This past Fall I found myself in a domestic violence situation that could not be ignored. I interviewed several lawyers always bringing a family member with me. I was searching for a gut feeling and that happened when I met Sal & I hired him. Throughout this daunting, nerve wracking experience, Sal put my mind at ease& just knew when I needed a kind word to get me thru. Sal takes no B. S. from the adversary & was smart in his responses. Sal was thorough, listened & addressed any concerns I had & always kept me in the loop.He had my full trust and was more than fair with the time he gave me and how I was billed. Although, if your searching for a truly Great ethical lawyer, with a solid reputation who’s respected in the courts while getting the job done for you and your children, Sal Simeone is your man!! With close to 30 years experience Sal has dealt with all aspect of family law and I’m extremely thankful for him & his team. I was recommended to Sal in 2016 from a reputable Morris county lawyer who knew my divorce would be high conflict. I was told Sal Simone would be the best for what was ahead in my case. I’m grateful that I took that advise because after 4 false TRO’s, several motions and a trial for a final TRO that was dismissed. Sal and his team were always on their “A” game all the time no matter what was taking place. No matter how my emotions escalated based on so many false allegations and my concerns for the children. Sal and Matt always kept me focused, had a plan in place along with making me realize that the truth would come out in the end, which it eventually did. I was referred to Sal Simeone thru a friend with a post divorce issue also. My case was about terminating alimony due to ex claiming he was disabled. He was still working, never applied for disability. This was a frustrating time. Sal continually spoke to me calmly with reassuring words. He kept me focused and on point to the matter on hand. Sal saw thru the Smoke Screen the ex & his attorney were trying to pull. When I would get caught up in the drama & get so tired of it, he would have another strategy to offer. I always hung up the phone feeling he had my back and filled with confidence. The post divorce issues can be just as emotional as the divorce, you need Sal, he is fair, level thinker and supports your interests at all times. He was always available to answer my concerns, and kept me informed on everything. I was not disappointed with Sal and neither will you be. I typically don’t write reviews much, however I’m going to for this situation because I don’t want anyone else to have to go through this. Ironically it looks like the same thing happened to the person who left a review before me. My husband got his first ticket, I hired Jordan and gave him all that he needed. (Back in June). It was due July 11. So I wreathed out a few days after to follow up. Getting a hold of him took about a week. On the phone he assured us that he entered guilty plea and to keep an eye out in the mail for a court date. Few weeks went by, nothing. I took it I like myself to log into the courts and check myself .. no plea entered. I started to panic. I called his office every day. My husband even called the office. I emailed him multiple times…and was told they would take a message and he would call us back. Nothing. So I thought, ok…it’s been a few weeks, I know attorneys get busy… I emailed the courts…to confirm there was no plea. No plea. My worst fear was for a warrant to go out. I immediately got another lawyer. And there it is. We just got informed there is a warrant. Jordan, you violated so many Rules of ProfessIonal Conduct on this situation. Im speechless that this would even happen. You lied to us, then avoided us. We confided in you when we paid you to help us.

He didn't notify the court to plead not guilty and tell them he's going to be representing me. I received a failure to appear notice, an additional fine and a warning that the court will put a warrant out for my arrest. Been trying to contact him and left messages for the last 3 days with no response

When I hired Laura she was very honest and direct to the point with my situation. She was aggressive in her letters to the other attorney and actually got the other party to drop their side of the disagreement. Costs were reasonable and money was well spent.

I hired Kevin when I was unexpectedly served to appear in court. He not only put in the effort to make sure that I won my case but that I, who had no previous experience, understood what everything meant. He worked hard to make sure that I wasn’t only successful in my defense but that I was as comfortable as possible throughout the entire process. I would use him again and I would highly recommend him to a friend.

I cannot thank Mr Ku, Kevin W. enough for his great due diligence on my case. He resolve my case within 2-months, an unbelievable time, base on many lawyers I talked before him. Best thing is that he did not promise me any time, he just delivered it. After realizing that a con law firm was ripping me off for last 7 months with not clue of ending the case. Unable to see any light at end of the tunnel, I was heartbroken and clueless. With my faith on second chance, I started to look for a lawyer for second opinion. I virtually talked to 5 lawyers in the area, all of them offered 15 to 30 mins free consultation time, but none give me time to speak. It was time the layers used to collect my information and advertising their firm. Some of them even asked me to signup for follow up session or retain their office while on the phone! My search for a layer stopped after talking to Mr. Ku. The only questions he asked me was “Tell me what happened?” I was given a time to explain my issue without interruption. My questions were answered with reasonable follow up questions. He listened and he heart me! I first asked him to review my case for a second opinion, but I changed my mind an hour later. I called him back to ask if can take over my case. As soon as Mr. Ku agreed to take my case, I fired my sloppy lawyer! That was my best decision of year 2021. Summary: - he listens and understands you. - he presents your case with supporting data/numbers/clear rationals - he is keep your case transparent to you like a glass You gave me a clean start of 2022. I should have hired Counselor Michael right away. But after firing my previous lawyer, I made a very good choice by using Michael Guntenski Esquire as my divorce lawyer. He is a leader in the profession who is generous with his time. Mike is a compassionate advocate and an experienced litigator and made sure I got what I wanted in my settlement as my divorce was rough and could have been a lot more difficult had it not been for Mike. He arrived for every appearance on time and prepared. He continually kept up with the opposing attorney, repeatedly negotiating on my behalf. He always kept me up to date and informed on these negotiations, and always asked for my opinion and input, and moved forward based on that input. I highly recommend using Michael Gunteski Esq.

Experiencing a divorce is not really something you plan for, especially after having children with someone. It can be an incredibly overwhelming, emotional, and confusing time. It was for me. Having said that, there are steps you can take to help ease the fear of the process. One of the steps, and in my opinion probably the most important, is hiring the "right" divorce lawyer. I wanted someone who really took the time to understand me and my children. I didn't want to be treated like any other client with a failed marriage. It was my life and it felt like it was falling apart. I needed compassion and direction. I needed someone who above all else would put my children first no matter how angry I got at my former husband. Bottom line, I wanted a lawyer who genuinely cared. Michael Gunteski was exactly who I needed. His unwavering resolve to protecting my children was like nothing I could have hoped for. He guided me through one of the hardest times in my life with patience and dedication to doing what was right for my family and our future. "I unfortunately had Alexandra Coglianese appointed as our parent coordinator. She exhibited bias and manipulated facts to fit her own narrative. Her dishonesty led to false statements, some of which she corrected when confronted. She even presented inaccurate information to the judge, some of which she later amended in an email sent at 7 PM the night before the hearing. Whether this was deliberate or due to incompetence, she failed to prioritize my daughter’s best interests by presenting misleading narratives to the court and making false statements and unsolicited recommendations. If you’re seeking someone who is fair, honest, and genuinely looks out for the child’s well-being, I recommend avoiding Alexandra Coglianese.”

Angela Scafuri, I was referred to her by a retiring attorney. It was the best possible turn of events for me. She listened attentively and non-judgmentally to my issue and to my hesitations. Her responses showed that she immediately understood the issue and me. Angela presented insightful points that I need to know even before we formally began. She tenaciously defended my interests even as I faltered. Low pressure with me but unrelenting aggressive with my Ex. So much so that she was referred to as the “shark”. I knew I needed a lawyer. I have had the misfortune of needing many different types of lawyers in my life. The bright spot of that, is being able to recognize what a good attorney looks like, and Gene is absolutely phenomenal. I reached out to the main office regarding my legal situation and the admin/finance departments were always responsive, kind and professional. I felt the pricing was transparent, and fair. I was impressed with the level of communication, dedication and quality of service provided by this firm. Gene is an extremely knowledgeable, helpful and organized professional. His professional connections and legal acumen makes him an incredible attorney. Whenever I had questions Helen and Gene ensured I felt comfortable and was fully informed of each potential branch the case could take. Thank you, DENNIS SHLIONSKY and DANIELLE! This is the second time Dennis represented me, and I couldn’t be more thankful. Right when we were about to settle my first case, I got into another minor accident that made my neck pain even worse. The insurance company tried to brush it off as a simple fender bender, but Dennis didn’t let them get away with it. Even though I had surgery after the first accident and the MRI showed my herniation had shrunk, Dennis fought tooth and nail to make sure I got every dollar I deserved. Dennis isn’t just an incredible lawyer, he’s a genuinely good person. He listens, cares, and follows through on everything he promises. There were times I needed to reach him on weekends or late at night, and he always picked up the phone, no questions asked. He made sure my medical bills were taken care of and never let the insurance company push me around. Dennis truly saved the day and got me all the money I was owed. If you need a lawyer who’s relentless and also has your back, Dennis is the one. He’s hands-down the best.

Micheal has been my attorney through a horrible shameful divorce and custody battle since 2012. After 5 long years, Micheal is still fighting the battles and the road blocks that my ex-wife keeps throwing our way. The father always seems to be considered "second class" with the court system which makes it hard to always get to the truth. Micheal will always make sure that your child's voice is heard to help fulfill your child's needs. We had 4 parent coordinators, 2 guardian alignments, therapists, and social services in place which has been extremely expensive and heartbreaking across the board. Micheal has waived my fees sometimes during all of these services because the expenses were out of control and I was unable to keep up. He always puts my sons needs and best interest first as he continues to support and help me fight this horrible battle. Micheal Spinato has gone beyond the call of duty during the last 5 years and I stand behind him 110% to stand up for my rights as a dad. I hired this office for a very simple case regarding visitation and child support. I was told multiple times that the ease of the case would not allot for more money than the amount of my retainer agreement and that I would get a refund. I paid the retainer agreement in full. I supplied the supporting documentation including requesting previous records myself, weeks before the case. Somehow they still only filed my counter application a day before my court date. Court was ok, although I felt it could have been much shorter however the attorney didn’t do anything to stop the other party from rambling on and on. After court I received an email stating I’d hear from the legal assistant regarding my refund. Instead I received a bill for $2,000 extra dollars. I looked through the itemization, shocked but accepting I am no expert. The billed items charged hundreds of dollars for my inquiry with the office (before I even decided about being represented), phone calls that were only few minutes long where I was charged an hour or more (I matched to my phone records), emails that didn’t ever happen, record requests where I had supplied the records myself, and several other items that were entirely made up. I disputed the charges, providing my own records (like my phone bill and email record that in no way could have been fabricated), and was told that I didn’t understand how things worked. I offered to compromise and started doing my own research. It turned out this is a repeat issue with this office and now I have to file a formal dispute that will end up with me in court/mediation again. Be careful- I guarantee you’ll be overcharged if they think you can pay it.

Katie was not prepared for any hearing. She did not prepare for the divorce hearing at all. I lost everything I put into my marriage. I cannot afford to get a place of my own and often have to sleep in a garage. Her forensic person was even worse. Completely unprofessional and not prepared. Stay away.

Ms. Jerijian is a highly intelligent and eloquent attorney. She is a great communicator and we never had to chase her. I contacted Ms. Jerijian seeking legal representation for a young family member. Unlike the other attorneys I interviewed, Ms. Jerijian listened patiently and carefully, and did not give us the bum’s rush or pressure us. Without going into detail, our family member had been dealing with recent difficult events that had bearing on the matters. Ms. Jerijian’s compassion and understanding, coupled with her knowledge of the law and the various NJ court systems, deeply impressed me – as did the rapport she developed with the young family member, which caused him to trust her and accept her guidance. She never treated him like just another case. In my opinion, this helped the prosecutor and the court consider all relevant factors. We were very pleased with the resolution.

I cannot recommend The Law Office of Blair Zwillman highly enough. When my then 19-year old son got his only traffic ticket a few years ago, Mr. Zwillman pulled off a miracle. My husband and I are both non-practicing attorneys and almost lost our minds when we sat this ticket. It was over two feet long and contained 6 or 7 separate violations adding up to a more than $700 fine and so many points that my son almost lost his newly minted driver’s license. The NJ cop who pulled him over was clearly on a mission to more than exceed his quota that mouth as many of the violations he was cited for were clearly discretionary and over the top. Long story short, we contested the ticket and Mr. Zwillman represented my son in traffic court. He vastly exceeded our expectations and got the ticket down to about $100 fine and just a few points. As a former traffic court judge myself, I can attest to Mr. Zwillman’s incredible skills in working with prosecutors and judges to achieve the best possible results for his clients. He is one of the best attorneys I have ever had the pleasure to work with.

I saw this lawyer in court and he is extremely unprofessional. He didn’t care about his client. The trial went on for several months and he still seemed confused on the sequence of events. His objections in court were essentially always overruled. He made a fool of himself.

My experience with this law firm was is that if you have issues with D.C.C.P. Allison Williams is the attorney that you absolutely should get on your side especially, if you don't have close to a squeaky clean past and/or you do not walk a straight line. No matter what you did or what they said you did, the outcome will likely be a lot better if you get Allison on your case. An attorney in the Williams firm represented my wife in a D.C.C.P. case. The outcome in my wife's case was ok but now looking back after meeting Allison she should have paid more money for Allison instead of getting one of the other attorneys in the firm. Although I only spoke with Allison one time with my wife ,knowing the system very well and the past dealings I have had with other attorneys, I feel that Allison is the real deal and can be trusted. I would advise you to pay the extra money she charges for her service rather than getting one of the other attorneys in her firm that will not represent you like Allison will. I am hoping to get Allison to help me gain custody of my 7 year old daughter. I met other attorneys from big expensive firms, and I pick Allison over all of them.

Absolutely horrendous experience. Does not communicate with client whatsoever. Does not communicate with other parties attornies whatsoever. His only excuse ever is his email is "down", which isn't an excuse in this day and age. Did not file any of the necessary paperwork; actually did not represent or seem to even care for/about client. Talks a big game but shows no knowledge in any of the fields he supposedly represents.

It was around March 2021 when my sister needed help with a divorce attorney and reached out to me to see if I knew anyone in the NJ/NY area. After a little research online, I came across Erol Gulistan's Firm in Wayne NJ which was only a few miles away from where my sister lived. I have immediately called him to speak about his services and he was very kind to go in depth and explain me the procedure, his fees and the prospective timeline. After a few calls, I have made an appointment with Erol and decided to drive up to NJ to meet up with him in person. So me and my sister visited him in his office and he was super caring and kind and re explained us the process. My sister immediately signed the contract, hired him and actually paid him $3500 right there leaving a balance of $1500 to be paid later which she then paid. So Erol started the process and he already knew the non cooperating husband's issue and was aware that this was no way an easy case and my sister needed help in all stages. So as soon as the process started and the paperwork was filed, Erol literally ghosted me and my sister. He has never ever returned a phone call from me nor from my sister. I have kept leaving him voicemails but he never showed the courtesy of returning them. My sister has been emailing him since April 2022 and there is not even a single email that he has replied. He literally has disappeared as soon as he got paid and never showed any care, due diligence or professionalism. So for those who are searching for a Divorce Attorney I guarantee you that this person will disappoint you in all ways. Do yourself a favor and go find a real attorney that will answer your questions, reply your emails, return your calls and not ghost you as soon as receiving their payment.

I began my divorce proceedings with a lawyer who only concerned himself with separating the client from his or her money and drag out the divorce to that end. I fired that lawyer and hired Paris P. Eliades, Esq., who is the exact opposite of the first lawyer. Mr. Eliades strives to complete divorce proceedings as efficiently as possible, always with an eye to saving his client paying unnecessary monies towards that end. Mr. Eliades is always prepared in court, unlike some other attorneys I have observed. He and his staff are competent and knowledgeable regarding their jobs and responsibilities to their client.
