Incredible work. I went through a divorce thinking simplistic and easy (2020). It became complex. I hired a different attorney from an online found firm, ended firing her, greatest choice made, after I found and hired John Kappel. He made this ongoing case of three and a half years to come to an end with the best outcome, more than I believed to come true. Full sole custody (rights signed by “father”), and a satisfactory judgement, including child support arrearage, with interest. This all signed by attorneys and judge, after John diligently and precisely worked on. He is intelligent and an amazing attorney.

I hired with a cut rate deal that could not be remembered. I was in a bad position and it seemed that she wanted to help me out. I paid what was asked when it was asked. I could have gotten more and was informed AFTER payment that more was required and she did not even realize that the payment had been received until i finally got a hold of her. She then agreed to continue the litigation. She never did... I tried contacting her afterwards and was not responded to. She changed offices and did not inform the courts (They are still not informed... so any forwarded mail is from Dallas County is not being received by her and sent back). Due to these actions, the custody battle i was in was Dismissed for Want of Prosecution. This resulted in my wife being able to stay in another state and seek litigation against me FROM that other state half the country away. She was not even aware this had happened until I asked her how and why several months later because /I/ saw it in public records trying to review my case to do something more... Now it's too late and everything is lost and the money i spent did nothing at all... I would give 0 stars if it were an option. I have all of this documented and sent to the Bar for these actions over e-mails and text. This is the first time i've ever written a bad review over someone / thing because i understand there can be issues and problems that arise and need worked out... It was the utter lack of communication, incompetence to even remember basic information about what she was hired to do and over all complete incompetence to perform her own duties to the court itself that left her unaware of the situation that leads me to this... if anyone else is in a similar circumstance and action is not being taken on your case. Review your case and find out if it's been dismissed on your own or any other action is being taken. Without addresses being updated, the courts have no method of contacting her and this was verified by another attorney and our court.

My husband and I hired Ms. Wright in January 2016 for a 2 in 1 case! We hired her for the termination of my daughters biological father rights and adoption by stepparent my husband. Our case was a bit of a struggle during the starting and middle process of it, we had a little bit of communication struggles but never any doubts about our attorney Susan! Of course anyone going through this process knows its not going to be easy and will take time, I sometimes forgot that but only because I didn't want any mishaps on any side of this case! And welllll lets just say, in all honesty I am a person who likes to be in control!! And lets face it in this type of situation not anyone person is in control only the judge!!! In the end everything went as planned, the biological fathers rights were terminated and my husband finally got to adopt his baby girl on 3/1/2017!! A little over a year, yes but that includes everything in between that comes up and that is unexpected in a process like this. I do believe Susan Wright is a wonderful attorney and truly knows her way around the court room. Very open and honest!!! We would definitely recommend her and would use her again with no second guessing if needed for anything regarding family court for our other 2 children! Thank you again Susan for everything..

Ms. Wright is an excellent family law attorney who handles high conflict/toxic divorces and peaceful ones, as well custody matters. I consider her to be a life saver for me because she provided great advice and very responsive to emails and phone calls. He went behind my back and drew up an illegal custody arrangement with my ex and pretended to be a non biased attorney "just making sure it was legal". He took away my basic rights as a parent. I was denied even standard order posession when our agreement was supposed to be 50/50. He then screwed me out of $3500 trying to fix his original mistakes because my ex refused to pay him anything even though he was her attorney. I only agreed because I desperately wanted time with my kid. He never filed the modifications. Then laughed in my face when he told me he used his wife Sasha, (who is also his paralegal) as the "psychologist" to clear my ex after she called and told our son she was going to blow her brains out and he would never see his mother again. His wife use to work at Arlington schools as a counselor, not sure how she is qualified to clear a suicide attempt in a custody case. They hid this information falsely under HIPPA rules. My poor kid has seen his mother shoot a gun at me, and dealt with a slew of psychological BS because of this man and his shady practices.

Mary McKnight and I met at the lowest point in my life, recommended highly by a colleague attorney that got thrown off my case for BS from my ex. As soon as we met (just weeks after the loss of her own husband) she reviewed my case looked up at me and smiled a smile that I would grow to look forward to for years. If this shark is in the waters, you better be on his side of the courtroom. Extreme professionalism. Very intelligent. As you explain your situation, he knows the exact thing to do to take care of it. He is on top of things, and you do not have to worry about this law group stalling, forgetting, or losing focus on your case. From the extremely wealthy clients to just average Joe families, Jeff makes you feel as if your case is his top priority. He was very patient with our lack of understanding about some client/lawyer issues, and would always explain things thoroughly. When it comes to strategy and courtroom demeanor, I doubt you will find a close equal in the metroplex. The cost is a bit high for just a regular Joe family, but we knew it was an investment in our kids that could not be overlooked by using an "okay" lawyer. If you want the best, Jeff Anderson is worth the investment. We had another attorney for many years, but we are grateful to Jeff for really helping us understand what the process should actually look like. It is not only that he is a talented attorney, many are, but Jeff has been taking in family law since he was a little boy. I doubt you will find another attorney that knows the law and its niches backwards and forwards like this guy. If you have a case that you just cannot take a chance on...call Jeff.
