Payman was incredibly thorough on my case. He's responsive with texts/emails/phone calls and advocates for his clients. I was t-boned by a driver running a red light in June 2023 that resulted in a broken pelvis, hip, and 2 vertebrae at 38 weeks pregnant. He worked diligently during a stressful time in our lives to acquire and make sense of all my medical records and bills from multiple doctors/hospital. This required isolating prenatal care from bills due to the wreck. We couldn't have asked for a more competent, tough lawyer!

My divorce has finally ended. Attorney Gersten’s representation, guidance, and ability to walk me through this process was top notch. I had a very contentious divorce, my ex tried to have me put in prison on false accusations. Attorney Gersten was right there on the phone with the detectives keepingme free. In the end we accomplished all my goals in the divorce and feel like the judge truly saw my side of events. Karen’s closing was a perfect summary of how I had been wronged by my wife and my love of my daughter, the other victim in this case. I nearly cried in court. I recently found myself in the middle of a "gray" divorce. 70 years old, married for 13 years to a woman that turned on me. I decided to represent myself in court, defending my pension, Social Security, health care, non marital assets, bank accounts and such. It didn't take long for me to realize I needed a professional consultation as her attorney's proposal was outrageous and would ruin me financially for the rest of my life.
Karen's name was highly recommended by a close friend. A quick email to her office and I scheduled a consultation.
I'm a good judge of people and immediately knew she was the person I wanted representing me. No nonsense or small talk. Straight to the point. Professional and knows the law. I knew she had my back.
Once the dust settled, I was able to keep 90% of what I worked my entire life for. To say I am happy with her service would be an understatement.
Regarding payment, her billing was straightforward and well documented. The entire process cost me much less than I expected.
In short, I would highly recommend consulting with Karen first. You won't regret it.

Attorney Gersten is a top divorce attorney in the area. She did an amazing job and what seemed to be impossible to me a year ago. I went through a very difficult divorce. Before hiring attorney Gersten I interviewed 4 other attorneys and I am glad I chose Karen. She is very efficient and has fair charges and accounting of hours practice. Karen is very knowledgeable and well respected in the court. She always fights to protect interests of her clients, while open to settlement without unnecessary trials if her clients are satisfied with outcome. If presented with challenge, Karen is open to face it without hesitation and do research of precedents to be used in the court. Karen is always confident and has genuine care for her clients. She always comes to the court prepared and ready to protect your interests. Karen is working hard to make sure she provides high quality service. I wish I could give Karen more than 5 starts.

I retained Attorney Shore for a divorce agreement modification. All I can say is WOW. Hands down the best Attorney I have ever hired in my entire life. She is tough, smart, and not afraid to tackle difficult and sensitive issues with a firm and caring hand. I have never seen someone stand up for my rights in court the way that Attorney Shore did. She worked with me out of state, spent long hours on my case, all while she was EIGHT MONTHS PREGNANT. I can not put into words what her representation has meant to me and my family. So….My accident happened in August, I waited a day to get a lawyer, it was my first accident. I never been through any legal matters in my life. I get a big law firm to represent me and they tell me to keep them posted as I go through everything regarding my accident as far as medical treatment, after about 2 months I find out I need surgery. My wife just had surgery so she is out of work and I’m about to be go on leave. The law firm I hired calls me the day of my wife surgery and tell me they can no longer represent me….it took 2 months to get this info. I’m furious but I can’t waste time I need to find a lawyer, I call 5 law firms and 4 get back to me. The first 3 firms I speak to were almost exactly the same, have me explain my case and have me signed up, so they can start, I was losing hope and I get a call back from Ayme Calderon from Law offices of Michael E. Skiber, she was the first to ask me questions, and to give me insight on how cases like mine work. She answered every question I asked, kept me informed on everything going on, and always explained everything to me so I understand everything happening with my case. What began as a tough decision to find representation at a very difficult time, turned into a huge relief that helped me to protect my family's interests and needs. Catherine and her amazing staff helped me every step of the way, from consultation to the final judgement. Catherine was there, at any time, to answer my questions, address my concerns and explain every step of this process. Do not. I repeat do NOT settle for a subpar attorney when your reputation rests on another mans shoulders. This lawyer knows how the legal system works from a to z and if you are being falsely accused he will fight for you until the end. It’s been 5 years since my divorce. I am finally able to write a review. The entire process was horrible and caused PTSD. Eric and his team made my situation the best it could be. He came in to my divorce as a second atty. First atty that I had for 9 months was horrible. Eric wrapped up my complicated case in 3 months - he was incredible! I am not from this arena of power house negotiating or strategy. I am so grateful he was up against my ex and his atty. He fought swiftly, intentionally and successfully. He understood my abilities and my lack of abilities. He fully read the opposing team and their antics/personalities/“wrong doings” to the max degree. He was emotionally there for me…as I felt scared and weak. Being a stay at home mom is a wonderful opportunity I was afforded in life. I want to start by saying that Attorney Hardy is a caring man who is very knowledgeable of the law. My children and I were going through a rough time. My ex-wife was being unfaithful and walked out. We have three children together who I was caring for, so naturally I wanted custody. At the time, theyalso were struggling as they wanted to permanently stay with me but didn't know what was going to happen. I called Attorney Hardy and let him know what was going on. He was very professional and took his time to walk me through the procedure. I know at times I was a bit impatient because I wanted to know the outcome, but he was always kind and would tell me that there was a process that would take time. Just like he said, it took some time, but at the end, I was able to keep my children, stay in the residence and get child support, which is very important, and quite honestly impressive. I don't think it could've gone any better. I really appreciate James for all his advice, I would definitely recommend him for anything that has to do with the law. This is my story, In 2016 I started my journey at nursing school at Stone Academy in the evening program. I encountered many delays during this time, I finally graduated in the year 2020 instead of 2019. I have been trying to pass my NCLEX from November 2020 until January 2024, I passed. I felt accomplished and all congrats were in order. I applied for a job went through the process but my license keep saying pending on DPH website.
I called the Board of Nursing and the person who answered the phone informed me that my license will not granted until they receive an updated transcript that I graduated from this institution as the one they have on file said withdrawn. The emotions were high when I heard these words my response was how could you have sent me ATT to write my boards for the past 3 years? The backlash was awful, detached and no empathy. She did refer me to call OHE ( Office of Higher Education) to find out if they have the transcript but they did not! Long story short….OHE put me on a list to request an official transcript from Stone Academy, this school stop existing in 2022 and currently have lawsuits.
I decided to higher a Lawyer, I called Keily Mira Law Firm and was connected to Jon. I went in the office, I explained my case but he never had a case like mine. He got the understanding and decided to take my case, he was also hitting close doors! I gave him all the information for him to work with, when I thought getting a Lawyer would perform a miracle, I felt frustrated and overwhelmed. Jon reminded me that he is working on my behalf and he is my ADVOCATE, I would have to be patient because it wasn’t an easy task.
OHE placed my name on a list to receive my official transcript, even though a copy was sent wouldn’t be enough, on 2/20/2024. I emailed OHE 2 weeks ago to find out if there were any updates the person responded to me yesterday 4/18/2024 “as of right now there hasn’t been any updates and I have escalated your case”. I forgot to forward this email to Jon yesterday, I was rushing to work. While I was at work yesterday my phone rang and I saw that the call was coming from Jon’s Office.
He was excited too, He said your license is in your inbox, I was thinking this is too good to be true but he kept saying it. I started crying on the phone, He insist I check and so I did. I couldn’t see from my eyes being filled with tears. I said where is it coming from and he told me and I saw it! Awwwwh what a relief Jon has been working behind the scenes while I was being patient, Jon was definitely my advocate! I am forever grateful, I am now moving forward with my life to make a better living for myself and my family. I cannot thank you enough! You didn’t turn me away. Thank you! Thank you!

I recently spoke to John Mager about retaining him to represent me for my custody case. I was highly recommended to him by another top attorney that represented my friend in another area of the state. John was not able to take my case because the courts dates conflicted with his schedule, but John was extremely compassionate and spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me (and I concluded the call, not him, he seemed as if he would stay on the phone as long as I needed, even though I know he was very busy with other cases) , providing me with advice on how to find another attorney, and gave me some recommendations on who to call. I was really impressed with how kind John was to spend this time helping me just out of the kindness of his heart. It is such a difficult task to find a good attorney, so I wanted to offer my advice since I have done some homework on this, and what I can say is that the attorney that referred him has excellent results in Stamford courts and he wouldn't have recommended John if John wasn't great with this area of the law.

Attorney John Mager helped me with a boyfriend who became abusive and began to stalk me. He quickly put an end to it. He stated, "I don't think you will hear from him again." I didn't. I also used Attorney Joe Mager for a closing on a house. He seemed to be extremely busy and it was hard to get ahold of him, but everything was done correctly and I had no problems.
