I had the pleasure of working with Michael Ayaz on a recent matter. He was representing us in connection with an appeal from a neighbor. I found him to be an excellent subject matter expert. He provided clear guidance. He was a thorough communicator. I've had different attorneys represent me for different business matters and so I think he would be a good representative for an experienced client. His thoroughness with communication also causes me to think he would be a good attorney for a less experienced client who might be dealing with a complex or serious legal matter for the first time. Mike Ayaz of Blake and Ayaz is the lawyer you want in your corner. He represented me in a case brought on by ABC. It was already in a default judgment against me because ABC never properly notified me that there was a case against my establishment. Mike was able to get the default judgment thrown out and allowed me to start anew. The outcome was more than expected. I like that he did not sugarcoat anything. He was honest about my chances and the possible outcome from the beginning. Oh, and he took my call from day one. The other law firm took my name and said they would call back the following week. Mike always returns your phone calls and makes you feel like you're never alone and that you have the best lawyer representing you. He is a bull dog and that's what you need when dealing with ABC. I will also add that he took the time to know my wife and I personally and that he listens. I will forever be grateful for that. Although my experience having to hire attorneys wasn’t what I wanted to do & it wasn’t a pleasant journey; it is what was needed and Moran law firm tried to make it less painful as possible. I actually found this attorneys office on a whim because I live in Vegas and the case was in Calif. The attorneys down to David, the paralegal were impeccable. No nonsense and takes care of business. I came across their name/number strolling thru the yellow pages (google). Called a few others, Moran took my case & did an excellent job. They’d keep me updated on my mother’s case, if zoom meetings were necessary, they scheduled them and my whole family would join. Had to ask some pretty intense questions but, needed to get the job done. They offered & opened up the phone lines to Myself & my family if anyone needed to reachnout to them with questions however, to minimize them from getting inundated with questions; I tried to stay on top of that.
One issue, I personally think they need to handle, was the front end secretary(whatever her title is). She answers the phones. I’m not sure if she’s still there; I personally told them how rude she was; ALWAYS and I told HER how rude she was. Hopefully, something was said to her so that she changed her demeanor/attitude.
I can’t recall how long it took; not too long to settle the case. Something I’d like to forget🙂. I STILL miss my mom to this day💔.

I retained Elia to help with my daughter's situation (DUI case) and did not help her at all. She let the Norwalk court rail road my daughter and had her life turned upside down. Elia was no helpful at all. When my daughter called her for assistance after my daughter was sentenced, Elia did not assist her. Money was not an issue but after her comment to my daughter I would never refer her to anyone.

In 2010 I was charged with DUI. Although I had a blood alcohol content of .007 and no criminal record I was in graduate school and very scared/concerned and found her by google. The DMV hearing was won based on the facts (prior to retaining her) and eventually my charge was reduced to a wet reckless. During my initial consultation we were rushed because she had to run to take care of some family errands which I felt was unprofessional. In all honesty, I didn't get much feedback or updates from her during the process and never really knew what was going on. Her assistant, whom seems to be shared among a group of other lawyers, was very rude and unhelpful on the phone every time I called. Although she had very affordable rates, I believe I would have had the same result without an attorney or with a public defender, and I was disappointed with how much service I feel I got for what I paid. Things may have changed since or she may have had other more important cases at the time. After the case, there was no discussion of how I could get the record expunged or any follow up on how to proceed, I felt like I was on my own. She was a nice person, and I hate to give bad review but this was honestly my perspective. I felt like it was just another lawyer collecting a check for showing up and doing the bare minimum.

Lolita Kirk is one of the few attorneys I would send a client to without hesitation. A referral affects my reputation, so I don't refer cases out without being sure my client will be impressed and well taken care of. DUI trials are difficult and extremely important to the lives of the accused - the fines are high, the conviction and the driving record are serious permanent records.
A DUI trial requires scientific knowledge, law enforcement knowledge and the ability to handle lay witnesses -- you MUST be an excellent and experienced lawyer to sustain a winning record in DUI trials. Lolita Kirk does this and she is beautiful, has a courtroom presence appreciated by judicial officers, she is an excellent choice for representation. I recommend her in Orange County whenever I can, and the feedback is reassuring that I am doing the right thing.

Infact my girlfriend and I were being charged with the same crime so every month we go down to Fullerton together but one day I get there and my girlfriend's case is being dropped (she had a legit lawyer) and well I found out I missed a court date I didn't know about so I was arrested. Which mango said bibcould have prevented jf I signed the deal ... I refused because I was innocent... But Mr. mango was like well this so how about we add like 800 deposit on a 10k bond and a whole day amd half lost to the county jail... Thanks mango you sure we're sweell ⅝

Scott Wells provided us with poor legal representation in a criminal case with no act of commitment nor his dedication as he failed his job with gross neglect and disregard for the his clients best interest. 1st he did disclose a severe health issue that would hinder his work ability that he knew he had and did not disclose to us at the time, we retained him if known we would have searched other council that could have provided their full capacity and attention to representation. So with no knowledge his personal problem became our problem with his missed court dates and rare client communication The outcome of his failure resulted in a double life sentence verses a 10 year plea deal he was offed. But due to Scotts negligence and unprofessionalism . the deal fell through because he could not wait to sign the deal after the court was dismissed for lunch time and the judge instructed us to return after lunch to sign the papers. Scott told the Judge he had a personnel appointment and asked the judge if we could come back on Monday to sigh as his wife has an Anniversary weekend surprise for him and must leave, even against our concern as we wanted to sign the deal after lunch, but Scott assured us the deal is a done deal don't worry, it cant be changed, it can wait till Monday. So we trusted him, and said ok as long as the deal cannot be taken back. Well Scotts concern for his personal needs over his clients needs cost my son his life, as the plea deal was taken back.( any good criminal lawyer should have there is a chance they can change it , and in the clients best interest Scott should have stayed and signed the plea deal that day! all because Scott could not wait around for 1 more hour. His negligence cost my son his life. Do not hire as legal Council!!!!!

Melissa Clark NEVER communicated with me throughout the 18-19 month period of my case and never updated my case notes herself. She took the position of arguing to drop my case a mere 5 days after I left an unfavorable review to the law firm she works for. She argued to her law firm there was a "conflict of interest" with other clients. But this was just a pretext to drop my case, as this was never brought up or hinted at before. Ms. Clark is an unethical and unskilled attorney that apparently is also prejudiced against certain kinds of civil right restorations; namely, firearm restoration cases. Moreover, her employer did not want to honor their flat fee, because the costs of my case was somehow exceeding their expectations.
I don't just leave negative reviews for the hell of it. But this attorney is just plain bad, and as a prospective client reading this, you need to be aware of my experience. To be more than fair, I tried to get her side of the story and tried to contact her personally. She completely refused to respond. I will likely be seeking further action against this attorney.

I was referred to Ken Holder by his counterpart. After reading his public story of being personally falsely accused and representing those whom also have been falsely accused, I felt he was the right attorney for my cases. I met and hired Ken on 3/9/20.
Once I hired him he did make a few phone calls and sent a few emails. He had a very strong game plan which he never followed through on, due to his lack of response opposing counsels walked all over us.
His advise made me feel like I was to play door mat to opposing counsels to avoid any actual work done on my cases.
Rather than deal with further aggravation, I let him go on 4/17/20 and asked for final billing and a refund of my unused retainer, I immediately received an invoice for an amount larger than what my actual retainer was (which I can provide proof of).
For me to believe that he did more than $1,500.00 worth of work in one month is laughable.

I hired Mr. Afghani to represent me in a court matter. A temporary restraining order was issued against me by my step daughter, keeping me from my wife of 34 years. I had doctors, county representatives and social workers, along with friends and neighbors willing to give corroborating evidence that there was no abuse. At the final court hearing, Mr. Afghani sat while the judge ruled against me. He did not make any argument or even try to produce the evidence or witnesses to the fact that there was no abuse. After the hearing, he ran out of the courtroom and said absolutely nothing to me. I wanted to file an appeal and hire another attorney. He refused to sign the substitution of attorney form until AFTER the deadline to appeal had expired. I now am unable to see my wife without supervision because of this man. For all of this, he charged me over $2500!! I will be filing a report with the state bar as well.

DO NOT HIRE THIS LAWYER.He is a slug,careless ,act like a pauper,does not answer your calls or answers days later, he is only after ur money. he does not take credit cards by telling you if he does , he will have to pay taxes. so he is a cheater already. I was looking at this site and saw the negative review from the guy whose case was dismissed and I am surprised that he was complaining about a dismissal. I had Mr. McBride deal with a Felony Assault with a Weapon arrest back in 2010 and I was happy with both the result (no conviction on my record) and the service (he immediately presented my issues to a supervising District Attorney). I would use this office again without hesitation as the fee was a fraction of what other lawyers charged for this. Maybe things changed or maybe the other client really had different expectations than I did but, I don't see how you can complain about a dismissal?

I was arrested on a restraining order violation.
Hired Mr. McBride as my attorney.
This was a very, very easy case for ANY attorney to have dismissed.
My opponent had removed a critical part of the Judges order in the restraining order which prohibited me from being arrested.
When the Sheriffs did not see that order, I was arrested.
Mr. McBride spoke to the District Attorney assigned to my case and immediately showed the DA the discrepancy in the two restraining orders: One said I could not be arrested (mine and the original courts), the other did not have that page (my opponents he gave to the Sheriff for evidence).
The DA immediately asked Mr. McBride, "How do I know your client did not write that himself and stick it in there?" (fair question).
Mr. McBride said, "You don't. I don't. Get the original court order and get back to me."
When the DA obtained the original court order and saw the original and mine were identical and my opponents copy had that critical page missing, the DA knew immediately that page was removed and, knowing there was no way the DA would win this case, dismissed the case before trial.
Easy case to have dismissed before trial.
Why so few stars when he won my case?
Having Mr. McBride return phone calls was a case in futility.
This attorney just NEVER corresponds with his clients.
In my case, the first meeting with Mr. McBride and the DA was in November.
The case was continued until Dec 18th for the DA to receive the original court order.
After December 18, I did call Mr. McBride a couple times, hoping to get an update before the Christmas break. No such luck.
I phoned Mr. McBride at least 10 times in January. Never a return call.
I phoned Mr. McBride at least 5 times in February until he finally answered his phone.
I asked him for an update on my case.
He said the case was dismissed back in December. I asked why he didn't call me or send me an email or a text to let me know that it was dismissed.
Mr. McBride said, "The court should have done that."
No Sir. You're MY attorney. I hired YOU. YOU do that. Not the courts.
That's what you get from Mr. McBride.
Good luck receiving updates or a courtesy return phone call.
I'm sure when Mr. McBride improves on this much needed aspect of his practice, his ratings will dramatically improve as well.
