I retained Nancy's services back in 2007, during which time I filed for divorce. Going through a divorce is an extremely scary and stressful process. However, I found Nancy to be very knowledgeable in Texas family law. Since my divorce, I have contacted her office on several occasions with questions, etc., and she is always prompt in responding. These human beings will destroy you mentally and emotionally. There are truly genuine attorneys out there and this law firm IS NOT ONE OF THEM.....Vickers Cunningham thought it was wise to show up to our family member's first hearing having not reviewed the entire case information, having not taking the time to have a conversation with her to get to know her and what he was representing, and filing for a form of relief that he knew (or should of known "being a judge") that she did not qualify for. He waisted precious time and never truly fought for us. Initially, all legal advice was communicated to us through his paralegal, Rose Flores, who never shied away from being unprofessional, unkind, rude, and heartless. We were desperate. Prior to meeting with these people, we had read reviews on them regarding racial controversies and unprofessionalism and we were so vulnerable that we decided to give them the benefit of the doubt - all because Rose said what we wanted to hear, not knowing we were really signing for what would come next - disheartening emotional and mental stress coming from unprofessionalism, being spoken to like we were uneducated, meaningless human beings, being unable to get questions truly and genuinely answered with patience, and being ultimately betrayed. We only thought we knew what the true meaning of an emotional roller coaster was until we dealt with these people, then we really knew. Rose played out every scenario and nothing she said was. She spoke as she knew the ins and outs. The truth is - they never had the knowledge enough to deal with our case. Our family member's case was a very tough one - that we knew. But had they just had the professionalism, the humanity, and the kind hearts to say "this is beyond our expertise", we would have respected them and had searched elsewhere. Many other attorneys told me it was a case they knew they could not deal with. Rose said - "we do this everyday". And then they went into the hearing clueless, unprepared, and applying for a relief she never was going to qualify for - so did they truly do it every day?...I would never wish bad upon these people despite all the hurt they caused our family and all they ripped away from us financially, mentally and emotionally, but I hope that they learn from their mistakes and strive to become better human beings....God wasn't going to let what they put us through be the end of our story - our attorney to follow stepped right in, being God sent. She was extremely knowledgeable, caring, passionate, genuine with a true fighting spirit. Mr Vickers ended his last conversation with my family member in saying there was nothing he could do for her, she would have to hope that she was granted a voluntary departure and when she asked him if "this meant she could never return to her children again", he responded with "If Joe Biden wins...". They had our case for 6 weeks and accomplished nothing but heartaches. Our attorney now had the case 6 weeks and fought and won in 2 different county courts for us, a criminal and an immigration case. Today - we have our family member home and in an even better legal position than she ever was. All this to say - Vickers and Rose destroyed our trust in attorneys, but God sent the right person to fight for us, to win, and to restore our hope and trust. If you do hire these people and they destroy you (I hope it's not the case), don't give up!! Someone out there can and will fight for you!!

Paulette Mueller made my grandmothers estate go broke, made her delinquent on her taxes (simply did not file) cancelled our homeowners insurance and accepted only roughly 8k on a full coverage 250k+ policy which has led to black mold growing in the home my grandparents built by hand making my baby very sick. Made disgusting remarks about our home upon inspection in regards to a guardianship proceeding while we remained polite and courteous despite the situation, and now, at the ripe age of 21 I am in therapy full time over the horrific consequences she and (others involved) caused that have now fallen upon my shoulders. I am utterly disappointed, and heartbroken. I will never be the same. My grandmother died in vain, under ungodly amounts of stress. May God guide Paulette to have a heart full of empathy and compassion towards her future victims. Only the Lord knows the amount of trauma and havoc she reaped on my beautiful grandmother. May God guide her to remain in a mindset of kindness, and fairness, as I wouldn’t wish this turmoil on anyone. But as my grandmother would want me to live, I forgive her. I only hope for her growth and progress in a positive direction for the future. I. Will. Never. Be. The. Same. I am gone. At the age of 21, I am now a shell of who I once was. The person that raised me from diapers, put me into college, got my first car, carried herself in such a generous and Godly manner, died in vain. May God rest her beautiful soul, because now her pain and stressors have become an everyday part of my life. The only human beings that loved me unconditionally, my grandparents(parents), are now dead and gone forever, and I am alone in this scary world. I hope Paulette can see my review as more than a mere critique but an insight to my new reality, and hopefully, some of what I said will invite a new presence of good faith to her future clients, not only for the benefit of them, but for her conscious as well. I was just a kid. God, what did we do to deserve this?

I hired with a cut rate deal that could not be remembered. I was in a bad position and it seemed that she wanted to help me out. I paid what was asked when it was asked. I could have gotten more and was informed AFTER payment that more was required and she did not even realize that the payment had been received until i finally got a hold of her. She then agreed to continue the litigation. She never did... I tried contacting her afterwards and was not responded to. She changed offices and did not inform the courts (They are still not informed... so any forwarded mail is from Dallas County is not being received by her and sent back). Due to these actions, the custody battle i was in was Dismissed for Want of Prosecution. This resulted in my wife being able to stay in another state and seek litigation against me FROM that other state half the country away. She was not even aware this had happened until I asked her how and why several months later because /I/ saw it in public records trying to review my case to do something more... Now it's too late and everything is lost and the money i spent did nothing at all... I would give 0 stars if it were an option. I have all of this documented and sent to the Bar for these actions over e-mails and text. This is the first time i've ever written a bad review over someone / thing because i understand there can be issues and problems that arise and need worked out... It was the utter lack of communication, incompetence to even remember basic information about what she was hired to do and over all complete incompetence to perform her own duties to the court itself that left her unaware of the situation that leads me to this... if anyone else is in a similar circumstance and action is not being taken on your case. Review your case and find out if it's been dismissed on your own or any other action is being taken. Without addresses being updated, the courts have no method of contacting her and this was verified by another attorney and our court.

My husband and I hired Ms. Wright in January 2016 for a 2 in 1 case! We hired her for the termination of my daughters biological father rights and adoption by stepparent my husband. Our case was a bit of a struggle during the starting and middle process of it, we had a little bit of communication struggles but never any doubts about our attorney Susan! Of course anyone going through this process knows its not going to be easy and will take time, I sometimes forgot that but only because I didn't want any mishaps on any side of this case! And welllll lets just say, in all honesty I am a person who likes to be in control!! And lets face it in this type of situation not anyone person is in control only the judge!!! In the end everything went as planned, the biological fathers rights were terminated and my husband finally got to adopt his baby girl on 3/1/2017!! A little over a year, yes but that includes everything in between that comes up and that is unexpected in a process like this. I do believe Susan Wright is a wonderful attorney and truly knows her way around the court room. Very open and honest!!! We would definitely recommend her and would use her again with no second guessing if needed for anything regarding family court for our other 2 children! Thank you again Susan for everything..

Ms. Wright is an excellent family law attorney who handles high conflict/toxic divorces and peaceful ones, as well custody matters. He went behind my back and drew up an illegal custody arrangement with my ex and pretended to be a non biased attorney "just making sure it was legal". He took away my basic rights as a parent. I was denied even standard order posession when our agreement was supposed to be 50/50. He then screwed me out of $3500 trying to fix his original mistakes because my ex refused to pay him anything even though he was her attorney. I only agreed because I desperately wanted time with my kid. He never filed the modifications. Then laughed in my face when he told me he used his wife Sasha, (who is also his paralegal) as the "psychologist" to clear my ex after she called and told our son she was going to blow her brains out and he would never see his mother again. His wife use to work at Arlington schools as a counselor, not sure how she is qualified to clear a suicide attempt in a custody case. They hid this information falsely under HIPPA rules. My poor kid has seen his mother shoot a gun at me, and dealt with a slew of psychological BS because of this man and his shady practices.

Mary McKnight and I met at the lowest point in my life, recommended highly by a colleague attorney that got thrown off my case for BS from my ex. As soon as we met (just weeks after the loss of her own husband) she reviewed my case looked up at me and smiled a smile that I would grow to look forward to for years. I cannot say enough positive comments about Shelly West. No one ever enjoys the thought or process of planning their will and estate. I am no different, but due to a serious personal situation I had to get mine addressed, and quickly. Shelly West!!!! Man what can I say. Shelly and her team of Delayne and Erminia ( I’m pretty sure I spelled her name wrong) are what I call the dream team. From the very moment of consultation to the final court decision I was treated as family. They frequently updated me on what was going on with the case and constantly put my mind at ease. If this shark is in the waters, you better be on his side of the courtroom. Extreme professionalism. Very intelligent. As you explain your situation, he knows the exact thing to do to take care of it. He is on top of things, and you do not have to worry about this law group stalling, forgetting, or losing focus on your case. From the extremely wealthy clients to just average Joe families, Jeff makes you feel as if your case is his top priority. He was very patient with our lack of understanding about some client/lawyer issues, and would always explain things thoroughly. When it comes to strategy and courtroom demeanor, I doubt you will find a close equal in the metroplex. The cost is a bit high for just a regular Joe family, but we knew it was an investment in our kids that could not be overlooked by using an "okay" lawyer. If you want the best, Jeff Anderson is worth the investment. We had another attorney for many years, but we are grateful to Jeff for really helping us understand what the process should actually look like. It is not only that he is a talented attorney, many are, but Jeff has been taking in family law since he was a little boy. I doubt you will find another attorney that knows the law and its niches backwards and forwards like this guy. If you have a case that you just cannot take a chance on...call Jeff.

Yr 1999-Randy successfully litigated in Federal court against DirecTV for refusal to pay service fees on contract.

This was my first offense and they really tried to throw the book at me, I was very lost when it came to the criminal system and understanding it, I was dealing with a felony case, and Cynthia with her brilliant mind and communication skills was able to get it expunged! I was able to make payments through a payment plan after I put the deposit down, and that really helped!
