I slid on black ice and had an accident, in which my vehicle was the only thing damaged. The cop hit me (rather unreasonably) with careless driving for this, as there was nothing I could do to avoid the accident. Steven Pisani did an awesome job and was able to get the bogus reckless driving charge reduced to unsafe backing, which is a much lower charge and kept me from paying more in court fees, insurance, and in drivers license points. Ross successfully fought a careless driving ticket for my father. My father has a CDL so this ticket could have ended his livelihood. I interviewed many other attorneys in the area. I wasn't expecting a penny in the form of settlement after my accident. I only wanted my medical treatments to be covered. They dug into the issues of my case and discovered things in my favor that go far beyond what other defendants in the same case appear to have missed or not seriously considered. My opinions of Jim Helfrich and Kate Sender go beyond my ability to express. The best I can say is that I trust them to do their absolute best, which I believe they have done. No bullshit.
They haven’t always told me what I want to hear, but they have always considered my opinion and that has been reflected in the things they have produced on my behalf. My case is not over, but they believe in me and have taken my side with the best they have to offer. Their rates are fair, and I have never had the feeling they were fabricating hours as so many law firms do, especially the law firm that is attacking me. I suspect I will have more to add to this review in the future.

This is an awful firm to work with. They charge exorbitant fees. Use junior lawyers who are unqualified, have poor communication skills and take two days to respond to client requests. They charged us close to $6,000 for an eviction. Beware of this firm. I do not recommend and am pulling my three properties that are currently with them.

Having no experience in this field at all, I was pretty terrified when I was shown to be at fault for a car accident. The entire team was excellent gave me a lot of information helped me to remain calm, and on the day of Katy in particular went way above and beyond the call of duty to help facilitate me reaching the courthouse on time. I was very impressed on every level with this operation.
Oh, and they significantly reduced the amount of trouble I was going to get into! Well worth the retainer.

Carla was a horrible attorney for me! It was in 2011 I came to her with threats on my life from my husband and seeking a divorce. Her assistant Catherine MacCarthy did ALL the work and answer all my questions, Carla was sick but never was apologetic in her absence as my attorney. I didn’t receive what I should have because she wasn’t willing to stand up to my husbands attorney. I decided to see if she was still an attorney even, when I read all these nice reviews and had to get my truth out there.

If it were not for Carla's help, I'm not sure I would have the life that I share with my daughter today. Navigating the waters of a custody case are overwhelming and scary. Carla handled a fairly complicated divorce for me. She was very well prepared in court, often several steps ahead of opposing counsel. She had answers to their questions before they knew what they were going to ask.
She took care to ensure what was best for my son and leveraged a combination of negation and the courts to deescalate where possible. This ultimately brought us to settlement in what, by all measures, could have been a contentious and messy process.
Above all, I felt like she struck just the right balance between being legally and strategically acute, while still compassionate to the emotional difficulties of divorce. She often asked me of how my son was doing, with honest concern, and clearly wanted to help me achieve a peaceful and fair outcome.
I certainly have no plans to get divorced again, but I would highly recommend her to anybody needing a family attorney.

Katherine Reckman represented me in my divorce and she was very fair and steadfast through my proceedings. My ex husband chose very inept representative which derailed his case. In the end, he trusted Katherine to write up our agreement which he eventually signed. Divorce is ugly and stressful and in Colorado, you need someone who can negotiate with the other side to keep the cost down. Katherine did that and was able to do it with empathy. Highly recommended.

I found Terri when I was traumatized, alone and incredibly scared. She and her paralegal, Traci, held my hand through the process and helped me find a therapist, which ended up being a real life line for me. I highly recommend this firm, and Terri Harrington, specifically. This was the best decision I made during a very overwhelming divorce process. I hired Terri the week before my scheduled mediation, as the previous lawyer dropped the ball significantly and I had to fire him. Terri and her team were incredibly communicative (for example, I have never had to wait longer than 24 hours for a reply), empathetic, knowledgeable, and quick. I hired Miles to represent me in a traffic case in which I was unable to attend the court date. In the end, he got me the best possible outcome regarding the tickets, however, the process leading up to the court date was a little shaky. It was often difficult to reach him and I felt as though I had to keep an eye on the process. He would not ask for paperwork from me, instead, I periodically had to check in with him to ensure he had everything he needed from me. Finally, on the court day, he called looking for more files. I would have expected them to check and make sure they had everything before the court date.
But like I said, in the end, everything worked out so I can't complain.

I contacted Mr. Cabral immediately after getting my ticket. The ticket said it was a misdemeanor traffic violation and I didn't want a chance to go to jail or the stress of having to deal with this on my own. Mr. Cabral worked on my case right from the beginning and kept in contact with me with each step. The ticket was written incorrectly so no one was going to take responsibility at the clerks office to determine which way to interpret the ticket. Mr. Cabral must have visited my case at least 5 times or more before meeting me. He was very professional and approachable. The $500 I paid was well worth the trauma and stress I didn't have to go through.

Between my husband and I, we have retained Erica for 3 separate cases/incidents. I wish I could give this place 0 stars! My husband and I separated a decade ago, we have 3 kids together, my husband hired this law office to represent him to go after split custody, however my husband and I worked things out a week after hiring them and we NEVER went to court, this law firm submitted 1 document for him to the court but we NEVER made it in front of a judge for them to ever represent him. This place then sued my husband for $5k because he signed a document saying he would hire them to represent him, they didn’t care that they never represented him and that we worked things out, all they cared about was the money and don’t truly care about the “best interest of the families they represent” I think that’s beyond messed up they would sue him for what?!?! Till this day my poor husband is still paying on this debt because it has incurred thousands in interest the longer it sits not being fully paid off. We have paid $3000 and still owe over $11,000 for absolutely nothing! By the time they finally get paid off we will have probably paid close to $20k! I would never recommend this law firm to anyone unless you want them to help you destroy your life and put a financial burden on your family.
