I interviewed 15+ local attorneys and finally came across Lyndsay. Immediately, I knew she was it. It’s so daunting to put the fate of your future in the hands of one person but Lyndsay made me feel heard and validated my concerns right away. After doing an initial consultation with Lyndsay in regards to a child support dispute, I felt very confident that Lyndsay was the right attorney for the job. The family court system is very subjective and tough to navigate. Lyndsay handled my case like the expert in the field that she is.
In the end, you should pick an attorney that can get you results. Lyndsay presented the merits of my case, worked out a suitable settlement, and ultimately got the results I needed. And she did so, without charging an exorbitant rate.

I highly recommend Knies, Helland & McPherson. Jenni (Helland) did an amazing job. My ex and her attorney were very antagonistic, liked to draw out the process, and did everything they could to drive up legal fees. Jenni was great in understanding what was happening and the likely outcomes or consequences. She avoided emotional arguments, and instead made sound legal ones. More importantly, she advised me when I was making an emotional decision and gave recommendations on what actions I could take that would be legally successful. Having someone in your corner that was willing to tell you what you needed to hear, instead of what you wanted to hear saved me thousands of dollars.
This is not a law firm that will needlessly drive up costs. For example, I was never charged for attorneys fees for anyone Jenni may have consulted with (this is a frequent tactic of less reputable law firms). I was never given a weekly 'update' that created billing hours even if nothing was happening in the case. Jenni never had me make needless discovery requests, subpoenas or motions that are typical and drive up costs.
I had a more experienced and higher hourly rate attorney than my ex, but my ex's legal fees were 30% higher because of all the shenanigans they played.
Jenni will give you the legal experience you need without driving up costs.

I was in a very tough situation. Going into sentencing and my lawyer had just resigned. After reading Ms. Shipley's reviews I decided to give her a call. What an amazing and compassionate lawyer! From the start she was straight forward and honest with me about what was going on while being compassionate and empathetic to my situation. When it came time for my sentencing she did an amazing job with her plea of probation instead of jail time. Though a little pricey for my limited budget it was worth every penny to have Ms. Shipley representing me. I just can't say enough excellent things about this Lawyer other than I wish I had gone with her from the start and maybe justice would have prevailed and my case would have been handled better.

I had the pleasure of working with Ms Virginia Henley Gatz, Esq., during the summer of 2015 as she represented me in post divorce child support negotiations. Divorce processes are difficult, and the subsequent negotiations around parenting and child support are laden with a lifetime of baggage while accompanied by an emotional roller coaster. Virginia was ever the consummate professional and advocate. She remained grounded when I wasn’t and provided honest, clear and concise council. Limited to 4000 characters? Stephanie knows this is going to be difficult.
Ms. Rikeman came into my case late as I was taking care of this myself. Was doing OK but when a couple of other items came up that I knew were going to require something beyond my capacity - I sought out legal counsel and was fortunate to find Stephanie and have her accept my case.
Stephanie is very knowledgable and will pursue your case tenaciously. She has integrity and is absolutely honest - something I thought you only used as a punchline when speaking about an attorney. I was pleasantly surprised to have my faith restored in the legal system and all of that can be attributed to Ms. Rikeman. If you are hiring Stephanie you should be much the same. She will work within the framework of the law. Not that she won't look down every avenue in winning your case but if you are looking for someone that is a little shady ... then there are plenty of those out there. Stephanie will win your case doing what is right and just.
Stephanie is diligent in her work. Don't be surprised to get an email from her at 9:00PM ... on a Saturday. She is a work-a-holic. Sometimes that isn't always a good thing, but considering she is working for you - then it is very good. It is a work ethic you don't often see anymore. It needed to be done so she gets it done. Sometimes that is from 9-5, sometimes that isn't enough. Unlike other attornies that will shrug that off and come in the office the next day or the next week or whenever - don't be surprised when you get that late email.
Very early on Ms. Rikeman made a suggestion for my case that I really questioned. I didn't see that there was much benefit to it and there was an additional cost associated with it as well and I was already short on funds with everything else going on. Even after speaking with the person that she suggested I was still hesitant that it would help my case and there was even the chance that it would hurt my case. In the end I put trust into Stephanie and went with her suggestion - outside of retaining her it was the best decision I made. In retrospect let me simply say this; you are hiring Ms. Rikeman for her knowledge and expertise, take it! She isn't making a suggestion to make someone else money and it damn sure isn't going into her pocketbook. She is suggesting you do something to make your case have a better chance at success. OF course she can't guarantee it always goes as well as mine, but if she didn't think it was a good idea with a higher probility of success then she isn't going to mention it to you.
Now then as far as money and all of that - again I find Ms. Rikeman to be very fair and honest. Her business practice itself is set up well and is absolutely fair in the manner that she has it. I would reccomend though that you hire Stephanie immediately - she is severly underpaying herself. At some point in time she will come to realize what I did quite awhile ago - that she is an awesome attorney and a lot better than the majority of the competition - yet the competition charges significantly more than she does. I know the explanation she gives and this isn't one of those, "Well for the money she is damn good". The fact of the matter is that she is better than damn good - getting her service for what she charges is the bonus.
Well 254 characters left - I easily have enough to go on for another 4000 characters - Stephanie will know this is true.If you are still looking for an attorney and you have gotten to this point then I have to ask, "What the hell are you waiting on?" Call her now and get this going, make the best decision you are going to make in a long time and be confident in the decision you made.

I interviewed nine attorneys before finding Rikeman Law. Not only did she come highly recommended but she spent a lot of time with me at our consult and all along the way! I really felt like I was included in understanding the laws that affected our family's case and she was always more than thorough in making sure I understood them and my options!
I know divorces are rough on people but I can honestly say, I stopped losing sleep over ours just a few days after hiring Stephanie to handle mine! It was obvious very early on, that she had a ready understanding and quick recall of the facts in our case, was crazy organized and not much got past her! I had been battling for my child support since 2005. Once I hired Ms. Fennick my child support payments started 6 months later. She had to fight with Child Support Enforcement and Social Security. I was not sure what to expect. I didn’t know if their purposed consultation time would enough time. All my notes were taken by an assistant and given to the legal councilor before our conversation so the lawyer was already up to speed when we talked for the first time. I really think their system is refined by their experience and it shows that it’s designed to best help those seeking advice.
Sidney was so kind. Very great at explaining and educating me of my rights and what I can expect in various outcomes. So I may plan my next move with thought and strategy. I had an issue with my wedding videographer. We hired them to film our wedding back in August 2016 and our contract had stated a finished film would be completed by October 31, 2016, It was March 2017 and after countless emails to the person, I gave up and needed some professional help.
I spoke with Brian about my situation. He had me email the contract to him so he could review and told me there was a breech of contract. He offered to call the videographer for me. The next day, Brian sent me an email letting me know that he was able to get in touch with the guy and got him to commit to an ECD as to when the film would be sent to me.
Brian checked in on me a few days after the film was due to make sure I got it. I was not happy with the final product from our videographer and talked to Brian about possible steps I could take if I wanted to sue him. After some advice I got from Brian, I decided the damages were too little for me to sue and stress out about.
Brian was very helpful and supportive throughout the entire ordeal. He was easy to work with and provided great advice.
