I hired Jon to remove alimony. My ex was representing herself. This was actually an easy case for Jon. But, Jon was very professional the entire time. My ex was not cooperative at all. We ended up in settlement conference and the ex did Not show up. Jon, gave me the option of stopping here or to continue to trial. I state this because he could have made more money on me if we went to trial. I requested a trial to seal this case for good. I was impressed with Jon during the first hearing in that, he was reviewing the case rather than sitting there like all the other attorneys soaking up my money for nothing. The only negative thing I have to say is, he added 4% to my bill for office work. It might have been in the contract that I did not see but in any event. Out of the 4, yes 4 attorneys I had he was the best of them all. If you have to I'd hire him. I think he is as fair as your going to find in this business. I wish I had found him first, as I believe I'd would have gotten a better deal than I got with the others... Divorce Suck when there are arguments.

Knew exactly what he was doing. Our family was up against a female lawyer that was downright nasty. Retained Jon and all of the personal harassment stopped. This was a child custody issue. The parents never married. No child support was ever paid. The father and his family lived in another state. The father's mother decided she wanted to raise her grandson and they did everything they could to discredit my new granddaughter-in-law. It didn't work. She is a very good mother and has trained her son well.
The paternal grandparents assumed my granddaughter did not have the financial resources to fight. They did not count on her new family stepping up to help plate to help financially or on our being willing to co-sign for her.
Jon was able to work around all of the issues and establish a reasonable visitation schedule so the boy could enjoy both sides of his family and the child support is a reasonable sum.

Chris Rusca has worked my very difficult child custody case for over 6 months now. He has gone above and beyond, and has thought outside the box with our very unique case. He is extremely professional and while he is supportive, he is also very realistic and keeps the best interest of the child at heart while utilizing his knowledge of the legalities in child custody proceedings. He actively listens to concerns and advocates for his clients. Furthermore, in my on-going and complex case, communication was always fluid. He informed me of any new updates from the other party and their attorney and he also followed up with me for clarification if there were any gray areas. If I had any questions or concerns, his secretary was immediately available and he would always get back to me either immediately if he was available, or very shortly after, if in court. I am extremely confident that child custody cases are in good hands with him as the attorney and very much appreciate his professionalism and diligence through this very stressful process for me as a parent going through this child custody litigation. I hired Karen to assist me with with my child custody matter and she was so helpful!!! Prior to her, I made the mistake of seeking legal counsel elsewhere and literally got take advantage of by the previous attorney so when I went to her I was skeptical and scared and let her know upfront and she was understanding and empathetic and was straightforward with me about my case and in the end I pretty much got what I was asking from the court, even though my mediator was a total nightmare. I’ve continued to refer friends to her and they have had the same experience. I highly recommend her, she is trustworthy, honest, and really knows her stuff. Not to mention whenever I call or text she responds right away and the previous attorney I had was difficult to get a hold of.

I hired Derrick Taberski for my divorce. He helped me win spousal and child support. I was awarded more support than I even expected to get. He also helped me get a judgment for my Ex to pay a good portion of my legal fees. Derrick is very detail oriented. He comes to court prepared and has all the documentation ready and available to give to the judge. When my Ex would not provide any proof of income Derrick sent a subpoena to his employers and got all the necessary information. When my Ex would not provide proof of bank accounts Derrick sent a subpoena to his banks and found several thousands of hidden dollars. Beside the money aspect, Derrick helped me with physical custody of my children. He had it put in writing who the children live with and what the visitation would be so that there were no questions regarding this issue before the divorce was final. Derrick has always made himself available to me when I felt I needed help or advice either in person, by phone, or text, or email. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

Where do I begin? I hired Lindsey to help me with child custody/child visitation and couldn't be happier with her services. She is an affordable family law attorney. When my husband explained that he wanted a divorce, I was concerned about hiring an attorney. My perception was that the attorney's goal would be to escalate the situation in order to produce more billable hours. This was not at all the case with Alexis. I knew immediately after our first meeting that I wanted Alexis to represent me. I was not without culpability and Alexis did not judge me. She gave me many options and thoroughly explained all costs. The new client packet even details how to avoid accruing attorneys fees with how you conduct yourself in the process. Alexis definitely had my interests and my child's best interest at heart. I achieved my child custody goals by taking her sound advice. I also appreciated that Alexis and her paralegal, Shana, always responded to me promptly and did absolutely everything they said they would do. All paperwork was filed on time and was completed accurately. This was not true of the opposing counsel. I cannot imagine what it would be like to go through such a difficult experience with an attorney that was not as knowledgeable and supportive as Alexis. I highly recommend Alexis Thodas to any person that is faced with the difficult reality of divorce.

Alex is absolutely amazing. He has been working on my divorce case since January, when I fired my second attorney. Alex picked up very quickly, initially his retainer was reasonable but not extremely cheap, however as things went on it was clear he was certainly not charging me in the same fashion as my second lawyer, and even quite better than my first lawyer.
In my experience, Alex is not the type to charge you for one three minute e-mail a 15 minute fee, beware of lawyers doing that! I felt Alex will combine multiple short e-mails into one 15 minute fee, and frankly with me at this point I don't even think he's charging me that. The same goes for phone calls, and he will get back to you in reasonable time.
What impressed me most about Alex is this, if he did not know the answer to something, he would tell me he did not know and he would tell me he would not charge me for researching it to find out that answer. He spent his own time looking up things he didn't know not charging me so he could practice law! You know how amazing that is these days with a lawyer. Alex went on to say that he liked my case because it had a little bit of everything and he could learn from it. My previous experience was people not checking on anything and telling me bad information. Especially my first lawyer, she would use words like that's my understanding. Why am I paying her 200+ an hour to tell me that's my understanding.
It is my opinion that I can assure you nothing like that would ever happen with Alex Zarin.
Alex took over just before the MSC, he immediately found a change in the law regarding military retired pay that my second lawyer did not pick up on. The change was crucial, thank you Alex. So all the advice I was receiving on that issue from the previous attorney was based on outdated information, Alex is that good, he picked up on the change in hours and I spent over 5000 on my previous attorney for outdated information on that issue.
Alex is the first lawyer of the three who I felt truly cared about my situation, he did not judge me, or perhaps judged me the way an old friend from your crazy days would, for sure we clicked.
Trust me, you want Alex on your side. I've had three lawyers on this case. The others only cared about the money, spewed out bad fax, and didn't bother to look things up charging me for everything they could. Alex is extremely smart. He can look at bank statements and other items and put things together, trace things back, he is sharp and quick like I've never seen. In the MSC he did not let anything get by, and was able to enter into the agreement that the parties agreed spousal support did not meet the marital standard, he worked it in last minute, a very good thing to have in the agreement from my point of view making modification more difficult.
If I had met him in the beginning, before I had spent approximately $17,000 on the first two attorneys, I would have saved a fortune and come out much better off. From my heart I truly believe that to be true. Take my advice, if he's available hire him.

I received RFE for I-130 petition filed by my wife. There were a lot of discrepancies in supporting documents. Some advised me to go for DNA testing. Gina, sorted the matter diligently, explained me clearly the issue, charged reasonable fee and filed the RFE response. Whenever I had questions, she would eventually get back to me. I highly recommend her. I got approval from USCIS within a month.

I have an impossible case that had been going on for 8 years. Every legal battle took the fight out of me to the point where no lawyer wanted to take my case. Julia was the only one willing to listen and was able to validate everything that was done to me and how I was feeling. For a long time I felt like not was I disappearing from my daughter's life, but I was slowly being erased in every other aspect of my life. Julia pulled me from the very bottom of the pit and gave me not just the courage, but took my weakened weapons and branded it her own to use to defend in court against my vindictive ex. I have never met anyone that went through the lengths that Julia did and even though it looked so bad on my part, she gave me hope that there is a second chance. She wasn't just trying to keep me fighting to win, she was fighting for my daughter as well. Julia went beyond defending me, she extended her knowledge and clean tactics as a way to keep my daughter connected with me so that she could have a healthier relationship with me again. We used Ms. Cooper about five years ago for a child custody issue. She was extremely attentive, did not over charge and kept us in the loop. It was not unusual to receive after hour phone calls with updates. She worked relentlessly and was tough as nails when she had to be. She also kept us grounded. I'll never forget when we were awarded custody she told us, let the non-custodial parent walk out with respect and remember this is ****** child's too. Looking back we can say we handled ourselves in a way we can be proud of because of her fair and balanced compass.

First off, what can I say about Tanya. She is absolutely the best at what she does. She is not only professional, but there for you in these stressful family law situations. Because of Tanya, I was able to settle this very tough dispute with my ex husband and I no longer have to stress about my financial security or child custody as I have two small children. I can also say that my ex husband and I are also getting a long better now because of this settlement.

I reached out to Jennifer Jancosek with Southern California legal solutions because I was looking for someone that would advocate for my mom in a property insurance dispute without litigation. Jennifer is a remarkable attorney and just a wonderful person and I am so fortunate that I found her. Her and her law clerk William are a great team!
In our first conversation she listened so carefully to my concerns and gave me the courses of action and timelines. I was under such tremendous amount of stress for over a year in dealing with the insurance and their various unethical tactics in trying not to pay my mother's property claim fairly that I was literally exhausted and on my final breaths by the time she came on board, but what I loved about her is that she totally understood that and if at times I was not lucid because of that, she was kind and compassionate enough that she totally got that! Within less than a day from when I hired her she had already sent a letter of representation to the opposing party which immediately lifted a huge burden off of my shoulders-- it was literally like she was my angel--- giving me a much needed holiday to advocate on my behalf.

Another attorney at Frudden and Padilla referred Riena Yu. I needed her for a restraining order, and it was very complicated and kept getting delayed. We worked together for six months. The opposing attorney was disrespectful towards the judge and Ms. Yu, but she remained poised and professional. Ms. Yu stayed by my side even when the case kept getting delayed. I agree with the previous review in every aspect. Sarah is a compassionate and a consummate professional. She knows the law better than any lawyer I know (and I'm a lawyer), and was always available when I needed her. She's less expensive than most and far more competent. I waited a year to get her to represent me and I would have waited more. I had an extremely litigious ex spouse and she remained unflappable and focused on getting what we needed to move forward. She didn't try to make me feel good. She was honest, realistic, and pragmatic. I have referred many friends to her and they have all been extremely happy. As a lawyer myself, I know who is effective and Sarah is a gem if you can get on her calendar.

Sarah Hoover was an impressive attorney as well as compassionate. She was not my first attorney or the least expensive hourly, but she was more knowledgeable and faster than my previous attorney and thus cost me less. She listened. She answered all my emails even on weekends. My first attorney had a lesser hourly rate but almost blew it when she failed at cross-examination and my legal fees were out of control. Sarah was calm and composed...this is who I wanted to represent me. She was a master at cross-examination and depositions...this was so important in my case.
