A coworker that knew I needed a divorce attorney recommended Jan in 2007. I'm Asian and at the time spoke limited English. She patiently listened to my story and assured me that she could help. I suggested having a translator for the court room but Jan told me that she understood me well and that together we would present the case. She turned an impossible situation into a very good settlement for me and my children.
Since then I think of Jan as a friend I can reach out to for any legal needs including my will, healthcare and durable powers of attorney.
Most recently she helped my son with his own child custody settlement.

Mr. Gonzalez and his team were incredibly easy to work with. They handled my case with care and attention, and treated me like family the entire time. The Fact that Farid takes your case with a passion is huge. In this day and age, people tend to care about themselves and don't take others personal life into consideration, he was very understanding, knowledgeable, respectful, patient, and in control of the situation. I had a great experience with Roland Barbosa representing me in my divorce. It's never a pleasant experience to go through the legal process of divorce, but Roland made it simple and straightforward and provided numerous updates (and answers to my several questions) as I waited for the (long and slow) Dallas County courts to sign the paperwork that had been sitting on their docket for over 2 weeks. An uncontested, amicable divorce should be easy, and despite the draconian Texas laws, Roland helped make the process as easy as it could be. When the divorce decree was finally signed, he gave me an update even before the electronic system registered a change in the case. His fee is straightforward, and he provided all the paperwork we needed for all the potential steps in the case, from initial questionnaire to final filing and special warranty deed for the transfer of the home. I would highly recommend Roland to anyone seeking a streamlined process to divorce in the DFW area.

I contacted Ms Garza to handle a change in custody for one of my two sons, who both lived with their mom after I moved out of the immediate area after said son had issues with his mom's husband. I thought I had a horrible uphill battle ahead of me, until she represented me. Lisa broke it down for me what we could do, and I could tell right away I made the right decision. Her name alone let's the other side know you didn't come to screw around. She is dynamite, aggressive yet personable to her clients, and her associate and office staff are first class. I never had to worry about a phone call or question not being answered or returned. She gave me great guidance, and made suggestions that suited my son and me for now and in the future. She is no non-sense with her approach, and it seems most opposing attorney's are more than willing to work with her toward a mutual solution, but never did she compromise what mattered most to me. I cannot recommend her enough to anyone about to take the monster of divorce on, especially with children involved. I was made to feel like she had no other clients in the world, that I was the only one. I was so grateful I had the opportunity to retain Ms. Garza, and you will be too. She is fantastic to negotiate outside the court room, but if it comes to needing an in court force to be reckoned with, it's Ms. Garza.

All thanks to Mr. Pete Schulte! Never having been in a predicament with the law, I was incredibly sacred and nervous when I walked into Mr. Schulte's office for my initial meeting. However, I walked out feeling relieved. He assured me of his goal to have my case dismissed, all while making it clear what to expect in any event. And thereafter all communication was very prompt and direct. Due to Covid my case was pending for a long period, but Mr. Schulte never failed to personally provide a quick response or update. This gave me great peace of mind over the past couple years. And though I was extremely happy to learn my case had been dismissed recently, I was not surprised! Mr. Lake recently represented by boyfriend in his divorce case in which the custody of his daughter was in dispute, and there were some very delicate issues at stake. He went above and beyond in insuring that her -- the child's -- well-being was the priority in the case (compassion). I appreciated his candor in working with my boyfriend and demanding that my boyfriend be upfront with him (integrity). I also appreciated that he represented my boyfriend, but not at all costs and that he continuously directed and redirected him toward what he could realistically expect from the outcome of his case given different potential avenues of action to finalize the divorce and custody issue. His wisdom and years of experience became evident time and time again. At times he (we) felt beat down, but Mr. Lake provided him (us) with words of encouragement and hope and the will to continue when he was ready to give up (fortitude). Even though he was clearly his client during the entire process, he did account for the mother and how she might be impacted by various outcomes (compassion).

Chris Lake walked me through a divorce after my spouse of 40 years suddenly decided to leave our marriage. My first meeting with Chris was difficult because I was still reeling from the shock of all that had happened. Chris did a wonderful job of patiently explaining the legal issues and what would occur over the next few months. Then the conversation took an entirely different turn.
Chris asked how I was doing. He listened intently as I shared how numb I was and how unsettling it was to have an uncertain future. We talked about the emotional abuse I had experienced throughout the marriage because of my spouse's unmedicated bipolar disorder. He told me that the raw pain I was experiencing would dissipate in time and that I would be much happier by this time next year. He offered me hope and encouragement. His sincerity was undeniable and his kindness was so touching.
Chris gave me his cellphone number at our first meeting and told me to call him day or night if I had any questions or concerns. He stayed in contact with me and copied me on every correspondence with opposing counsel. I never had to wonder where things stood. He actively involved me throughout the entire process.

Yianna has been my attorney for several years. Throughout those years, she has had my best interest in mind and kept me grounded with what will truly unfold in court. She hears me when I voice what I want and how I feel. She communicates promptly and effectively, which is very important to me with an attorney. I also feel she does not take advantage of billing like other attorneys have in the past.
