I got a traffic citation when traveling home from vacation. Cotten Law Firm handled my case for me so I didn’t have to travel 6 hours back to NC. Case was reduced to Improper Equipment. I hired Mr. Reese in 2019 for a DUI. I fell asleep at a stop light and blew a .09. Because of COVID, a mistrial in 2021 and Mr. Reese wanting to have the right judge in front of us, it took until last week to have this case resolved. He presented arguments that he hadn't even let me know that he had up his sleeve and I was found NOT GUILTY!!! Let me tell you...I remember seeing the sign back in the 70's seeing " Welcome to Smithfield, home of the KKK" and I thought I was definitely behind the eight ball, being black.

I am so thankful that I chose Jillian to represent me in my custody case. From consultation, to solidifying a final order by trial Jillian was a strong advocate for my desires and kept the interest of my children at the forefront. Jillian and her firm was very responsive to all my correspondence and operated at a level of excellence that I have grown to expect as a veteran and military professional. She is not afraid to address stereotypes, biases, and put together a plan that challenged them all. Furthermore, she understands the importance of fathers, African American fathers to their children, and was not scared to have the difficult conversation in court with children of both African American and Caucasian parents. My voice was heard and it was 100% clear that she would fight for my desires, but she always gave thoughtful recommendations to me as her client. Jillan promised she would advocate for me in the best way possible and build the strongest case she could and she delivered on her word. I am 60 yrs old and This is my first review EVER! But this guy deserves it so here goes Don't even think about it ,just hire him!! This is the guy everyone wants!! I"m from New Jersey and I got a speeding ticket in November 2018, 95MPH in a 65MPH zone ( automatic loss of license)coming back from his wedding,they gave me a court date 4 months later,which I missed .I Got a warrant ,contempt of court, Loss my NC DL priviledges ,loss of NJ DL priviledges, $300.00 fine and still had the ticket! With one phone call to jane and such a super reasonable fee within 1 week Brian got everything dropped all suspensions reversed warrants vacated,fines dropped and original ticket reduced to 74 in a 65 and a minimal fine! He saved me MORE money than I pd him.And I never met him and he fought like a tiger, him and Jane treated me like family the whole time! I tried to tip him and the staff but he refused, So this will be my first and last review ever, my words to the world is "5 stars isn't high enough" for Brian cloninger just hire him don't hesitate

When I got my first dwi, I didn’t know how bad it was about to be. I quickly started to look for the best attorney and Mr Keith Rouse caught my attention. After I sat down with Mr Rouse, I felt better knowing we would try and fight this.
After about 9 months, I walked out of the courtroom with a second chance. Mr. Rouse got my case reduced down to a careless and reckless and was able to keep my liscense. I can’t thank Mr. Rouse enough and would recommend him to anyone.

I first met Keith Rouse when he became my lawyer in 2013 when i was facing numerous felony charges and i couldnt be more pleased with the outcome of my case. Keith Rouse is well respected in the courtroom by the judges, D.A's, and his defendants and believe me when i tell you that that is VERY IMPORTANT. Courtney went above and beyond to help my son with his child visitation case. She came in on her day off , during pandemic when the opposing counsel pulled a shady court order. She immediately handled the situation and with good results. My son's case was a tough case and ended with good results without even having to go to trial. She is worth every penny and then some. When I made the decision to modify custody for my daughter I knew it was going to take a GREAT attorney to make it happen. I was told Courtney Hull was the woman I wanted, and boy was that information correct! Courtney is an amazing attorney who is passionate about what she does, I felt like like she was more than just my attorney but a friend! She did everything in her power to help my case and I ended up with joint custody, 50 50 after signing sole custody over to my childs father and after not seeing my child for a year. Almost unheard of right? Yet Courtney made it happen. I can't begin to put into words how lucky I feel to have been represented by Ashley Smith in my divorce and custody case. Ashley cares about her clients and during what was easily the scariest and most difficult time in my life, I was able to focus on what mattered, protecting my 7 yr old daughter, myself, work, and keeping a straight head knowing I had Ashley on my side to quickly navigate and provide outstanding advise during a chaotic time. She believed in me and was always available and immediately got back to me the numerous times I had to contact her. I was prepared most importantly for the 2 times we had to go in front of a judge and was calm on the stand because I listened to Ashley's advise. Unfortunately my case involved addiction and child endangerment. When going through something like this, you almost spend as much time contacting your lawyer as you do speaking to friends and family. I cannot say enough about Ms. Ashley Smith. She is the eye of the storm. The part in the middle that is calm and stable while there is chaos spinning all around. Some of us, like me show up in her office vulnerable, clueless, scared, hopeless the list goes on.
