I had a great experience working with The Law Office of Steve Fuerch. I was injured in a car accident that was not my fault and was hit by an uninsured motorist. Steve helped me go against my own insurance and receive a settlement I was very happy with. Steve was always extremely informative and helpful. My two sons were subjected to emotional and physical abuse by their mother and her boyfriend while living with them in California. I live in Chicago and had one son who stayed to live with me. For 1.5 years I was unable to contact nor visit with the second son who remained with his mother in California. Mattis Law drafted a perfect filing for our case presentation, including statements written and executed by my wife's father, step mother and sister which resulted in my Illinois son continuing to reside with me and a court ordered visitation for the son living in California.
Amelia Mattis is organized, intelligent, poised and calm even when opposing counsel's behavior was obnoxious. Her suggestions to me for preparation of the court ordered mediation were perfect and kept me from falling into the traps being set by my ex-spouse. The office staff of Cassidy and Cheyenne were superb and I truly felt that we were a team united for the same goal.

Amelia is walks into court cute as a button, but every word out of her mouth is so precise, factual, and loaded with information. When she speaks, she does it in a way that settles all the dust and allows her verbal argument and points to be not only heard but received. She is smart as a whip, knows her stuff like the back of her hand, will work with you to get what you want but won’t lead you astray if she doesn’t think it’s doable. She’s compassionate, professional, and will absolutely work wonders for you. Highly recommend!
Unlike a lot of attorneys, she will advocate hard for you and your children, but without bringing the drama, antagonism and inflammatory/smear campaign into the mix.
Her office staff is wonderful too. Cassidy has been so helpful in getting communications to and from myself and anyone else who needs to be looped in.
So, so thankful for Mattis Law. This is the first time in my 4 year custody case that I’ve felt like I was in good hands and feel some sort of comfort.

I don’t have enough good things to say about Denise Trevino. My divorce and child custody case was an extremely complicated case. She represented me in California while I live in a different state. The care that she showed me and my children was more than I could have hoped for. She truly looked at us as more than just a case. Dealing with the court system and lawyers is a scary and stressful thing, but she made the whole process a lot less horrible, as well as getting me the best possible outcome for me and my children. This was my first experience with a lawyer. I was embarking on an extremely stressful high conflict custody dispute. As a father, I falsely believed I was at a disadvantage simply due to my gender and felt the court would side with the mother no matter the situation. In this instance I was confronted with a motion for my child to move out of state with the mother.
Alexis Revelo went above and beyond representing me. Her and her team such as Shaina Garcia are highly motivated, easy to talk to and are amazing at interpreting the sheer amount of noise that a custody dispute produces. She was honest, practical with custody expectations and always kept me true to the matter at hand when my personal emotions got in the way.
Thanks to her, I am more informed of my rights as a coparent and now have protected rights as a father to maintain the bond with my son in the state of California.
Hands down this has been the most stressful parental experience. I do not wish it upon any fellow soul. However, if you find yourself in the trenches fighting for your child, Alexis Julia Revelo is that of legend.

I would agree with most positive reviews about Ethan and more. I have known his father Merritt professionally for a long time and I met Ethan years ago at their office. Ethan was a young sharp attorney then and he is a brilliant attorney now. My divorce was complex and difficult as it emanated from a foreign marriage. Ethan was not only prepared to deal with issues dealing with an ill conceived attempt at a reconciliation of marriage but also with issues stemming from a foreign marriage contract. He not only navigated through the reconciliation issues but also complex property issues, alimony, child support, custody and visitation aspects of the case. I couldn't have hired a more knowledgeable, aggressive and well prepared attorney. I could write a brief on Ethan. He is not only readily accessible but friendly and down to earth. There's no hint of arrogance or standoffish that you might find with other attorneys. I would say Ethan takes each case very personal and high professional. I never thought I would ever find a lawyer who could assist collect a divorce settlement awarded to me six years ago. It was easy to speak with him over the phone, as it was in person, in his office. My first impression was, he is bright, experienced and skilled in family law, sincere, and will definitely protect my interest as his client. During my visit in his office, I did not have a second thought at all to hire him and represent me. And during the process, he was always available to receive or return my calls to answer further questions, inquiries, or clarifications. He was way on time during the court set date. At the court, he was very focused, steady, so professional during the back and forth negotiation with the other party. And he has explained to me his back-up strategies if things do not turn out exactly as he intended. Guess what, Ethan had successfully make the other party reveal his assets, present recommendation to the presiding Judge, and best of all, immediate payments of QDRO judgement. As others have mentioned here, from my very first call with Lisa I felt much more calm about my situation. She was very organized and reassuring through the whole process. Her demeanor is very calm and she responds immediately. We had to do a Zoom hearing as I don't live in the area, which she arranged against the court's will. Then to add to her professionalism, the judge complimented her on her execution of my case and having all the paperwork done perfectly under unconventional circumstances.

I've never written a Google review before but I had such a positive outcome in my case that I'd like to recommend Ms. Kopelman's practice to those in need of an attorney who can support you through your ordeal. I spoke with a few attorneys when I found myself involved in an unexpected legal mess. I was really frustrated just trying to figure out legal representation, which I've never needed before. Some attorneys were impossible to even reach. I got a lot of answering services. Some attorneys honestly explained why they COULDN'T help me. I was scared and needed help. Lisa Kopelman's name had been given to me by a friend who's son had used her. I left a message with her service at the end of a business day and was shocked and relieved when she called me back the same afternoon.
Lisa made an appointment with me for the very next day and, for the first time since my problem started, I started to feel like maybe there was a way forward. I did not realize the full scope of my situation until Lisa heard me out and put everything into a legal context. I was actually more concerned about some issues that turned out to be more about my reputation than actual legal problems. Lisa distilled the real legal matters and outlined a comprehensive plan of action.
I'm an educator and tried to research the laws and court precedents. I felt pretty informed and totally overwhelmed. That's when a colleague pointed out to me that getting a lawyer is like going to a surgeon. You learn what you can about your condition but you have to put yourself in the hands of the expert when it comes to the actual surgery. So you better make sure you're in the best hands possible. And you have to trust they have only your best interest at heart and they know exactly what you need.
It may sound hokey, but this made perfect sense to me. Once I realized that I had done my due diligence in selecting Lisa, I decided it wasn't helping me or my case to worry constantly. I hired an attorney who I felt had a ton of experience and who would turn over every stone to help me and not miss anything. I can't say I ever felt completely safe during the whole ordeal but I did feel like I'd done all I could and Lisa would take it from there to do everything she could. She was very serious about being thorough.
In the end, I was spared a lot of unnecessary court appearances and Lisa negotiated a resolution, with the other parties involved, that I thought greatly favored me. Not everything went completely my way but I know it went as well as possible. I told Lisa that I hope I never need her services again but it gives me great peace of mind to know she's there.

I was being harassed by an ex. I mean this guy was following me, threatening to kill me and left the most vile messages on my voicemail. This was after I dumped him after finding out that he was a wacko. I was terrified he'd find me alone and kill me. Finally, Mr. Cavin came to my rescue. He successfully got a restraining order and in fact this wacko followed me to my attorney's office! I arrived at Mr. Cavin's office visibly shaken and crying. Mr. Cavin immediately ran out the door and caught up with my tormentor. He apparently scared the daylights out of him by saying a bunch of legal stuff I don't understand but after that, he left me alone. That day he was my knight in shining armor! I still looked over my shoulder for this wacko for months for fear that it would start up again and eventually I moved away from Fresno because I was so afraid. But I believe that he would have left me alone after the talking to that Mr. Cavin gave him. I remain grateful for Mr. Cavin's tenacity and going the extra mile to help and protect me. He's the best!

When I hired Mr. Cavin I had been trying to battle for myself in court trying to get back four children that had wrongfully been taken away. My Ex earned over $100,000 a year and I had no earnings. He had hired a lawyer and had representation while I had tried to defend myself. I lost everything without a lawyer. I had been a homemaker for 9 years and he emptied our bank accounts leaving me barefoot and homeless. He got a restraining order that kicked me out of the house, despite the fact he knocked me out in my home, claiming I was unconscious because I was drunk. I was in jail for 19 days until all charges were dismissed by a Judge at the first hearing. But my Ex and his attorney concealed that from the Family Court and got 100% custody.
When I first contacted Mr. Cavin I didn’t have the funds to hire him, but he talked with me on the phone for 90 minutes trying to encourage and educate me anyway. A few months later I borrowed the money and that was when my life turned around. I now have my children half the time, and I am working on getting full custody.
I hadn’t seen my children for almost two years when Mr. Cavin and I worked together and gathered the evidence to prove I had been set up on a false Domestic Violence charge by my husband. The evidence showed the Judge he was a liar and I now have three days every week with my 4 children. Mr. Cavin also got the bogus restraining order dismissed and got me child support and alimony that had been withheld for 2 years. It is retroactive, and my Ex owes me thousands, AND was ordered to pay my attorney’s fees.
Mr. Cavin and his staff handled my case with the utmost professional attention. As a client I feel that had it not been for Mr. Cavin I would never have been believed by the Court. Mr. Cavin truly has been my champion fighting a battle for me that only he could have won. The true care and concern I have received from Mr. Cavin has extended beyond my case and the court room. During my case I graduated from college. Mr. Cavin and his wife surprised me at my dinner with gifts for myself and my 4 children Mr. Cavin had gotten a court order that they be present for my college graduation despite my Ex’s opposition.
My case has been in the process for two and a half years. It is not over as we are now dealing with custody evaluations. But I know that no matter how long it takes Mr. Cavin will be there till the end. When Mr. Cavin takes you on as a client he invests his heart and soul into getting you the justice you deserve. Angela has represented my family for 3 years and she is amazing! I have restraining order, custody, and child support case against my ex who is a political figure. Angela is amazing for many reasons but here are my top 3: she knows the law and the judges; she is tech savvy; she is empathetic.
When I was assigned judge Nöel Wise Angela recommended we switch judges and she was so right! Also, when my ex attempted to divert the case to his political egotistical self, she redirected the case back to the well-being of our son.
Second, I text Angela (Yes, TEXT) if anything comes up, like an R.O. violation, and she responds quickly with a call or text.
Third, she understands survivors of domestic violence in the justice system- sometimes the system is not just. However, she advocates strongly for justice! I really trust her with everything!

Angela was my lawyer in a domestic violence restraining order case. I called several lawyers in the Bay Area while looking for a good fit, and Angela by far made the best impression on me. The first time we spoke on the phone, we spoke for quite a while at no charge. She went through how she would handle the case and I was impressed with her strategy. It was evident that she really cared about my situation, as was not out to just make money. She even gave me the name of another lawyer that did sliding scale work in case I needed a lower-cost option. In the end, I went with Angela, and I am so glad that I did! She was always on top of things, has a very solid knowledge of family law, was always prompt, and always had a solid strategy for how to move forward. During the entire case, the opposing counsel was trying everything possible to make the process harder for me, and frequently dragged their feet on things that needed to get done in the case. Angela took over several tasks that really should have been the responsibility of the opposing counsel because she wanted the best outcome possible. She did not even charge me for these things, which was very generous.
In the end, Angela was simply a much better lawyer than the opposing counsel and was able to negotiate a settlement, which saved me a lot of money. Everything that I wanted Angela was able to get for me, including a long-term restraining order and required anger management for the respondent. Angela was even able to get a significant part of my lawyers fees paid for by the opposing side. I could not have gotten nearly as much without her.
This was an extremely difficult situation for me to deal with, but Angela made me feel like there was someone on my side. If you are looking for a family lawyer, you will be hard pressed to find someone better than Angela.

I highly recommend Drury Pullen a Professional Law Corporation for family law representation. My child custody and divorce case spanned over a year given its complexity. At the beginning, I had the opportunity to work briefly with Jennifer Drury but later I extensively worked with Susanna Pullen. Both attorneys were responsive, compassionate and professional.
Susanna is proficient in many areas as an attorney but the areas I was most impressed with as a client were Susanna’s ability to: 1) assimilate information quickly and respond effectively, 2) write a clear and convincing brief, and 3) prepare and craft questions for witnesses.
Susanna demonstrated over and over her keen ability to respond quickly and effectively under pressure at court hearings and at trial. Susanna’s ability to absorb new information and assimilate it with old information was very impressive. For example, during a trial lunch break, Susanna quickly processed newly submitted doctor’s notes and evaluations. Susanna came back to court and was able to use the information to ask discerning questions of subsequent witnesses and to integrate the new information into her summation.
From the beginning, Susanna’s extensive knowledge of family law was clearly reflected within the briefs she submitted to the court. Her briefs were well written and conveyed strong convincing arguments for the outcomes we were seeking. Susanna took care to accurately reference and cite important points as the case progressed.
Susanna was also outstanding at thinking on her feet in the court room during the cross examination of witnesses. Before trial, Susanna took the time to understand who the witnesses were and what they might testify. Susanna’s preparation laid a solid foundation for the thoughtful questions she asked witnesses. Susanna however was not constrained by the questions she prepared. Susanna actively listened to the answers of witnesses and in multiple instances she asked important follow-up questions in response to what witnesses had just testified.
Throughout the year-long process, Susanna didn’t promise any specific court outcome. Instead, Susanna provided honest, upfront, and realistic feedback throughout the ongoing child custody and divorce process so that I was able to manage my expectations appropriately. The child custody and divorce process was arduous and required my active collaboration and participation. I really appreciated Susanna Pullen’s expertise and I highly recommend her as a family law attorney.

Absolutely loved having Steven as my attorney. I had to unfortunately seek assistance with a divorce and Steven gave me a great initial consultation where we were not only able to talk about options, but put a plan in place for how we’d like to go forward (I came prepared with financial and asset information). The consultation was two hours long and he didn’t even charge for that first consultation. As things progressed Steven was able to quickly prepare documents and was able to continue to provide legal counsel when it was required - even ad hoc. Because Steven runs his own firm, he doesn’t have to maintain a staff of paralegals which made the retainer we agreed upon go that much further. Karen Hubbell provided my husband and I with excellent legal support in finalizing some lingering issues from his previous marriage. I got arrested for a federal case on transporting illegal aliens on December of 2019 on my first appearance with my public defender that the court assign me she told me straight up that she wouldn't be able to get me bailed out, until we had court in San Diego in front of the judge that next day I had court again but at that time my brother's hired Attorney Jack J. Boltax that first thing he said to me on the interview in jail, he said we will get you out today, and that's what he did and with a lower bail. This attorney Jack J boltax doesn't play games, or loose time. The D.A put me at level ||| and a offense level 18 I was looking at real time 33-41 months the first 3 weeks he drop my level to 12 that was about a year in jail. He always said to me that he got my back. He would tell me that there was nothing to be nervous about and he proved to me everything the day of my sentence. On my sentence day I got 80 days in jail and to complete those days over weekends now I can still be working outside and support my family. Boltax was able to fight the deal and he got it for me. I truly , truly recommend this Attorney Jack J boltax he fights for you till the end his an excellent attorney with awesome knowledge to defend your case.

I hired Channe in the tenth hour just before my evidentiary hearing on custody, visitation, and child support. My prior attorney disappeared, and given the circumstances I couldn't push out the hearing and go with the date I had, only a week away. I met with multiple attorneys, but because I had already been paying for an attorney I was low on funds. I couldn't afford many attorneys' retainers (some asked for $10k-$20k), but Channe's was much more affordable.
Channe really went to bat for me and represented me better than I could have imagined. My children are now safe and thriving under the new schedule and I'm receiving more child support than I was previously told I would because she found funds my ex was hiding. Although there was very little time between when I retained her and my hearing, she and her staff were very responsive to my questions and guided me through the process. If I need a family law attorney again, Channe will be my first call.

My case was in really bad shape, the other party secretly filed for sole everything! without my knowledge, then lived with me for 2 years and never mentioned a thing. When we split they claimed to the courts I was never involved in my childs' life and never responded to the paternity papers. They used every dirty trick you can think of, I had back to back Temporary Restraining Orders being thrown at me, at the same time finding out about another request in our case. The other side wanted to zero out all my time with a default judgement to lock it in. I had only days to reply and went with a family recommendation. This was a mistake! I didn't research the guy, I didn't feel comfortable with his laid back game plan. In fact, he had no plan, and did more harm than good. I wish I would have contacted a serious attorney like Jesse. But I didn't, instead I researched and contacted legal aid organizations. Another mistake. They did help me understand the legal process and really made me feel like I was part of the case, but in fact I see now after using them so many times, they are just lazy and wanted me to write my own case, while they polished it up with legal jargon. After wasting my time and money with those downtown organization and still getting hassled by the other parties unemployed boyfriend and the drunk step dad, the final straw came when they started punishing my daughter for not wanting to call the boyfriend dad. I FINALLY CALLED JESSE! I looked around, did my research. I knew what to look for in an attorney now, I wanted someone who knows the way around the courtroom, who's not afraid to square up in the hallways with other parties attorneys. Jesse didn't let us get pushed around, I immediately got results at custody court and quickly retained Jesse Verdin for my child support case. When I called him, I was a few weeks away from a serious court date. We met up at my conveniences near my house, I have a 5 inch thick case file over the last 4 years.
