So I have waited a while to write this review because even after divorce, Irene and Val continue to support me in difficult situations. When I came to their office, I spoke to many attorneys that continued to tell me to wait on things to go through mediation. I decided to listen but after multiple people told me I was out of discovery to move forward with a child custody evaluation, I decided to speak to Irene. Irene, as explained in every review, is an amazing person. She is a mother, wife, and attorney. Its because of this she was very understanding as to all aspects of my situation and helped me though the process in every step of the way. I think it's important to understand that what makes a good divorce attorney is Obviously their education and experience, but to have an attorney that listens to your specific situation and know every way to navigate your divorce and explain the best approach for you is what is truly amazing. You can go out and find some cut throat good attorney but that's not going to help you in this process. I am thankful I found her when I did because I believe I wouldn't have been heard and my life would look a whole lot differant right now.
In the middle of my case, Val stepped in and she's been helping me ever since. Val is another attorney that was on my case and again, she is amazing. Always on top of things, read all my emails on a daily basis, and responded to everything that needed immediate attention. Going to mediation, I walked in thinking nothing was going to get accomplished. I continued wanting to just give up everything to get it over with. Val supported me through the final settlement and stood up for me during those times. Always advising me on everything and speaking up against any ridiculous requests. Val turns the impossible into possible. Another way to say this, she turns ridiculous into reasonable.
The main point I want to covey here, if you are looking around for an attorney, you are trying to be reasonable and the other person is looking to take everything they can from you, you found the right firm. They have all 5 stars and all of them are earned. Thank you all for everything you have done and continue doing.

I generally do not write reviews but I am compelled to write about my experience with this law firm. It is so hard to put in words what the Elphant Rickett Law Firm has done for me and my precious daughter. Esq. Rickett gave me back a sense of relief, peace and most of all hope. For too long my life seemed to be in shambles. Darkness and despair hovered over and almost took a grip on me. After two and a half years of no movement from my previous lawyer, Esq. I wouldn’t ask for a better representing lawyer as Benjamin Hoffman. I reached out to them to get my kids rights in the house we live in, after their father took me to court and tried to claim half of the house despite our agreement before the divorce.
Benjamin was very attentive, listened to me and all the case details carefully during the initial consultation before I even hired them. He knew exactly my family’s circumstances and thought of every way to protect my children’s rights, always discussing progress and all the document details with me. Making sure I know all my choices and all the possible results. Very punctuate and would accommodate my work schedule to make sure I am able to talk to him. He used every piece of evidence I gave him perfectly and got my kids their rights in their house back.

I was involved in an accident on November 9, 2024 in Paterson, NJ. My car was parked and friend in the back opened the rear driver side door. A Tesla unfortunately hit part of my door. The Tesla owner and I, exchanged information, took photographs and decided not to call the police since the damages were not warranted. The day before Thanksgiving I was received a letter from Paterson Municipal Courts that I evaded the police following the accident aka a hit and run. That was not the case at all. So I called the Torrey Law Firm for a consultation. Within two hours I received a call from Louis Keleher and immediately I knew he would help me out. He explain the process on how my case will go. Looked into my clean driving record and requested photographs proving I did not leave the scene of the accident. He was able to get my original charge that involved a 6 month suspension to a minor fine with no points!! Louis helped relieved any stress I was dealing with for the final two months of 2024. I am incredibly thankful for Travis and Alyssa at The Tormey Law Firm. They were able to turn a nightmare of a situation into complete and utter relief. My fiancé got arrested at EWR with a firearm in his carry-on that he completely forgot was in there. He ended up at Essex County for a week before he was released back home. The Friday morning after his arrest, and while still in custody, I decided we needed to find a lawyer and quickly. Immediately The Tormey Law Firm popped up. I was hesitant at first but within one minute of submitting an inquiry, Travis himself called me to discuss. He took time out of his day, even at home with his children, to give me a call and let me know he could help. A few minutes later I heard from Alyssa and from then on I had some hope that things would get resolved.
Following his release we were waiting on his court date to find out next steps. To our surprise, Travis had spoken with the Prosecutor and we were now heading to a full dismissal of all of the charges. The RELIEF we felt. The initial situation happened in early August and by January we had the court date and all charges were dismissed and his record completely clean. For what we thought was going to be an uphill battle, Travis and his Law Firm truly went above and beyond to correct a mistake that should have never occurred in the first place. I couldn't recommend utilizing The Tormey Law Firm enough. They're professional, incredibly informative, and without a doubt know what they are doing. Do not hesitate to call them. I am now able to get married and know my fiancé can watch our daughter grow up.

Another big solid recommendation for Gary who we hired based on the multiple recommendations here. He was a solid partner through our home buying process. I definitely took way too long to write this review, however they helped me back in 2021 with a bankruptcy case, and i had no idea what i was walking into. Not only did they get everything cleared up, but they also held my hand through the whole process and made me understand what was going on and how to do things step by step. Definitely never left my side.
As with most lawyers go, I dont wish to work with them again, however, I do wish i had a reason as they made it all so simple.
