I had so much false accusations and slander being thrown my way and Sarah made sure I remained calm through the process. She took impeccable notes during trial which resulted in us being able to prove what was actually ordered when opposing tried to make changes AFTER court was finished. Mr. Cecil was extremely helpful to me on a case involving my daughter. I called Mr. Cecil in the morning, he was not in so I left a message. He called me back on his lunch break. I explained my situation and he said he would look into it and call me back as soon as he could. Mr. Cecil called me back at 5:00 with the good news that my case was now closed and another case with my daughter (that he wasn't even working on) was also closed.

Mr Cecil represented me on a Deferred Prosecution Revocation. Everyone said we wouldn't win this case, and that my deferred would be revoked. I was down and out, and didn't know what I would do. There are truly not enough words to describe how great Kate Kovats was in my time of need. I'm so grateful I found and retained her! I met Mark by chance outside the Durham County courthouse the day before my traffic violation court date. We had a lengthy conversation about the case and, while waiting for him to conduct other business, I had a chance to observe the goings on in court. I hired Mark and he immediately got to work, even working into the night (the 1:30 am text let me know). The outcome achieved in court was, I believe, the best possible. I will recommend Mark to friends, and I will retain his services if needed in future.

I first retained Mark Simeon 15 years ago, referred by my auntie. He handles all the traffic tickets for my whole family. We all knew he was an excellent lawyer, but after what he just accomplished for my fiancé, I must say he's the absolute BEST!! Long ago, some people in town started calling him "Houdini" because he can make license suspensions disappear off drivers' records. Now I see why -- my finance's license was suspended PERMANENTLY, several time over, and now, all the PERMs are gone! It took some time, and honestly, more money than we can afford, but it was so, so worth it. Simeon has a system, and it works. I hear he recently started a nonprofit law firm for NC driver license restoration so that he can help people who can't afford him. Let's hope they get the grants and donations they need to stay afloat because it's too many people out here driving on revoked licenses because they just don't have the money for lawyers like him. Anyway, Mark Simeon gets my top vote. I'd give him ten stars if I could!

I couldn't be happier with the result Bree from Arnold & Smith obtained in my family law case. Before retaining the firm, I was with another attorney who closed up shop with virtually no notice. Bree not only handled a lot of the behind the scenes grind on my custody case, but also took the lead on another important issue for me. She was always very responsive to my emails, called me even after-hours to discuss my case, was on-time to court, and her court room presence was awesome. She made my case look almost too easy, even though I know it was a complicated issue. I walked out of court with what I needed, and it was a great experience. She was also instrumental in resolving my custody issue, handled really tough negotiations, and brought the case to a great conclusion along with her colleague Matt Arnold. She may not tell you what you want to hear, but she will tell you the truth, and that is very important in these types of cases. She is clearly experienced, and that experience equaled a more precise attorney, which in turn reduced costs. I know this is something on everyone's mind that has to get an attorney. I have no doubt that anyone that works with Bree will know immediately they got the right person for the job. I recently hired Matt, and am more than happy to have had him represent me. I had looked at a few different lawyers and ultimately chose to go with him on account that he seemed to genuinely care, and had no judgment over my sensitive situation. I appreciate that he was accommodating to the fact that I live two hours or so from his office in Watauga County, and he remained patient and attentive as my case was drawn out for ten months. Mrs. Goodwin is the best lawyer around, she had 3 of my felony charges all reduced to just 2 very minor misdemeanors, as well as getting a separate drug case completely dismissed! I first met Dawn a few months ago. My case involves separation, child custody, and soon to be divorce. After first reviewing my case she hit the ground running. She informed me of all my options and remained flexible while I made my decision on what course I wanted to take. Even when the opposing counsel attempted to claim constitutional grievances against me, she remained calm and professional. She cited how the opposing counsel was incorrect in their allegations and the judge had grievances thrown out. While Dawn has not been practicing law for several years, she has the knowledge of an attorney who has been practicing for over 20. Along with her vast knowledge, she has the passion and drive of a junior lawyer who thrives on success. You can see that she truly cares about your case and will work very hard to obtain the best possible outcome. She is a true professional and respects the attorney/client relationship. However, you do not get that feeling that it is just about the exchange money like you get with other lawyers. It almost feels like a friendship with you both working to the common goal. I recently retained Charles Lloyd to represent me in my complex, double-felony sex-offender registration violation case. Both Charlie Lloyd and his partner at LLOYD & NASH, Michael Nash, met with me multiple times to understand the urgencies and sensitivities of my case and hear my concerns. They researched case law and worked behind the scenes with court officials, and within 48 hours, we had all options and concerns on the table. In fact, Charlie and Michael were able to persist even after two other legal firms were unable to handle this sensitive case that was destined to send me to prison for 5 years. Even though it was exceedingly difficult to face what I considered unscrupulous authorities and changing procedures for these publicly-abhorrent charges, I was well advised to plead. In fact, as a result, Charlie and Michael were able to reduce my legal exposure to a probationary period.
