Call is picked up by somebody that is making sure I know that he doesn’t want to be answering the phone (weird they would apply for such a position) and I state that I have a military related legal matter. The guy on the phone instantly responds by telling me that they don’t do military law. Contrary to the Google search, all the reviews, the entire website, and all of their social media presence… they apparently DO NOT DO MILITARY LAW. Mind you, I was never asked to explain my case or what sort of outcome I was looking to reach. Just begrudgingly answered the phone and told me, with no knowledge of my intentions, that they don’t do the only thing they advertise. Fantastic. Updating to address his response. They can’t take my case that I have never described to them because they want to play around with the semantics of my choice of words. My (a person with no law background) words that I used when reaching out for assistance with… law. They recommended small claims court on the phone but small claims court caps at $7,000 rather than a half million. Anyways. This guy really said “21 a day? Let’s pump those numbers.”

I’m leaving this organization (2) stars. The second star came from you offering my $100.00 back after confirming with me you only work with “rich people” and not single mothers already struggling. The people seem nice and they respond to your concerns quickly….but if you ain’t rich this isn’t the law firm for you. My heart was broken when I begged them as a single mother to please work with me and I promise we could work out a realistic payment arrangement. Mr. Williams explained my case for child support and primary custody could possibly cost more than 4K. They also explained their retainer fees and how you’re billed for every call, text, email, or them touching your case. Lastly, per their organization direct response “I will advise you that if your retainer is depleted or you're retainer account ever has less than $1500, you will be asked to refill your retainer.” I advised them to go have a prayer with God and get back with me if they will accept 4K for my case and serve me as a client. I’m leaving you this long review because I’m an influencer as my side hustle and I want the world to see this and WAKE UP and realize money is the root of all evil! If God assigned you to be a lawyer he is trusting you with that higher level of authority to serve the people at your best ability. It’s 2025, times are hard I hope this is a wake up call for this organization to have a round table meeting and the subject should be “Do we really serve our people”? God bless these rich attorneys. May your money bring you happiness in this lifetime.

This law firm I still believe is a good firm to represent your case. Although, I tried to retain them most recently. My review is regarding the intake staff personnel Sarah. Sarah’s professionalism, communication, and ability to listen and assist a client is subpar. First call, I specifically asked for a particular attorney, she then suggested another attorney. Due to them moving into the Dallas office the next day, she advised to give her until the following week for someone to contact me. I was patient and in that waiting time, decided I would go with her suggestion as the Dallas attorney was more affordable, closer, and honestly had stronger credentials. Never got the follow-up call. I called and she only kept trying to redirect me. There were some back and forth and I ended up requesting for one of the Managing Partners to respond to a specific request. Guess what, she follows up without ever asking but comes back with a generic response. Keep in mind, this is after waiting another week for the MP to return. I had to wait for her to go back to ask the original request. Long story short, her mannerism doesn't display trustworthiness, but a person who appears to want to do her own thing. I still don’t believe she communicated properly to the MP. It appears that she may not have the client nor the firms' best interest in mind. In my opinion she doesn’t need to be at the forefront when she has created weeks of delay and roadblocks, and she was made aware that I was referred by a reputable friend of this firm.

When the time came for the inevitable custody battle I was so scared, frustrated, and full of emotions but luckily I found Jennifer Goldman. She is strong, kind, and looked out for our best interest. My wife and I retained Ms. Goldman to help us in obtaining guardianship (aka Conservatorship) of our godson. It was a very detailed and unusual case, involving coordination with Juvenile Justice and serving papers to a very unwilling party. All thanks to Mr. Pete Schulte! Never having been in a predicament with the law, I was incredibly sacred and nervous when I walked into Mr. Schulte's office for my initial meeting. However, I walked out feeling relieved. He assured me of his goal to have my case dismissed, all while making it clear what to expect in any event. And thereafter all communication was very prompt and direct. Due to Covid my case was pending for a long period, but Mr. Schulte never failed to personally provide a quick response or update. This gave me great peace of mind over the past couple years. And though I was extremely happy to learn my case had been dismissed recently, I was not surprised! Mr. Lake recently represented by boyfriend in his divorce case in which the custody of his daughter was in dispute, and there were some very delicate issues at stake. He went above and beyond in insuring that her -- the child's -- well-being was the priority in the case (compassion). I appreciated his candor in working with my boyfriend and demanding that my boyfriend be upfront with him (integrity). I also appreciated that he represented my boyfriend, but not at all costs and that he continuously directed and redirected him toward what he could realistically expect from the outcome of his case given different potential avenues of action to finalize the divorce and custody issue. His wisdom and years of experience became evident time and time again. At times he (we) felt beat down, but Mr. Lake provided him (us) with words of encouragement and hope and the will to continue when he was ready to give up (fortitude). Even though he was clearly his client during the entire process, he did account for the mother and how she might be impacted by various outcomes (compassion).

Chris Lake walked me through a divorce after my spouse of 40 years suddenly decided to leave our marriage. My first meeting with Chris was difficult because I was still reeling from the shock of all that had happened. Chris did a wonderful job of patiently explaining the legal issues and what would occur over the next few months. Then the conversation took an entirely different turn.
Chris asked how I was doing. He listened intently as I shared how numb I was and how unsettling it was to have an uncertain future. We talked about the emotional abuse I had experienced throughout the marriage because of my spouse's unmedicated bipolar disorder. He told me that the raw pain I was experiencing would dissipate in time and that I would be much happier by this time next year. He offered me hope and encouragement. His sincerity was undeniable and his kindness was so touching.
Chris gave me his cellphone number at our first meeting and told me to call him day or night if I had any questions or concerns. He stayed in contact with me and copied me on every correspondence with opposing counsel. I never had to wonder where things stood. He actively involved me throughout the entire process.
I don't know what I would have done without Chris during all those months of uncertainty. He was my kind and patient encourager all the while being a formidable foe to opposing counsel when difficult situations arose. I knew Chris always had my back and that was priceless. He remained professional even when opposing counsel did not. He brilliantly resolved the difficult issues and settled the divorce with the best possible outcome.
I am so very proud to call Chris Lake not only my attorney, but also my friend. If you have the opportunity to hire him as your attorney, do it. He is simply the best!

If I could give a no start it would be that.
This law firm company came HIGHLY recommended by my family and they knew I had never been in this situation. They said they were so amazing with them and wanted us to have a great experience. I will say, since we started this process with this firm, we have been ignored. We signed a fee agreement and other things long long ago. I asked for out case to be closed 2 entire months ago, and they "dropped the ball"-- means they forgot. You would think to make a massively high profit, pretty much more than us just to request records and make a demand-- no matter what we go through personally and need the funds more- they did not care or even try. So sad. I put more work in to my own case and still got nothing. So unless you have time to email constantly (they do not return phone calls) choose someone else.
