I cannot express how grateful I am that I found Daria and her team. I was in the unfortunate scenario of unexpectedly being plunged into our broken family law system.
I interviewed a few attorneys and hired one from another firm (S-M&P). I quickly realized I had made a mistake, as the competence of that attorney was severely lacking and it was clear that they viewed me as an ATM. After a month of manufactured drama/crisis and thousands of dollars down the drain, I made the decision to change attorneys.
I was referred to The Wise Law Firm by a friend of a friend, and from the start, Daria exceeded the high expectations that I had coming in. She was very transparent about my realistic options and the most likely outcomes. She didn't try to push the more contentious options simply to drive up her billable hours. There was never a time when I felt like I was being 'nickel and dime'd into oblivion - their billables are very fair and accurate and I never had to question any line item on my statements.
Daria and her team had the goal of achieving the best outcome for my family and me, and I am confident that my case would not have had the favorable outcome that it did, had I stayed with the other attorney. Family law is an ugly place, and I can't imagine dealing with it day in and day out, but somehow Daria and Stephanie have found a way to insulate themselves from becoming cynical and jaded.
If you are reading reviews because Daria is your opposing counsel, I can say with confidence that Daria is as professional of an opponent as you will find. She is not manufacturing drama/conflict in an effort to drive up the billables and the duration of your case.
If you have already hired another attorney and are having doubts, I would highly suggest making a switch - it's not worth it to stay with an attorney that you don't have full confidence in - the figurative and literal costs are far too high.
TLDR: If you are looking for a family law attorney, I cannot recommend The Wise Law Firm enough.

For the last 7 years, Ms. Wise and her paralegal, Ms. Kayler, have been like extra family members, assisting us with some of the most challenging circumstances our family has ever experienced.
In every event our family has encountered (including parenting plans, modifications, emergency custodial issues, multiple mediations, protection orders, guardian ad litems, all manner of temperaments from opposing counsels, new judges), Ms. Wise's counsel and advice has been spot on. She's not one to make promises, but she has a solid grasp of the legal systems in the area and can accurately guide your expectations and limitations.
I have lost count of how many court appearances and mediations we've attended with Daria at our side, but our children and family have come out safer and better off after each one.
I have personally referred her to many of my friends in need of family legal services, and they've reported the same. She's timely, communicates well, and is passionate about helping her clients and their families.

They also showed great empathy in handling my peculiar case; were very responsive and understanding of my financial difficulties and very generous in giving no charges whilst still working very hard to ensure that all my needs were tendered to. If you are looking for a firm that will fight for you and have your back, this is your firm. My case lasted 4yrs and Daria still remembered details of the case that even I had forgotten that ultimately helped me in gaining custody of my children as well as a very fair final judgement. I was in the middle of a terrible litigation storm with my sons father and it seemed like it would never end. We had been going back and forth to court for well over a year and I could not see the light at the end of the tunnel. I had been through over 4 attorneys...yes, I said 4!!! In February of 2018 a family friend suggested I meet with Mr.Schrade to see what options there were for me to move forward and possibly even wrap up the litigation altogether. I was nervous and I assumed Mr. Schrade would be like all the others but boy was I wrong. For started Mr. Schrade is an extremely kind and respectful person. Every attorney I had prior was somewhat rude or too aggressive towards me when I asked questions or for undertaking. Mr.Schrade was the total opposite... it makes a huge difference when someone treats you like a person instead of job or simply another case number. Mr. Schrade was able to close a case that had been lingering for over two years in just 2 short months! It is the best feeling in the world knowing that someone can no longer hold the threat of taking custody over your head. Mr. Schrade was an angel towards me but a fighter in the courtroom.

Hire Him!!! Jim is very professional, organized and a true fact finder. Now he’s not your therapist(which is for your best benefit), however he works extremely hard even after hours putting together the best presentation possible for your case. Jim helped me put out a very unnecessary fire storm created by my ex. As expected with any custody battle this was a very emotional time for me, however Jim didn’t allow me to feed into my emotions. TODAY I just concluded a dui matter that has been going on since November 2017. From my initial consultation with Attorney Montgomery and her office, they provided A+ service. I was facing a difficult case and Attorney Montgomery maneuvered through the case effortlessly. The first step was saving my driver's license. We filled the paperwork with DDS and I recieved notice that the DDS would not pursue the suspension of my license. That was huge because this allowed me to keep driving throughout this entire ordeal. The next step was her office staying in constant communication regarding court dates and anything needed. After months, we decide to push the case to a jury trial. This is where Attorney Montgomery and her staff's preparation was unmatched. Throughout the entire trial which lasted over 7 hours, she never wavered and her closing arguments were something of genius. The jury deliberated for less than 30 mins and came back with a unanimous verdict of not guilty! I appreciate all of the hard work and efforts of the staff! If you want an office to support you and fight for you, Attorney Montgomery's office is a no brainer!

I am a unique client. I like to get “into the weeds” on the legal side of things. Mike was excellent at working with me on two separate occasions.
In 2017, Mike negotiated on my behalf to keep my house and avoid high child support payments and settle for 50/50 custody in my divorce case in Cobb County. This enabled me to stay in my child’s life on a constant basis and remain a stable parent. After a relocation from the child’s other coparent, I had to step into being a full-time parent.
So in late 2023, I filed a modification case as a Pro Se plaintiff. It turned out to be more difficult than I could navigate after discovery. I knew the law, but didn’t know how to turn it in my favor.
I called Mike again. He quickly brought himself up to speed. We successfully defended delay tactics by the defendant. In less than 4 months, Mike was able to me help successfully settle this case with full custody & child support. I couldn’t have done it without him.

I was having a lot of trouble getting paid for injuries received during an auto accident. I had been trying for six months to reach a fair settlement but was getting nowhere. I was referred to Mr. Groff by a neighbor. Money well spent. After I met with him he quickly got to work and in 45 days the insurance wrote me a check for 4x what they had originally offered me. Generally with most attorneys the initial consultation is free as was the case with David. However David saw me again without charge even though my case was too small to require an attorney and gave me excellent advise on managing my own case so that I could recuperate bills and damages. The particular insurance company was dragging its feet about offering a settlement and David gave me advise on navigating their bureaucracy. It worked. They offered a settlement and surprise, surprise it is under fair value as David predicted they would. David even provided the form for me to file on my own behalf in the case. He is the first attorney I would contact. Very honest, straightforward, and has excellent experience dealing with cases.

This man is worth every single penny. WORTH IT. I have never seen an attorney more prepared and ready to attack in court. Custody court was mentally the toughest thing I had ever gone through along with living 300 miles away. Mike helped me through every step. He made sure I was clear on everything and understood what was going on at all times. We had telephone conferences and I only had to come in office a few times.
His ability to recollect laws and cases in court is astounding and he made my ex’s lawyer look like he’d never been to law school or passed a bar exam a day in his life. Highly recommend Wendi. I was charged with DUI and failure to maintain lane. Blood sample was twice the legal limit and the video evidence was not in my favor. Wendi was able to get the DUI reduced to reckless driving and the ticket thrown out which was the absolute best case scenario.
