While going through a very nasty divorce (3 years and counting), my ex took control of my business and stopped paying all debt I co-signed for including community property debt. I was faced with the decision that nobody wants to make.... I had to file bankruptcy.
I met with numerous large, medium and small law firms. Most meetings were with either a sales person with little knowledge or a paralegal. Having done my own research, I quickly learned that each time I was given bad advise and pressured to "sign up before it's too late". I came across Brian via Avvo and scheduled a meeting. Expecting to meet with another sale person or paralegal, I was pleasantly surprised to meet with Brian himself. I kept him busy with question after question during a meeting that lasted almost an hour. He never rushed me or made me feel like I was wasting his time. In fact he kept asking if I had further questions for him. He seemed to like the rapid and numerous questions I kept throwing at him. He had answers to the questions nobody else did and knows bankruptcy law inside and out. Some other firms I met with told me I had to have my divorce finalized before I could file. However, Brian was the only one with the knowledge and expertise to get my Chapter 7 filed and discharged. My case was not a simple one as my ex attempted to block my discharge and I had numerous creditors due to my business and assets. However, Yuri and Brian got it discharged with no problem. Both Brian and Yuri are the only attorneys I would recommend. If you have a simple or complex bankruptcy, I would not recommend anyone other than Brian and Yuri. The entire law group couldn't have been better to deal with!
Don't waste your time like I did with bankruptcy "mills", sales people and paralegals. I simply can't say enough about how great Yuri and Brian are...... They will take good care of you!

It was nice to speak with the attorney, Sam, that would be handling my case. Most firms you need to speak to an admin or they're just in a rush to get you signed up at exorbitant rates. At the time I met Misty I was involved in a complicated Bankruptcy case pertaining to Probate matters that had been in dispute for three years. My court case at that time had cost me in the upper dollar amount of 80K, paying three pervious attorneys to defend me. Due to the complications of my Bankruptcy and Probate case none of my previous three attorneys seemed to know how to end the case filed against me so that I could have my Bankruptcy approved and Probate case closed. After meeting with Misty she explained the complications of my case. The litigants who filed the case against me were using the Bankruptcy courts to continue their Probate arguments thus effectively not allowing me to complete my Bankruptcy and settle the Probate case. I was being audited by the U.S. Trustee and sued in Bankruptcy Court for probate matters. Misty immediately contacted the U.S. Trustee who was auditing me, meeting all the Audit requirements she was able to have my Bankruptcy audit approved with no penalties or disagreements all within weeks. She then began to work on a strategy to have my Bankruptcy converted to a Chapter 13 that effectively ended the dispute regarding the Probate case. Misty strategy worked my Bankruptcy was approved and the Probate case that had been an open court case for three years was settle and approved also. I personally be leave if Misty was my attorney during the initial opening of my case it would not had lasted three years and cost me 80K. Her dedication to clients, her morals and honesty far exceeds her peers. Misty is an attorney that sees more than a client, she involves her self in a case as if it were personal and treats her clients like family, she is an attorney that takes action and truly wants a resolution in the best interest of her client.

Misty was outstanding in helping me with my bankruptcy. In the course of my business (real estate), I have worked with many lawyers, and in general I do not have a high opinion of attorneys. Misty is an exception - not only did she handle my complex case (dozens of assets, 30+ creditors, community property issues) very skillfully, she also managed my fears and concerns with compassion and understanding. My husband and I went to see Mr. Antico at his Palmdale office, we presented our case to him. We were looking to either consolidate or file bankruptcy, but after he looked at our papers, he was very honest and told us that neither would help. He is incredible! If you're in need of an attorney, Mr. C Peters is the one! I had hired him on for a case of mine that I don't need to get into but in short, my good nature was taken advantage of which resulted in litigation. If I had gone anywhere else, I don't think it would have worked out the same. I say that b/c, being in business for years prior to this problem arising, I'd hired many attorneys and I'd also usually end up firing them as well. They were useless, to say the least. Constantly arguing with my point of view, forgetful, billing me constantly but could never produce any meaningful bills. It turns out that one of them was actually a friends with the opposing side's attorney! Yeah, that worked out well. For those 2! Anyway, Mr. Peter's was there the entire time. He listened, was intelligent and kind to my money problems during the process. It was pure luck that I came across him but should I ever need anyone in the future, he's the one. Ms. Wood enthusiastically accepted my case when other "well-known" Sacramento bankruptcy attorneys wouldn't. Ms. Wood provided exceptional guidance and assistance throughout my (sometimes) stressful bankruptcy process.

I've never heard of anyone who'd been mentally ill having their firearm rights restored, but my team of Attorneys Paul Hecht and Bill Conner delivered! I can almost hear everyone exclaiming "What?" in shocked disbelief with all the negative mental health publicity these days. So, let me clarify: in 2011, I underwent surgery. That surgery and adverse reactions to medications led to my temporary mental illness which lasted only a few weeks. I've been back at work as a successful engineer for several years, but that brief bout caused me to lose my gun rights.

I recently moved out of my home after renting for 7 years after receiving a 60 day notice to terminate residency from the new property manager who never answered emergency calls, didn't show up for meetings, etc.. I called Mr. Hanley to see what exactly my rights were as a tenant and what to expect if i did not comply with 60 day notice. He explained to me very simply the laws and rules of tenancy and was brutally honest about what the consequences would be if an unlawful detainer was brought against me. He did this at no charge to me over the phone, wished me luck and offerred his services if I needed it.

I met Dennis at his office in Pasadena because my lender was going to foreclose on my home. I had no where else to turn and I was desperate. What impressed me was that he had a huge team at his office that listened to me, and they knew exactly what my bank was doing and reassured me that they've done this before. They outlined a strategy and I felt relieved. I really felt that I had a team behind me. Anyways, the result was that they found some bank errors which effectively blocked the foreclosure, and it forced them back to the bargaining table. We are negotiating a new loan and it's so much better then what I could of ever hoped for.

I recently retained Sherif Fathy to handle my misdemeanor case. Although it looked bad, Mr. Fathy felt that under the circumstances there were still several options open to me. At first, although a longshot, he attempted to get the case dismissed. When that didn’t work, Mr. Fathy told me he would work at getting the misdemeanor reduced to an infraction. I agreed to his plan and because I live out of state, he appeared on my behalf in all court proceedings. In the end, I was very pleased with the outcome. The charge was reduced to an infraction and I paid a small fine.
All Mr. Fathy's communications with me were timely, clear, concise and thorough through each step of the process. In addition, he was most candid in explaining all fees associated with representing me and I found them to be justified and reasonable.
I would recommend Sherif Fathy to anyone who is in need of excellent and thorough representation and counsel.
