David Shamloo is the top class attorney in the area! Having Mr. Shamloo work on my case has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. Due to my third and fourth counts of attempted assault in the first degree. I was torn from my family and deported. Thankfully, with Mr. Shamloo’s counsel, things began to slowly turn in our favor. So, I never really hired anyone here, but I did have a consult with Kurt back in 2019 for a custody filing. I cannot thank Bruce enough! It was a situation of what the police saw as the "victims" word and their word against my own, and fortunately Bruce and his team saw through the "victim" as well as the police report and realized the situation was more complicated than what the law was wanting to portray. I was arrested without cause when the call that got me wrongfully arrested was actually on my ex (the "victim" in some of the officers' eyes). Luckily, Bruce's team, the camera footage, the civilian who called in the incident as well as the pictures I had as proof of the abuse towards me that the "victim" did, helped us fight this (there is a lot more to this but that's a bare gist of it). If it weren't for Bruce, my Private Investigator and the rest of his team, I don't believe I would be in the situation I am now (a new lease on life) completely off of Probation and headed to a brighter future without my ex the "victim" to hinder mine and my son's life any longer. THANK YOU BRUCE!!! If it weren't for you I would more than likely be not only still dealing with all of this, although it is very possible I may also be in jail at this given time. I could sincerely give you a hug (with your permission of course) because you have lifted a huge weight off my shoulders and made it possible to be a successful mother making 6 figures a year now and finally able to put all of this behind me. This lawyer,Bruce Tarbox,represented me about 5 years ago.I was charged with 4 criminal charges.2 were more serious and the other 2 was not.He didn't fully investigate my case like he should.Before my trial,he was working with prosecutors on a plea deal not consulting with me first.A few weeks later,he came to me with a plea deal he made with prosecutors. The deal was to plead guilty to 2 charges,spend 2 weeks in jail plus 3 years probation and they'll dropped the other 2 charges.Not knowing much about criminal law myself,the 2 charges that they're going to dropped was the 2 lesser serious ones.Considering I've been in the US over 20 years with no criminal record,he could've tell them to dropped all charges or go to trial where I have a huge chance of winning.He didn't do neither! Instead,he persuaded me to plead guilty and accept the deal because its a good deal! Smh!!! Also under Padilla law,all defense attorneys are required to advise their clients of immigration consequences and to help their clients avoid getting convicted of crimes which is deportable under immigration law! Mr.Tarbox never did any of that! And now I'm deported to my country! And when I was in the immigration detention center,I filed for post conviction relief and my post conviction lawyer confronted Mr.Tarbox to find out about my case and what happened? Mr.Tarbox was defensive and lied to my lawyer about it! Now I'm deported and I have 2 convictions on my record that I didn't do or guilty of!

He didn't read my whole discovery. When asked why "lazy lawerying, and let's hope the DA didnt read as well. He did t give me my contract so he could dispute the payment he got only he was able to make it pay by the hr. Did nothing fir defense I mean would not check evadents, never put motions in, and would not negotiate plea deal as asked and just sold me up the river so when de asked for he gotten. Neal helped lift a great burden off of my shoulders with his legal assistance. Once at the top of my professional career as a pharmacist, I unfortunately succumbed to burden of prescription drug addiction and ultimately plead guilty to 4 class C felonies in April, 2014. After 3 years of supervised probation, I contacted Neal in hopes that he may be able to get these charges reduced to misdemeanors. In addition, I explained that my second amendment rights were also very important to me, and my ultimate goals for this undertaking were to someday be able to practice as a pharmacist, and have my gun rights restored. First, we worked on getting the felonies reduced. We did end up having to go all the way to court but Neal was able to put together a persuasive argument as to why my convictions were unduly harsh. Through my progress in drug treatment and willingness to complete my sentence, Neal convinced the Judge and District Attorney that I was indeed, a different man than I was 4 years ago. My convictions were reduced to misdemeanors in an amended judgement approximately 6 months after my probation ended. Next came the gun rights. In less than 3 months, Neal surprised me with an order signed by a circuit judge restoring my rights to possess firearms. In less than one year, I'm no longer a felon, my civil rights have been restored, and I'm currently working on renewing my pharmacy license. I couldn't be much happier with how everything turned out. Neal made himself available to address any questions or concerns I had throughout the entire process. If you're in need of legal counsel, I would highly recommend Neal.

Jinoo Hwang was referred to me by another lawyer who recommended him for his skills in creating a trust that was more useful for me because it was applicable in all 50 states and not just one. Jinoo's knowledge of recent changes in trust laws were invaluable in creating a trust which is inclusive of my estate but also allows me the flexibility to designate specific things to individuals in the event of my passing. The final piece that I was impressed with was the succession of trustees and the inclusion of a third party to act as the trustee in case of need. I retained Mr. Knox as a criminal defense attorney in September 2021 after being arrested for a false felony DV charge and associated misdemeanor charges after an argument with my ex-partner.
Mr. Knox visited me while in jail and said I needed to provide $10k upfront to take my case. At first he seemed understanding, knowledgeable, and engaged but that quickly shifted.
After our initial meeting upon release from jail, he was mostly uncommunicative about the case, not responding to multiple inquires for weeks at a time, not even from his paralegals or office staff. He provided no information to me that I needed to hire a separate civil/family lawyer to deal with custody/visitation issues for my infant daughter, despite multiple inquires about that process. When I discovered that separately and asked him about it, he referred me to another attorney that actively made the situation with my ex worse. When I asked about what I could do proactively to demonstrate my willingness to comply with the legal process, he off-handedly said "Go register for one of those DV Intervention programs or whatever the [F-word] they are called".
At our plea bargain in Feb 2022, he seemed more interested in sharing the fact that he knew the assistant DA personally than he did about the details of my case. When I protested that the assistant DA was repeating the lies my ex was spinning to the court, he told me to "shut up or you'll ruin everything". He did not attempt to counter them in any way.
He allowed a No Contact Order against my infant daughter to be part of the felony plea down to misdemeanor, even though she was not harmed or involved in the incident in any way other than being 5 weeks old and in the room at the time. This allowed my ex to keep our daughter from me for the 2 years of my probation, without even sharing pictures or updates. He seemed completely uninterested with my concerns of being prevented from parenting my infant (and only) child. At no point did he share with me the evidence provided in the police arrest report that demonstrated I was not guilty of the felony, or question the poorly conducted investigation in any way.
When I asked him, at the plea bargain, what his experience was with this kind of case, he hemmed and hawed, and only after multiple direct inquiries did he acknowledge he had never argued a felony DV case in trial. He was pushing the plea bargain because that is all he knew how to do. He had previously explained the risk of going to felony trial, but not that he had no experience doing so until pressed directly as we were walking into the courtroom. At no point did he disclose what the negative ramifications of pleading guilty to the misdemeanor could/would be.
After the conviction and sentencing, he did not tell me anything about the probation requirement for immediately signing up for a Probation Officer, and I almost got an immediate probation violation. Within a few weeks of the plea bargain, he removed himself from representing me.
He flat out did not know what he was doing, and rather than disclose that while I was under duress in jail, he took my $10K, did the bare minimum, and jumped ship as soon as possible. I lost my home, job, professional license, standing in my business community, friends, relationship with family members, and 2 years of my infant daughter's life because of his incompetence on a case that multiple other attorneys have since said was easily winnable. He didn't even try.
He is a personal injury attorney that has no experience taking complex criminal defense cases to trial, and his mishandling of this case ruined my entire life. I would sue him for ethical misconduct and misrepresentation, but the 2 year statute of limitations has passed. I am reporting him to the bar for malpractice without disclosing his lack of experience.
Do not hire him for complex criminal defense representation.
