I hired Mike Hanna for a child custody case. My case was settled Jan 2020. This was my second child custody case and I needed someone that knew what they were doing and would fight for what I wanted. I had a consultation over the phone with Mike and I just knew after speaking with him that he was the one I was choosing. He is honest, he doesn’t sugar coat anything, and he will tell you how it is. He knows what he’s doing and he will fight for you. I highly recommend Mike as an attorney. If I ever need an attorney again, he’s the only person I’ll call.

Mike is a great lawyer. He is very straight forward and honest, and that is hard to find the the legal business. He tells it like he sees it, he doesn't sugar coat the truth. He is straight with you in goals and what the probable outcome of your case will be. He is honest in what he thinks can be achieved and what can't, and if he can't help you he will recommend someone who can. He has a vast expanse of legal knowledge and experience. One thing that sets him apart is that he deals with his clients directly. If you call the office you will talk with him or he will call you back. He gives out his personal cell number in case of emergencies and answers at all times. He is a hardworking man and will fight his hardest for you. Even if your case doesn't go as planned, rest assured that Mike worked tiresly, tried every avenue, and did all that could be done. His legal team is also phenomenal; I could write a whole separate page on just how wonderful his paralegals, Jan and Anny, are. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced in the law and procedures. They also work tirelessly on your case. The two of them will know your case forwards and back and will help with anything. Mike and his team are the best in the Kansas City area, both in the court room and out. I wouldn't recommend anyone else to help navigate you in your legal needs.

Mike has helped me with several cases. He helped me with my dog case when I stayed in Raytown and everything went in my favor. Then years later Mike worked my divorce case and then came back and worked my child custody case which lasted for a couple of years. I came out on top for that stressful experience. Mike is very professional and cares about his clients. So I have referred Mike to several people and just recently I referred him to my cousin, who will be using him for her divorce. So I say Mike Hanna is the best lawyer in town not for what he did for me, but what his records show what he has done for so many others.

I hired attorney Karen Pittman-Pace for an entire year. It was a very complicated civil case. It was connected to another criminal case in another MO county. The Father was being denied access to his Baby. At first, it seemed impossible to get anything at court. But Pittman-Pace managed to win the case step by step, until Father and Baby were finally back together and happy. The whole family is now healing. Justice has been rightfully served in both civil and criminal courts. Mrs Karen Pittman-Pace is a hard worker. I don't know when she ever find time to sleep. She returns calls and emails in a timely fashion. Her communication skills are excellent. She took on my case and my sons case in family court with compassion and professionalism. I was completely stressed out and felt helpless until she took over our cases. My husband and I hired Mr.Ritchie to represent us in our case to relocate to a different state with my children. My children's father was protesting the relocation. We talked to several different lawyers regarding relocation cases. Most advice was that it was a difficult case. Mr.Richie advised us that the outcome of these cases are hard to predict. We hired Ronda after my daughter had been sexually harassed by a manager at her place of work. When she complained to us about the harassing manager, we advised her to go to the higher boss and make a complaint. The harassment did not stop. She went into her school counselor for advice. Upon hearing the issues, the school counselor contacted child protective services to report the abuse. We met with the school administration and were advised to make a formal statement with the police. Due to conversations from former employees who encountered family members of the now former manager, we were advised to obtain an ex-parte. Not thinking we needed an attorney, we appeared in court to have the ex-parte turned into a restraining order and found out the former manager hired a local attorney. Obviously we were caught "flatfooted" and quickly began reassessing our legal situation. We are members of Legal Shield and have been since 2004. We called the 1800 number and were told that we don't need an attorney for an ex-parte. Any subsequent phone calls made to Legal Shield were ignored by the assigned law firm. (Yup...we got one phone call, and only one phone call...) That's when I went to the internet to do some research on attorneys. I went to the AVVO website and found Ronda. Noting that she had extremely high marks on the website and remembering she was a local judge, I gave her a phone call. I wanted someone who had experience listening to both sides of cases. We met. She listened to our story and told us what to expect. We hired her because she knew the system, she knew how to measure our steps, and she explained in detail everything that could and would happen. She took the time to teach us and guide us through the legal process. But more importantly, Ronda believed in us. I'd like to say this was cut and dry, but it wasn't. This case took time to get the restraining order awarded. Ronda was there holding our hands the whole way through it. She never let us get discouraged. She always poured confidence into my daughter. We are exceedingly grateful to her skills as an attorney. If you are new to the area or just needing a lawyer. Do your research! Buyer beware! Not every lawyer is the same in quality and dedication. If you want someone with a lot of experience, who will tell you the HONEST truth about your situation, who is fair, who is informative, who cares about clients; Ronda is the lawyer you want to hire. Due to Ronda, my daughter can get on with her life. Thank you!

I hired Molly Murphy because my ex kept pushing for more child custody and support. Molly was always available to talk to me or update me. I could not be happier with the gartner law firm. I was referred to them by a friend also in the legal field. Right away when I talked to matt gartner about my particular work comp case he was very easy to talk to and did not give me that "salesman vibe" I would know as I am a salesman by profession. Matt did an excellent job explaining all the ins and outs of my particular case and looked at everything in a very objective fashion. Now I will say you must be patient with this process! You will not get results overnight. You must be patient to get the best result. I hired Mr. Lloyd to represent me in a Class A Misdemeanor DWI case along with a petition against the Department of Revenue (I refused the breathalyzer). In the criminal DWI case, there were several accompanying charges. The petition against the state would be quite challenging to overcome as well. Although the odds were against me, Mr. Lloyd readily took on my pair of cases. At the onset, I faced potential jail time along with losing my license for at least a year. Formal procedures commenced over the next several months. Mr. Lloyd was excellent about keeping me informed of my court dates and progress of the cases. It was apparent to me that he cared about my cases, which helped ease my mind at a time where that was not easy to do. By the conclusion of all this, Mr. Lloyd had continuously fought for the outcome of my immediate future. I believe his persistence and zeal shaped the positive result of both my cases. I served no jail time nor did I lose my license. As the end result of my cases could not have been better, I would recommend Mr. Lloyd to anyone I know. Mr. Scroggie was a huge help to our college freshman who has never had even so much as a speeding ticket and was inappropriately accused of criminal charges. Mr. Scroggie helped explain to our college kiddo why we were in-fact not going to accept anything other than a complete dismissal of the charges as there were no laws broken, the authorities never talked to our college student the night in question, and our kiddo had done nothing wrong. The case was dismissed! He is a champion of college kids who can so easily be scared/swayed/coerced! I highly recommend him and thank him from the bottom of our heart!

I recently contacted the firm about a custody modification and was pleasantly surprised by Erika's personality. She was knowledgeable about legal matters, but she didn't talk to me like I was an idiot when I asked questions (and I had plenty of them lol). I met with a different lawyer (not at this firm) prior to speaking with Erika, and I originally planned to work with him. A friend convinced me to call Flesner Wentzel instead because she felt like the first lawyer would not truly fight for my kids in the courtroom. I'm glad I listened to her. The prices for custody matters are very reasonable, and you can do a monthly payment plan. I'm a single parent, so knowing I can afford court without falling behind on other bills gives me peace of mind. I plan to hire this firm to represent me in the near future.

My ex and I worked out an agreement for an uncontested divorce and we both wanted to make sure our divorce was finalized as soon as possible. Erika was able to get our divorce filed quickly and had the judgment signed on the 31st day after filing (the soonest it could legally be finalized). I have been the recipient of an angry ex who has dragged me and our children thru the court "ringer" for over 2 years. I started with attorneys that touted many awards and years of experience. I wrongly associated high hourly rates with superior service. I couldn't have been more wrong. Frustrated with the family law system, I was going to go Pro se in family court to preserve any finances for an appeal that my ex had filed with the Western District. A quick manuever from the opposing side landed me with 4 motions to take place in one day, within 1 weeks notice, during a time that I had a pre-existing conflict. I contacted Elisha and explained my situation. She herself had very little time to prepare, but showed such compassion for me and my situation that she agreed to represent me. Wow! Words cannot explain how wonderful she has been. She demonstrated an excellent understanding of Missouri law. She told me what my options were with such limited notice and the inability to be present for that specific hearing. She then proceeded quickly to set me up for success. She filed the correct responses/motions within a couple of days. At the hearing, she genuinely spoke on my behalf expressing to the court everything that I wanted to say, but in superb legal lingo that I would not have been equipped with. Her phenomenal representation resulted in all of the motions going the way that I wanted. Impressively, Elisha also used her quick thinking and ability to grasp what was in my best interest; to handle a curve ball that the opposing team threw at the hearing (having not been discussed between us prior). I wish I had found Elisha years ago. I have no doubt that she would have prevented so much of the extra heartache and grief associated with my previous choice of outrageously priced attorneys who cared very little for me. I believe that my previous attorneys just saw me as a cash cow. Over two years too late, this lesson wasn't learned in time for me. But for anyone reading this, maybe it can help you. If you want someone who actually cares for you, respects your money, and fights on your behalf using incredible law knowledge- then I highly recommend Elisha Gilmore.

Excellent legal knowledge and very supportive not just legally but emotionally. Elisha has gone above and beyond during my fight against my vindictive soon to be ex wife. Providing excellent legal service to defend this exparte that is being used to keep my children from me. My dad had just passed away and we did not know how to proceed with estate. Everybody in the family was getting conflicting information. A friend referred me to The Hartung Law Firm. After having a very negative experience with two attorneys previously, regarding a civil case my husband and I were involved in , I learned of Attorney Natalie Phillips, quite by accident. Immediately upon meeting with Natalie, I could tell she was very different from the others. I was struck by how personable she is, as well as the way she intently listened to our issues and concerns, without making a snap judgment or jumping to conclusions. She took her time in speaking with us during our initial consultation, and offered reasonable advice and solutions to our immediate pressing issues. She worked closely with us to find a viable solution to our on-going, nearly four-year nightmare, and she did it quickly, professionally, and was able to complete it all within our very tight budget. Natalie Phillips ALWAYS returned my calls or emails quickly, and was able to do in 3 weeks, what the other attorneys we worked with were unable to do in nearly four years!!! Richard, took my case and not only counsels reagrading the law but life in general. It says something when the judge you are pleading before stops and says this man did an amazing job to get you this plea bargain and you owe a big thank you. When I to see Richard Hicks, I was upset about a bad business deal I went through. Things were heated and I really wanted to sue the opposition. Richard calmed me down and got me thinking straight. He told me to stay out of court and that I had very little chance of success with my case. Richard was a straight shooter and instead of just taking my money like a typical attorney, he chose to do the right thing. The problems from the business side ended up working out its own. If you ever needed anything legally, you should consult with Mr. Hicks.

Matt was very good at explaining the law. I had never been through a divorce before, and needed "coaching" on many issues. He also talked with my unpleasant ex-husband as well as met with him to finalize the case. Overall, VERY GOOD.

Mr. Dawdy is an excellent lawyer. When we needed legal advise and help he was able to let us know what we were expected to do and kept us informed all the way. Not really knowing the legal system and court system he kept us informed at all times as to what we could expect and what was expected of us. He was very professional but at the same time, kept us at ease. This was a difficult time for us and he made the process much easier for us.

I began using Vern Dawdy for all of my personal and business needs beginning approximately 35 years ago. He possesses great communication skills and is an excellent litigator. I’ve found him easy to contact and he always returns my calls on a timely basis. I’ve found him straightforward and realistic regarding possible outcomes on my cases. Additionally he possesses a gift for writing contracts, as verified in litigation. In conclusion if Mr. Dawdy weren’t the best he wouldn’t still represent me after all of these years.

Mr. Dawdy is a fantastic lawyer. He is well renowned in the legal community and sits on the state board of ethics. He is a no nonsense "straight shooter" who is not afraid to "roll up his sleeves" and work for you. Whereas many lawyers wont let their client have a say in their OWN case . Mr. Dawdy will listen to you, advise you on your options, and let you make the final decisions, if you so chose. Mr. Dawdy's down to earth and humble demeanor is very refreshing in the legal community. Mr. Dawdy is a fantastic "partner" to have on your legal team. Oftentimes he will work well into the evenings making sure his clients are taken care of. Mr. Dawdys experience is second-to-none. He has seen it all, and is a fantastic ally to have advocating for you. I would highly recommend Mr. Dawdy to anyone (especially a father wanting a fair go in family court).

Blake is an exceptional attorney. Did not rush my consultation made me feel confident by the time I left. Easy going guy to talk with about your legal issues. Comes off as very confident straightforward. His legal fees are very reasonable compared to other attorneys in the Barry County area. Can be difficult to reach at times but that should be expected with any attorney that is getting hired. Office staff very kind. Spoke with the paralegal she is also very knowledgeable. I would recommend Blake to any of my close friends I would also rehire him for future issues if need be.

We hired Blake to help us out on a new boat dock issue that we were going no where with. The gentleman that agreed to sign the forms with the other 11 members of the boat dock, did so, then removed his name a day before our final meeting. I went and spoke to Blake on how to handle the situation since a lot of money had changed hands in order to get our new boat dock built. Three to four people had bought or traded slips, and one member had purchased a brand new boat, which the new boat dock would accommodate. Blake took time out to go visit this gentleman at his home. After a few back and forth meetings with this gentleman, he agreed to put his name back on the list at the Corp of Engineers office and paid his share so we could move forward. Our old boat dock was 35 years old and everyone is excited to finally see a new, safe and secured dock being built. I would recommend Blake Fields for hire. He did a great job for us.

Very professional, kept me informed regarding the progress of the case. When the other party was not willing to negotiate, Ms. Costas found other options to help solve my case. I would highly recommend Ms. Costas to anyone. She would always respond to any phone calls or emails in less than a twenty four hour period. One thing that really stood out to me was the fact that Ms. Costas would reply to me herself. And through the whole process Ms. Costas stayed upbeat and positive.
