Megan McGrath handled my collaberative divorce and I highly recommend her. She was professional and compassionate through the entire process and really helped get me to stable ground and a fair distribution of assets, after a fragile and emotional beginning. I'd recommend her for the collaberative process, like I went through, but I also saw that she has the ability to be a much more fierce advocate if in litigation, as well. Alicia was the best decision I could have made for my separation/child custody case. She is respectful, honest, optimistic, compassionate, and an ace in the courtroom. She knows family law extremely well, and while attempts to reach mutual agreements with both parties, is not intimidated with taking it to court when needed.
Alicia is a big proponent of Fathers' rights, which is the primary reason I sought her out. She believes in fairness and understands that men still tend to get the bad end of the deal in many cases. Without going into specifics, when it looked like I had little hope, Alicia completely turned everything into my favor unequivocally. I can't say enough for what she did and how she handled my situation. Entering the courtroom and going before the judge and opposition, we felt more like a team then as attorney/client. She is not afraid to battle for what is right and has my utmost respect. I owe her much gratitude and cannot say enough about her or the impact she had on my life. I now consider her a friend and would whole heartedly recommend her to anyone needing a family law attorney. More specifically, fathers who have been wronged or just want fair & equal treatment.

I highly recommend Attorney Mogel! I have hired him several times over the past nine years. Greg is an outstanding attorney and deserves 5 stars! He has compassion in his approach and will give rational advice to reduce the cost of your legal fees! He went out out of his way and drove to office just to meet me on 'snow days' when the entire town was shut down. He helped me during the mediation process with the mediator as well as helped me tap into spouses pension accounts that I had never looked into. Greg is just a great guy! Highly recommend him!

...that left me with questions and a feeling of chaos and confusion afterwards, tried to see if I could quickly get a little clarity or when? Was told only after signing the retainer I could set up another appointment!
I was in a most distressed and traumatic state of mind, vented/muttered things to myself about access to justice and prohibitive costs with dismissive treatment, MY OPINION/FEELING, after just being hit with the staggering costs for representation (AND paying $325 for what?).
So Chris said he wouldn't represent me(the audacity to think I would want him to after this kind of treatment is telling) due to his receptionist saying I was verbally hostile towards her, which I absolutely was not and even went out of my way to be polite to her and say goodbye using her name(again I was muttering to myself and towards the wall).

This Attorney did not protect me in Criminal court. He allowed others to violate my Cvil Rights . He definitely was careless and greedy. I definitely should have self represented or found an Attorney that was not judgmental. Just my opinion but please be aware. He also sent me a letter going over everything with several errors in it. It did not make any sense at all!

When I was embarking on a divorce, I found myself in a challenging legal situation, feeling alone and residing in a country far away from my family. After two years of stagnant progress with my previous lawyer, I knew I needed a different approach. My lawyer recommended Jill Blomberg, and that decision turned out to be a game-changer. From the outset, Jill's strategy was brilliant. Switching to Jill's team marked a turning point in my case. She didn't hesitate to take charge, steering us away from a settlement path that wasn't working. Jill, along with Molly and Rachel, took immediate action when we filed. She refused to play the opposing lawyer's game and asserted control, effecting change within months. While she made some decisions that I didn't like at the time, I always ended up learning that it was the right decision. It's obviously her world and she knows what she's doing. I can't help but think that having her from the beginning would have expedited the process.
The significance of trust in your lawyer cannot be overstated, and Jill's team consistently earned mine. Their coordination was impeccable, responding promptly even on weekends, and the balance between Jill's assertiveness and Molly's calmness was effective. When she walked in the court she just had this confidence and presence. When my ex saw her, he hated it which made me love it even more. She taught him a lesson for sure.

After speaking with many lawyers in Connecticut for a year I always came away with the feeling that without $10,000 up front I would never have representation for my divorce. They also didn't seem to understand the issues. Enter Attorney Peter Berdon! The first time I spoke with Peter he immediately understood the underlying issues and was very thoughtful with answering my questions, (I had a lot of them!) he also advised me on new issues that he alone recognized and always made me feel respected during the process. Peter laid out an itemized list of what would happen at court and the cost of each item. This was wonderful as I could plan what would be coming up next. He also agreed to a payment plan. He was completely honest and transparent, which I appreciate immensely! In the end, I didn't have 2 days of court trial and instead Peter orchestrated a great settlement which I could never have done without him! This of course relieved me of any anxiety about my future. I panicked in a situation where it was impossible for me to appear in court In person. I shelled out $500 for 2 phone calls. I should have saved my money. Not because her answers were flawed, but because my question was. Make sure you really realty need an attorney's advice before you punch in their number and debit yourself their time. I've used them before and probably will again. I just have to learn to rely on myself a little more.

Absolute- worst experience. High income divorce case- multiple errors in figuring out taxes regarding alimony- back to court months after filing - not proactive- poor communication- angered if u double checked her work-blew me and court off last appearance although her extension was denied by Judge- when I picked up files at end I had other clients documents in my file - careless. From the time I hired Attorney Dumont and through the preliminary stages to the final award, she was caring, thorough, professional and supportive. She helped me get a restraining order in a domestic violence case. It was a complicated and upsetting situation and she was empathetic and emotionally reassuring. I was hesitant to spend money for an attorney because I was on a tight budget and was already spending a lot of money on other things such as an alarm system etc to feel safe.
