I met Patricia Cistaro when she was a senior associate attorney working for a large family law practice in New Jersey. During my initial consultation with Patricia, she advised me of the requirements to support a viable alimony modification case. I was impressed with her expertise and candidness, so when I felt it was the right time to petition the courts for alimony modification, I sought out Patricia and found that she had started her own practice. I engaged Patricia to represent me in a motion to modify or terminate my alimony obligation due to a significant change in circumstances, my approaching retirement age, and my ex-wife’s suspected cohabitation.
Patricia provided valuable guidance to me with regard to obtaining evidence and providing documentation that I needed to support my case. She communicated with my ex-wife and espoused the benefits of trying to reach an agreement of modification without the necessity of filing a costly motion. Patricia communicated to my ex-wife the date we intended to file a motion with the court if we were unable to negotiate a modification. Just before the expiration of the deadline, my ex-wife gave notice of her imminent marriage and shortly thereafter signed a Consent Order that officially terminated my alimony obligation.
During Patricia’s engagement, I received “big” firm legal expertise and experience, but with a comfortable “small” firm closeness. Hopefully, I will never need to engage the services of a family law attorney again, but if I did, I would hire Patricia Cistaro without reservation.

Maria represented us in a civil case concerning wrongful death. A case that other lawyers would not touch and essentially talked us out of. The case was against a NJ detention center and considered unwinable by everyone but Maria. She walked us through what to expect and how long it may take. She was kind, considerate and patient. Sam Stoia represented me for almost a year during my divorce. When things got stressful and problems arose, Sam was always there to put out the fires. He was quick to call and/or email me back and extremely prepared in court. He has been very informative and knowledgeable throughout my entire case and made everything much easier on my end. Carolyn was a great advocate from the beginning. She was firm, smart and detailed. Carolyn took the time to understand my complex financial situation that involved me being self-employed as well as having several complex trust matters.
I was willing to "give away the farm" at the onset of proceedings, but Carolyn was able to settle my case for a much less than I had anticipated.
I originally chose Carolyn because I felt she could "play nice" in a settlement scenario, but also be fierce should we have had to go to trial.

Very unprofessional and unethical. He went away on a trip and did not contact me when he returned. I had reach out to him to follow up about preparing for court. He reviewed the documents a couple of days before the hearing. On the eve of the hearing he said that he wouldn’t represent me and had me sign a substitution of attorney. He told me that he never wanted my case to begin with but that I kept going back. I had to appear the next day at court by myself and ask for an adjournment because I needed time to look for another attorney.

I should have used Ali from the start of a tumultuous divorce. I needed her to get the paperwork straightened out, as my last attorney was not prepared and didn't know the law too well.

Gary is my attorney and was my counsel during my divorce which entailed both a custody battle and one sided demands from the other side. Throughout the entire process (my divorce was finalized two weeks ago and it began in the winter of 2023) Gary was honest, knowledgeable, comforting but at the same time he did not sugar coat anything and lastly, he is a fighter for his clients. I received equal parenting time, none of the demands from the other side was in the final settlement and in fact, I did significantly better than I ever thought I would. Everything was filed quickly but they said “the court doesn’t provide updates” many times when asked.
Almost a year into my process, my ex heard from a friend that their divorce was finalized in less than two months and then she tried calling the court to get information, she was then told our divorce was finalized 7 months prior.
I went to court and was able to get the final decree, but still haven’t been notified by my lawyers that I’m divorced…

Not going to lie, they are quick with starting the divorce process but it has been almost 8 months and my divorce still isn't finalized...and I was told my divorce should be finalized from 6-7 months, then they pushed it back and told me it is now 6-8months. What's next, a year? I ask for an update and I get told that they will get back to me and they never get back to me. These reviews did get my hopes up unfortunately. I just want this process over with already.

Mr. Anderl was hired to represent my brother. He did not call any witnesses, which were available. Failed to conduct a proper investigation and did not cross examine witness. Any first year lawyer or even public defender would have had this case dismissed. He admittedly did not open my brother’s file until the date of trial. He failed to file any pre-trial motions to suppress evidence. Because of his incompetence my brother got a 30 year sentence . Please do not hire. He doesn’t deserve that one star, 0 and negative numbers were not an option.
