Ms. Sotiras has represented me in an extremely difficult proceeding for several years. I was referred to Ms. Sotiras by a well regarded Chicago attorney and am deeply appreciative of the work she has done on my behalf. When I made a request for information from WDFLG at the beginning of this journey, I didn't know I was embarking on a 2+ year fight for my future, but Partner Josh Haid (and later Associate Stephanie Powers) immediately eased my fears. Josh was both honest and realistic about what I might encounter after my long marriage to a pensioned city employee, yet confident that I'd ultimately get a fair and equitable settlement. Stephanie soon took over the day to day details of my divorce and together they handled a very unprofessional opposing attorney with the utmost grace. Although we nearly had to go to a trial due to a lack of cooperation from the other side, ultimately we settled and I was awarded what I had fairly requested. I can’t speak highly enough of my experience with Laude & David. As a father seeking a divorce, full custody of my son, and permission to relocate, I was in for an uphill battle—so much so that another local attorney actually laughed at me during our consultation meeting. Britnee is a rock star!! Her skill, tenacity, organization and compassion are beyond stellar. She was exactly what we needed and a gift from God for our family. I had an attorney for almost two years, and he could not get anything done. Zip zero Nothing...
He would never respond to my emails in details, he said he would quit when I asked to bring a family member to our meeting since he was getting nothing done. I wanted someone to see this Bozo at work. He had third grade math skills and looked the other way to keep the billing going..

Katherine Johnson was my attorney during my divorce. I had never needed to hire an attorney before, so the entire experience was very new to me. She walked me through the entire process of the divorce and answered all of my questions. She truly is an advocate for her clients. Her responses were always timely and honest. My landlord tried to evict me for monies that weren't owed to her and because she was in violation of a contract, the judge ordered her to pay me the monies back. I wasnt sure of what would happen when I was so young with only 2 kids then. But Piper was thorough and got the time we needed to move and results that helped us get into another place.
