I am writing to express my highest recommendation for Mr. Green, who provided exceptional legal representation during a challenging period in my life.
In July 2024, I was cited for reckless driving with a recorded speed of 55/96 by an officer on Access Road, VA. The gravity of the situation left me deeply concerned about the potential impact on my employment record, rental agreements, financial stability, and security clearance. The stress from this situation was overwhelming and affected my daily life, including my sleep.
Fortunately, through a community connection, I was introduced to Mr. Green by one our community member in VA, that he had the same case, 55/95 and his case has been dismissed by Mr. Green represented in the court in May 2024. I watched Mr. Leiva go way above and beyond for a very close family member the first time I ever met him. Throughout the entire process he stayed in touch with my family to let us know what was going on at all times this was in 2002 in a federal court room.
In 2012 Mr. Leiva was called by my family again for what was a very very weak case but very very serious charges and accusations he treated as if it were like any other case that he puts hrs and hrs of work witch is very highly appreciated. You most definitely want his brilliant and savvy mind on your side 100%.
I had issue with Mr. Leiva and of course with a mind as brilliant as his it doesn’t come cheap, nor should it but after spending as much as my family did throughout the years one would like to think I can give this family a break. Like I stated my family has been relying on Mr Leiva since 2002 for a wide range of cases, knowing my family’s personal situation I just would have thought that just maybe he would be a bit more understanding when it came to the amount of money that was spent especially in my case .
With that said I’d recommend him to loved ones without hesitation, he’s simply on a different level!

This law firm moderately did well for my divorce in 2019 and provided me upfront estimated cost but they failed to provide me accurate legal information. After 5 years, when I went through this law firm again for my spousal support modification due to loss of my job then it seems like they just wanted to take money for no reason and misrepresented me and on top of that threatened me to reduce my spousal support amount if I don't pay to them immediately. I am a single mom and handling all sorts of chores and on top of that my attorney (Chris who has lots of experience) instead of helping me, threatening me and that caused me in tremendous mental stress and I lost my case and lost 15k of lawyer fees. The opposing counsel didn't even respect him and didn't provide their information on time. They harassed me multiple times for sending the same questionnaire and same document request so many times to earn their hourly pay. Really I got traumatized after their really bad service.

I usually don't go on platforms to submit reviews but I felt that it was critical that I share my positive experience that I have had with Sara. I hired her several months ago for child custody, visitation and relocation matters. I consulted with four lawyers (at different firms) until I settled on Sara Schuler. I even retained one from a fancy big name firm for a while, but ultimately went back to her. Since my case ultimately went to trial, with a large firm on the other side, and because we won on every issue, I can't express I grateful I am that I had ultimately chose Sara.
When I first consulted with Sara, what struck me is how precise and accurate she is. This is not what I got with the other lawyers, who made egregious misstatements about the law in their conversations with me. For example, a lawyer at a different (and well-known) firm told me, “well, the court doesn’t care about your contributions to the marriage,” when I told her I would like the marital assets to split according to our contributions. In fact, the Virginia statute explicitly requires that the court consider the “contributions, monetary and nonmonetary, of each party to the well-being of the family.” Sara never made any such errors in speaking with me, or in speaking to the court.
This precision and accuracy are essential in the unfortunate case that you go to court. The trial was like an enormous fact checking exercise, involving thousands of pages of documents. Our credible presentation of the facts was central to our trial win. In contrast, mistakes, mis-statements, and being loose with the facts seemed to sink the other side.
Related to her precision and accuracy, I felt I could trust Sara. Lawyers seem to care very much about their reputation in the legal community, much more so than they care about the outcome of your particular case. The other lawyers I consulted with tried to badger me into settling for an inequitable division rather than risk their reputations in a court room. Not that Sara was at all eager to go to court---she was also very reluctant, but at least she didn’t lie to me to try to get me to do what’s best for her career. I hired I hired Mirham at S&R after consulting with over a dozen firms in the area. She and the firm were the only ones that did not insult other firms and followed up immediately. After my first telephone conversation with her I was sure I wanted her representing me in court.

I got in my first major car accident last year in November and it was a major blow financially and emotionally for me because it wasn't my fault at all and I had no idea where to turn too for legal help. Unbelievable experience. I called this firm and was transferred to speak to a paralegal lady, thanks a bunch! She listened to my concern, made her own assumptions without consulting an attorney, then proceeded to tell me 'she' wasn't comfortable with the call and told me to basically take a hike and then hung up the phone. I have never experienced such unprofessional behavior from any company. Partners should be made aware that you have an extremely rude and unprofessional paralegal working in your company that will continue to damage your reputation.
