During my divorce Attorney Cushing handled the process extremely proffessionally. I caught in false allegations on several occasions and at times very stressed and confused. Mrs. Cushing continually delivered and give me exactly the info and advice I needed. I have never had an attorney who puts people before the money, as John does. Of course, he needs to be paid and should be paid top dollar but John doesn’t fit into the mold of a streotypical money-hungry/ cut-throat/ self-centered attorney. We had a situation where the Mother withheld contact from the Father. Amber helped in giving voice to our concerns with the Mother's criminal record, bizarre augmentative behavior and association with recent violent felons. In the end, with Amber's help, the Father did obtain primary residence for the good of the child.

I only have the highest of praise and gratitude for Corey McKenna. He was assigned to my son’s case as a public defender, and went above and beyond what we expected. The issues all evolved from my son’s long-time addictions. Corey worked hard with the district attorney’s office to get my son into a long-term rehab. Judy is without question a fantastic Family lawyer. I've used her twice now over the last 6 years and not only is her knowledge second to none but there isn't a courtroom in the state that when she walks in, she knows everyone there. I live in Tennessee and needed an attorney in Kittery, Maine in a criminal misdemeanor case that involved two different charges. My brother is a longstanding attorney and I have dealt with other attorneys in matters noncriminal so I have some experience with attorneys. I can unreservedly say that Matt is one of the, if not the most honest, responsive, knowledgeable, and accessible attorneys I've ever dealt with. He immediately recognized that the charges were frivolous and he approached the case from that standpoint, even though I was technically guilty of the charges. He left me feeling from our first conversation to the very favorable resolution he obtained for me that I was the only client he had. He did everything he said he would do when he said it would be done, keeping me informed every step of the way. Our communication was conducted entirely via the telephone and email. In the resolution of the case, he had one charge dismissed outright, and the other charge was diverted for six months at which time it will also be dismissed. As to whether I would recommend Matt to anyone else, I would say with no reservation whatsoever, yes. If anyone would like to contact me personally, they need only ask Matt for my phone number. I would be glad to speak with anyone needing an excellent attorney.

I contacted Attorney Levine for a consultation regarding a situation that I was rather embarrassed by the details of revealing due to the nature of what had transpired as I had not been free of guilt in this series of events.
However, just like a physician who has heard "everything", Attorney Levine cut to the chase and did not allow for any emotionally vulnerable pieces to affect the entirity of what I was realistically looking at and why his thoughts on the matter may be of assistance but would be far from easy to execute that which I was most concerned from coming to fruition.
That, in my mind, is a trait that is found only in the most experienced of defense attorneys as they make it quite clear that none of what they advise is for the purposes of "clearing you in the eyes of the court" but in guiding you down a path that his experience has shown will yield the most desirable outcome.
He does not mince words nor does he allow for you to ask questions which have no real consequence in your case but does so in a manner that is respectful and efficient, considering your time and providing you with the best counsel by not TELLING you what to do but why what Attorney Levine has told you what his recommendation would be in your situation.
Hire Attorney Levine only if you want the results his experience has proven tried and true.

Attorney Levine provided me and my son with a free consultation regarding my son’s “driving to endanger” case. Between a 10-minute phone conversation and an hour-long meeting in his office, he gave us immensely helpful and detailed information and recommendations to aid my son’s defense. The case is quite serious, as my son is only 16 but is being charged as an adult. The case is also unusual, in that my son’s driving behavior was the result of some very unusual circumstances. I am a Connecticut Lawyer who was in need of local counsel to help with a substantial legal matter in York, Maine. I picked Wendy's name out of a list of local lawyers based upon the firm web page and personal interviews I conducted. I called her—along with three other firms--and conducted a telephone interview. I found her to be experienced, knowledgeable and in possession of a clear understanding of Maine values and mores. I decided to select her firm to be local counsel.
When I visited the area it became apparent that she was well known, highly respected and that she knew her way around the courthouses. I felt very comfortable being with her and being with her gave me easy access to the local legal community. Her legal assessments were clear, concise and very understandable. Her advice was "spot on”. She knew the law. She showed herself to be a seasoned counselor as well as a solid citizen firmly ensconced in the Maine legal community.
