Through what was a painful, frustrating and difficult time, Gayle was such a calming presence who I always knew had my back. She took the time to get to know me and to understand my perspective and priorities. I never doubted for a second that she was working hard on my behalf and doing everything she could to achieve the best outcome for me. Gayle has provided excellent legal counsel to me over the past years. Though my outcome legally was favorable, I want to say I would still recommend Gayle even if it was not. She is realistic and transparent about the legal realities and proceedings of the court, often something I do not see professionally with attorneys who promise the world and string someone along. When children are involved - especially when the safety and care of those children - it is a challenge for a loving parent to see anything but red. Amy's calm guidance and understanding of process, law and advocacy has been incredible.
I'll add that while some attorneys seek frivolous actions or motions to pad their fees, Amy's careful stewardship of not only the individual but the funds which go to support the children in question is commendable.
Amy is a superlative and in my highest regard.

Francesca “Chessie” Morgan crossed my path quite by chance. One of my domestic violence advocates said, “It’s one in a million chance, but call this number (Colorado Legal Service). I called. And Chessie entered my life. Almost daily for nearly two years.
Despite my permanently moving to a rural, out-of-state mountain village with oh-so intermittent cell and internet reception, Chessie consistently gave that extra effort necessary for safe and equitable solutions.
What could have been resolved quickly took months. And months. And more months. Chessie skillfully negotiated with my contentious now ex … and his opposing counsel. Matt Walker represented me for 3 misdemeanor DV charges in Jefferson County. He heard my case and told me not to take the plea deal. With his help my case was Dismissed before trial.
Matt was there to walk me through every step. If I needed him he was always just a text away and would call as soon as he was available.
He suggested to meet as the trial got closer, not to go over anything but to calm my nerves as this was my first time in any sort of trouble.
He never made me feel rushed and listened to all concerns. He is also a huge LGBTQ advocate which for my case was essential.
I can’t recommend Matt enough and will forever be thankful for him and know if I ever needed counsel again he’s there.

I called Matt about a dispute with my neighbor who had mailed me a letter threatening legl action. Matt met me for coffee the same day I called him. When we met, he reviewed my letter and other documentation. Then he actually called the neighbor on my behalf, while I sat there, and worked everything out. It was amazing. When I offered to pay Matt for his time--he pointed out that he had only spent about thirty minutes to resolve my issue--so no charge. Matt is real and Matt is awesome.

Originally I started with a lawyer where when we showed up to the first court appearance the Judge shut us out didn’t let that attorney speak, and didn’t want to hear anything she had to say! I’m so glad she chose to transfer the case to Jessica Lasky. This amazing attorney came in like super woman throwing blows to the entire court system. Working with Linda was incredible. I was at such a vulnerable place in my separation, and Linda made this so much easier. Obviously, no one wants to get divorced, and I was particularly shocked and emotional throughout the process. The most remarkable quality Linda had was just making me feel validated. She listened to me, was comforting to me, gave realistic solutions, and treated me with such kindness and empathy. She would take the time to ask about my daughter, my friends, my job, just because she cared and genuinely wanted the best for me. I’ll never forget how touched that made me feel, and is something I would never expect of an attorney. But she was more than a lawyer to me - instead a guiding force. I appreciate how she treated me like a person first - a friend, even, and how that made me feel more level headed to take on the divorce process with gusto.
Additionally, Linda was professional and fantastic at her job. She kept cost considerations in mind the entire time which was extra nice. Linda was always professional, had knowledge of the legal system that opposing counsel didn’t even seem to have, and always spoke honestly with me. She found solutions, got creative with me, and had my back through many frustrating situations in the divorce process.
I would absolutely recommend Linda to anyone getting divorced. For me, it helped that she wasn’t dissimilar to me - friendly, young, a motivator for other women, and at times even funny. :) She made the legal system accessible for me: someone who had never thought she would be in this situation.

Linda was wonderful to work with, very professional, and informative. Her work ethic proved to be a great help in my case. She was always fast to reply, and never left anything hanging. We can all agree that divorce is a pretty terrifying thing. And the day day I walked into his office I was exactly that- terrified.
