Ed is a common sense business lawyer with impeccably good judgment. Based on my experience with him, any person buying or selling a home should consult with Ed prior to listing or signing on with an agent. I sold my home with a fantastic listing agent, but the experience was still extremely stressful and I felt a listing agent was necessary because I was unfamiliar with the transaction. As nice as my agent was there was always the uneasiness of knowing his interests were not always in line with mine -- it's just the nature of the beast. When it came time for me to buy a new home I spoke with Ed first. I learned from Ed that working through an agent was not always necessary and that engaging a homeowner about selling prior to listing with the help of a lawyer like Ed is the most prudent homebuying strategy. Ed and the title company he works with were able to handle all the technical/legal aspects of the deal and answered all the questions that I would have ordinarily directed to my agent. The eventual deal I made was better for both the buyers and sellers; it was a win-win deal because neither party had to endure the work and stress of the open market, and the ultimate sale price netted the seller more money and had us paying less. By paying a flat fee Ed's duties as a lawyer were owed entirely to me and were not influenced by other factors. Also, Ed's expertise goes way beyond for-sale-by-owner transactions. Anyone doing real property or commercial transactions should consider retaining Ed and give him a call.

In 2019 I sold an investment property to my long time tenant. While I had a built in buyer, it was still a very complicated situation for a variety of reasons. Ed negotiated the sale and handled everything for me, and he made a difficult situation much, much better. He handled everything remotely, including signatures -- we never had to meet in the office -- he was extremely responsive and reassuring the whole way -- and most importantly, I saved thousands of dollars by not using a realtor. I continue to work with Ed whenever I need an attorney -- I would highly recommend him.

I can’t say enough about Rob. I had a complicated change of custody case and he was able to bring numerous witnesses together from various agencies to testify. His ability to coordinate everyone and question them and to ask the questions that matter proved to be skillfully done. I would recommend him, especially to fathers who already have one strike against them simply for being the father in a custody case. I was pleased to hear that I was awarded sole physical and sole legal custody in my case.

Mr. Backlund made me feel like he cared about my case. The reason I originally chose Zachary as my lawyer was his firms quick response to my questions. When I called I got straight through to Zachary, and my emails were almost always answered within 2 hours and most under 1 hour. Overall my experience with Zachary was good and he did an excellent job. However the firm as a whole was very pricey and for a relatively painless divorce were both parties agreed on many things it did cost well above average.

My Ex Did Not Get My Police Officer’s Pension Thanks to Delores Mayer
Delores did the near impossible: she kept my ex-wife’s hands off my police officer’s pension. When I tell other officers that Delores saved my pension in my divorce, they can’t believe it. You will need a specialist like Delores if you have a pension at stake. She also was able to get me full custody of my sons with my ex-wife paying child support to me. Delores was also very professional and took the time out of her busy schedule to talk to me about my case and listen to my concerns, even at night after I got off of my shift. I hired Josh as my attorney after being pulled over for not using my turn signal (because it was broken). By the end of the stop, I was charged with possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia. I have a valid medical marijuana card. Having been through this before, it was essential that I got off without a charge or probation. Josh was able to settle the case completely out of court. I was very satisfied with this attorney. I hired this attorney based upon the recommendation of my father-in-law, who is also a attorney. My case involved a parenting-time dispute with my ex-husband. Scott Neumann fully kept me informed about the case and promptly provided me with a copy of every document filed or received. Whenever I was nervous about my case, I could always reach Scott by phone. Scott professionally handled my case and was successful in obtaining the relief I requested. My ex-husband was not very happy with the outcome. I continue to plan to use Scott whenever the need should arise. My friend advised me to use the attorney he had used for years. I hired Mr. Neumann as a result of my friend's recommendation and was very satisfied. My case was handled with care and all of my questions were promptly answered. Mr. Neumann advised me to not worry about anything because he was on top of the case. This attorney was able to have my felony charges reduced to a misdemeanor in Oakland County. I received probabtion and no jail. His fee was reasonable and I was informed about everything in a way that I was able to understand it. I would recommend this attorney. I would also say that he seems to know everyone in the court system, which was helpful.

Attorneys Marc and Ryan Fishman are WONDERFUL! From the start, Marc was very patient and explained every step to me in layman terms. He always returned my calls or answered my emails within 24 hrs. John has represented and battled for me on two different fronts.....one of which, recently resulted in having custody of my 5 year old son, who now lives with me full-time!!! This was an ongoing struggle of nearly three years.....but John and his paralegall fought hard and proved that they cared as much about my son's best interest as I did.....and that means a whole hell of alot when your dealing with custody/parenting time matters!!

I've had2 3rd offense drinking n driving in my past nothing to be proud of but instead to be scared of . This time I honestly only was pushing my bike hours later after it stalled but had been drinking n was arrested for drinking n driving. Joseph was honest enough to tell me if we took it to trial he would give it his all but and believes we have a 90% chance of winning but there is a 10 % chance the jurors would look at my past and convict me and I would do 5- 8 years and ask if I was to take that chance. I wasn't, I'm not . Joseph has fought and kept me from going to jail and has also fought for me to be able to battle with my cancer at home. What I'm trying to say is I wasn't just a paycheck or just another client to be pushed and over with . He fought for me as my own individual like he will do his next client. Thank you Joseph!

I have to apologize in a way, that I feel so bad...that I actually started to cry so hard, from all that I thought happened at his office, that I wish I could do something for the whole office to make it up to them.
I am not afraid to admit when I am wrong no matter how much I have to pay for what I caused for being wrong!
The office was still continuing to keep my case in good standing while I was accusing them of losing most of my evidence. They worked very hard to try and find the evidence I claimed that I had left with them at the front desk a week and a half ago. Well? I did not leave the folders for them... I left a folder for my accountant.
I ended up finding the files in a bin that was unknowingly put there by my husband!
I will be personally giving the office a personal apology for all of the accusations I accused them of that they were not guilty of...Please accept my apologies...
