Divorce is painful and emotional and if you're like me, you don't know much about the process and don't really have the headspace to learn all about it while it is happening to you...Ron's parting words at my first consult with him were, "The best thing you can do is pretend like you are asleep for the next 6-12 months and let me handle things." Those words were so true. I didn't always want to listen to them, but being 5 months post divorce and still dealing with some issues with opposing parties not living up to the terms of the MSA, Ron is still in my corner. I don't think I realized how good he and his team are until recently. Discussing my agreement with divorcees has shown me that Ron helped me reach a fair deal that allows me to move on in life with confidence and financial stability and do the right thing for my children and he kept emotion out of it which is so important in negotiation for separating assets and in my case a lot of liabilities.
I would absolutely recommend Mr. Bell and his team to anyone in need of advice and guidance and council during the process of divorce.

My family ended up in a very complicated and very sad divorce situation. In and out of court, Bill's legal skill and experience kept the case moving forward even when the opposing council was working every angle to dally and delay.

When I started looking into getting divorced, I was pretty nervous as one would imagine. I did some research and ended up getting in touch with Jerry. He was very professional and quickly found a way to settle my nerves. One thing that struck me was after talking about typical general scenarios, he recommended that my ex and I try to settle as much as possible on our own as it would alleviate needlessly dragging things on, only making both parties lawyers richer. Ed and his team have demonstrated that they are the dominate legal council in the Peoria area. Ed can be trusted to deliver and defend you for the most difficult cases. My ex wife filed a HIPPA case against my wife to gain access to medical records to ecploit my wife and restrict parenting time and Ed worked closely with us to settle outside of court. Friday before the hearing my ex wife declined any settlement and the hearing was set for Monday. Eds team worked through the weekend and developed a solid case with legal precedence and solidly one the case protecting my wife's legal rights to protect her personal medical records. My ex wife is what people call “helicopter mom.” She would not let me see my daughter. She accused me of ridiculous thigs and asked for 100% of any decision-making because I cannot be trusted. Out of pure revenge my ex filed fraudulent chargers against me accusing of child abuse. DCFS became involved. This was a nightmare. Before I hired Kozlov, I consulted with at least three other lawyers. Kozlov showed a good knowledge of the law and understanding of the procedure. It was very important to me to know everything that was going on in court and Kozlov kept me informed every step of the way. This hell is over and I have my child back. He is not cheap but Kozlov chargers only for actual work. Not BS chargers like travel time. He keeps his word. If you work with him he will get you the result.

I have used Brad more than once (for my divorce and four years later when a petition requesting a new parenting allocation judgment was filed). Brad walked me through both processes, ensured that I had "wins" along the way as the respondent in both cases, and was available/accessible when needed. Brad performed a review of a prenuptial agreement that had already been structured and had little room for flexibility. Despite the constraints imposed by the agreement, Brad provided invaluable insights on improving the structure of the agreement, helped identify and remove excessively punitive clauses, and was able to make several recommendations to clarify language and circular references that were ultimately accepted by opposing counsel. Brad was extremely professional in his demeanor toward my fiance’s family’s requests, in his responses to my requests, and in his overall handling of the case. Brad took the time to help me understand the legal jargon and gave me peace of mind that I was protected throughout this sensitive process. He was readily available via email or phone, despite having trials and other open cases, and he made arrangements to meet in person upon request within just a couple business days. Reasonable retainer fee for services compared against several other firms in the Loop. Highly recommended for anyone needing counsel to sign a prenup.

My friends and family suggested I contact the law offices of Jeffery M. Leving, Ltd. located in Chicago. I chose to have Jim Hagler and Summer Du represent me. BEST DECISION I MADE IN YEARS!
I came to Jim Hagler because I was not getting any time with my daughter, even though we had "equal custody" after the divorce almost 4 years prior. Our original divorce paperwork from a different lawyer was vague and poorly written, leaving my ex-wife lots of loopholes to keep my daughter away from me, unless she felt like "granting" me access to see my own daughter. I was heartbroken, depressed and mad. I hope no one has to experience the pain I was going through. I wanted to be her father, not some weekend or periodic person that could only see her occasionally.
I was done with feeling helpless, and knew I had to stand up for myself and get my daughter back into my life. Every daughter needs her father, and ever father needs to be with his daughter! Jim and Summer refiled the custody paperwork so it reflected what equal custody really means. That started the expected battle for custody. And holy cow were they ready for it!
Jim and Summer are real hero's to me. They blew holes in very false accusation and unsubstantiated lie my ex-wife could dream up! And I assure you she came up with new ones every time Jim and Summer proved the last one was a lie! No matter how ugly the process became they guided me through it all with a level of support, dignity and professionalism which gave me the confidence to know we would come out on top! In the end even her own lawyer knew the truth, it was a great victory- and by victory I only mean having my daughter (and best friend) back in my arms!
Today, I have equal custody of her and could not ask for anything more in life! My relationship with my ex has also returned to normal and we are doing a great job coparenting. I never though any of this would be possible.
MY WORD OF ADVICE: Don't ever give up your rights as a father and do what you know is right- call Jim and Summer if you really want your daughter back!!!!!!!!

I am not quite sure where to begin...I had originally hired a previous lawyer to represent me for my divorce (which started in 2019). The previous lawyer did not seem to be doing much work on my case nor did did I feel heard when I explained my case to them. I ended up asking them to withdraw as my lawyer after about 8 months because I knew they weren't going to fight for me.
I then started the process of finding a new lawyer and quite a few lawyers were not even willing to take my case because litigation had already started.
I felt very lost, but then I got referred to Linda Watson from 3 different people. I had my phone consult with her (at this point covid was in full swing) and I knew this woman was going to fight for me.
Let me make this clear, you're money will not go to waste at Watson Law! You will see the work for what you pay for! Linda and her team will go above and beyond for you! Make sure you communicate with them and tell them everything!
Linda is such a good hearted person. She doesn't sugarcoat things and is very real and upfront with you!
Never in a million years did I think after hiring Linda I would grow so close to her and her staff!! As crappy as having to go through the divorce process was, Linda and her team made it somewhat enjoyable! I felt heard, supported and validated from Linda and her team!
Oh and in the end, Watson Law won my case!!! It took 5+ trials/days in court. It is very important for YOU the client to make sure you educate yourself with your story/side of things and come prepared as well. Linda is so incredible in court. She FIGHTS for you. I could go on and on but I will end with this...choosing any other lawyer for your case would be a HUGE mistake and loss!!!!

When it comes to say anything about Mr. Hany Khoury, he’s nothing short of a miracle. My ex-wife was nothing but difficult from Day 1 to Year 4. Mr. Khoury not only had her attorneys drop her just by his sheer excellence and superior knowledge in court during our divorce which resulted in me winning, but also had the judge reprimanding my ex for wasting the courts valuable time. He simply takes no BS, and tells it how it is every step of the way. I’ve been with him throughout a very long process with dirty antics by my ex- wife trying to make me out to be everything under the sun and he’s gotten every fraudulent claim dismissed even to the point where when my ex took the stand she even admitted it was all lies by his proper execution of wording . After our last lengthy go around again in court , he never stopped believing in me, our hope of beating a corrupt system that favors women mainly due to the judge assigned, and we beat her in the end again and all her claims again were all dismissed . He is a Pitbull. So smart and educated and hates when others parents manipulate the court for their own gain. My daughter is all I wanted and he always made sure I was able to get that . He will never give up, his staff is remarkable, he files every document on time, and he really cares about his clients needs. I will never use another attorney. I had to deal with a situation that existed in both family court as well as criminal court. Right away Ali was both informative and empathetic. As a professional, she knows how the legal system works. Ali spent time 'on the other side' as a prosecutor, which I felt gave her an inside understanding of not only how the prosecution operates, but of what judges want and look for in a case. Ali informed myself and my wife right away to initiate things like counseling and parenting classes and not to wait for that to be ordered. 1) Because you don't want to get MONTHS into your case and then have the system spring something on you that you could have been doing all that time and 2) It shows that you're pro-active in your case. She never painted a picture of unrealistic expectations and yet, at the same time, she managed to stoke the fires of hope and resolve. The above mentioned advice alone probably shaved 3-4 months off of my family court case. It's little things like that that become big things that Ali has an inside understanding of.
As a person, Ali took a personal interest in me and my family. She readily viewed pictures of my kids and even helped my eldest with a few decisions about college. Ali is a genuine person and she really does care.
To be frank, the court system is hell. Pick one reason or pick several, it's a sea of hell. Ali acted as a legal compass through it all.
I don't give this review with any amount of light heartedness. DCFS came and took my youngest son into state custody for over 1 year. In my heart I truly feel that if it had not been for Ali Leonard, that time would have been excruciatingly longer or worse, they may not have returned him at all. It's via her strength, her knowledge and her determination that I have my son today and my family is whole. Even when my monetary debt reads zero, I will never be able to truly pay her back. Thank you Ali.

My ex-wife file for divorce and once I got David involved, the opposing attorney and ex's demeanor drastically changed. After David gained insight on my situation, how I earn income (I'm self-employed) and what my ex was asking me for, David was my voice and advocate to make sure I was not taken advantage of. My ex's requests (demands) were based on emotion and she wasn't budging until David came along. David worked through the legal system and made sure the settlement was based on facts and not emotion. When I wanted to give in, he asked me "for what? There is no legal basis for what they're asking for (paraphrased)". There's an awful lot of waiting as the due process takes place but it's for a reason. This gave my legal team some time to formulate a plan, and used time to our advantage. David and his paralegal Joni are top notch, very knowledgeable about the law and how to apply it to get my case settled. There were many phone calls and emails to me from their office outside of normal business hours, which I appreciated, so their dedication to their clients were beyond evident. David worked hard on my case and I can finally move forward in my new chapter of life. If you're interviewing attorneys deciding who to select, have at least a conversation with David, and you will immediately know that he absolutely has your best interest in mind. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for what he and his team have done for me, my future and for my dependent son. Thank you David! I'd give him 10 stars if I could.

Divorce is such a painful process on multiple levels. I wanted my divorce over as soon as possible. Unfortunately, there are levels of attorneys and 5 star reviews don't always correlate with competence. I chose one based on 5 star AVO reviews and was severely disappointed. My divorce dragged on years exacerbated by Covid.
I was at my wits end when I was thankfully referred by word of mouth to David. After a 20 min ph call with David, I fired my last attorney and hired David. He is very intelligent, professional and straight to the point. David has a network and rapport with the "system" that can only exist because of a long and successful career. This network also greatly benefitted my case both financially and psychologically.
My experience with divorce was ugly. It was not only a battle with my ex, it was a made worse because of her team of lawyers. Petty arguments and tactics designed to drain the estate of finances and wear you down emotionally.
In such a situation, you want a shark on your side to cut through the opposition with efficiency. David was just that both strategically and in front of the judge. If only I had hired him first. I would have saved myself a lot of mental and financial energy. Do yourself a favor and call David. Trust me.

I hired mr Dolci to represent me for a felony drug charge. He won my case by filing a motion to prove the cops didn't have probable cause to search my car. He made the cop look like a liar. It was great! The case was over in two months and I walked out a free man. We hadn't even payed our full fee to him. He offered to waive the balance of his money. I payed it anyway. I came to Henry with a divorce case previously handled by another attorney that was extremely long, complicated, and for which there was no similar precedent. Add to that a change in the divorce law while in process, and the complexity magnified. Once again I found myself in a difficult situation in which I needed legal assistance. I knew from the get-go on account of some prior charges from my past, this case would be all the more difficult. I actually felt ashamed contacting Mr. Vergara (Earl). Why would a person feel ashamed contacting their lawyer? Because that's the impact Earl makes on a person. He treats his clients with such compassion...I truly consider him a friend. And I was actually hesitant to reach out for fear of feeling I let him down with another charge. How many folks can say they have that kind of a relationship with their attorney? But that's not Earl, he treats his clients as individuals who sometimes make mistakes and looks to find the best options available to remedy their situation. I recently was pulled over for driving on a revoked license & no seat belt in Lake County. While on probation. I was absolutely sick to my stomach & Affraid. I called a good friend of mine and explained what happened to me. He told me to call Paul.
