When my ex and her new paramour found out I'd retained Brad Nace, they went from representing themselves to retaining a high-profile family attorney firm (whom I don't wish to further embarrass by naming here). I knew Brad had a great reputation as top-flight attorney, as I've known knew him socially for years. (My ex knew too, btw.) What I did not, and could not yet truly appreciate was what an incredible strategist, nor how unbelievably attentive to detail he is. As badly as I wanted to win my case... I dare say Brad wanted it MORE THAN I DID. Yes, of course we won... but it gets better...
When we finally had our hearing... it felt like a Hollywood director said "Action" and then it was Brad's turn to make an opening statement... hard to describe succinctly but suffice to say, he was on another level than opposing counsel. He absolutely owned the stage er court room and commanded everyone's attention and respect.

He was the first to tell me that my wife was trying to defraud me as she filed for divorce. She was also severely abusing my child at the time too which restricted my ability to understand just how criminal she had become. He also told me that the court doesn't care about child abuse which at first struck me as insensitive. At a certain point during litigation I realized that my ex was guilty of multiple crimes. He was correct about my ex's intentions to not only abuse my child (trying to make me crazy) but also to defraud me / the whole estate. My ex made it away with millions, trusts, businesses, has almost had me killed a few times due to conspiracy crimes, and I haven't been with my daughter (who believes me to be dead) since she was kidnapped for a court sponsored ransom against civil law and federal vra laws in 2017. The maternally abused victim child is now severely damaged, suffering, and cannot speak properly (often times stuttering / stammering) and does not have a steady focus according to insiders due to the ongoing maternal child abuse. Thanks for the heads up about my criminal ex and the court not caring about child abuse! The 255th court does NOT care for their standing orders, maternal child abuse, perjury, fraud, or rico crimes alike. They have been reported to the DOJ about their constructive crimes. Mr. Brad Nace is an honest lawyer who is very intuitive. Honesty is very hard to find in the legal field. 100% excellent lawyer!!!! Have a great one!!!!!

The address for this location is 8150 N. Central Expressway. The way google Maps takes you to is by Klyde Warren Park. Incorrect and stressing. The location is, of course, off 75 exit Caruth. The tall gold glass window is it on the right. The building has 16 floors, I believe. If you need floors higher than 9, take the two elevators closer to Rhino coffee. I wish I'd known all this prior to my 1st appointment at Taylor Counseling. Other than that, I would have given this location a five. Google Maps, fix the directions for this location, please.

Pamela was by far the best lawyer we could have ever had. She represented us from another state, and although we never met in person, I felt as if I knew her as family. Diana has been an excellent advocate for me in a difficult divorce. She has been more than fair in her costs and done a great job for me in spite of significant difficulties with both my ex wife and opposing counsel.
To contextualize the anonymous one star review from Jan 23, it was left by my ex as a result of her frustration that Ms. Weitzel rejected the original version of the divorce decree sent by opposing counsel. She has very good reasons for doing so, and the claim that she was “slow” was absurd; opposing counsel took 5 months to draft a decree that didn’t even match the MSA, and Diana had to redraft an entire new one from scratch—which she did at no further expense to me, in a matter of just a few weeks, in spite of the frustrating situation. If any Avvo employee sees this, please consider removing the Jan 23 review; it was not left by one of Ms. Weitzel’s clients and completely misrepresents her quality of service for her clients.

When Life Happens...There is a Court System that you don't understand and a Judge who is a complete stranger to your situation that gets to decide the fate of the rest of your life. Our case was complicated and it went against the grain of what a Texas Family Law Court traditionally will allow.
Over a period of about 6 long months we met with various "The Best" Family Law attorneys....Most wouldn't even take our case - said there's no way we would win. Others said they could WIN OUR CASE without even hearing one word about it. Then there were a few that said they could get close to what we were asking but not all and it would cost us close to $20,000 or maybe even more.
Custody Case Expert, Attorney Terrence Ridgely, answered our initial call 10 pm at night - while he was out with family. He didn't put us off to the next day during business hours - no he started working on our case right then and there. He didn't just tell us he would win our case - he told us HOW he would. He prepared us for the battle we were about to take on. And took every frantic call, email, and text.

Brook was an amazing consultant in our legal matters regarding a minor in our household. She fought fairly but stood by us and up for us during the entire process. There are few attorneys who would jump in their car and drive 3 hours because they have to file in a court and want to make sure it gets hand delivered and signed. There are even fewer who would make the drive multiple more times for the sake of getting the matter handled quickly and efficiently. The most fair you could ask for in regards to her billing practices and her response time could not be beat. I’m leaving this organization (2) stars. The second star came from you offering my $100.00 back after confirming with me you only work with “rich people” and not single mothers already struggling. The people seem nice and they respond to your concerns quickly….but if you ain’t rich this isn’t the law firm for you. My heart was broken when I begged them as a single mother to please work with me and I promise we could work out a realistic payment arrangement. Mr. Williams explained my case for child support and primary custody could possibly cost more than 4K. They also explained their retainer fees and how you’re billed for every call, text, email, or them touching your case. Lastly, per their organization direct response “I will advise you that if your retainer is depleted or you're retainer account ever has less than $1500, you will be asked to refill your retainer.” I advised them to go have a prayer with God and get back with me if they will accept 4K for my case and serve me as a client. I’m leaving you this long review because I’m an influencer as my side hustle and I want the world to see this and WAKE UP and realize money is the root of all evil! If God assigned you to be a lawyer he is trusting you with that higher level of authority to serve the people at your best ability. It’s 2025, times are hard I hope this is a wake up call for this organization to have a round table meeting and the subject should be “Do we really serve our people”? God bless these rich attorneys. May your money bring you happiness in this lifetime.

I had a very rocky journey after my automobile accidents where I fired 4 attorneys before hiring Luke because the previous ones treated me like a number on their worksheet. Some of them did the wrong work and some of them just did not bother to work on my case at all. I also asked a friend to give me a personal injury referral before Luke and little did I know I was mocked as "a troubled client" for hiring 4 attornies without bothering to understand my circumstance. When I found Luke, he was courteous, sympathetic & professional. He listened to my story and knew exactly how to help me with my situation. What I really liked about my experience with Luke is he kept you informed every step of the way (unlike those 4) and wants you to be involved in the process to ensure accuracy. In addition, he's just a really good person that cares about his clients. It's really heartwarming to know that there are good lawyers out there, even though they are so rare!

Mr. Harris is very personable, approachable and has a good relationship with the courts. This is a plus if you are dealing with sensible soon to be ex’es who want to move on and act like adults. But he is also a staunch, steadfast and passionate advocate when you are dealing with a case like mine.
He is a bull when confronting non-reasonable people. He is no push over. When the other side tried to use coercive tactics, Mr.Harris pushed back! There were periods where I would be in disbelief on how well this Lawyer carried himself !
He is the gentlest yet strongest person I've ever met. He was extremely passionate as he vigorously spoke up to the Court.
Mr. Harris later told me that they were trying to take advantage of me and that he was NOT going to allow that. I was touched.
That was confirmation that he truly cares about his client's and not just your check book.
If you are looking for someone who is looking out for your best interest and willing to actually listen to your needs and your worries during difficult situations, and get results , then this is the right attorney for you. I hired Thayer after I got in trouble returning from Colorado. He got me a great deal! The ordeal was very expensive but you get what you pay for! He got my 1st degree felony down to a misdemeanor which was very important for my career of choice. He is very up front and honest. I've never seen a lawyer maneuver through trial the way this guy does. I was going to hire him as an attorney and decided to sit in on a public trial he was arguing. Holy SHHHHH is this guy good. I never ended up hiring him because my charges were dropped but what I saw this man do in court should be made into a movie. The the Jury ate it up, the judge ate it up, and even the DA ate it up.

Paula Bennett gave me something that I had thought was lost...hope.
she then delivered the results that I thought I couldn't possibly achieve due
to the mess that my case had become: my daughter's life back, free from
a downward spiral of rulings that never should have been put in place.
Ms. Bennett and the firm of Orsinger, Nelson, Downing and Anderson picked up
my case at a time that i was certain that all I could hope for was a "not as bad as the worst",
but was still a horrible disruption to my daughter's life, as well as my entire family's;
essentially hopeless due to a series of events that i would have never imagined
to be possible for me as a single parent that had raised my daughter for her
entire life of 9 years without incident.
I found myself to be in a position of being about to lose half of my time with my daughter,
half of our holidays, and almost all of the peace in our lives. I even made the
mistake of signing an agreement to try to "minimize the damage", out of desperation
and not knowing what else to do. I had given up, because it could only get worse, it
seemed.
Ms. Bennett took on my case even though she was extremely busy, because she did
something a lot of attorneys don't seem to do: she cared. She told me that she
thought there was a solution to my case, when no one else was able to see or find

grateful enough.

My divorce case was fairly simple. It was just about the money. Bill returned calls quickly, during breaks at court, or mediation. Email turnaround was quick also, depending on the complexity of the information and documents to be reviewed and modified thus removing the necessity to meet in person to go over documents time and time again. This was a bonus for me!

We dealt with Bill on a fairly simple, yet unfrequent issue: seller refused to release 15k in earnest money after cancellation of contract. The issue? Paperwork reached seller at 5:06pm instead of the 5:00pm deadline.
I sent Bill copies of all docs, set up chronologically by me. He interpolated with advice and found all possible contract loopholes. Then recommended that I, the buyer, write the seller pointing out the faults of the contract, and that they would likely end up having to release the funds, plus fork-out all additional costs - likely a few thousand each. Worked like a charm. As Tony Soprano would say: baddabim-baddaboom. His final bill wasn't exorbitant either. Def-rec!

Guys ... please don’t do this alone! I started out doing the friendly, no-lawyer divorce. We poked around on the internet, read the law and I was about to give the farm away.
I’m a relatively smart guy and able to figure most things out, but this ... way out of my league. I had a very simple divorce, no minor children, no real assets - only a house, nothing really to "fight" for. I surrendered all the furniture and was trying to be fair.
Bill was great, laid out the facts, applied his experience (don’t underestimate the need to find someone with experience), looked at the whole picture, and talked me off the ledge. I was giving too much.
We ended up going through mediation, Bill was calm and drama free, which seemed to irritated my ex-wife’s lawyer - bonus. Bill was rational and thoughtful with the mediator.
Bill listened when he needed too, asked only the questions he needed, and gave me some great advice. I know consider this an investment that has paid off. I was looking at years of support and contact with my ex-wife. After mediation, that was it. No support, no contact, life is good now.
I highly recommend you at least talking to Bill, see where you stand. Then decide, but you’ll do like I did and move forward with him.

Sally Bybee represented me in a difficult and messy divorce, and I really appreciate the way she helped me get through it. My divorce was one very long emotional roller coaster for me. As a lawyer myself, I was very picky about who would represent me when I needed it most. Like others, I initially made the mistake of hiring a low-cost attorney. And I got what I paid for so I fired him. My next lawyer was much more expensive. More expensive must mean he's a better lawyer, right? No. In fact, not only did he not learn the facts of my file, but the final straw that led to his firing just before mediation was that he didn't even take the time to learn my kids' names. With mediation looming I found myself without a lawyer so I called Marie. Marie was a study partner of mine in law school so I was initially hesitant to share so much of my personal story with her. But I quickly realized that was an unfounded concern because Marie has been nothing but professional, discreet, sensitive and caring and all while doing a fantastic job of representing my interests as good, or better than anyone else had before - especially that expensive lawyer!

Before I learned about Calabrese Huff through an attorney friend, I had hired four different attorneys to handle my case involving child custody and visitation. When I met Dawn, I knew I had found the right person. I hired Dawn immediately because she impressed me in consultation with her intelligence, kindness, care and wit. She was the first lawyer who I felt from the beginning believed me and had confidence in me.
Dawn is lovely, kind-hearted, witty, intelligent and funny. I felt very comfortable talking to her. I needed someone who would bring lightness to the situation; it helps in this kind of matter to have someone who can make you laugh. At the same time, I knew my case required someone who was not going to be fooled by the opposing party’s lies and manipulations, someone who would go directly for those lies and expose them.
