I hired Mark Chiesa for a very difficult case involving real property. To say that the deck was very much stacked against us in this case would actually be an understatement.
I’ve had seven lawyers in total for other cases and, although they were all pretty good, Mark was the best. I have some complaints about all of the other lawyers that I’ve had but I have absolutely no complaints about Mark; he’s just that good.
Of course, in any court case, it always comes down to the decision of a judge or a jury but Mark will work harder and smarter than most other attorneys, increasing the likelihood of a favorable outcome.
Mark did exactly what I wanted him to do despite the unlikelihood of that ever happening. And he did it ethically, without having to convince the judge of things by telling bold-faced lies like the lawyer on the opposing side kept doing.
Mark Chiesa is a great guy and a great lawyer. If you retain him and lose, you were gonna lose no matter what.

Al defended me in a Criminal matter and went to work right away leaving no stone uncovered. He was well prepared in Court speaking out on my behalf correcting any oversights or questionable phrasing of the charge. He kept me well informed through Telephone contact, Email and meetings in his office. He was prompt in returning my calls. I retained Mr. Rightler for an on-going legal case. By the time Mr. Rightler was involved in the case, prior attorneys had made a mess of it. Mr. Rightler took the time to learn my case. He read every document in the case file, spent time interviewing me, and got to know the players involved. He was highly organized and did not miss anything. He has excellent communication skills and is not afraid to state the facts, in court and out. He is an honest and very principled man. He is knowledgeable in the law but is not shy about asking for help where he needs it. Mr. Rightler has strong research skills which help greatly as, in my case, it was necessary for him to do very extensive research in a number of areas other than the law. Mr. Rightler , as an attorney, is consistently reliable. He always returned my calls and emails. He told me what he planned to do, and he did exactly that. I have complete trust in Mr. Rightler and I would not hesitate to recommend him as an attorney.

Joseph Daiek is the BEST Lawyer I have had the pleasure to work with. There was never a time throughout my Divorce that I was worried he would not be there. My case was quite possibly the most complicated and difficult that any Attorney could be involved in but his knowledge and diligence was so extensive that with other attorneys I would have needed both a Personal and a Corporate lawyer he was able to successfully handle all of it.He followed the letter of the Law at all times and assured me it would be worth it in the end. Divorce is one of the most difficult decisions that too many people have to make. The day I met Erica, was the day that I knew everything would be o.k. I found her to be very supportive, conscientious, caring, knowledgeable of the ins and outs of divorce and child custody, as well as very thorough. She made sure that I understood what was expected of me, and what I should expect from her. She was cognizant of my financial situation, and was willing to work with me to try and keep costs down as much as she could.

I retained Mr.Shimek for a situation that I needed resolved through family court. My family has hired Ron on many occasions, each and every time he has exceeded all expectations. We've used him on criminal cases and had outcomes we could not have imagined. We've also hired him for a custody battle as well as an adoption. During difficult times Ron is the voice of reason, telling us not what we want to hear but what we need to hear! We always have walked in stressed to the max, feeling the weight of the world on our shoulders. Yet when we walk out, have the immediate feeling that he has taken all of that weight and worry on to his own. He has good standing relationships with it seems everyone in the county building. Was falsely accused of felony domestic in an impossible situation where the truth seemed to elude everyone but myself, the man above and this attorneys brilliant intellect, insight and his extreme passion for the truth and what is real. The prosecutor in this case was also very ethical, smart and good at his job and did not resort to intimidation tactics. During the trial the prosecutor would make very strong legal and evidentiary statements, but Mr. Varga turned almost every one of them around to reveal the truth. I was shocked every time as it was as though he were there, with me at the time of alleged incident. I don't know if it is his experience, innate ability to read people and situations, or his raw intellect in combination with these qualities but Mr. Varga exudes gravitas and confidence. At closing statements the prosecutor asked the jury who should we believe, police officers and an alleged victim who have no reason to lie, or a defendant who has every reason to lie? Is it possible, yes, but probable absolutely not. I must admit at that point you could feel the juries mental cogs jostle and settle confirmedly into place with a decision then and there. And understandably so, as the closing statement made perfect sense had I not known the truth. But Mr. Varga had yet to speak and by now I had come to expect a logical and lucid revelation of reality to proceed from his ability to encompass the forest. And when he had finished his closing it was as all of our world views and frames of reference were challenged, rearranged and kindly put in correct order. It was palpable in the court room and maybe a little embarrassing to be convinced so strongly one way and then to be overwhelmed by a superior logic that requires one to completely revamp your thinking process. We all like to think our reasoning powers are fairly correct. But it was certain that many cogs had to be restarted and although I was relieved at this, it was humbling and educational to be a witness and benefactor of this outstanding human beings obvious genius level abilities. I felt like we were all taken to school and it was refreshing and appreciated by everyone. I can think of no one I would rather have at my side entering a courtroom in any circumstances or on either side. Words cannot do justice and there is not enough space to fully explain to give proper credit to Mr. Varga. He is down to earth and does not play. He would say he is just doing his job. If you are upfront, give him the honest facts and remain honorable, you have procured the best attorney possible!

We recently watched a case where Prosecuting Attorney, Allen Telgenhof presented the evidence in such a way that there was no doubt of guilt. His expertise in cross examination and questioning was professional and gave the victims confidence they had excellent representation. Layering every witness and recorded police interviews, the jury could clearly see truth. An excellent attorney.

Allen Telgenhof is a smart, responsible, ethical, professional who works hard to get the job done. I very highly recommend his services.
Because I live near Chicago, finding a lawyer in Charlevoix, Michigan to handle my long distance divorce case, initially, seemed like a daunting task. Allen Telgenhof was recommended as “a really good guy who you will be able to trust”. After phone interviewing several lawyers¸ and then making the trip north to choose one, I retained Allen.
Both on the phone, and in person, he was very easy to talk to and came across as smart, hardworking, trustworthy, and understanding. During my divorce, he accurately assessed my needs and worked diligently to make sure my best interests were met. He was kind and understanding, and kept me well informed during the entire process. He was patient in addressing my concerns and in answering my many questions pertaining to issues that were difficult for me to understand. At one point, he advised me to not go in a certain direction, as it would not have been cost effective for me, even though he could have made more money. The number one reason my husband and I chose to sign with our adoption agency and pursue building our family is because when we walked through the doors and spoke to the staff it just felt right. We went with our gut, which is important because adoption is about giving control over to anyone and everyone but yourself.
There are a lot of people in the adoption field who know what they’re doing and they do it well, so what makes Mary Addison rise to the top? She knows what she’s doing, she does it well, AND she feels right. She passes the gut-check with flying colors and there are so many reasons why! Mary and I communicated through email, text and phone calls for months before my husband and I travelled to Michigan for the birth of our child. My divorce was filled with controvercy from beginning to end. I started with another attprney but then switched to Mr. Eberth. He cut trhough all of fighting and got us divorce as amicably as possible with minimum fees. Mike is a great attorney.

From the moment I first met Meghan I was put at ease. Being the defendant in an unwanted divorce was upsetting, but knowing I had Meghan on my side gave me the confidence to move forward through this difficult process. She helped me save money by allowing me to write the settlement and then reviewing it for me. She was always available by email, and the legal assistant was always available by phone, giving me easy access to information all the time.
Some key things that really helped were: knowing I did not have to appear in court if nothing was contested; knowing my lawyer had my best interests in mind; knowing I was not being charged unnecessary or frivolous fees and most importantly having a female lawyer who could really understand my concerns.

Mr. Owdziej handled my recent separate-maintenance-turned-divorce with impeccable professionalism. Before I hired him, he spent a good deal of time understanding my situation, and answering my many questions. His fees were fair, and he was forthright and honest about what he could/could not do. I lived out-of-state throughout the whole case and he did an excellent job corresponding in a timely manner via e-mail and phone. He was always timely in sending me requisitions, keeping me up to date on what was going on legally.
We had a few challenges when a Draft of the Judgement sent to us from the opposing counsel had numerous errors. But John did not miss a beat - he drafted an alternate judgment quickly, paid attention to all the details, and made sure all my bases were covered. I did not even have to show up for the hearing (a huge relief for me!).
A divorce is a tumultous and painful process in itself, but Mr. Owdziej made the legal aspect as smooth as possible for me. I give my highest recommendation to Mr. John Owdziej, whose attention to detail, informed advice, and forthright attitude, have all the marks of an excellent experienced professional.

Over the past few years, I have worked with many family law attorneys and John is far and away the best. My case with him was uniquely difficult, because I live out of state and there was a tight deadline for filing a reconsideration motion. I called many attorneys in Ann Arbor, and those who called me back highly recommended John. He called me back right away and spent a considerable amount of time understanding my case. He was upfront about the fees (which were very reasonable) and worked very quickly with me to prepare the motion. I've seen a lot of motions these past few years, and John's looked like a brief to the Supreme Court, compared with what I normally see. I felt very confident after he filed the motion and the judge was easily convinced and vacated the prior decision (which was made pro per, before I hired John). I give John my highest recommendation!

From the first day I sat with her she was blunt, and said it like it was. No false promises. No ego stroking. and no sales talk just to get me in the door.
She is one of the most responsive professionals I know. She is VERY professional and articulate.
She handled my divorce after trying another firm, I had to let go, who stroked my ego and gave to me all kinds of promises that never panned out.

Ms. Curtis handled my divorce after I released a previous firm that claimed to really know the law....when it came to billing their clients it seems.
Was a firm that now advertises on the Radio....do not Hire anyone who advertises on the Radio!!!!
or who claims to be a 'Super Lawyer'.
She is aggressive, and does not back down, but only when necessary.
She is professional, highly responsive, and curbs emotion and stays the course.
She is VERY articulate and can handle a case if it has to go to trial, even though she tries every attempt to get you and your soon to be Ex on the course to settlement, as is best for all.
Her entire attitude is .....What are we fighting for? Let's just get divorced!
However....I had a (now Ex-) Spouse who made it a full time job to get a divorce from me and blame me for everything in life that is bad.
In the end....Gaylen got a VERY fair deal while trying to keep me in check with my emotions.
I would suggest Gaylen to anyone I know....and frequently do.
If your looking to destroy a family and fight for the rest of your lives, just to get your way.......well she may not be the one.....
But if your looking for a fair, equitable divorce and come out feeling good about moving on in life, then
