I was arrested for two DUI’s a short time apart. The first lawyer I hired (not Kevin) was from one of several solicitations I received in the mail a short time after my arrests. Since I knew nothing about how this all really works, I decided that they were all probably pretty much the same, so I hired the lawyer that was closest to my home. He took my $1000 deposit, and showed up for both hearings, (which really didn’t take much preliminary work on his part). I was very concerned at this early juncture so I tried to reach him at his office several times before trial on either case and he didn’t return my calls until shortly before the first trial. When he did, he said he’s been very busy with cases that are more serious and asked why I was harassing his office, even though I had only called and left polite messages, at most twice a week, without a call back. Needless to say I knew I made a big mistake hiring this guy. So I kissed the $1000 goodbye and quickly looked for another lawyer.
Kevin was recommended to me by a relative who actually works for another lawyer. After talking with him on the phone for a short time, I had a good feeling about him so I decided to make an appointment and speak to him in person. I think I just gave him my name and case numbers, but before I arrived he had already familiarized himself with both cases. He explained everything to me in detail, and patiently answered all of my questions. Although I was, of course, still concerned with the possible pending consequences of the DUI’s, I left his office feeling confident that he was really going to do his best for me. I had been so worried about losing my driver’s license, jail time, criminal record, car insurance, job reputation, etc… I didn’t want to be concerned about my lawyer too. I do field service work so my driver’s license is critical to my livelihood. I came to the conclusion that I really needed to put full faith in my lawyer and let him do his job. With Kevin I felt I could do that, so I did.
Over that course of both cases and many trial appearances, I became even more confident that I had chosen the right lawyer. I discovered that Kevin really knew is way around the court room. He had a familiar rapport with the court officers and officials and knew the personality of each of the judges. He seemed to be well liked by them. He knew exactly how to make the system work for us, and to use a verse from an old Kenny Rogers song, “knew when to hold em, and when to fold em”. He was very versed in court procedures and legalese. He knew which of the legal maneuvers to use and at which time. He kept me completely informed throughout each of the trials and proceedings. Although I’m no expert in evaluating the way a trial goes, I was amazed at his expertise and subtle finesse.
When all was said and done, both of my cases were discharged! I knew I didn’t deserve jail time or to have my license suspended or any of the other consequences, including losing my job, that would have come with a guilty verdict, and Kevin did everything right to assure that didn’t happen. I know he knows just how very grateful I am too, from my obvious joy at the outcome.

I was a first time offender who was looking at 3 felonys on a crime i didnt commit. Kevin Birley took my case and got the charges down to probation. Without his help i would of never been able to put this mistake behind me and I am now back to working at a better job and doing better than ever. Thank u again Mr. Birley. Used Kevin for my boyfriends VOP hearing. It was a first time tech. violation for a DUI case. Not only did he get the detainer lifted and avoid further jail time, he was very upfront and honest. He did not give false hopes or make unrealistic expectations. Even for a simple VOP hearing, he put time and effort into the case and even followed up after the case to ensure he was released. He also has very reasonable prices. If you need a criminal lawyer, I would highly recommend Kevin.

Blane helped me with everything I needed in my custody hearing. He was very informative and knowing of the subject. He is very responsive and got the order finished in a timely manner. He is very polite and was very respectful to my three children. He also did not back down and always knew what to say. Doug really went above and beyond for me even before he took my case. I had contacted him about an old criminal case. The charges were supposed to be expunged following probation through the ARD program for first time offenders. He had to dig through paper archives and even went as far as contacting the director of the Probation department who was working there during that time.

I cannot say enough about Shaffer and Engle law practices. At the time I was being accused of something I did not even do by Pa state children and youth services. The case was given to the Pa state police who conducted an investigation into the allegations and closed the case without any charges being filed.
Although I was never arrested or charged of any crime in this case that did not stop Pa state children and youth services from placing me on a state sexual offender list.
When I first met Alyssa Knisely and Jeff Engle they were both very professional and easy to talk with. After reviewing my case they were able to sit down with me and go over all my options. While doing this they were explaining everything in a way that made it easy for me to follow without being caught up in all the legal talk.
Jeff and Alyssa worked as a great team. As Jeff took the lead during the court hearing being able to bring so much into the open about this case. Alyssa was right there while they both conferred with each other to make sure they did not miss a thing. Meeting Jeremy was a true blessing. My husband filed a false complaint against me for which I was arrested. I was very upset and very stressed. Before Jeremy, I spoke to couple of other lawyers but was not confident that they will do a good job. Jeremy Gelb represented me on a charge of possession with intent to distribute. The fact that he got me a better result than I ever expected may be the most important reason why I am giving him the highest rating but it is far from the only one. He did a number of things that made me feel like I was a priority. He returned my calls promptly. Even when he was in the middle of a high profile trial in federal court. He gave me good advice and helped me make some tough decisions. But he also listened to me and consider my point of view.
I noticed something early in my case. Other lawyers even the prosecutor treated him with respect. I could tell that he was highly regarded by his peers. I had some frighting consequences staring me in the face. In the midst of all that he made me feel that I was in good hands. Thant feeling helped me get through it all.

Attorney Dethlefs is a lawyer who works very hard to research and win a case. He cares about his clients - you will never feel like "just another client". He worked very hard on my case to keep me literally "up to the minute" on what was happening. I never felt "in the dark" or received any confusing documents. Attorney Dethlefs prepared me for the court appearance, was informed and very prepared for the case. Although, we thought we may have to eventially prevail throught an appeal to a higher court, the case presented was decided in our favor at the lower court and the plaintiff actually ended up being admonished by the judge.

I was involved in a very lengthy divorce and custody battle. I had spent a fortune and had gotten nowhere. A friend referred me to Mr. Fenerty. I was amazed from our first telephone conversation. He completely understood my perspective and he also was able to explain my former spouse's take on things as well. He explained the legal stuff to me in a way I understood it and recommended that we try to calm things down. I was doubtful but I really trusted him. He took my case. He immediately called my spouse's attorney - who he knew (oh, it seems like this man knows everybody) and things changed immediately. We went to court a few times on the custody and the divorce and succeeded every time. I now am sharing custody of my kids and I feel like I did great in the divorce. Things have gotten better with my ex and I have never been happier. I ended up paying him much less than my prior attorney who accomplished so little. He is a really down to earth guy and he really seemed to care about my case.

What can I say, sometimes we find ourselves in a tight spot. Don't take a knife to a gunfight. Scott defended me throughly and treated me with dignity, I walked away and learned from the misunderstanding with no criminal record, with the charges dropped. Maybe I didn't need "the best" but better safe than sorry when it comes to the judicial system, I hired Scott and would recommend him to anyone that is in need of a serious criminal lawyer.

He was a great choice because he beat my complicated cases. Doug recently represented me in a serious traffic violation (3 summary offenses & 1 criminal offense). He convinced me that he was sure the criminal charge would be reduced. However, he got 3 charges dropped and the serious one reduced to a minor traffic offense with a small fine. No points & no significant fine - far exceeding expectations!

I had met with two attorneys concerning my DUI before consulting with Mr. Marsico. Ten minutes into the meeting, I knew he was the person I wanted to represent me. I had never required the services of an attorney before and I was very concerned. He made me feel at ease and did a really fine job of explaining the process and the options available. Throughout the entire process, he was there for me when I had questions or concerns. At the hearings and any related proceedings, It was obvious that Mr. Marsico was very well respected by his peers, judges and all court-related personnel. He is a true professional and a good person. I was very pleased he was able to get me into the ARD program despite a very high BAC and other possible issues. I highly recommend his services.

Mr.Nahas is all about business. He takes pride in his clients, pulls no punches and gets straight to the point. In the end you get what you pay for. You want a TV dinner hire someone else, you want Surf and Turf, hire Joe. He stands second to none. I had a case that he took. It was over before I even stepped foot in the Magistrate. I walked out with a simple $100 fine and the arresting officer put in his resignation after Joe set him straight. In my personal opinion Joe Nahas is hands down the best attorney out there. When Metzger Whickersham says they mean business LOL, Joe Nahas is the Business.

I had a case where I was involved in a aggravated Assult, Simple Assult, Disorderly Conduct and Harassment and a Police Stand off. I hired attorney Nahas and he took the case. When it came time for the preliminary, it was over before I stepped into the Magistrates office. No only did he have all the charges withdrawn except the Harassment which ended up being a simple summery of a $100 fine, he also schooled the arresting officer so much that he put in his resignation. Attorney Nahas takes pride in his work and his clients. He's straight to the point. If you want the best hire the best. Joe Nahas stands second to none. When Metzger Whickersham says they mean business, Joe Nahas is the Business!!! I personally recommend Attorney Nahas for all your legal needs. Thank you again Attorney Nahas. I was wrongly convicted [shoplifting] and was concerned I wouldn't be approved for Citizenship although I've lived in the U.S. for over 30 years.
Several attorneys I consulted with were very negative but then my wife's friend mentioned M.R. Cohen was THE lawyer to go to with tough cases. I met with him at his NE office [he has others in Center City and NJ] and instead of discouraging me, told me I should apply and he thought there was a good chance he could get me approved!
As we processed the application I immediately saw a big difference. His attention to detail was amazing. Again and again he suggested better ways to deal with an issue, made me get additional documents, etc., but in the end I understood why his 30+ years experience is a big edge to the other lawyers I had met!
I was approved and am very grateful Mr. Cohen agreed to represent me. He's helping me sponsor my brother and mother and I'd never want to use any other lawyer.

Without going into as much detail as Steve, my story is very similar. I am a teacher and risked my livelihood if I had been found guilty of the unfair charges lobbed against me (my licenses would have been revoked). One lawyer after another painted a bleak outlook. In hindsight, I am so grateful for Mr. Mincey's assistance. I was one of the lucky ones several lawyers said to me after I told them how my case ended. The chances that they would have been able to achieve the same results were slim, I learned later.

Virginia is an open carry commonwealth state and I was foolish enough in my thought process and I figured Pennsylvania's laws would overlap with Virginia. I was wrong and I traveled into the city limits of Philadelphia with my 9mm handgun on the floor of my passenger seat. In the state of Virginia in order to conceal a gun you must have a permit to do so, therefore I had my gun out in the open because I did not want to break the law by having it concealed in anyway. When I arrived in Philadelphia I was involved in a small car accident. The other driver and I waited for the police to arrive and after they arrived I was arrested for not having a permit to carry in the city of Philadelphia. I was completely shocked and in disbelief that I was going to jail for a simple mistake and not knowing the law. I did not resist arrest nor was I rude to any of the officers. I was charged with a class 3 felony for not having a permit to carry in the city of Philadelphia. I've never been in any trouble prior to this incident. I graduated from East Carolina University with a degree in Business Management and another degree in Marketing. I also played football at East Carolina during my four years and we won back to back CUSA championships. I have two handsome sons, a beautiful niece and a fiancé that I love so very much and who rely on me. After I posted bail I was able to travel back home to Virginia and continue my work as an advisor. There was a dark cloud over my thoughts and life because all of the lawyers that I reached out to told me that I would have to serve jail time and there was no way around it. Mr. Mincey did not make any guarantees but he promised me he would do all that he could to make sure I would not serve any jail time. If I were convicted of a felony I would have loss all of my securities licenses and been fired from my firm and be banned from practicing as a financial advisor. Mr. Mincey took on my case and worked very hard to work out a favorable deal for me with the District Attorney's office. Kevin stayed in constant contact with me and updated me every step of the way. I did not receive any jail time. I'm on probation but I still have my securities licenses and able to practice as an advisor. The hard work of Kevin Mincey not only impacted my life but my son's life as well. A couple of months after my arrest,my son's mother was unable to take care of him any longer. August 2014 I was granted full custody of my son. I don't know where my son would be if I were in jail and not able to take him in and raise him now. I had a property that I was renting for quite a while close to 8 years making no money on it and dreaded foreclosure. When I finally reached the point that I needed to give up on it I did an internet search because I did not nowhere to turn. I came across Steven bottliglieri. He had some pretty good reviews and I thought I would give him a shot. He was able to adjust my foreclosure to the time frame that I needed. I feel that his pay rate was very reasonable. He often took emails and calls without charging me. Now after 3 years, my choice to prolong the foreclosure, he not only settled my claim completely without any further pay to the bank. I feel like he always answered my questions and he was always able to work with me when I had a little trouble switching jobs and needed to work out a payment plan.
