It’s been 5 years since my divorce. I am finally able to write a review. The entire process was horrible and caused PTSD. Eric and his team made my situation the best it could be. He came in to my divorce as a second atty. First atty that I had for 9 months was horrible. Eric wrapped up my complicated case in 3 months - he was incredible! I am not from this arena of power house negotiating or strategy. I am so grateful he was up against my ex and his atty. He fought swiftly, intentionally and successfully. He understood my abilities and my lack of abilities. He fully read the opposing team and their antics/personalities/“wrong doings” to the max degree. He was emotionally there for me…as I felt scared and weak. Being a stay at home mom is a wonderful opportunity I was afforded in life. But a divorce process is extremely intimidating to this inferior position.
When there is a sense of no control or ability to access family money-this feels like drowning.
Eric was a gentleman and moved with professional integrity while being challenged with extreme undue stress from the opposing team. If you feel like an underdog-you need Eric-I can only speak from that vantage point.

If there was a 100 star option I would leave it for Janis and her staff.
Janis helped me through a 2 year battle with my now ex-husband regarding both custody and finances. Janis wasn’t just my divorce attorney throughout all this, she was a coach, a therapist, a friend. When things were rough she would get on the phone with me to help make sure I was in a good headspace. She constantly reminded me it was a marathon, not a sprint. I felt taken care of during the entire process.
Not only is she extremely compassionate and caring to her clients but she is also a pitbull when it is needed in the courtroom. She comes well prepared into hearings and trials and has an extensive knowledge not only of family law, but of the Connecticut court systems. It is clear that she is well respected by her peers, the judges and court room staff.
Janis’ staff also goes above and beyond for her clients. Rebekah is always friendly and helpful on the phone and perpetually has a great attitude. Sue does wonderful work for the clients. The office is very responsive to phone calls and emails and does a great job at getting you in to meetings.

What can I say about Laliberte Law, simply put “they just get it”!
I was recommended to Janis by a trusted friend, I quickly discover that Janis personally has three plus decades of experience, solely focus on divorces. It only took five minutes with Janis and her team to know that these folks really cared about what they do and what I had to say. They cared about me as a person, going through hard times, and not just another case.
I came to their office feeling alone and lost, and even a bit scared, in the craziness of it all. We immediately struct up a dialog, Janis was empathic to my situation. She patiently listened to my story, and the facts as I knew them. She never “yessed” me. Janise was engaging from the very start, asking me for more details on key topics, and pushing back on me when I started to stray off track. I met with Sharon for a consultation on a Child Support case. I had been preparing for a few weeks and had documents ready to turn over for a professional to take it and run with in court. Sharon met with me for an hour though I scheduled for 30 minutes. Reviewed my docs and provided invaluable guidance…then sent me on my way to represent myself. I recently spoke to John Mager about retaining him to represent me for my custody case. I was highly recommended to him by another top attorney that represented my friend in another area of the state. John was not able to take my case because the courts dates conflicted with his schedule, but John was extremely compassionate and spent over 45 minutes on the phone with me (and I concluded the call, not him, he seemed as if he would stay on the phone as long as I needed, even though I know he was very busy with other cases) , providing me with advice on how to find another attorney, and gave me some recommendations on who to call. I was really impressed with how kind John was to spend this time helping me just out of the kindness of his heart. It is such a difficult task to find a good attorney, so I wanted to offer my advice since I have done some homework on this, and what I can say is that the attorney that referred him has excellent results in Stamford courts and he wouldn't have recommended John if John wasn't great with this area of the law.

Attorney John Mager helped me with a boyfriend who became abusive and began to stalk me. He quickly put an end to it. He stated, "I don't think you will hear from him again." I didn't. I also used Attorney Joe Mager for a closing on a house. He seemed to be extremely busy and it was hard to get ahold of him, but everything was done correctly and I had no problems.

My husband and I started a custody and child support battle in 2020. After constant bullying from the other parties attorney, we finally had enough and needed someone on our side. Someone who would stand up for us and help us see the light. Emily did that.

Jill represented me on a case in 2010 and again with my divorce in 2020. The 2020 divorce began with me asking Jill for guidance given my suspicions of infidelity on behalf of my then husband. Jill advised me to hire a private investigator whom she had worked with in prior cases. The details from that investigation led to my then husbands admissions of infidelity in a deposition, all in a quick two month time period. Jill pushed me when I needed to be pushed, and guided me on how to live my life with my ex during the divorce process and then the subsequent pandemic. I needed someone strong and powerful on my team to fight for my future and the future of my two small boys.
We are now on the other side of the divorce and I was able to move to another state and have the parenting schedule that worked best for my boys. I would recommend Jill and team to anyone - whether they have questions on "what if" or have a "simple" divorce, or extremely complicated, as mine was. You want Jill on your team!

First of all, Attorney Boni-Vendola is an outstanding lawyer and I give my strongest recommendation.
Attorney Boni-Vendola is my third lawyer for my divorce case, and I only regret I didn't find her earlier. My first lawyer is from a pretty well-known firm and was referred to me by someone I work with. But very surprisingly, she went to the judge's chamber and made a deal on behalf of me against my will (even though I was very clear about what I wanted before she went to see the judge). Furthermore, she pressured me to sign the agreement. Thinking back, I don't think she was ill intentioned, she just wanted to get me divorced as soon as she could and she may not have enough experience for cases like mine. After talking with other professionals, they all suggested me to change a lawyer. With a friend's referral, I started with my 2nd lawyer. He is super nice, but he is very busy and didn't have much time for my case. I had worked with him for a little over a year (COVID made all the divorce cases delayed) and felt very frustrated. That's when a professional recommended Attorney Boni-Vendola.
Attorney Boni-Vendola is a completely different experience! She is very experienced (you will know by the suggestions she gives, how she works with another party and the judges), efficient (never waste your time when speaking with you, and get right to the point), listened to what I wanted and fought on my behalf, would not let me waste money on things not necessary. Most importantly, she was after me for what I should do, not the other way around. Examples include knowing that I wanted the divorce trial to happen ASAP, she filed for objection right after my ex-husband submitted his request to postpone the trial date. I only found out these activities through online notifications altogether with judge's approval to our objection a couple of days later. I really appreciate the way she handled this and her consideration because it would only add my worry if I knew. She also standed on my point of view to think and gave me invaluable advice. Mostly importantly, she did not pressure me on anything.

Stuart has 2 cases for me. In 2009, he handled my car accident case, and kept me informed of everything that was going on with my case. If I was unsure about anything he was talking about, he took the time to explain all the terms that I was unclear about. I never felt like he forgot about my case or that I wasn't getting the attention I needed. He was right there any time there was a new development in the case, I and was immediately informed. He gave me great advice on what was coming, and what to expect. He settled the case and I was very happy with the results!
In 2011, he also handled my child custody case. He fought for everything that I wanted, and made sure that I was happy with the outcome. When I told him I wanted the child support portion to go through the state Child Support Enforcement Division, he was very clear, and expressed to the judge all of the facts that supported that portion of my case.
