john was to the point and consulted me on how the the legalitlies would play out in court. he also informed me I believe to the best of his ability giving the facts of my case. he is straight forward and spoke clearly with me that that the average person would not understand the jargon of the judge/court would otherwise display. for a court appointed attorney he did well and I would hire mr. Albert Valk managed to correctly (and quickly) settle a difficult money fraud case that had been unsuccessfully attempted earlier by a few other lawyers over the course of years. Albert Valk not only did win the case (the latter involving evidence spanning many months of financial documents and statements), but also explained to us in simple terms what the related legal expenses were (rather reasonable given that the help of a detective was required) and how these expenses were important for the case. In the summer of 2015 I divorced my wife and needed an attorney that would listen, be proactive, and help me protect myself and my daughter. Harriet and Nancy were truly amazing during my divorce. What I liked was their ability to keep me focused on the final result while sorting through both the emotional and financial issues. And to be more specific, having never been through this process before and [no offense] hoping to never do it again, it is amazing to see how many incompetent "My Cousin Vinny" attorneys are out there. Was charged with a fifteen year felony in wayne county on next to no evidence. Didn't matter to the prosecution of course. Consulted with several big name lawyers in the area who didn't hear a word I said and seemed like they just wanted a paycheck for a plea bargain. I consulted with a family member that he represented in the past. Joseph absolutely smoked the states only "witness " on the stand to such an extend that I may have actually felt bad for them if they weren't trying to imprison me. The prosecution looked embarrassed a meager fifteen minutes into the hearing. Case dismissed WITH prejudice. Long story short, skip all those " highly acclaimed " jokes with paid reviews and hire this guy instead. You will not regret it.

Derek is just like anyone else but got a special talent. He is AMAZING with his work. Never been in trouble before let alone being charged with 4 felony counts for things I didn’t do. I finally get sentenced soon and he helped me get a plea deal with No jail and just one 5 year felony instead of having 3 more which were 20 year ones. I’m curious how sentencing will go on zoom and what he has to say. Another great thing is after 5 years and I stay out of trouble I can luckily get the felony expunged. Mr. Kalls helped me keep my house and my car! Gave me a lot of information so I knew what I was getting into. But he made the hole process real easy, one flat fee (reasonable) and it was over in a couple of months.
