My family was very happy with the way the Galligan Law Firm handled a probate matter for us. Communication and explanations were effective during all of our in person, phone and email communications. We were encouraged to ask questions. The Firm educated us and discussed certain matters involving probate that we were not aware of that would inure to our benefit. Any questions we asked via email were promptly responded to. The Firm obtained any required court hearings pretty much as soon as Texas law and the local court rules allowed. Their follow up on post probate matters was excellent. A very good point in their favor is that they have very organized firm protocols that keeps everything running smoothly in their representation of clients. I have no hesitation in recommending The Galligan Law Firm.

Mr. Mac Pierre is literally the best, hands down ! He is very knowledgeable, professional and well versed in this area. I am new to dealing with the courts and the process in general and was nervous and apprehensive about everything. I was going through a custody battle with the father of my child. I originally hired another lawyer who initially quoted me $7k I agreed but had no idea she was going to charge me for every single thing such as, “emails, text messages, phone calls, breathing the same air as her literally!” Anyways, she was horrible and I ended up spending about $27k with her to do a horrible job. I ended up firing her!
I went to Google and found Mr. Pierre-Louise. He was amazing since our first 1 hour phone conversation which by the way he did not charge me for. He mentioned he used to work for the attorney general! I had explained to him that I did win primary custody but needed him to fix several things the other useless lawyer didn’t do. He quoted me a reasonable flat rate price, I paid it upfront and he immediately got to work. He works super fast and made sure to fix everything I had ask for. I am forever grateful for his amazing service! I would highly recommend to anyone going through child support/custody battles.

I called Mr Gordon and left a message because I was having a dispute with my landlord. He called me back in about 30 min. I asked if he represented tenants(because a few I had already called said they didn't) His response was " yea if the tenant can pay me." Well I though it a bit crass but I said I did expect to pay as I am self employed I want to be paid for my work. He said well everyone that came from these type sites had no money. I reiterated that I was prepared to pay him and knew it would not be free to represent me.
He didn't want to talk much on the phone but said his rate was $250 and he could see me at 2 the next day. So we set a 2 pm appt. In looking him up I noticed 2 things that steered me in his direction. 1. He was in Greenway Plaza 12 which is close to me and a respectable address I thought and he had 41 years experience.
In the time I left a message for him I also call 2 others. One a female atty who seemed to like to be a champion for the under dog but with just a few years experience and a gentleman with a kind face and 18 years legal experience.
I mean how does one choose? I decided to set the appt with Gordon due to his years experience. As my dad use to say" there is no substitute for experience" Well actually there is. There's a real caring for the human factor of the law. Helping people because it's the right thing not the most profitable.
Mr Gordon asked for my $250 before my butt could even hit the seat of the chair. I truly felt I was having sex with a cheap hooker. His words " Lets take care of the money part first" I of course should have ran out the door keeping my money but you know that feeling like you are paralyzed and you just do what they say...that was me at that moment.
He ask me to tell him my story but three words in he said "just tell me the fact" I tried to explain to him these were the facts but each time I began to speak he spoke over me and interrupted. He repeatedly told me that if I was a large company {like Exxon} that had a lot of money he'd be interested but mostly he pretended to take notes, rushed thru the 1 hr consult, and told me he would not be interested and it was a waste of his time.
So the moral of this story is. The atty with 41 years experience and the stain from his lunch on his shirt, in a rent by the hour office is not the guy who cares if your landlord is trying to evict you and your 85y/o blind Mom unjustly. Look elsewhere please!

Robert is an amazing lawyer. He is down to earth and straight forward. He always answered my calls and emails promptly. Robert helped me get my protective order against my estranged husband and divorce. He personally contacted the police department and informed them of the protective order and requested more patrol in my neighborhood. When I called Robert at 10 PM on a Tuesday night because my ex-husband was threatening my life, He calmed me down and went to the courthouse first thing in the morning to inform the judge of the violations of the protective order. Robert also handled a CPS case for me. He spoke to CPS on my behalf and I did not have to worry about anything. They closed the case within 30 days. I highly recommend Robert Berleth. The Saturday before Thanksgiving I was served with a lawsuit for an old account I thought had been settled ages ago. Boy was I surprised. Other than contract negotiations and reviews I have never needed an attorney, and I was terrified about what to do. A very trusted friend referred me to Robert. With the first telephone call, it was a done deal. He was direct in explaining the situation, best options and he wasted no time in getting right to work. Communication was a breeze, and Robert was able to answer all of my questions and help to reassure me. By Wednesday he had a reasonable settlement negotiated, and by Thanksgiving I was very THANKFUL. Hopefully I will not need his service again in the near future, but I would definitely call him again should the need arise.

If I could give less than one star I would. I am down over $20k and they didn’t get anything done, and continually find a way to charge $1000-2000/week without anything getting done. Beware! This company is a complete scam, not legit at all, couldn’t even serve a subpoena to a roofing company, basically worthless and put me in a much worse place than I started. Gave me bad advice from the beginning to the end of the case, just a shame, terrible experience. Wish I would’ve never heard of this company.

They skipped our consultation call. No message or reason given. I tried to call them after, and no one answered. One would expect a law firm to honor their appointments.
Edit: Their reply is disingenuous. They did not attempt to call me, at least based on what my phone records show, until several hours after our scheduled call. Which, coincidentally if we are being generous, was after I left this review.
They call my opinion "misplaced and ill-informed." What about it is factually incorrect? If what I said is not true, then why make excuses after? And why have a calendar that shows nearly every available time slot is still open?
A lawyer should choose his words more carefully.

Just keep looking for someone else to help you. This isn’t it. I was very unhappy with their service. Every single time I called them they said that whoever was working my case was busy. I never spoke with my lawyer once, i only spoke with her assistants when they finally called me back after weeks of pestering them for a simple update on my case. They took over a year to get me my money and they were NOT agressive enough with the insurance company. They say they treat you like family but never get back to you unless you basically yell at the poor receptionist you speak with. Seriously, just look for someone else to help you!
