Good Chinese food. Rice is not given with the dish. You have to order separately. I went on team lunch and it was great experience. The ambience is quiet and clean. Faux monsters plant fill the vicinity of the restaurant so nicely. Food is properly cooked and spice level is exactly as indicated. I like spicy food so i took highest spice level.

I have requested a refund of the $5k retainer for almost two years. The retainer was signed on 10/13/22... Nothing, I mean nothing was ever done- no paperwork was ever filled. We had one conversation about my marriage.
I thought acquaintances who drink together and go to the casino together would'vehad a more respectable relationship! But, no. Our mutual friend is still one of my favorite people in the world, but unfortunately the extended friendship has been tarnished. My wife and I had a brief separation and we are happily together now.

He is the worst attorney never honest or said the truth changing the words every time in different mood. He is not professional or organized. Please save your money and don’t work with him ever. Left my case in last min in my court day he did withdraw to the case. We have a contract of flat rate and paid him in advance. A night before the court day asking me to give him more money he tried to push me in the corner to pay him more. Before, I talk to tell why the extra pay we already made a deal and I paid. He yelled and disrespected, treated me so bad then hangs up the phone. After that texting me “I will filling an order to withdraw”. Yes, Can you imagine? A day before your court without giving you any notice. I send him an agreement with my ex before a month ago. In the court he wasn’t prepared and even he didn’t know anything about the case. Even though I called him and updated him but he is looking for money how he can get more from you. I never forgive you on what you did! And your life become so hard because you took $2500 for nothing as I paid you in advance.

Outstanding attention to the full history, context and details of the matter by Samantha in the firm. Very patient with me explaining the best options to resolve a contentious estate situation that had gone on for 3 years previously where another very strong firm was on the other side using "low-ball, then delay then obfuscate, then avoid" tactics with my prior counsel. Once formally engaged on the case, Samantha resolved the entire matter w/in approx 4 months for a reasonable fee as well considering the amount of time invested in the process (Expect it to be a process of back and forth and attrition BTW!). I couldn't be more pleased with the firm, Samantha and Kara's professionalism, teamwork or the positive results for my family's future!

It takes five emails and additional effort to get anything done with this law firm after preliminary hearing. Also, after an illegal action was conducted in court during preliminary hearing from opposing party, this lawyer didn't speak up against illegal action. He is good initial call for consultation, yet doesn't follow through with promises after preliminary hearing. I wouldn't recommend him. He's overwhelmed with two clients in trial at one time. Stretched too thin. Can only do one client in trial at a time.

Alex Heidt has helped me with several legal matters. While I was in school, my college was attempting to pocket my FAFSA loans and make me pay out of pocket. Mr. Heidt was able to not only stop them from forcing me to pay or drop out, but he also found out they actually owed me $800.00. I got in my first major car accident last year in November and it was a major blow financially and emotionally for me because it wasn't my fault at all and I had no idea where to turn too for legal help. By the grace of God my fiancee's coworker suggested this law firm for my case because he had such a good experience with them and let me tell you he wasn't lying. Throughout the whole process so far they have been so helpful and nice making this traumatic experience for me so much easier to get through. While recovering from my injury they even sent little care packages! Me and my fiancee thought that was so nice of them, For them to go out of there way to do that for us. Hiring this firm is better than no representation at all but I would think twice in hiring this firm if you have the funds to go elsewhere. This firm has hired lawyers struggling to maintain their good standing with the bar association and then the firm does not disclose that. Anything that could potentially affect a client's case should be disclosed and the firm not disclosing that is unethical. The firm has a poor mechanism for clients to make complaints and to also act on client complaints. The only person you will talk with is an office manager who has no authority to do anything. It's more like they have a person just to hear complaints so the owners of the firm don't have to deal with them. My whole time I hired this firm I felt like I needed to micromanage them. Its not ok for mail from the firm to be sent to the wrong address, for purge orders to be not filed, for clients to get emails and email communications for different clients that have nothing to do with your case, and info needed to be given to court to be not done in a timely manner or not done at all until the client has asked if it's been done. I'm sure the attorney I hired was a kind person and tried as hard as they could but I should have been informed of the situation so I understood how many micromanagings and check ins I needed to do. And the hourly rate for my situation was the same or higher than other legal staffers at the firm. My case had an overall positive outcome but there were errors made. Buyer beware when working with this firm!

My name is Angela Marie Dodd. On 7/15 my former co-worker Mr. Hami, and I had what was supposed to be a consultation with Mr. Cook. This is a wrongful termination case for Mr. Hami. Mr. Hami is From Afghanistan. For those that are patient enough to listen to Mr. Hami, they would find that it is quite easy to understand what he is saying. However, that is not the case for most of the lawyers that we have had consultations with. This is the reason that I accompany Mr. Hami. I do not speak Persian; but I understand what he is saying. I also worked at the same place; and held the same position as Mr. Hami.
I was very disturbed by Mr. Cook's attitude and conduct towards myself, and Mr. Hami during our conversation on 7/15. July 15th was the first time that we met Mr. Cook on the phone. This was an Initial conversation. There was no prior discussion between us about anything. The only prior information that Mr. Cook had about Mr. Hami was that he had been given the right sue by EEOC.
Having the right to sue from EEOC meant that we were successful in proving to EEOC that some form of discrimination occurred towards Mr. Hami by his former employer. Somehow after asking Mr. Hami two questions about the form of discrimination that Mr. Hami received from his former employer; and having zero information about the details of the actual case; Mr. Cook was able to concluded that Mr. Hami would not be able to afford the $100,000 that it was going to cost to receive legal representation from him. Even after I stepped in and told Mr. Cook that Mr. Hami could afford to retain him; Mr. Cook insisted that Mr. Hami could not. Mr. Cook advised us to seek a lawyer that offered contingency services; and then without ever hearing any details of the actual case - told us that he would not be able to take on the case. What level of discrimination is this?

My case was a somewhat complex domestic situation, a misdemeanor charge that could have resulted in jail time. I was charged with a DWI and Civil Refusal back in February and was terrified of the consequences a conviction would entail. Fortunately, a friend referred me to Scott Surovell who agreed to represent me and set a plan in action from our very first call. He helped me understand how the process would take place and our strategy for my defense. As my Court date approached, we continued once before finally going before the Arlington County General District Court. The State Prosecutor had not offered any plea deals so it was to go to trial.
Scott was a masterful trial attorney. It was impressive to watch him work and gave me confidence we would come out with a positive ruling. After he dismantled the Prosecution, it was agreed that the Charge would be reduced to Reckless Driving and the Commonwealth would Motion to Nolle Prosequi the Refusal Charge. This was a HUGE relief. I cannot thank Scott enough for his work on my case and would recommend him to anyone seeking a Defense Attorney.

I had a terrible experience with Camille Crandall at Hicks Crandall Juhl, P.C. Her handling of my case was deeply flawed, leading to significant financial losses. Camille failed to secure an updated appraisal for a major asset, causing it to be grossly undervalued during my divorce proceedings. This oversight resulted in me losing a substantial amount of money. Additionally, her inadequate representation led to an unrealistic and excessive financial burden for me. When I sought accountability, I was met with threats and baseless accusations from her firm. I strongly advise against hiring Camille Crandall if you want competent and ethical legal representation. My experience with her has been a costly mistake.

The 1st family lawyer I got was horrible and cost me about $10k. I hired Mehagen back in 2013 and she was empathetic, honest and great in the courtroom when fighting for you and your case. I’m still dealing with major losses and court hearings six years later from things she did not work in my best interest on in my divorce agreement. If you’re considering legal representation by Camille Crandall, I strongly urge you to reconsider. My experience with Ms. Crandall was not only disappointing but financially devastating. Her handling of my case was fraught with serious errors that resulted in significant monetary losses, and I am compelled to share my story as a cautionary tale.
One of the most critical aspects of my case was the accurate valuation of a major asset. Unfortunately, Ms. Crandall failed to secure an updated appraisal at a crucial point in the proceedings, leading to a gross undervaluation of the asset. This oversight cost me a substantial amount of money, a loss that could have easily been avoided with competent representation. What’s more, her inability to correct this mistake even after it was brought to her attention reflects a troubling level of negligence.
Additionally, Ms. Crandall’s mishandling of the financial aspects of my case did not stop there. When it came to determining my financial obligations, her failure to adequately argue and present necessary evidence resulted in an unrealistic and exorbitant financial burden being placed upon me. So let’s talk about Camille Crandall, a legal superstar who didn’t just take my custody case but TOTALLY owned it, turned it around and WON. I need to give MAJOR kudos to Ms. Crandall for her incredible work in handling my rollercoaster of a custody court case, dealing with tough topics, spanning two different state jurisdictions (I don’t even live in Virginia!). She turned around a tough loss from a prior court hearing with another attorney into us receiving 98% of everything we asked for in the Virginia court final hearing with Ms. Crandall’s guidance. And if that wasn’t enough, the court also totally unexpectedly granted me decision-making authority for the child in question– an unexpected win I credit to Ms. Crandall’s expertise and hard work. And here’s the kicker, she accepted my complex case with an emergent deadline after a few other attorneys turned me down – and after that tough loss in a prior court hearing with a different attorney.
Ms. Crandall didn’t just argue the law, she poured her heart into my case – almost like I was her own family!!! The level of preparation and her closing arguments were incredible! (Court watchers attested her closing arguments were fantastic.) Seeing that level of commitment and belief in her legal case -- it was AMAZING!

Camille Crandall who almost made impossible to possible in my case about having my child's custody. She is my hero who presented me such a wonderful way that I could never think of. I only worked with her for last 4/5 months and I hardly talked to her in person. But still the way she read me, understood me and presented me in the court, I don't think that any of my family member or friend could do that. She is honest, hard working, straight forward and very specific. More I want to write about her, more I want to see the good qualities in her. Her entire team was very professional and hard working for my case as if they know me for soo long. I hired Chap Peterson for legal assistance, but unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. Despite paying for their services, I did not receive the level of support and attention I expected. Communication was lacking, and it felt like my case was neglected. I'm disappointed with the overall experience.
Never expect that Chap is going to handle your case. You will face with couple un-experienced young employees. We had a deposition with other party and they didn’t even tell me the date.
On my first meeting with Chap and Chris, I explained them everything and never told them that the other party had damage to my business. Chap and Chris said no worry, since they break the contract we can still win the case . I ask them couple times when the case was continuing, are we still certain? Every single time , they said we are good, we will win the case.
After, I spend 20k-30k and 2-3 weeks before trial they called me and said there is no case because there is no damage to the business. I said I told you that from the beginning and you knew that why you start this case then?
Stay away from this company. They are going to get your money and will do the same thing.

Alice supported me on negotiating and updating a child support and visitation agreement. She was very nice, pleasant, and professional. She communicated well, calling and emailing as often as necessary. My biggest concerns revolve around her lack of due diligence and understanding of my needs. There were several occasions where it became clear she either didn't actually read, or didn't understand, some supporting documentation provided. This resulted in impacting the negotiation where opposing counsel called out her mistakes ultimately weakening our credibility and position. I also viewed some of her advice toward the end as questionable, focused more on protecting her reputation and less on protecting my interests. I have not returned, nor would I recommend this attorney.
